# Two New ETFs That Exclude Elon Musk

> Source: [Two New ETFs That Exclude Elon Musk](https://youtube.com/watch?v=VoV9XFN4uHY)

## Summary

The video discusses two new ETFs filed with the SEC by a firm called Title, which track the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 indexes but exclude any company founded, controlled, or led by Elon Musk. The ETFs, with tickers SPN and QQN, aim to provide exposure to the indexes without Musk-affiliated companies. The creator criticizes the high expense ratio and suggests that buying VOO and QQQ directly is a better alternative.

### Key Points

- **New ETFs Excluding Elon Musk** [00:02] — A firm called Title registered with the SEC to launch two ETFs: S&P 500 XEL Elon ETF and NASDAQ 100X Elon ETF, with tickers SPN and QQN, which track the same indexes as VOO and QQQ but exclude companies founded, controlled, or led by Elon Musk.
- **Company Background and Fees** [00:32] — Title is the same company that offers an ETF tracking Nancy Pelosi's stock trades, which has an expense ratio of 72%. The creator implies that the no-Elon ETFs will likely have similarly high fees, making them a costly premium for investors.
- **Creator's Opinion and Alternative** [00:48] — The creator thinks these ETFs are 'a little silly' and suggests that investors should simply buy VOO and QQQ instead, which provide the same index exposure without the high fees and without excluding Musk companies.

### Conclusion

The video presents the new no-Elon Musk ETFs as a niche product with potentially high fees, and recommends that investors stick with traditional index funds like VOO and QQQ for better value.

## Transcript

anything to do with Elon Musk. These are called no Elon Musk ETFs. And this week, a firm called Title, they registered with the SEC, the S&P 500 XEL Elon ETF, and the NASDAQ 100X Elon ETF. Their ticker symbols are going to be SPN and
QQN. And I assume that these stand for S&P no Elon and QQ no Elon. They track the same indexes as VU and QQQ with one primary difference. And that would exclude any company founded, controlled or led by Elon Musk. So that means for
included in these tickers, but then you get everything else in the index besides that. This is the same company that has an ETF that follows Nancy Pelosy's stock trades. And that ticker N has an expense ratio of 72%. In other words, you're
going to pay a fancy premium in fees just to own one of these special ETFs by this company. And my guess is is that when the no Elon ETFs come out, they ETFs are a little silly in my opinion,
this is what you can do. Personally, I'm just going to buy V and QQQ, but I would love to hear what you would do. Would you buy these ETFs? Let me know in the you buy these ETFs? Let me know in the comments.
