## Transcript

Hello internet, Taliesin here.
>> And Evitel too.
>> And welcome to a WoW podcast, obviously
episode number
>> 75.
>> It is 75 and OH MY GOODNESS, WE HAVE so
much to talk about. Would you like to
talk about it with us?
>> What a day. Yes, please.
>> Well, good. Well, I hope you got a lot
of sleep last night, Evie, because
frankly it's going to be a very, very
busy weekend for us. Welcome to everyone
who's joining us in the morning to talk
about 12.1
Fangs of Ulatek
>> [laughter]
>> is what it was not called in the end,
even though that's what I took a blind
guess at. It was It's called Curse of
Ulatek.
>> Ulatek. So, so warcrafty. You should
have known.
>> Well, I mean, I think one of the things
I'm really liking about Well, let's just
talk about all this this patch is like
there are some very old school vibes
coming out.
>> Very old.
>> With with 12.1.
>> I approve.
>> There are snakes, there are temples,
there's poison up the wazoo, there's
like very low polygon looking [ __ ] which
I love.
>> Low poly green ooze.
>> Oh, but there's some controversy as
well, Evitel. There's some stuff people
There's There's some stuff people don't
like
>> Oh, no.
>> as well and we're going to talk about
all of it.
>> I read something I don't
>> like today.
>> Oh, really?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, well well and and you know and
there's news coming out all the time
beyond the announcement that happened uh
which we were on uh live on stream for
on Twitch um and uh and all sorts as
well. So, welcome if you're watching um
on the live stream as we record this on
YouTube uh or Twitch. We see you. We see
you all in chat. Hello. Welcome.
Welcome.
>> Peace.
>> Um and uh well done for getting up this
early in the morning. You know what? We
had a sneaky suspicion. No inside
knowledge obviously like genuinely.
>> Never.
>> Um uh in fact, I don't think anyone had
any inside knowledge by the lack of like
interviews and stuff that have have
dropped
>> Yeah.
>> um in the wake of the announcement.
Usually usually you'd expect some um or
like on embargo and stuff, but nothing.
So, I I I genuinely think no one in the
community really knew, but the
community's quite good at guessing these
things at this point, right?
>> We've we've been on this rodeo
merry-go-round.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have. We've
>> [laughter]
>> we've ridden this little
uh this yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> This tiny
>> What pardon?
>> tiny uh
cadence schedule before. So, um and and
we thought, "You know what? Why don't we
just push the podcast to record on
Friday morning instead of Thursday
afternoon just in case." And I'm pretty
glad we did.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh so, we're going to be talking about
everything in 12.1 today except
the tier sets.
>> Oh.
>> sets that um uh Wowhead this morning
like, "We have data mined the tier
sets." And I'm like, "Really?" I logged
on the PTR and looked at them.
>> Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> Yeah.
>> It's just It's just there. I I I didn't
have to do any data mining. I literally
just turned on the PTR. I looked in the
appearances tab and there they all were.
No data mining necessary. So, well done
Wow data miners, but you worked a bit
too hard than you had to there to be
honest. Uh so, um and we're going to be
recording our tier set video
straight after this. Literally, we're
going to we're going to press stop on
this uh podcast. Maybe we're have a wee.
Um and then and then we'll be recording
our reactions to the tier sets, which
Evie hasn't seen any of. So, I've
already I've already scrolled through,
right? But safe to say, I think you're
going to be pretty happy with the hunter
set Evie.
>> Are you Are you trolling me right now?
>> What Everything is trolling now from now
on, right? It's [laughter] like
And and like oh my goodness. So, things
I'm most happy about about 12.1, the
fact that anything we don't like we can
be like a blitz trolling us right now.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Uh and also uh obviously the Ring of
Glory.
>> [laughter]
>> Like when when I saw the name of that
doll
>> Too early for that.
>> When I saw it never too early. When I
saw the you know, you got to pack your
great roll with the with with runs from
the
Ring of Glory, right? Oh god. You know,
there's stiff competition, but you got
to dive into the Ring of Glory
headfirst.
>> Yes, you do.
>> You just got to really peel back the
layers, really have a rummage around
there,
you know?
>> Yeah.
>> You don't want to add to this?
>> No, I have nothing to add to that.
>> Well, okay. All right. Fine. Fine. Okay.
