[0:00] Back in 2018 through 2021, I was majorly [0:03] addicted to a little game called League [0:05] of Legends. I play all day and night, [0:07] learning the ins and outs of every [0:09] character, all the different [0:11] interactions [music] [0:11] and pretty much how everything worked. [0:14] And it was a constant improvement to the [0:17] point where I even got diamond, but [0:19] that's where I kept to be honest. But I [0:21] was and am very happy with that. But [0:24] during that time, I did try my hand at [0:27] Dota 2 and I hated it so much. And that [0:29] might have been due to the fact that I [0:31] was so hooked on League and I couldn't [0:33] look past that Dota is its own game. So [0:37] yeah, I played one game and put it down [0:40] and never look back. And I was always [0:42] chalking it up to an inferior League of [0:44] Legends, but recently I've had an itch [0:47] to play a MOA and I already know League [0:51] back of my hand. So I want to challenge [0:52] myself and see if I can master Dota in [0:55] 100 hours as a complete noob. So, I [0:58] gathered up my old duo Q partner and we [1:00] got to work learning Dota [music] 2 to [1:02] see if we could actually master it or [1:04] hell even understand it because it is [1:06] vastly different to League of Legends. [1:11] Going into this, I decided to look at [1:13] all the characters to see if I could get [1:14] a feel for any of them just off design, [1:16] and I really couldn't. I just couldn't [1:19] tell where someone was meant to play. [1:21] While in League, you can see the [1:22] characters and kind of get an estimate [1:25] of where they're meant to be. Uh, [1:27] another thing I learned was that almost [1:29] every character in [music] this game, [1:30] for some ungodly reason, is a nuker, [1:33] which got me extremely nervous knowing [1:35] that even if it's a support, they could [1:37] just pop me like nothing. And after [1:39] looking for a couple minutes, I decided [1:41] [music] to play Underlord, who's meant [1:43] to be a support character, which is the [1:45] opposite of my [music] usual role in [1:46] League, which is an ADC. So, I thought, [1:49] why not try a new game, a new character, [1:52] and a new role? So, when we loaded up [1:55] into the game, I was just thrown into an [1:56] absolute mess of a shop where nothing [1:58] made sense to me. And pretty much all of [2:00] my starting items seemed to have active [2:02] abilities, [music] which was really [2:04] throwing me off. But I just tried to [2:06] ignore it for now and focus on laning. [2:08] But every so often, I just couldn't [2:09] understand what was [music] happening on [2:10] my screen or how the game was meant to [2:12] be played. So, for some reason, I just [2:15] ended up asking questions [music] of how [2:16] stuff works to someone who had as much [2:19] experience as me in the game. So, where [2:22] do where does my money come from then? [2:25] >> Uh, not everyone really needs money. [2:26] >> Oh, [2:27] >> some would just use their abilities like [2:29] you know sports in other games to like [2:31] CC and stuff. You probably need strength [2:33] to be more effective. [2:35] >> While laning as well, stuff was just [2:37] kind of happening like people taking [2:38] items [music] from a magical fountain [2:40] and stuff like that. But the main issue [2:42] that we had was we had no clue what any [2:45] character did, [music] let alone our own [2:46] characters. But that didn't stop others [2:49] from messing up and gifting us kills, [2:51] which is where [music] I learned a very [2:54] important thing in this game where [2:55] getting kills does not matter [music] [2:58] nearly as much in the early game as it [3:00] does in League of Legends. [3:02] And instead, you should be focusing on [3:03] getting the minion kills to keep a gold [3:06] lead and XP lead. But we didn't really [3:09] do that. Instead, we just kept trying to [3:10] fight, which got us into another [3:12] important lesson. The towers only [3:16] pretend to help in this game. I swear [3:18] they don't do anything in reality. They [3:20] shoot peashooter bullets from Plan's [3:22] first zombies at you. But even though we [3:24] didn't know what we were doing in the [3:25] slightest, we did end up actually [3:27] winning our lane for our first game and [3:31] we were doing quite well. And I think [3:33] what helped was how simple my character [3:35] was. And before no time at all, we was [3:38] all pushing mid and actually won [music] [3:40] our first game of Dota 2. Now, could I [3:42] tell you what any of the characters did [3:44] in that match other than mine? [3:47] No. In fact, I probably couldn't even [3:49] tell