[1:17] testing. [1:21] Testing. [1:25] Testing the mic. [1:29] Testing the mic. [2:19] Uh, welcome to me working on [2:24] uh, streaming wirelessly from the Action [2:26] 5. This is a test. [2:30] It may be useful in future environments. [2:34] And I want to see if I can get this [2:36] thing going. All right. [2:42] Can you hear me? [2:45] I am typing. [2:50] Beepus. [2:52] You can good. Fantastic. [2:55] Um, [2:57] so what I've been working on is getting [3:00] the Action 5 camera [3:04] uh streaming to my phone [3:10] and then it's streaming from here [3:14] uh to the computer. [3:17] So, we're only really monitoring it [3:21] uh [3:23] uh from the computer. [3:26] But as I think my goal is that, you [3:31] know, we can do the podcast and not need [3:34] the computer here and be able to go to [3:36] friend's house and just as long as I [3:37] have Wi-Fi with the phone, [3:41] be able to have the Action 5 and be able [3:44] to stream on YouTube that way. Well, why [3:45] don't you just use your phone? Well, [3:49] you know, this is another fun piece of [3:51] technology. [3:53] like really um you know I haven't tested [3:58] uh uh YouTube streaming on on the phone. [4:01] Last time I tried to do uh live [4:03] streaming on the phone, [4:06] YouTube only allowed you to have a video [4:09] vertically. [4:12] And what I want is, you know, obviously [4:15] landscape and I also want to have two [4:18] mics to be able to uh uh record that [4:22] way. [4:23] So, [4:25] um, hey, it's Matt. Yeah. Sound check. [4:27] Uh, what's that built-in furniture [4:28] behind you? Well, now since we're [4:30] totally mobile [4:33] and um as long as I'm as long as I'm [4:36] within shot of the phone [4:39] uh and I can use the action 5 to do [4:41] this, you know, we can go around what's [4:43] what's behind me is a builtin office [4:48] and I can also turn on the overheads [4:52] which look like that. [4:55] Uh, [4:57] this is number shelves. [5:01] And [5:02] I guess I could have had the computer [5:04] here. [5:05] Um, but that's not good sponge, [5:10] you know, if you're beating off and then [5:14] someone just comes in behind you. Um, so [5:20] and also I don't think I think my [5:22] monitor is bigger than that space right [5:24] there. But then also I'm dealing with [5:28] having wires come down around here cuz I [5:30] think my nearest outlet is over there. [5:32] I'd have to have wires going around. I [5:33] mean, this would work and it's kind of [5:37] nice and imposing to have this here, but [5:39] then I'd also be dealing with uh [5:44] um these blinds right here. And then I [5:47] just like having my case here that I'm [5:50] always working in and out of. Um uh [5:54] please tell me that table is temporary [5:56] and you're getting legit. When you say [5:58] table, you mean this buffet table that [6:01] I've been using as a desk? No, that's my [6:06] permanent desk. I've been using that as [6:09] a desk since college. I'm very attached [6:13] to this buffet table. It follows me [6:15] everywhere. Um, it looks awesome for [6:19] writing a book. Yeah, it's very Wes [6:21] Anderson. Wes Anderson. Obviously, I [6:23] need more stuff on the walls. Um, but [6:26] that also means I could take my phone [6:28] with me [6:30] and uh go outside. [6:35] Um, someone says, "Is an LS swapped RX8 [6:38] a good first car?" You're you're you're [6:40] just messing with me. [6:45] So, since you're with me, let's do a [6:47] test of the wifi. [6:50] Um [6:51] cuz the wifi it's going to get dark here [6:54] in a minute. [6:57] Uh the wifi [7:01] is [7:03] in here. This room was going to be the [7:06] podcast room. And I still do want it to [7:08] be this this way. And it's not a problem [7:11] to do uh an offline podcast to just use [7:15] the action five for that. [7:18] and then be able to [7:23] have this nice background in here. Also, [7:25] this chair is awesome. Um, it's not [7:28] mine. My friend K bought this thing for [7:31] like two bucks. [7:33] Two bucks at a thrift store [7:37] and uh he just says, "Yo, can I put this [7:39] here?" And I said, "Please put it here." [7:42] But the chair is amazing. [7:48] It's almost kind of like the chairs that [7:50] they have uh on the Adam Freeland show, [7:54] but this this this chair rules. I I get [7:57] into it and I don't want to think, but [7:59] since I moved from a very tiny house [8:01] into this big one, we have all this [8:03] empty space on the walls and it's been a [8:06] year since I moved in. So, [8:10] and and I still haven't decorated. Like [8:12] I have my little pictures here from the [8:15] old house that that nicely filled in [8:18] stuff. The