[laughter]
I'm just going to move your microphone
so like you know.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah. You know how like we have to
tell our son to kind of like not use his
hands to pick up his food every single
dinner time like 12 times.
I feel like that with your microphone
sometimes.
Doesn't matter how many times I say
>> I angled it this way so that it can go
when I talk down to it it makes it
>> Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Totally.
>> Cuz otherwise it's just going like this.
>> just just put it over here like this.
It's just like I just aim for it. It's
fine. It's cool. I Yeah. Yeah. 10 years
we've been doing this. It's fine.
>> [laughter]
>> Uh if you don't want us to talk about
it,
um then please
uh give us some money and we won't. Like
send us a super chat and we'll talk
about anything you like.
>> Yeah, so folks on YouTube, um
uh towards the end of today's show we
will be going through the super chats.
So, drop some of those for us. Uh let us
know what
uh you're thinking, what you're wanting,
your reactions, or what you'd like us to
discuss. Drop those in there and we'll
get to them.
>> I know what you're thinking. You just
want us to talk about the the Ring of
Glory. That's all you want to talk
about. That's all you want to hear
about. That's all you care about. The
first thing you wake up in the morning
is you think, "I Where's my Ring of
Glory?" And before you go to bed, you're
like, "Did I do enough Ring of Glory
today?"
Um and like, yeah, like that's that's
what it is. But try and think of
something else. Try and try and kind of
like mix it up a bit. That'd be really
good. Thank you.
>> Yeah. [laughter] Um right. Put something
else in there but you can.
>> Before we get get something else in the
Ring of Glory.
>> Yes.
>> Leave the Ring of Glory alone. It's
tired.
We've worn out the Ring of Glory now.
We have to let it rest for a little bit
before we come back to it later in the
show. The Ring of Glory is
>> Please let us continue.
>> [laughter]
>> Right.
>> On that note.
>> Okay, so look, we're not going to dwell
on this. God, I swear, I promise we're
not going to dwell on this. But it would
be remiss since this is the first show
since the launch of 12.0.7
Revelations.
>> Oh, right.
>> It would be remiss not to at least
mention the launch and how you've been
finding it and how you've been enjoying
it Evie.
>> Yeah, yeah. You know, in the one day,
two days that it was live before the
more exciting news dropped.
>> [laughter]
>> Thank god, honestly. They were like,
can you imagine? Can you imagine if we
had to have more than one day of 12.0.7?
Like Do you know what? What was perfect
was the news of 12.1 dropped literally
the second I finished all the content in
12.0.7. [laughter]
I was like, "Well, I've done it. I've
done 12.0.7
now. Now what?" And then and then we got
12.1 and it was perfect.
>> Yeah, yeah. You know what? Um I'm glad
it's there. I did some of the new
I did new really because, you know, I
did some of the new
tier six ritual sites. I got some myth
crests. I got some field accolades.
I went
But, know, I I bought a hero ring and
it's rubbish. Literally gave me the
worst stats. So, I'm going to switch up
my
strategy to again just hop into really
high keys and roll for loot. And
>> [laughter]
>> And then I
I went to Ny'alotha and that was sorely
disappointing after like the mob
>> Why Why was it so disappointing?
>> After the mob fest that was the PTR, it
was busy. It was Oh, it was threatening.
Um it was really
Yeah, I liked it. It felt like a bit of
a challenge.
But, now it's it's empty because
everyone decimates the mobs even on
heroic tier. Again, I guess that, you
know, we talked about this a bit
yesterday on the stream, but it it feels
like it is for alts. And
>> Well,
>> Well, that's okay.
>> It feels like it's for alts, but at the
same time, cuz I went in there with my
main and I did all the story quests and
stuff. And like, you know what? There's
actually some quite good world building
and stuff in there. There's like some
There's like a little intriguing thing
of what is this planet and why were the
Legion using it and stuff like that.
Like the On the Anvil um quests as well,
which were really great actually if
you're reading the quest text and stuff.
>> what? They are good. I did them on the
PTR, so I kind of blasted through them.
>> I did all that [ __ ] with my main. I was
like, well, there's nothing for me here,
you know,
like heroic heroic mode or not. And so,
I I thought, well, I bet I bet it's much
better for an alt. So, I went in with a
leveling alt.
Cuz if I want if I want field acolytes,
I'm going to do
ritual sites, right? So,
like you can bot those. That's the best
way to get, especially now with tier six
as well. Um so, I went in with like an
alt that I've been leveling, like an 84
alt.
