[00:02] mid-game progression is figuring out how to locate and harvest crude oil, which hamstring your progression pretty significantly if you don't learn to master it. For those would-be oil tycoons, here's everything you need to [00:14] know about farming crude oil in Palworld. [music] game, from sandy deserts to snow-covered mountains, you'll start to find little black cracks in the ground with a bit of liquid spilling out. These are your [00:29] sources of oil, and unlike most other resources in Palworld, there's no way to bring it to an existing base. You'll have to actively set up shop right on top of it to claim it for your own. Let's dig in. [00:45] need to have reached level 50 and unlocked the oil extractor from the technology skill tree. This will allow you to place oil extractors on top of any crude oil deposits you find out in the world, but you can't just place an [00:57] wilderness. You'll need to build a base somewhere that has them. So, if you haven't already set up your second or third satellite bases on Palworld's map you'll be required to cross at this point. You'll need to build a Palbox to [01:10] claim the area surrounding it as your territory, make some beds for any Pals build a farming plot and food container so the Pals can feed themselves. I least three oil deposits in close proximity to one another. [music] I [01:24] found one such spot in a small island called Oasis Isle to the far east of the having no hostile Pals for you to [music] contend with. Once you've built Pals, you'll need to build the foundation for running oil refineries. [01:38] The first is, of course, the extractors, which require a whole bunch of refined ingots and other mid-game resources you'll have had plenty of access to by now. But oil extractors also [music] require power, so you'll need to build [01:50] power generators as well. You can go the hamster wheel route and run your poor Pals ragged, or build pylons that can be charged up with the help of an electric pal. I recommend the latter. Keep in mind that oil extractors take a whole [02:02] lot of juice to power. So, you'll need to place a few power sources in the base and keep at least a few electric pals deployed to keep them running. Once the automatically start [music] harvesting that sweet, sweet fossil fuel. [02:16] base has a box to store the crude oil you're going to harvest [music] and some pals deployed who have the transporting work skill so that oil can be moved to the storage [music] box. I recommend adding a guild chest so you can access [02:29] other base you've built. If you want, you can make the satellite base little minimal effort into sustaining [music] it and using its outputs to power a base Once you've set up an extractor or two, the resources will start to flow in and [02:44] know what to do with.
