is so much more than just going [0:22] to the gym or eating healthy it's about [0:24] building habits that actually fit into [0:26] your life so in today's video I'm [0:27] breaking down five gamechanging steps [0:29] that will make your fitness journey [0:30] stick this time this isn't about quick [0:32] fixes or unrealistic plans this is about [0:34] setting yourself up for long-term [0:36] success let's get into [0:39] it step one is to figure out exactly [0:42] what you want you need to be clear and [0:44] specific about your goal are you trying [0:45] to build muscle get leaner improve [0:47] endurance maybe it's just a feeling of [0:48] feeling more confident in your body for [0:50] me actually writing down my goals helped [0:52] so much every morning I take a few [0:54] minutes to journal reminding myself [0:55] exactly why I'm doing this because let's [0:57] be real motivation will fade there there [1:00] will be days where you don't feel like [1:01] showing up but but when you have a goal [1:02] that's clear it's easier to stay [1:03] consistent and your goal doesn't have to [1:05] be extreme it could literally be you [1:06] committing to the gym three times a week [1:08] or drinking more water or even walking [1:10] 10,000 steps a day and one mindset shift [1:12] that completely changed for me was [1:14] focusing on the process and not the [1:16] outcome if your goal is Fat Loss don't [1:18] obsess over the scale instead track how [1:20] strong you feel how your energy improves [1:21] how your clothes fit differently the [1:23] more you focus on the small winds the [1:25] more motivated you'll [1:26] [Music] [1:28] stay okay now that you have a goal let's [1:30] talk about your workout routine because [1:32] this is where a lot of people can go [1:33] wrong they either do too much too fast [1:35] or they pick a plan that doesn't align [1:37] with what they want for example if [1:38] you're trying to build muscle but all [1:40] you're doing is cardio that's probably [1:41] not going to cut it and if you're trying [1:43] to lose fat but skipping on strength [1:44] training you're missing out on so many [1:46] benefits the key to choosing a plan is [1:48] one that supports your goal two is [1:50] actually sustainable for your schedule [1:52] and three is something that you enjoy [1:54] for me I keep my workout structured and [1:55] effective by sticking to this format do [1:58] compound movements these could be your [1:59] heavy multi-joint lifts like squats dead [2:01] lifts or presses I then move on into a [2:04] unilateral exercise this can help [2:06] correct muscle imbalances and improve [2:08] stability think of things like single [2:09] leg rdls split squats single arm rows I [2:12] then finish off my workout with one to [2:14] two isolation movements these focus on [2:16] specific muscles like bicep curls tricep [2:18] extensions or lateral raises this keeps [2:20] my workout efficient balanced and goal [2:22] driven listen if you're new to the gym [2:24] and feeling overwhelmed just stick to [2:25] the basics focus on mastering your form [2:28] and compound lifts first before adding [2:29] extra weight and lastly track your lift [2:31] so you can focus on Progressive Overload [2:33] at the end of the day consistency [2:34] matters more than anything the perfect [2:36] plan means nothing if you can't stick to [2:38] it so pick something realistic and start [2:40] showing up [2:43] consistently so now that you've set your [2:45] goal and picked out your workout routine [2:47] now you need to fit it into your life [2:49] because if you don't it's only a matter [2:50] of time before you fall off and let's be [2:52] real for a second most people don't [2:53] struggle with motivation they struggle [2:55] with structure how many times have you [2:56] told yourself I'll go to the gym later [2:58] and then later comes and suddenly you're [3:00] too tired something comes up or you just [3:01] don't feel like it anymore that's why I [3:03] always say treat your workouts like an [3:05] important meeting you wouldn't just [3:06] randomly fit in a work meeting or a [3:08] doctor's appointment so schedule it and [3:09] start showing up your workouts deserve [3:11] the same level of priority and I know [3:13] some of you might be thinking I don't [3:14] have time I'm too busy I'll go when I [3:16] have more energy but here's the truth [3:18] you don't find time you make time like I [3:20] said before schedule it like an [3:22] appointment literally block off time in [3:24] your calendar and treat it as a [3:25] non-negotiable also find your best [3:27] workout time if you're not a morning [3:28] person don't force yourself to train at [3:30] 5:00 a.m. if your evenings are packed [3:32] hit the gym earlier in the day set a [3:33] realistic Commitment if you can only go [3:35] 3 days a week that is totally fine just [3:37] be consistent with those three and also [3:39] have a plan before you get into the gym [3:41] nothing wastes time more than walking in [3:42] and not knowing what you're doing also [3:44] for me having a pre-workout routine [3:45] changed everything it eliminates [3:47] decision-making and gets me in gym mode [3:49] my routine usually looks like this I [3:50] finish off work I don't scroll I don't [3:52] have any distractions I close my laptop [3:54] and shift Focus I change into my gym fit [3:57] and something about putting on a cute [3:58] outfit just makes me feel so much better [4:00] about going into the gym the goal here [4:01] is to make your workouts a [4:02] non-negotiable but also sustainable [4:04] because at the end of the day it's not [4:06] about having the perfect plan it's about [4:07] having a plan that you can actually [4:08] stick to and once it becomes part of [4:10] your routine you won't even have to [4:11] think about it it'll just be something [4:13] that you [4:13] [Music] [4:15] do okay now let's talk about nutrition [4:18] because no matter how hard you train [4:20] what you put into your body matters just [4:21] as much as your workouts and listen I [4:23] know nutrition can feel overwhelming [4:25] there's so much information out there [4:26] calories macros meal timing what to eat [4:29] what not to eat eat it's really easy to [4:30] over complicate it but here's what I've [4:32] learned the simpler you can make it the [4:33] easier it is to stay consistent because [4:35] eating healthy isn't just about knowing [4:37] what to do it's about setting yourself [4:39] up for success I first recommend [4:40] starting with a Sunday reset for me [4:42] Sunday is my reset day it's when I set [4:44] myself up for the week so I'm not [4:45] scrambling every day trying to figure [4:47] out what to eat I go grocery shopping I [4:49] stock up on everything that I need for [4:50] the week I also meal plan I don't prep [4:52] every single meal but I make sure that I [4:54] have staples ready and lastly I clean [4:56] and organize because the clean kitchen [4:58] makes it so much more easier to at home [5:00] when I go grocery shopping I keep it [5:01] simple I focus on Whole nutrient-dense [5:03] Foods that fuel my body here's my go-to [5:05] list for protein sources I go for beef [5:08] chicken eggs Greek yogurt carbs I go for [5:10] Rice oats fruit potatoes the fats could [5:13] be anywhere from avocados raw cheese [5:15] nuts and one of the best things that you [5:17] can do is go to the store with a plan [5:18] make a list before you go so you're not [5:20] just throwing random stuff in your cart [5:22] and then wondering what to eat later I [5:23] don't over complicate meals I keep [5:25] things super simple high in protein and [5:27] something that I actually enjoy the opposite [11:13] side of everything that you're putting [11:15] off in those moments that you really [11:16] push yourself and don't skip the gym you [11:18] actually build more character and you