And I ran around and okay, it's not as
fast for leveling as doing a dungeon or
whatever, but it is a a nice change of
pace, you know? A nice
And you're getting field acolytes at the
same time.
The gear you're getting is better than
you're getting in leveling
So, it felt worthwhile and I was like,
"Oh, actually, yeah, this is what
Nathria is for. It's for, like, you
know, leveling alts." But then, after 20
minutes, I'd run out of quests. I'd run
out of world quests and I was done. And
I literally there was the the map was
literally empty. There was nothing to
do. Which, okay, fair enough, you don't
want to overwhelm people, but that that
was my leveling journey over on that alt
in Nathria, right? Which is a shame cuz
like I was having so much fun blasting
stationary mushrooms that didn't fight
back.
I did that quest like four times. It's
like, "Yo, can you just kill some
stationary mushrooms that don't fight
back?" And I'm like, "There's some
pretty big monsters in this zone.
There's like Ethereals, the Harronna na
na, whatever they're called, the baddest
Ethereals in the entire world. And thank
goodness didn't join in the fight on
K'aresh, otherwise we'd have been in
trouble cuz they're so badass."
[laughter] Uh they were doing something
else that day. Wasn't that it?
Yeah, exactly. And and they were like,
"Can you just Nah, don't worry about
them. Don't worry about the world boss.
Just blast these stationary mushrooms
that don't fight back." And I'm doing
anything. I was like, "Yeah, cool." I
did that four times and um yeah, it's
fine. And I did a bit of spider-manning
on the mushrooms, which is actually like
quite fun. Uh but I know everyone's
going to hate.
>> Yeah, the mushrooms are rubbish.
>> Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> Mushrooms are just
>> Yeah, but don't worry, Evertale.
>> I won't.
>> Um oh, uh hang on. I did do some raiding
as well. Last night. Well, you know how
everyone's saying that uh the new raid
is incredibly easy?
>> Yes.
>> Well, we went in there with heroic and
absolutely smashed it like in two two
pulls. And then we went in in mythic and
every we did not kill it.
>> Oh.
>> We got to like 30%.
>> That's not bad.
>> I know, man. Like
>> Our raid Our raid are great, but they're
not very good at just leaving stuff on
literally a mark.
>> Oh.
>> Apparently.
>> Yeah.
>> Like so um but do you know what my
biggest disappointment about the entire
raid was? Cuz it's a one-boss raid, man.
What do you want? It's like 0.7. You
don't want it to be like a a five-minute
[ __ ] epic, right? Okay? So, like we
went in there and I was really excited.
We're like, "Okay guys, welcome to flex
rating. We can We're going to flex
mythic. Here we go." But you know what?
We had 20 [ __ ] people in our group.
>> Yeah.
>> It was a 20 It was a 20 group a 29
group. So it was like, "This is just
like
>> have just booted someone.
>> were going to. So we like for 2 hours
there were only 20 there were 20 of us
and we're like, "Well, this I mean, this
is great. This is fantastic, but it
would be nice to have seen the flex
stuff a little bit." And luckily,
someone joined like after 2 hours and
then we had 21. So I can now say
I can now say that I've tested the flex
mythic rating.
>> Great. Cuz I was like, "I can't say that
I've tested the flex mythic rating at
this point. There's 20 of us exactly
right here."
>> [laughter]
>> Perfection. Good. I'm glad.
>> But it's good. I I I like it. It's It's
fine. It's good. I I know it's like lots
of people are saying it's very easy and
people are like
spamming it so that they can
get all the really good gear cuz you can
reroll as many times as you want on that
[ __ ]
>> Yeah.
>> If you've got 10 rerolls, which I really
wish I'd known,
then you can you can use them all.
>> Yeah. And then get your spore forged
gear.
>> And then turn that into tier gear. Oh,
excellent tier news as well in 12.1. My
god, such Oh my goodness, some such good
catalyst news.
So yeah, there we go. And don't worry,
if you think 12.0.7 is boring so far,
then don't forget that in just two more
weeks, well, you got Val, which is the
not so good news zone.
>> Oh, yeah. The icy one.
>> Yeah, the icy one.
And then you got that launching next
week and then the week after that,
you've got the big story quest the big
story quest chapter with Zul'jan. And I
don't want to spoil anything about what
happens in that story [laughter] quest
itself.
