[0:00] Have you been asking yourself, how much [0:01] money does YouTube pay for 1,000 views? [0:04] In this video, I'm going to share with [0:05] you how much YouTube pays me for 1,000 [0:08] views. And if you're monetized, but your [0:10] YouTube earnings are not stable. In this [0:12] particular video, I'm going to share [0:13] with you a few tips that you can use to [0:15] increase your YouTube revenue. I [0:17] remember when I was just beginning [0:18] [music] YouTube, my first time to begin [0:19] a YouTube channel, I used to ask myself [0:21] a lot of questions. Is YouTube really [0:23] worth it? And I know a lot of newbies [0:25] out there are asking themselves this [0:27] kind of a question. Is YouTube really [0:29] worth it? Can YouTube pay you better [0:30] than your current job? You're asking [0:32] yourself once you get monetized, can [0:33] YouTube pay all your bills and you live [0:35] a better life? By the end of this video, [0:37] you're going to get all answers to such [0:39] questions. And without wasting [music] [0:40] any time, let's get started. Hey [0:42] creators, [snorts] welcome back to my [0:43] YouTube channel. If this is your first [0:44] time to be my channel, my name is Ben. [0:46] On this channel, I make videos about [0:47] tools, tips, and strategies on how to [0:49] grow on YouTube. So, make sure to [0:50] subscribe, turn on notifications, and [0:52] don't forget to like this video. Let's [0:54] grow together. Now, I'm going to use [0:55] three different videos from my channel [0:57] right here. And the reason why I'm using [0:59] three different videos from my channel, [1:01] it is because these videos have [1:03] different features. The features this [1:05] video have, they make them earn [1:07] differently. For example, if a video [1:09] gets more views from the US and another [1:11] video gets more views from Nigeria, a [1:14] video that got more views from the US, [1:16] it's going to earn more money for every [1:17] 1,000 views it gets. But a video that [1:20] got views from Nigeria is going to earn [1:22] more money for every 1,000 views. And [1:24] now, let's begin with this video right [1:26] here. This video has almost 6,000 views [1:29] earned me $8. Now, a video with almost [1:31] 6,000 views earning $8, that is very [1:35] poor. It is very low. And I'm going to [1:37] show you why this video is actually [1:39] earning me low money. And I'm going to [1:40] show you how much YouTube is paying me [1:42] for every 1,000 views on this video. And [1:44] I'm also going to tell you why. So that [1:47] when you get monetized or if you're [1:48] monetized right now, you avoid doing [1:50] these things or avoid including these [1:52] features in your videos. And now [1:53] [snorts] before I continue, allow me [1:55] introduce today's sponsors. This video [1:56] is sponsored by Nexus Clips, and I want [1:58] to be real with you for a second. All [2:53] right, let's first see how much YouTube [2:54] is paying me for every 1,000 views on [2:57] this particular video. As you see, the [2:59] CPM of this video is $3.18. [3:02] CPM, it is how much advertisers pay [3:05] YouTube to advertise on this video. And [3:07] now, RPM, it is $1.37. [3:11] RPM, it is how much YouTube pays you as [3:14] a creator. This RPM, it is deducted from [3:17] the CPM. After YouTube deducting their [3:19] money from the CPM, what remains? It is [3:22] RPM, which is your payment. And the [3:24] reason why the CPM and RPM of this [3:26] video, it is low. The first thing, this [3:29] video is [music] short. This video is [3:30] just 6 minutes. If you've been watching [3:32] my videos, I've been always saying that [3:34] upload longer videos on YouTube. Upload [3:37] videos that at least 8 minutes or [3:39] longer. Only videos longer than 8 [3:41] minutes are eligible for midroll ads. [3:44] I've been saying this that if you make a [3:45] video that is not 8 minutes longer, if [3:47] you make a video that is 4 minutes, 5 [3:49] minutes, 3 minutes, 6 minutes, or even 7 [3:52] minutes, YouTube doesn't allow you to [3:54] put ads in between that video. And if [3:57] you don't put ads in between your [3:59] videos, it is equivalent to getting low [4:01] payments. It literally means that you're [4:02] going to earn low money. And that's the [4:04] same case that you're seeing on this [4:06] video. This video I'm not able to put [4:08] intermediate