you what my [music] character's [3:51] role was other than rooting people. I [3:53] was also really confused about how the [3:55] map was laid out, questioning where our [3:57] jungler was all game, but it didn't [3:59] matter because we won lane. I didn't [4:01] really mesh well with Underlord either, [4:03] and I like the look of Venomancer, so I [4:06] tried him out and uh well, it did not go [4:10] well at all in the slightest. and I got [4:14] absolutely decimated with him. Getting [4:16] one kill before I had to [music] leave [4:18] to watch the villa match. But don't [4:22] worry, that match was pretty much over [4:24] before I [music] left. We had no chance [4:26] of having a comeback. And yet again, I [4:28] couldn't tell you a single thing about [4:30] that match that was happening. So, I had [4:32] to play a lot more matches just to get a [4:35] beat on the game. So, that's exactly [4:37] [music] what I did, going match after [4:38] match trying to get the basics of the [4:41] game. And I was starting to learn stuff [4:43] about the game actually, such as there [4:45] isn't actually a [music] jungler in this [4:47] game, but instead it's kind of just like [4:49] a 212 layout. And that really threw me [4:52] off because there's the off lane where [4:55] you'll be the aggressive side [music] [4:57] pushing closest to the enemy's tower. [4:59] The mid lane, which is, you know, just [5:01] kind of like the mid lane in League, and [5:04] then the safe lane where you're [music] [5:06] closer to your tower, even though they [5:08] do nothing in Dota. So, you know, the [5:10] the tower, you know, you're just closer [5:12] [music] to the enemy's base. I guess the [5:14] map's also symmetrical. Well, in League [5:17] of Legends, the map split, which is [5:20] pretty neat to learn. I also learned [5:22] that you can give each other items and [5:24] potions [5:25] uh to quickly help out, heal, or refill [5:28] the manner of your teammates. And my [5:30] final match of the 10 hours was [5:32] approaching, and [music] I still didn't [5:33] have a character that I found that I [5:35] liked or even found slightly [music] [5:38] enjoyable. So, I tried yet another new [5:40] character because I'm a firm believer in [5:42] once you find a character [music] or a [5:44] class or a role or something like that [5:46] in any game, it becomes so much more [5:48] easy and funner to play. Such as in 2x [5:53] KO, I still haven't really found a [5:55] character I mesh well with. I like I [5:56] play Warwick, but with the such a small [5:59] roster, I don't find the game too [6:00] enjoyable. But in tech, I found [6:04] characters that I like meshed well with [6:06] and I played better. But anyway, on my [6:08] final match of the first 10 hours, I [6:11] decided to try Jeze, applying everything [6:14] I learned so far about the map and the [6:17] side that we were on and [6:20] um how to farm minions and how to [6:22] support well, but we still had the issue [6:25] of not knowing what any of the [6:27] characters did. And it felt like our [6:29] opposition was just leveling up so much [6:31] quicker than we were. [6:33] But we knew how to take fountain fruit [6:35] now. But just knowing that kind of stuff [6:39] did not stop us from getting our throats [6:41] throttled the whole game. Doing an [6:43] occasional helping thing, but overall it [6:46] just didn't feel like I was doing much. [6:48] Occasionally, I hit a stun uh while [6:51] people were under towers. And before no [6:54] time at all, we was fighting a losing [6:56] battle due to the lack of knowledge and [6:58] just being oblivious. Like this death [7:00] here. Once we finally won a fight. [7:03] [laughter] [7:04] >> Did you see anything? [7:04] >> Yeah. [7:05] >> On the tree. [7:15] >> Shadow. [7:19] Is that fire? [7:21] >> Oh, no. They're they're my fire mixed [7:23] with their demon. [7:24] >> Oh, it's this thing. [7:25] >> Yeah. No, my fire is mixed with it. [7:27] >> And him? Where did he come from? [7:32] He dies. [7:34] >> Triple kill. [7:36] >> Yeah, Shadow Blade. It makes him go [7:38] invisible for 17 seconds. [7:40] >> So, yeah, that match was heading the way [7:42] you think it was. And before no time at [7:44] all, we had yet another loss under our [7:46] belts. Our first 10 hours, we had 11 [7:49] losses and five wins. And it was just a [7:51] rough experience. [music] [7:52] But like I have said, this is a learning [7:55] experience, and we have learned a lot, [7:57] but we still have a lot to learn. [8:00] And the thing that we've learned was [8:02] that we have got our roles all swapped [8:05] up and are putting ourselves at a huge [8:07] [music] disadvantage because I have