But you know, you go on a little
adventure with Zul'jan and he's Well, I
I I don't want to spoil it, but he's
looking for something. I don't want to
spoil what he's looking for and there
are some really interesting pointers as
to where the story might be going, but
I'm not going to spoil that, don't
worry.
>> we worked so hard to be like, "We're
not, you know, big spoilers for the
story." And then this announcement came
out and it's like,
"Woah, this is what happened."
>> Yeah, it's like
Yeah, so um
>> [laughter]
>> Zul'jan he's run off. He's trying to get
Ulatek who's a big snake person who who
is revealed in the in the questing in a
couple of weeks. And um like oh oh was
revealed obviously months ago if you
watch this channel. Um and uh we're
going we're going [ __ ] it, that's the
end of 12.0.7 you'll be thankful to
hear.
>> There you go.
>> We are now going to talk non-stop
12.1
Curse of the Fangs of Ulatek.
>> [laughter]
>> Uh now I reacted to this live on stream
yesterday when the news hit like at
literally the exact time we thought it
was going to. Yeah. So
So we've just been doing this for a long
time, haven't we?
>> [laughter]
>> You know, we've just been just been
doing this game for a long ass
>> time. Yeah. Now before we get into like
the articles and the blue posts and
things like that, just from like the a
uh initial
like um
uh
announcement,
what do you think of the patch?
>> I it it feels good to me. It made me
excited. It made me smile. It made me
go, "Oh, yeah. Heck, yeah." It did. Um I
>> screen up.
>> Uh
I was delighted to see it, really.
Every it it felt very welcome. It felt
very soon after 12.0.7, but I'm I'm glad
it's here. There's some really good
stuff in there. There's some things that
I'm confused by,
namely the uh the new the changes to the
world bosses being
basically single boss raids, instanced
>> raids, like the instance world bosses.
An instanced world boss, therefore not
really a world boss.
>> Getting a bit specific there. What like
what about your overall kind of
>> Oh, the vibe is great. The vibe like the
vibe is actually doing it for me. I
didn't think I wanted to go underground
into an enclosed space, but going into
like a a green venomous uh
like kind of temple zone looks super
cool.
>> Dude, it is so green.
>> It's so
green.
>> Can I like honestly like when I went to
make the thumbnail for this podcast like
last night so I could kind of put it on
there and schedule it and stuff like
that. And it was so funny cuz I made it
and I used this image like that I took
from the trailer and stuff which is a
lot like their image that they've used
and I put the uh there's nothing on the
the Blizzard press release site apart
from the logo so far. So I put the logo
on there and I put like, you know, some
text on there and I I went to add it to
our um
uh
podcast playlist and it was so funny cuz
like our our playlist is really funny.
When you when you schedule and you add a
new video onto our playlist on that one
for some reason it goes right to the
bottom of the playlist.
>> Oh.
>> Okay. So I move I have to like manually
move it up to the top, but that meant I
was scrolling and dragging it past all
of our other thumbnails
uh like forever, but particularly as we
were getting into like the last year
it's just purple and blue and like, you
know, and and just dragging this very
very green and purple, but like
different type of purple.
>> Of course.
>> Like it's not like a cosmic purple. It's
like a voidy purple. It's like a a
refresher's bar purple. In fact, this
green and blue like color scheme they've
got going on with Ulatek there is very
refresher's bar. We go, you know, after
school on a Friday in the '80s and '90s
we get taken to Elan Penn's shop across
the road from my old school and we'd be
given 10 p each to spend on sweets cuz
sweets only cost 1 p each then except
refresher's bar. Refresher's bar was 5
p.
And you know, they were that like
British school children of a certain
age. You can't look at Ulatek without
thinking, "Oh, it's a refresher's bar."
>> Well, very nice.
>> I I that reference is beyond me, but you
know what? I'm
Very nice.
>> Nice.
>> Um so, uh yeah, I like just so green,
and it's going to be so green for so
long.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh it will make me too.
>> I'm I'm ready for some green.
>> Yeah, absolutely. It's not like a fell
green. It is this kind of a sickly point
and screen.
>> Nasty aesthetic, yeah.
>> You know what? I think this is like a
guaranteed hit, because if there's one
thing gamers love, it's underwater
swimming levels. But [laughter] if
there's another thing that gamers love,
it's poison.
>> Yeah.