only thing that fills in the [8:21] space is this gigantic mural on the wall [8:24] uh from the previous owners. Of course, [8:27] I need to go back to the back in the [8:30] office. And then check to see the stream [8:33] is still going. It's going good. Uh [8:37] Matto says, "Yeah, that's a steal." [8:40] That's the one downside. um doing the [8:43] stream this way since I can't check my [8:45] phone. Um [8:48] because my phone is locked in the DJI Mo [8:52] app [8:54] and [8:55] I'd have to log into YouTube. I actually [8:58] that's a test. Oh, we got a live we got [9:00] a [9:02] we got a pay me money thing. Durk says [9:05] give a uh give a good hoot for JS man if [9:09] not. [9:10] I I don't know what that means. A hoot [9:12] for jorts. [9:15] I haven't worn jorts in forever. [9:20] Mr. Regular, what are your thoughts on [9:21] the impact of AI from the pediological [9:23] perspective? [9:24] You know, [9:27] I've lived through the original dot [9:29] bubble and I'm ready for the bubble for [9:32] uh uh for AI as well, [9:36] but I think I need a beverage. So, let's [9:39] see how the wifi transfers [9:45] from the Action 5 to my phone [9:50] to YouTube. And I wonder if it would be [9:54] easier, since we're on a tether, for me [9:58] to [10:02] leave my phone [10:06] here, [10:08] right there, [10:11] cuz that's the phone is what's [10:14] sending [10:17] the stream signal, not the action five. [10:20] All the action five has to do is go [10:25] to my phone, right? [10:29] So, [10:31] but since I'm doing this solo, [10:34] I don't know if this is actually [10:36] working, [10:37] if just having it one room away is [10:40] enough. [10:46] So, what sort of beverage would I like? [10:49] I think [10:52] I'm going to get white girl about it [10:56] and pour myself [11:00] some [11:01] pumpkin spice. [11:04] What is this? [11:08] Pumpkin spice cream laor. Okay. So, [11:14] it's like uh [11:21] it's like eggnog [11:23] but not quite. [11:26] This is leftover from the party. [11:28] Honestly, I like this stuff. [11:31] And yes, this is the bar. Of course, [11:33] also if we can stream from the phone [11:34] like this and the stream's working [11:37] really well [11:39] and cuz that was our problem down [11:41] before. We didn't have enough Wi-Fi to [11:43] stream in the bar. But now if we do have [11:46] enough Wi-Fi because it only has to go [11:48] to the phone out there in the other [11:49] room, we could have two mics right here [11:52] and just do the podcast from here, [11:54] right? [11:56] That would be a goal. Of course, we [11:58] would also need someone down here on a [12:00] tablet or something just to monitor the [12:04] [music] [12:05] monitor the the chat going by, right? [12:09] So, I can talk to you. [12:16] We got into this stuff the other night. [12:19] Wild Turkey. It does make good whiskey [12:21] sours with like the pre- whiskey sour [12:23] mix. So, that's pretty good. [12:32] All right, let's go up and and see if [12:35] the stream because I can't actually see [12:37] what you're saying, chat. Let's go back [12:40] up. [12:43] Be great to get these things working [12:44] again, right? Ring, ring, ring. A real [12:48] rotary telephone in this house. [12:51] Oh, wait. If it actually is working, [12:53] let's do some ASMR stuff. [13:13] Cool. [13:19] I think this cream laor would taste [13:21] better if it was a little warm. [13:26] Maybe the warm would take because it [13:28] still has an edge to it. Okay, [13:32] now that I'm back in here, let's just [13:34] double check [13:36] to make sure [13:40] that [13:42] All right, VHS Candy Wild Turkey reminds [13:44] me of freshman year. Oh, super chat. Any [13:48] plans on reviewing a Range Rover [13:49] Classic? Yeah, I'd love to get my hands [13:50] on one. I think someone that I met at U [13:56] A&E offered one. Thank you so much and [13:58] thank you for the donation. [14:01] Um, [14:05] is anybody else getting a crackly stream [14:06] or is it just me? Okay, so maybe it's [14:08] Maddo got a crackly stream when I went [14:10] downstairs. [14:12] Um, [14:14] still have signal. [14:17] Uh, 70s vibes. Yeah, looks fine. [14:21] swaps in general. [14:24] Why does Mr. Regular give me Rick [14:26] Sanchez vibes? Says, "Pretty streamless [14:28] to me. Audio crackle here and there." [14:30] Okay, so we're still running. [14:35] We're still having a problem [14:40] uh [14:42] getting good Wi-Fi down in the bar. [14:46] Okay. [14:49] All right. Five by five at the bar. Bit [14:51] of an audio glitch. Also drink for [14:54] Tibberon owner. Okay. So, we still have [14:56] to be upstairs [14:59] and to to get a good Wi-Fi