not [8:10] had much fun playing any of the support [8:13] characters, which was a huge mistake by [8:15] myself. So, I needed to accept the loss [8:17] here and move on to a role that I play [8:20] in League just so it feels like a more [8:23] natural transition. I'm not a support [8:25] player. I'm an ADC player and it will be [8:28] easier for me to play a role in this [8:30] game that was similar to what I've [8:33] already played. [8:37] And that's what I was really hoping at [8:39] least was true. Also, my friend was the [8:42] one that was heading to the fountains [8:43] and remembering to collect the fruits [8:45] and activate the statues or some [ __ ] [8:47] involving that, while I was the one that [8:49] was focused on the minions and poking [8:51] the enemies back. So, yeah, we were just [8:53] mixed up from the get- go. [8:57] These hours I knew I needed to really [8:59] lock in because while the first set of [9:02] hours weren't really quite a waste, they [9:06] weren't as productive as they should [9:07] have and could have been. I don't know [9:10] many of the characters, minus a handful [9:12] at this point, and I weren't good with [9:15] them. I was just playing the wrong role. [9:17] And I and I still don't get what is a [9:21] character's ability and what is an item [9:23] in the game. I don't know when I should [9:26] be trying to start a fight. I don't know [9:28] how to maintain a lead on gold or XP [9:30] yet. So, all of that really needs to get [9:33] sorted out quickly. So, this time I [9:36] decided I [music] would spend more time [9:38] trying to figure out my character [9:40] that I would stick with and learn [9:42] everything about. While in League of [9:44] Legends I had Cogmore, I needed Dota's [9:48] version of Cog'more and just couldn't [9:50] find it because for me, the weirdos and [9:52] freak characters are always so much more [9:54] fun to play. So, after a while, I [9:58] decided I wanted to play Weaver, a [9:59] spider guy whose main source of damage [10:01] comes from his auto attacks. And we went [10:04] into our first game of the post 10 hour [10:07] mark and the first game of me being a [10:09] carry for us [10:11] and yet again it didn't go well with us [10:15] getting demolished. But once it didn't [10:17] feel like it was our fault really [10:20] as we had a 1 and 16 axe with us, a five [10:24] and 12 bow woman and a three and nine [10:28] eye of Sauron. So yeah, it really felt [10:32] like it was a mountain we had to climb [10:36] to even possibly have a chance at [10:38] winning this game. But I did like how [10:41] Weaver felt and I like how his ult just [10:44] a reset button like an ADC echo and how [10:47] his W is a stealth and a little bit of a [10:50] damage dealer. I really liked his kit. I [10:53] didn't use it perfectly. [10:56] So, we just kept queuing up, both of us, [10:59] trying to learn more and more of the [11:01] game. I learned how much I hate the [11:03] secret shop and how it literally feels [11:05] like filler in this game that it just [11:08] doesn't need to be there. It just feels [11:10] like it's slows the pace of the game so [11:14] much. And I already know this game is [11:17] like a really, really slower version of [11:18] League. [11:20] >> Now, will we ever [11:23] get a good game? [11:27] a dynamic duo. [11:29] >> No, I think the game's telling me this [11:32] is [11:32] >> my support error. [11:36] [laughter] [11:36] >> Oh my god. [11:39] >> While I loved Weaver, I decided to sneak [11:41] in a Viper game in there. And this game [11:44] I was against a Weaver. And since I [11:45] played so much Weaver already, I kind of [11:47] knew how he worked to play against. So I [11:51] knew the basics of how this guy was [11:52] going to play. and we kind of just ran [11:55] through [music] them and we had the best [11:57] game of our career so far, holding the [12:00] lead throughout the entire game. My [12:02] friend was feeding me every kill [12:05] possible. We were using our kits to the [12:07] fullest. Sure, we kept making mistakes [12:10] that [music] was costing us deaths and [12:11] everything, but we was also still [12:14] learning and I'm playing a new character [12:16] for the first time. And it was finally a [12:19] game where I was doing a lot. So, I [12:23] wasn't backing down no matter what. I [12:25] even started using some of my items [12:27] active abilities to get in range of [12:29] people and do damage. And it honestly [12:32] was such a blast to be [12:36] doing this well for once. And I actually [12:39] ended the game going 19, 8, and 22, my [12:42] personal best yet. And it was with a new [12:44] character to me. But even though I did [12:46] better with Viper, I'll just have him as [12:49] a pocket pick because I do prefer Weaver [12:52] and know that my pop-off game with him [12:53] is yet to come. [12:57] So hours 10 through 30 were a lot better [13:00] for us because we started to learn more [13:02] and more stuff about the game and we [13:05] could actually start to differate it [13:06] from League of Legends from the [13:08] mechanics like [music] how the fountains [13:10] work giving you XP and also how the [13:12] pillars give you some XP or something. [13:14] We also learned how to deny minions, [13:16] which is huge in this game because it [13:18] stops your opponent from getting golden [13:19] XP from the minions, which is actually [13:22] huge. But I still have a long way to go [13:27] due to not knowing when to last hit the [13:30] minions. And weirdly enough, I still [13:31] didn't understand how the towers worked [13:33] because sometimes it hits the minions [13:37] and sometimes it just decides to hit me [13:39] when there's clearly minions in its [13:40] range, which can't be RNG in a game like [13:43] this. [13:45] So, we still had to figure out how that [13:48] worked. [13:51] I also found out two characters that I [13:54] really liked, but again, I still don't [13:56] know what most of almost any other [13:58] [music] characters do other than these [13:59] two ones and the ones my friend played. [14:02] >> Yeah, the path actually hurts my soul. [14:05] Oh my god. [14:08] Weaver was still being learned and I was [14:11] looking at different item guides for him [14:13] because of how complex the items are in [14:15] this game and well, pretty much [14:17] everything in this game is. And it [14:19] taught me that if you want to get into a [14:21] MOA, you should know that League is [14:24] around 30 times more welcoming [music] [14:26] for new people because for some wild [14:29] reason, this game has a thing called [14:31] Dota Plus, which is a subscription based [14:34] thing and when you get it, it teaches [14:36] you the basics of the game with what [14:40] area certain characters can play and [14:42] stuff like that and giving you like I [14:44] think a better better shop guide or [14:46] something. I'm not really sure, but it [14:48] should really just be in the game by [14:50] default. But that's fine. Who cares [14:52] about that? Out of being stubborn, I [14:54] refused to pay to learn stuff in a game [14:56] and wanted to carry on learning by doing [14:59] as we had been for the past 30 hours [15:01] now. But these hours just continued [15:06] to be games where we were trying to [15:08] learn different characters or different [15:11] opponents or how to use our abilities [15:12] together. Well, and what I found out is [15:14] I really hate this one character called [15:17] Techies. I think it was kind of like [15:20] this game's Teemo just putting bombs [15:21] around the map that will just demolish [15:24] you out of nowhere. And it is the most [15:26] annoying thing in human history. [15:29] But other than that, during these [15:32] matches, I really was just focused on [15:35] getting the last hits of minions and [15:36] limit testing my damage as Weaver. I [15:39] also learned that sometimes people can [15:41] see me when I'm in my W state, but I [15:44] didn't know why. [15:47] >> These games were just passing and [15:49] passing, and I felt like I really was [15:52] improving slowly but surely. [15:56] But I could tell that we were also going [15:58] against better people the more we [16:01] played. And it seemed like the level [16:02] gaps from the teams were just disgusting [16:04] most of the time, leaving us with no [16:07] chance in hell to possibly win. But that [16:09] didn't stop us from pushing more and [16:11] more games in to the point where I was [16:13] actually pretty comfortable knowing what [16:15] to buy on weaver at this point. But I [16:17] still didn't understand the whole [16:18] strength, agility, and intelligence. [16:21] But I was assuming that strength was [16:24] attack damage, agility was attack speed [16:28] and [music] [16:29] intelligence was magic damage [16:32] respectively. [16:34] If [16:37] I was put it in put yeah if I was [16:39] putting it into League of Legends terms [16:41] at least. [16:44] >> Yeah. So maybe I don't really know. But [16:47] yeah, I was understanding what to build [16:49] on Weaver anyway, but I wasn't sure why. [16:51] I was slowly learning as well different [16:54] characters such as Tiny who can throw [16:56] people around and grows bigger as the [16:57] match goes on or tree man who thrives in [17:01] the trees and can like root you and [17:04] stuff like that. So yeah, I was