>> They [ __ ] love it. If you want gamers
to love your game, just put big, big
pools of poison everywhere. A sea of
poison. Everyone's favorite Elden Ring
zone, the Scarlet Rot zone. Put that in
there. Just get some poison in there.
Get some It's a gamer's delight. We're
going to have people sobbing from other
games just cuz they heard there was
loads of poison in this game. They're
saying, "There's all this snakes and
poison?
Is it a really annoying ticking poison
that just gets me everywhere I go?" And
then you say, "Yes, gamers. Come on in.
Come and join the fun." No, yeah, you
don't need Guild Wars 3 anymore. Come on
in.
>> You know, there's something like kind of
pleasingly old school about this
announcement. It just made me feel It
made me feel good.
Uh some things made me feel really good.
Some things made me go,
>> Can Can we be real? Cuz like I we are
going to touch on the old school feels
of this um quite a lot. And I think part
of that is because it's, you know,
trolls, man. And I love me a troll raid,
and I'm very biased, okay? Cuz I love a
troll raid. I think like troll patches
are the best patches, even though I
don't play a troll, cuz I find their
animations a bit annoying to play, but I
love I love them. They're awesome. And
like some of my favorite WoW stuff is
troll stuff. It just feels old school,
doesn't it?
>> Yeah.
>> It feels Indiana Jonesy. It It like
classic fantasy. Yeah. It feels like
>> And I
>> Blizz clearly really leaning into this
cuz can I be real for just a moment?
That model of Ulatek there, like the
main baddie of the patch, the final boss
of the raid
It's goofy and janky as [ __ ] isn't it?
It's got like three polygons in
>> I KNOW.
>> THAT'S A proper [ __ ] TBC wrath troll
[ __ ] boss right there. It's like It's
like I feel like they made a much cooler
model and then someone was like, "I
thought we were going old school. Take
away like 2/3 of those polygons, dudes.
Let's go. Let's do this properly,
right?"
>> Yeah.
>> It's some It's some janky goofy looking
[ __ ] And all the snake people are goofy
and janky looking as well.
>> really are. Oh, especially the Delph
boss, the new Delph boss.
>> Oh, well. Okay. So, the new the well,
okay. So, the new Delph Nemesis, you
mean?
>> Yeah, we got to talk about this.
>> anything about the new Delph Nemesis?
>> Uh
>> Have you noticed anything about the the
the new Delph Nemesis' um
design?
>> Yeah, his his model is like a funny
chunky snake guy.
>> what's he wearing? What's he wearing?
What's he wearing? What's he wearing?
What's he wearing?
>> What's he wearing?
>> I haven't I haven't checked it. Well,
what is he wearing?
>> Uh well, let me let me just bring him up
if I can find him here.
>> Okay.
>> Uh cuz I I don't cuz I I have been on
the PTR that has since launched as well.
>> Yeah.
>> And you know, I have had a look through
the the raid boss list isn't up yet. But
>> No.
>> the uh dungeon boss list is up.
>> Okay.
>> And uh you know, the final boss of the
new dungeon is exactly who I predicted
it was going to be on stream.
>> Uh okay.
>> Um and
uh I was pooh-poohed by many people in
my stream. So, I was really keen to to
get on it and I I went on it It's the
first thing I looked at actually before
even tier sets or anything like that.
And um can I give a spoiler right now
for PTR?
>> Uh yeah, yeah, if you can. We'll warn
the viewers
>> right?
>> viewers if you don't want to hear a
spoiler.
>> Uh the final boss of the dungeon is
Zul'jan.
>> Ah.
>> Um, and if you look at I can't find it
on the video right now, but if you look
on the if you look at the delve Nemesis
he he is goofy looking
>> Yeah.
>> and he is snake looking
>> Yeah.
>> but he does also seem to be wearing
quite a bit of purple if I remember. Now
maybe I've misremembered this cuz I just
thought of it, but like
>> you just look up uh
Nemesis delve Nemesis?
>> Yeah, yeah, sure. Uh,
cuz I've got all these tabs open. Hang
on. Um, why don't you look up delve
Nemesis?
>> Well, cuz I've got my screen up right
now.
Um, but yeah, I
uh
I I liked the look of him. He had a
little
>> Very goofy looking.
>> a little like a goofy smiley face.
A chunky snake. Now one thing we're not
getting is playable snake people.