signal. [15:03] If the camera was stationary or is it [15:04] fine when you were moving around it was [15:06] crackling? [15:08] Okay. So, was that the crackling just [15:10] from me touching the mic [15:14] or was it crackling when me touching the [15:16] camera? Interesting. [15:19] I think it may be the mic's crackling [15:21] and not have the Wi-Fi signal. Okay. [15:25] Interesting. [15:30] All right. Hey, hey, hey. The CB 400 SF [15:34] Super Sport VTEC's greatest motorcycle [15:36] with tastes and something something. I I [15:38] think a 400 cc bike is fantastic no [15:41] matter how many cylinder cylinders it [15:43] has. [15:45] Me thinks it's the lapel mic. No, it's [15:47] when you were moving around the house. [15:50] Interesting. [15:53] All right. Well, let's see if it [15:57] crackles again [16:00] when we take a jaunt [16:03] out here. [16:08] I still have my phone on me. Yeah. When [16:11] we take a jaunt to the kitchen [16:20] and take this pumpkin spice lor stuff [16:24] and give it a zap, see what it tastes [16:27] like. [16:29] I am freaking hungry [16:32] because I'm still on this diet. [16:35] And the diet uh is me trying to get to [16:39] 169.9 lbs so I can get under 70. I [16:43] weighed myself this morning at the gym [16:45] before I was hydrated and I was 172.4. [16:51] So in terms of morning weigh-ins, I have [16:53] three lbs to go. [16:56] I've been on the diet since [16:59] uh throughout the entire month of [17:01] January. [music] So, all right. How does [17:05] this pumpkin spice lor taste? Warm. [17:11] Still too warm. Too warm. [17:14] A little different. [17:20] How you guys doing? Um, [17:23] I really want to drive the giveaway car [17:26] more. It's the uh 95 Toyota Starlet. [17:29] It's right now under the porch protected [17:31] from the weather. [17:33] But in order to get it out, we would [17:36] have to dig a path through the yard. And [17:40] like most of the country, what's been [17:42] going on out here is that the or most of [17:44] the East Coast after the first light [17:47] snow, then came sleet. And the sleet [17:51] compacted and in some parts, it's enough [17:54] to support my weight so you don't sink [17:56] into the snow. It's like sheets of ice [17:58] out there. Now, thankfully, my roommates [18:00] and I were able to clear everything out [18:03] with help from the snow [ __ ] 9000, [18:06] which is what I named my new to me [18:09] snowblower. Growing up, my parents never [18:12] allowed me to have a My dad was against [18:15] snowblowers, [18:18] but he wasn't against letting the [18:20] neighbors [18:21] bring their snowblower over and giving [18:24] us a hand. He was fine with that. So, I [18:27] went on a Facebook marketplace and [18:29] brought bought a Craftsman snowblower. [18:32] This ancient thing put furry stickers on [18:34] it. Anybody who comes over with a [18:36] Sharpie can I felt something sticky. Um, [18:40] can come over and spray stuff or spray [18:44] stuff. What am I talking about? Can [18:47] write stuff on the snowblower. and the [18:50] snowblower made it through the the first [18:53] bit of the [18:55] uh the big snow day and then the [18:57] self-propelled [18:58] uh feature stopped working. Thankfully, [19:00] my roommate Holly figured out that it [19:02] was the idler pulley that had gotten [19:04] loose and was throwing the drive belt [19:06] off. Quick tighten that up. Putting the [19:08] belt back on. Great. The snowblower [19:10] drives itself again. Right now, it's [19:12] only running with half choke. It won't [19:14] run on itself. It'll need the choke. So [19:16] that means uh that uh one of the jets is [19:20] probably clogged in the carburetor. So [19:23] good thing about these they're not [19:24] Yanmar engines. They're um to come see [19:28] something or other. And the jet you can [19:31] take out without taking the carburetor [19:33] off or even the float bowl out. It's [19:36] just a screw underneath supposedly. Just [19:39] unscrew and it comes right out. Of [19:40] course you're going to have to drain the [19:41] carburetor, drain this little fuel tank [19:43] right there. [19:45] and take that out. Carb cleaner will [19:49] stick and hopefully it'll run fine after [19:51] that. And then after that, uh, I guess [19:55] everything else I'd have to do when the [19:56] summer's over is just lube everything [19:58] about this. I have a pimple right here, [20:02] which is weird for someone over 40. [20:03] Normally, you don't get these things. [20:05] Um, I'll tell you right now, when you [20:08] reach middle age, if you do get a zit, [20:10] it will be a seasoned veteran. [20:14] It's