learning [17:07] what to do around some characters, but [17:09] nowhere near 120th of the cast. Could I [17:12] name them or tell you what they do? [17:16] So, yeah, I'm still feeling pretty early [17:20] in my character training arc. [17:23] Also, at this point in time, my friend [17:25] started watching some videos to see what [17:27] we were doing wrong, and it seemed like [17:29] we [music] were doing the basics fairly [17:31] well and weren't making too many [17:33] mistakes, which was great to know, but [17:35] that doesn't really make us perfect. At [17:38] best, it makes us below average, which [17:40] you know what, at this point in time was [17:43] pretty good to me. I' I'd take it with [17:45] how many hours we had under our belts. I [17:48] started trying to use my courier more as [17:50] well instead of teleporting back to the [17:52] shop and buy my items. And also having [17:55] walked to the secret shops for me, so I [17:56] didn't have to bother [music] wasting my [17:58] time on this meaningless task that is [18:01] the uh secret shop. I [music] hate it. [18:04] But I did keep forgetting to use him [18:07] consistently. And for the League of [18:09] Legends people, the courier is kind of [18:10] just a thing that buys stuff from the [18:12] shops and then delivers it to you no [18:14] matter where you are on the map. So [18:16] [music] that is quite useful. But the [18:18] enemies can find your courier and kill [18:20] it, putting it on a death cool down and [18:23] gifting them gold. [music] [18:24] So it's a riskreward kind of thing. I [18:27] actually quite like it, but I can see [18:30] why it isn't used in League because it [18:32] is a much faster paced game. [18:34] Well, in this there's no recall [music] [18:36] button, but instead you have to buy town [18:38] scrolls to go back and you get a town [18:40] scroll after death or you can spend 100 [18:43] gold on the town scroll. Hours 30 [18:45] through 50 saw a vast improvement for me [18:48] from learning a lot about Weaver and how [18:50] his items work with him. And I also [18:52] started to attempt to learn how [18:54] different characters work and what they [18:56] do. I was still learning how to play [18:58] around them and stuff like that. I still [19:01] truly don't understand how towers work [19:03] yet. So, for the next 50 hours, I [19:05] [music] will also be sprinkling in some [19:07] videos here and there so I can truly [19:09] learn what I need to [music] because as [19:11] far as the basic mechanics go, I really [19:14] do think I've learned all I can on my [19:16] own for now. I just need to start [19:18] getting to the somewhat more [19:20] intermediate mechanics. And also, I [19:23] think watching videos on the game will [19:25] help me learn the characters and the [19:26] importance of each lane and [music] when [19:28] I should swap lanes and all that kind of [19:31] stuff. But somewhat of a problem for us [19:33] is we can still get a lead most of the [19:36] time, but holding that lead feels [19:38] impossible. Like we'll be two levels up [19:40] on our opponents in lane, then 10 [19:43] minutes later we'll see them somewhere [19:44] [music] and they'll have more items, [19:46] more XP, and then we'll just get slapped [19:49] [music] around. So, we really need to [19:51] learn what's going wrong there. [19:58] >> Every single time we queued up now, it [20:00] seemed like we were outclassed for some [20:02] reason. Almost as if all our training up [20:04] until this point was all for nothing. [20:07] And I have no idea at all what we've [20:09] done to summon the Goon Squad to come [20:11] out of the woods and abuse us. But [20:14] that's exactly what was happening at [20:16] this point. just pure abuse to the point [20:18] where I was questioning if we weren't [20:21] even playing against bots to begin with. [20:23] And when I say these 25 hours were a [20:26] waste, that's exactly what they were. It [20:30] was just match after match of losses and [20:33] sadness to the point where I really [20:35] didn't even really want to finish this [20:37] challenge up at the point. I was just [20:39] starting to hate my time on the game due [20:42] to the steamrolls. like [20:46] we had no chance whatsoever. I guess I [20:50] got two positives from it. Actually, I [20:53] was starting to learn some of the actual [20:55] characters we were going against because [20:57] of how much we was getting battered by [20:58] them. And we was also coming up with [21:01] like different theories on what they did [21:03] when we saw them and like how they could [21:05] use their abilities to catch us and [21:06] stuff. But I still couldn't say for [21:10] certain 