What's going on, guys? I'm going to be
showing you how to um
play music through your mic and video
games.
You're going to want to come over here
to vbaudio.com.
Go to the audio apps virtual audio
cable. Going to want to download the VB
cable, virtual audio device
right here.
And then you're going to also want to
grab Voice Meter Banana, the advanced
mixer. Download that here. Right here we
have the two.
Want to extract
both of these.
We want to first install DB audio cable.
Do that. I already have it installed.
Going to go through the installation
process. install it.
I'm not removing the driver. It's
probably going to ask you to restart the
device or your device. After you restart
your device after installing that, I
want to come to voice meter
and run the setup. Same thing. I already
have everything installed.
No reason for me to reinstall it again
because it's going to ask me to restart.
So once you have those two installed,
you're going to have something like
this.
Your banana
something like this is going to come up
now. All right.
So once you open up this,
come down to your bottom right hand
screen. Click the uh the sound. You're
going to want your desktop input set to
voice meter input.
Then for your selected stereo device,
you're going to want to put the
microphone that you wish to use in video
game. So currently right now I use the
uh 5in microphone number two. You put
that as your input device. As you can
see now it's reading my inputs. These
channels right here, your A1, A2, B1,
B2, all these channels correlate to over
here.
So, if I were to put A1, I would now
hear my own voice through the desktop or
through the um speakers.
So, for your microphone, you want to
have it set to just B1 and B2 because
this is going to be used as the virtual
mic in game.
Then for stereo input number two, you're
going to want to do the uh the cable
output, your virtual cable output.
Right now, there isn't anything
feeding into that virtual audio cable.
But if you want to listen to your own
audio, you do A1 and A2
because over here, this is where you set
your hardware outputs up over hardware
out. For your A1, you're going to want
to set your headphones. A2, if you have
an Elgato, you could then use that to
output to the Elgato on A2.
So, for the virtual inputs, you're going
to want to put A1 and A2. So, it goes
out through your headphones and your um
what is it? Your TV, television, if you
want to have dual audio outputs.
After that, you're then going to go into
your sound settings.
Currently right now we have
for your output
you could choose whatever uh B1 or B2
but these right here B1 and B2 are the
virtual output devices to use as an
input device.
So that's what you're going to use. Not
Yep. That's what you're going to Yeah.
V1. God dang it. V1 going to set that as
your input device. And if you go down to
advanced sound settings,
you're going to click uh you're going to
find Spotify,
have Spotify play some music,
and then you're going to choose your
virtual uh cable input. All right. When
you do that, is now going to play music
through
the audio cable. And you can see the
music
right there playing through all the
audio channels. So currently right now
the cable output is outputting to both
my headphones, my Elgato and then also
my two um virtual outputs. So now when I
use my mic and play music, it'll play
through the virtual audio
input technically for the mic. So
technically this is being used as my mic
and these are being phased through and
my headphones speakers are grabbing A1
and A2 to listen alongside PE what
people are hearing through my mic as
well.
And then you're going to want to go into
control panel
sound
and set your virtual meter input to both
set the set as default device and set as
default communication device. You're
going to want to set that for your input
so it always
is on. You don't want to switching sound
like you don't want to be switching
devices so forth whenever you plug
something new in set that at the as a
default for both communication
and just as default device. Same thing
for recording the microphone that you
wish to use in game to play music.
You're going to want to use,
[Music]
sorry, you're going to want to use
either B1 or B2 as your default
device and as your default communication
device.
Now, when want to play any type of
music, now it doesn't even have to be
just Spotify. Like, let's just say for
example, sound settings. I want
uh let's see let's open up a YouTube
video. Let's see.
YouTube.com
and let's just say
>> in 1929 in Chicago
>> to come out through the the desktop,
right?
We would then find where is it? Opera
and put that also as your cable input
and it'll output
whatever device that you set as cable
input through your mic.
That's pretty much that.
Pause that.
All those two
and then you'll learn how each channel
works. I mean, you could mess with the
gate to make sure that your mic's not
peeking in game. So forth. Same thing
for the music. Double click to reset.
Double click to reset.
And hopefully that helps you on
getting it all together because right
here, these virtual inputs are
your desktop audio on where it's going
to like pretty much what this is. Sorry.
This picks up everything that's on the
desktop and sends it through A1 and A2.
