> Source: [How to Use Obsidian Notes with Claude](https://youtube.com/watch?v=ItK549rwUG8)

## Summary

This video demonstrates how to integrate Obsidian notes with Claude, an AI assistant. It covers the initial setup, querying and creating notes, and extending functionality with Zapier to connect to thousands of apps.

### Key Points

- **Setup** [00:00] — Create a vault in Obsidian and add notes. In Claude, switch to co-work and point it at the Obsidian vault on your PC.
- **Query and Create** [00:12] — Ask questions about all information in the vault. Claude searches through notes and provides answers in seconds. Claude can also create new notes that automatically appear in Obsidian.
- **Zapier Integration** [00:26] — Connect Zapier to Claude to access over 9,000 apps. Example: Claude searches Gmail for customer feedback, summarizes it, and adds it as a new note in Obsidian from a single prompt.

## Transcript

Here's how to use your Obsidian notes with Claude. First, create a vault in Obsidian and add some notes. Next, in Claude, switch to co-work and point it at your Obsidian vault on your PC.
Now you can ask questions about all of the information in your vault. Claude searches through your notes and gives you an answer in just seconds. You can also have Claude create a brand new note for you, and it'll automatically appear in Obsidian.
To make it even more powerful, connect Zapier to Claude. That gives Claude access to over 9,000 apps. Now I can have Claude search my Gmail for customer feedback, summarize it, and add it as a new note in Obsidian,
all from a single prompt. If you wanna learn how to set everything up, check out my full Obsidian tutorial on my YouTube channel.