100% what every character does [21:13] or anything that we that you could show [21:14] me. And we was also learning more about [21:17] the map. [21:20] We was also learning more about the map, [21:22] such as there's areas you can go to to [21:24] get XP and also little gold bounty [21:26] things on the floor at the start of the [21:27] game that people fight for. [21:30] The shop was also becoming slightly more [21:33] clear to me, but I still think that [21:35] League of Legends shop is just so much [21:37] better. But that might just be a biased [21:39] thing that will never go for me just [21:40] because it's just more streamlined and [21:43] understandable. Whilst this game shop is [21:46] very cluttered [21:48] and the game doesn't really assist you [21:50] in any way or tell you what items do [21:52] what really. [21:57] It also has a bunch of special different [21:59] terms like just to be different or I'm [22:03] an idiot. Who knows? But yeah, there's [22:05] not really much to talk about in these [22:06] hours. I was just still playing Weaver, [22:09] getting my [ __ ] pushed in. There was [22:12] just pain during these hours. And you [22:14] know what? It really dampened my [22:16] experience on this game a lot. But I saw [22:19] the light at the end of the tunnel and [22:21] just locked in because I only had 25 [22:24] more hours left. [22:27] The final stretch of this challenge and [22:29] I knew this was my last chance to prove [22:31] myself. So, I got straight to work [22:33] trying to focus on everything from CSing [22:36] to taking fights I need, poking the [22:38] enemies when I need to, trying to force [22:40] them out of lane or at bare minimum make [22:42] them have to spend more money on health [22:43] bots and stuff like that. But I was [22:46] still slipping up way too often, causing [22:48] losses, and obviously a lot of times I [22:50] was just dueling a lane, just farming, [22:52] [music] and then one of my teammates [22:53] would get ran through and then we would [22:55] get ganked and then from there there's [22:57] no hope for the game. But that's bound [22:59] to happen in these kind of games. But I [23:00] still feel like I should know how to be [23:02] getting around that to be honest. But [23:05] for now, there was just no way for me to [23:07] even have a hope against this kind of [23:10] stuff. So, I just take it on the chin [23:12] and move forward. These games were going [23:14] a lot better than hours 50 through 75. [23:18] It didn't feel like I was getting curb [23:19] stomped and had no chance of fighting [23:21] back in any sort of way. It might have [23:23] been because we took like a week or two [23:25] off due to like me being away for work [23:29] and when I was at home, I just really [23:31] didn't want to play Dota 2 cuz of how [23:33] those hours went. But it felt like the [23:37] people we were going against had dropped [23:38] in skill level and now they [music] were [23:40] more around our level. Or it could be we [23:43] was a lot more focused for once and [23:45] actually [music] dropping call outs to [23:46] one another and coming up with plans. [23:49] Also, just because we are pushing into [23:52] the 100 hour mark doesn't mean we can't [23:55] [music] still learn things because I [23:58] found out that you can kill your own [23:59] minions or even towers to deny [music] [24:01] the enemies from getting them. And you [24:03] can also lead out the jungle camps every [24:06] 5 minutes or so so that you can double [24:07] them up or stack them, which is [24:10] extremely neat. But yet another thing [24:12] you need to keep track of while playing [24:14] the game, which is insane. It really [24:18] feels like there's a checklist of stuff [24:20] for you to do to keep track of. And for [24:22] me, it might be because I'm still not [24:24] used to it yet. But I just lose track of [24:27] the time and everything really quickly [24:29] whilst I'm trying to focus on CSing to [24:31] the point where I don't know when I'm [24:33] meant to be in the jungle killing the [24:34] camps or where the XP when I should like [24:38] go to the XP shrine thing. Before I knew [24:40] it at all as well, I was on the last [24:42] match of the challenge. And when I say I [24:45] locked in, I locked in hard. I knew this [24:49] had to be one of [24:51] the best games I could put in. And it [24:55] was. [24:56] I install locked Weaver and Let Loose. [24:59] And this was possibly the funnest match [25:03] of the whole challenge. While my farming [25:05] wasn't perfect and I was still messing [25:09] up in areas as you do, I was getting [25:13] minions fairly consistently and [music] [25:15] I was exploring the