[00:00] Every time I stream, my stream gets super laggy. How can I fix that? There are three different ways that your stream can become laggy, and you can find them all in your OBS. Open your OBS, go to the view menu, and open your stats. [00:13] Here you can see dropped, missed, and skipped frames. Missed frames happen when your graphics card can't keep up with the stream. The first frame is still rendering, and the next one already joins the queue. The best way to solve this is to turn down your game or OBS settings. [00:27] Skipped frames happen when your encoder gets too many frames at once. A frame is rendered ready to be sent to Twitch, Kik or YouTube, but your encoder is still working on the last one. This usually happens if you are sending too many frames to OBS. [00:41] Remember, you can't stream higher than 60 FPS, so limit your game to that for the best viewer experience. Lastly, there are dropped frames. And this is the one we all know. Your internet hiccups or your ISP is slow again. [00:54] Your PC sends the frames, but Twitch never receives them. This is the hardest to solve, because you need to turn down the bitrate in your OBS or get better internet. Sorry.