ads because this video is [4:10] less than 8 minutes. And if I don't put [4:12] intermediate ads, it literally means [4:14] that my video is going to earn low money [4:16] because it is the ads that make YouTube [4:18] to pay us creators. Now, this is my [4:20] second video right here. This video has [4:22] 12,000 views and this video has earned [4:25] me $100. This is better compared to the [4:27] last video. And I'm going to be [4:29] explaining why. First of all, as you [4:31] see, this video is longer than 8 [4:33] minutes. This video is 11 minutes. And [4:35] when we go to monetization right here, [4:37] you're going to see that I can put [4:39] intermediate ads in between this video. [4:41] As you see right here, I have [4:43] intermediate ads, which is not the case [4:44] with the previous video. The previous [4:46] video, I cannot put ads in between it. [4:49] And that's why I'm earning low money on [4:51] that video. Let's go straight to CPM and [4:53] RPM and see how everything is actually [4:56] standing. I'll definitely scroll down [4:58] here and we can see the RPM and CPM. How [5:00] much advertisers pay. This is the CPM. [5:03] As you see, advertisers are paying $15 [5:05] for every 1,000 views to advertise on [5:08] this video. And YouTube is paying me $8 [5:11] from $15. That is very good. It is [5:14] better than the previous video. Now, if [5:16] you're not monetized right now and [5:17] you're chasing for monetization, you [5:19] need to begin considering this because [5:21] if you don't consider this earlier, [5:23] you're going to get monetized and after [5:25] getting monetized, you're going to earn [5:26] low money. So, the first thing I [5:28] mentioned here, it is making videos that [5:30] are 8 minutes or longer. As you see, [5:32] this video is 11 minutes and this video [5:34] is actually earning better money. And [5:36] the second thing that is making this [5:38] video pay me $8 per 1,000 views it gets, [5:41] it is about the audience. The biggest [5:43] deal here is United States. 10% of [5:45] viewers on this video are from the US, [5:48] which will make YouTube pay me better [5:49] money. YouTube is paying me $8 per 1,000 [5:53] views I get on this video. And now, [5:55] let's go to the third video right here, [5:56] and I'm going to show you how much [5:58] YouTube is actually paying me on this [6:00] video. Now, as you see, this video has [6:01] 43,000 views and YouTube has paid me [6:04] $570. [6:07] This is very good earnings because some [6:08] creators to earn $500, they need at [6:11] least 100,000 views or even beyond [6:13] 100,000 views. But with only $43,000 [6:16] views, YouTube has paid me $570. [6:20] Now, let's go to revenue and see the RPM [6:22] and CPM of this video. But before we go [6:24] to revenue, I would like to also mention [6:26] this. As you see, this video is more [6:28] than 8 minutes. This video is 11 minutes [6:31] and 45 [music] seconds. And when we go [6:33] to monetization right here, you're going [6:35] to realize that I'm able to put [6:37] intermediate ads. I'm able to put ads in [6:39] between this video. And as you see, this [6:41] video has 1 2 3 four intermediate ads in [6:45] between it. Meaning, this video is [6:47] selling more products. [music] And [6:48] that's why YouTube is paying me more [6:50] money. Now, let's first look at how much [6:52] YouTube is paying me for every 1,000 [6:54] views on this particular video. On this [6:56] video, advertisers are paying YouTube [6:59] $24.29 [7:01] [music] to advertise for every 1,000 [7:04] views. And YouTube is paying me $13.27 [7:07] to advertise or to run ads on my video, [7:11] which is the RPM, $13 per 1,000 views. [7:15] That is very great and it is very rare. [7:17] And I'm going to mention now the [7:18] features or the things that made this [7:20] video earn this kind of [music] good [7:21] money. And the first thing of course it [7:23] is this video is 8 minutes longer. This [7:26] video is 11 minutes as you see right [7:28] here. And apart from that when look at [7:30] geographies it is the United States on [7:33] top with 14% and Nigeria second with 14% [7:37] Kenya with 4.9 and India South Africa as [7:41] you see right here. And getting more [7:42] views from the US it literally means [7:44] that my video is going to earn more [7:46] money. And as you see this video is [7:48] earning more money.