jungle and getting [25:16] the camps. My friend as a support was [25:19] feeding me all the kills and getting the [25:21] fountain fruit and giving me the health [25:22] and mana when I needed it. We were [25:25] outpoking the enemy as well. And well, [25:29] this is the highlights of my final game [25:31] of the 100 hours. [25:35] Spirit breaker. [25:36] >> Oh yeah, Spirit Breaker's alt. Um, okay. [25:38] She healed is it's a global alt where [25:41] she just charges. It's like um imagine [25:43] Scion's all but it's point and click. [25:48] Oh. [25:52] >> So, do I do switch to uh Oh, [25:59] >> what? [26:02] [laughter] [26:03] Wait, what does he do that? Cuz [26:05] >> that was the blink. [26:06] >> Okay, but some people have a different [26:09] like when someone denies your creep. [26:10] Like someone denied one of mine. [26:13] >> Hey, I just giggling. Not sure what's [26:15] happening. This video this one. This [26:17] one's just a messy starter. [26:19] But hopefully it's the last one before I [26:21] can play play some new characters. [26:25] Yeah. [26:28] >> I want to say forever. I want to say you [26:29] can just keep doing it. [26:34] most [26:40] going to make it. Oh, what the heck? [26:41] Talk about me. Oh, [26:45] is this guy real? [26:47] >> Yep. [26:49] >> Oh, okay. [26:52] >> Oh, god. Oh, [26:53] >> it's a jump scare. [26:58] >> Definitely kill him. Uh, I can [27:02] definitely try to live. [27:06] >> Oh, there's Viper. [27:08] >> Go first. Oh crap. He's definitely like [27:11] death on my cheeks. There's no way. [27:16] >> Oh, he's accompanied by someone. [27:19] No, that is a this I don't have this [27:22] such a good stage. [27:36] Oh okay. [27:38] >> So, so we got it. Hey, keep that. Keep [27:40] that luck. We We need that. Damn. [27:50] Oh my god. [27:55] >> Okay. [27:57] Okay. [28:02] >> Okay. [28:04] I don't know what I just did. [laughter] [28:07] That's crazy. [28:10] >> Hey, just keep doing it. I I'm going to [28:12] rinse the game. [28:19] Oh, good heals. Keep Y [28:43] range here. [28:45] Oh, he go. [28:52] >> Oh my god. [28:53] >> Yeah, just in the game first then. [28:57] >> Oh. Oh, it's 85% by the way. Oh, yeah. [29:01] Oh, [29:03] >> good. So good. [29:06] >> Come on. [29:08] Please. I am extremely proud of that [29:11] game. I'm sure if a Dota [music] player [29:13] saw that, they'd be cringing their eyes [29:16] out and just flaming me. But for me, [29:18] that was an amazing game and [music] it [29:20] felt like a highlight of my time on Dota [29:22] 2. Everything I learned in the 100 hours [29:25] was applied from both [music] me and my [29:27] duo. So yeah, that's my first 100 hours [29:30] on Dota 2, and I can happily say I [29:33] enjoyed my time with this [music] game [29:34] overall, even if I was getting quite [29:37] sick of the game near the end because of [29:39] how non-bgner friendly it is. [music] [29:41] And when people do compare this game to [29:44] League, there should be one thing that [29:47] people know. This game is like 10 times [29:50] harder than League. There is just so [29:52] much more going on in this game, and it [29:54] feels like there's always more to [29:56] someone's kit than you would possibly [29:58] think. I still prefer League in every [30:01] way, and I think that's always how it [30:04] will be just because it's so much more [30:06] quicker and snappier to me. Um, and it's [30:09] [music] it was my first moa. The [30:12] characters just are more fun to me. Jump [30:14] on and mess around. You [music] know, [30:16] it's just one of those games. Whilst [30:18] Dota seems to have like more layers to [30:21] it. Um, but it has one too many layers [30:26] [music] for me. And again, that's just [30:29] due to my inexperience with it. But [30:32] yeah, the character designs also aren't [30:33] for me. and there's no [30:36] like variety in characters that [music] [30:38] I enjoyed. [30:39] Uh, will I ever return to Dota 2 in my [30:42] life? [30:43] I'm probably probably one day cuz I do [30:46] want to try and tackle [music] the [30:47] ranked, but for now I can happily hang [30:50] up my gloves on a high of the last game. [30:54] I still had so much more to learn, so [30:56] much more to improve on. I still don't [30:58] really understand how towers work. Um, I [31:01] [music] don't know half the cast. In [31:03] fact, I don't even know a quarter of the [31:04] cast of the game. So, yeah, I still have [31:07] so much more to improve on, but for now, [31:11] yeah, the gloves are hung up for me. I [31:14] hope you enjoyed the video, and if you [31:15] did, please like and subscribe. That [31:17] would help me out so much. And thank [31:19] [music] you for watching.