>> Yeah.
>> No, there's no no image for it anyway.
>> Okay, you pull up your you pull up your
screen. You you
you pull up your screen and I'll go find
it.
>> One sec.
>> We'll get him up there.
>> Yeah, one one minute. Hang on.
All right.
>> There we are.
>> Okay, let me pull up my screen.
There we are.
>> Okay.
>> Uh
Yeah, I'm I'm having real trouble
finding it. I don't really want to sit
here scrolling through a video.
>> all right. Well, you keep talking then.
>> Yeah, okay. Well,
yeah, that's I mean that's it. That's
the whole point really. He just looks
like he might be Zul'jan to me.
>> Zul'jan, ah.
>> Yeah, he's dressed in Didn't you get
that when I was saying like how he's
dressed in purple? He was something.
Look at him. He's dressed in purple and
he is like he's he
is very goofy looking. Almost like he
used to be at There you go. Look. Look
how look
You don't
Maybe not then. Actually looking at
[laughter] it now I don't I don't I
don't think so much actually. But to me
Well, he's got he's got Yeah, okay,
fine. He's got purple hair.
>> Purple purple hair.
>> Zul'jan's got purple hair, isn't he? No,
he's got green hair or purple hair. I
can't even remember now.
>> [laughter]
>> Oh, well, do you know what? I It must
have been like a [ __ ] like fever
dream that I had.
>> It's It's possible. It's pos- I like
your thinking, though. I enjoy your
thought process.
>> You don't think You don't think what I
think is obviously like the the story of
the dungeon is set before the raid,
right?
Uh, you know, cuz if we're dealing with
Zul'jin. And here's the question, is
Zul'jin going to turn into a big snake
person and become the nemesis? Or is he
going to be killed by us? Or well, he
will be if he's a nemesis, but you know
what I mean. Or is it going to be one of
those like um
beat them
uh beat some sense into them kind of
thing.
>> Yes. Uh
I think it's definitely going to be one
of those.
>> Yeah, WELL, IT'S DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM.
I'm asking you which one.
>> I didn't finish my sentence. [laughter]
I think it's definitely going to be one
of those. And now here's the rest of the
sentence.
>> [laughter]
>> Beat them senseless.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Beat
some
>> sentence.
>> Oh, I I tell you what, yeah, people
pointed out in the chat cuz
yeah people
people are turning doing some amazing
work. Proper data mining, not just
looking at the data.
They're already there. There's some some
great data mining from Oh, yes, yes,
yes yes.
All working out.
>> Yeah, so it's kind They're kind of Naga
Naga
>> Oh, here he is. Yeah, no, here he is.
Okay. Do Do you want me to Do you want
me to show you the one I was thinking
of?
>> Oh.
>> Yeah, I I I hope you'll stop laughing at
me now.
That That's Zul'jin, right?
>> It is.
>> That's Zul'jin as a snake, right?
>> It is. Now
>> Yeah.
>> that's just going to be temporary.
>> [laughter]
>> Like that's not, you know, he's going to
He's going to
take up the power right, he's going to
take up the power of Ula'tek. He's going
to wield it, and we're going to be like,
"No, bad bad." And we'll beat it out of
>> So, even now you've seen him as a snake?
>> Yeah.
>> Even now you've seen this, you still
don't You still don't think we're going
to kill him?
>> Why can't I be a snake?
>> I I do you know what? I dare say you
will have that chance at some point.
>> love to be a snake cuz it's basically
the closest thing we're going to get to
Naga.
>> Okay.
>> [laughter]
>> Actual best case scenario here.
He's like it is one of those beat him in
like beat some sense into him fights.
>> Yeah.
>> And like he becomes a goody again and
he's back on our side and he proves
himself, right? And he redeems himself
through his actions.
>> Yes.
>> But he's still a snake.
>> Oh.
>> Like we don't cure him of the snake
[ __ ]
>> Yeah.
>> Like he's still a snake.
>> Like someone's got to turn into a snake
now right?
>> He's just a snake.
>> Someone's got to turn into the illithid,
right?
>> And we have like these voice lines with
him and stuff and we're like, "Hey, how
do you feel about being a snake?" And
he's like, "Well, it kind of sucks, but
it's kind of my own fault and actually I
deserve it and actually it serves as a
reminder to to myself of what a dick
I've been and how I must strive to do
better.
>> Maybe. Maybe.
