[01:24] Love you all. Yo here I am back on that normal voice. Today we are going to talk about Oliver Huntermann. Oliver Huntermann born June 19th 1968 in Hanover is a German electronic music producer and internationally touring DJ. Oliver
[01:39] Huntermann's concrete roots can be traced back to early techno. Like so many of his colleagues, his route to techno took a tour through electro and rave. He could tell the usual veteran tales when it comes to influences, his first record
[01:51] purchases or on the subject of the good old days. Since 2014, Hunterman has been running the Ideal of Fame for label, a new chapter after more than five years Ideal Audio plus a host of sub and sister labels. His most famous
[02:04] tracks on Spotify and it took me a really long time to find them because every remix ever made in the history of remixes on his Spotify profile are known as PNOPOL and ROTLIST.
[02:19] So, what are the key elements to create an Oliver Hunterman track? Keep it minimal.
[02:31] Dark kick and bass groove. So, let's get into our DAW. Starting off with a punchy deep kick. I also EQ out some of the higher frequencies because I wanted to put a top kick sound on top of it to get the tricky transient kick
[03:10] Then I made the super easy but deep sub bass and side chained it to the kick.

[05:17] As you can see really deep dark flow and super nice, then I made these simple off beat hats.
[05:29] I duplicated the main hat two times and panned one of each to the opposite side, then I put some gentle reverb and delay on it to make it really wide.

[06:56] Reverse the 1 every 4th hit so you get that little extra groove.

[07:56] After that I created that little 16th sense sound.
[08:26] As you can see I automated the pitch bend and cut off to keep the sound interesting. It is techno, and techno evolves over time.
[08:49] Then I made some breakdown pads. Oliver Hunteman made these kind of breaks more in his older tracks. and I choose to put this little dark vocal on top, which you can hear in a lot of old dark techno tracks.