not going to go quietly into the [20:16] night. [20:20] So, let's take care of this. [20:27] See if I can figure it out. Oh. All [20:30] right. [20:32] I'm also thankful for uh one of my [20:35] friends Disparity [20:37] for [20:39] shaving my head the other day. There it [20:41] goes. [20:45] surrendered quite easily. [20:51] This is prime YouTube right here. [20:56] I've shown it on the stream before, but [20:59] this is the jungle bathroom [21:01] with the original wallpaper to the [21:03] house. Very, very loud wallpaper. [21:11] I should really check the uh status of [21:13] the stream after doing that just to make [21:17] sure the chat is fine. [21:21] Should also be having like a laptop or [21:24] something like that. [21:28] I'm noticing though that the quality of [21:32] the stream is not as good as when [21:36] streaming to your phone [21:38] as it is when you have the wire going [21:41] directly from [21:44] the when you're bypassing your phone [21:45] completely and just running a wire [21:48] directly from the the camera into the [21:51] computer. Gee, I wonder why. [21:54] Um, oh, we had a super chat right here. [21:56] Uh, Alex says, "Would you work for [21:59] someone like Makeshift to create your [22:01] finance bird flush?" I talked to someone [22:04] at Megaplex. It's not Makeshift if [22:07] somebody else who wants to do a finance [22:10] bird plush. So, yes, I do want to do [22:11] them. I haven't heard back from them in [22:13] a while. So, yes, I do want to do one. [22:16] And that's a great question. And thanks. [22:17] Thank you for your super chat. [22:23] I'm just checking the chat. going bit [22:26] creakily downstairs. [22:28] Crackled when you move the camera. [22:31] Um, no. When you're moving around the [22:32] house. Would you review an ebike? Uh, [22:36] yeah. I'll do an ebike. [22:38] Uh, it just crackled right now, too. So, [22:40] maybe not Wi-Fi or dropping packets. [22:43] Don't hear a crackle right now. You're [22:45] near the kitchen now. Mat says, "Is a [22:48] signal crackle for sure, but I was in [22:50] the Bunnings parking lot garageed me." [22:52] Interesting. LOL. East Coast kitchen. [22:55] Hell yes it is. Signal drop for a [22:58] second. Cut out for a second. [23:00] Interesting. [23:02] Kitchen is brown. Lots of crackles. [23:05] Crunch back. Crackle and lag when [23:07] there's a lot of movement like with the [23:09] cleaver. Maybe lowering the resolution [23:11] settings. Given you have at least three [23:13] wireless links going on at the same time [23:15] is bound to be interference. Well, [23:16] that's true. [23:19] Huh. Okay. crackle is happening right [23:22] now when you're in a kitchen talking [23:23] about a snowblower. Okay, [23:26] interesting. [23:31] Um, also the crackle. Hey, I want full [23:33] Wi-Fi here. No problem. You're a bit [23:35] choppy on the audio. [23:37] Okay. [23:38] All right. [23:40] So, we're learning that [23:45] that while the wife while the mobile [23:48] nature of [23:52] the action 5 [23:55] does work, it's not a substitution for [23:58] just running things directly from the [24:00] wire and bypassing all this Wi-Fi [24:03] signals going around right now. [24:06] Yeah, it's still crackly still. Hello, [24:08] RCR. Okay. [24:11] Um, but the audio is getting cracked [24:13] more often. Sad life, man. Okay. Might [24:16] reconnect the mic. Well, the mic is like [24:19] this. I'm talking like barley now. [24:22] Everybody likes the streamers just take [24:24] the mic and just eat it like this. Isn't [24:26] this awesome? [24:32] Uh, if you had to choose between a fifth [24:34] gen 4Runner Limited and a GX 460, what [24:37] would you choose? [24:39] Well, we talk Oh, fifth gen. No, the the [24:43] only fourth gen that I think the only [24:45] Yeah, it's the fourth gen, but the [24:47] fourth gen also has [24:51] um the 2Z. No, I would take the Lexus [24:54] every single time. Yeah, [24:58] it's definitely a mic connection issue. [25:00] You know what? That makes sense. That [25:03] makes sense because this mic is [25:06] wirelessly going to this camera, but the [25:10] camera is sending a Wi-Fi signal to [25:12] here. [25:14] So, we've got this guy in the middle [25:17] [ __ ] up the program. [25:20] So, maybe that's what's going on. [25:26] So, [25:28] yeah. All right, chat. I am going to end [25:32] this stream and restart it with the [25:36] Action 5 just as a normal camera. We're [25:40] going to see how that goes. I'll be back [25:42] in about [25:44] It's 10:47. I'll be back in like 10 [25:46] minutes. Okay. So, I'll be back. Don't [25:48] worry. Thank you for people who just [25:50] joined us.