>> And and also I can't you know, I don't
have feet now and that kind of stuff.
>> Just one foot.
>> Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> So but yeah, and Keyboard turns got some
great stuff which we'll we'll go through
in a bit probably actually.
So
>> But yeah, shall we go through what what
is actually coming?
>> announcement before we get into some
like the weeds of it? Yeah, so obviously
we've got the brand new zone which is
the Coiled Isle.
>> Uh
>> Ah.
Well, one niggle, I do not like the name
Coiled Isle. I think it's
Coiled Isle is like the word
>> Isle of Fangs was right there.
>> Isle of Fangs exactly. Coiled Isle is so
>> be the Isle of Fangs to me, Evie.
>> Is a is a fumble.
>> These [ __ ] these [ __ ] zoomers,
they can come along calling it the
Coiled Isle as much as they like, but
the real ones know what it's actually
called. It'll always be the the Isle of
Fangs.
>> Yes.
>> The Isle of Fangs.
>> Yes, but it does look the the actual
zone, the area looks super cool. I love
like the mist over everything. I like
how menacing and poisonous it is. Um
kind of like stomach-turningly green.
That is a really nice change from
purple.
>> Now, we have explored uh the outside of
this island quite a lot um just just in
game, not even on the on alpha or PTR or
anything like that because, you know,
you can do that with far sight. Thank
you, shamans uh shaman. And uh and it's
it's a substantial area outside once you
get round the back. There's like loads
of it
>> Mhm.
>> in the back. Uh but one of the
interesting things about the zone as
they describe it is that actually quite
a lot of it I wonder how much. Um I
mean, optimistically say like a quarter
or a third or something is inside the
big mountain. So, there's kind of like a
almost like a uh a Zarelek thing going
on in a way in that like there is
outside zone, but there's inside zone as
well with like twisty corridors and and
but that's actually part of the zone and
and and the events and stuff.
>> Yes. And I never thought I would say
this, but like it feels good to be going
back inside. Like I just kind of want to
go inside again. I've had all these
beautiful exteriors. I've had all these
like wonderful outside experiences.
And outside in like the void, outside
and you know, Quel'Thalas like and I'm
like I'm ready to go back inside.
>> Um I would like
for for some cool something Indiana
Jones [ __ ]
>> delve right into the into the
>> Oh, you you'll be delving.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> that ring of glory.
>> All right, yeah.
>> Like actually ironically the ring of
glory is actually the outside zone. But
that's you know,
boo, just just kind of hovering around
the outside of the ring of glory when
really all you want to be doing is
digging deep, you know?
>> [laughter]
>> It's right there. You almost taste it.
>> Yep.
Um
>> [laughter]
>> Yes.
>> Um so, yeah, I find that that's kind of
interesting. Um and the way they
describe like the inside uh of uh the
the the mountain is they call it like
the vault of Ulatek, don't they or
something? Uh
>> Yes.
>> It's the the Vault. The Vault of
something. Vaults of Atal'Utech.
>> Yeah.
>> Um
And the way they describe it in the uh
the film,
it sounds a bit like you might be going
through a portal to get there. It feels
like it might be kind of like its own
thing. And I might be wrong, and I'll be
happy to be I'll be very happy to be
wrong, honestly. But like it feels just
like there's something about the way
they were talking about it. Maybe [ __ ]
can give us their opinions on this as
well. There's just something about the
way they were talking about it that made
it seem like it was kind of like
semi-instanced,
and that you go there and you get like
get a loading screen, and it wouldn't be
like that beautiful seamless Zandalar
thing where you kind of fly through it,
or that beautiful War Within thing where
you're kind of like
>> Really? I didn't I didn't get that
impression.
I think it's going to be pretty
seamless.
>> That's brilliant. I I'm going to trust
your instinct on this.
Cuz that that always proves to be so
right. Like that bet we had about
housing that I just got an answer from
from Jesse Cox as well.
>> I didn't
>> But we'll get to that when we get to the
housing. We'll get to that when we get
to the housing. Um so, but I I think
that's just a really cool, neat concept
that a lot of this zone is outside, a
lot of this zone is like in the [ __ ]
mountain. And I think that's really
cool. I think that's awesome. Um and uh
you know, what have we got to look
forward to, you know, in terms of
content on this island, Evie?
>> Yeah. How did you feel when you when you
heard these words? Plunge into the
Vaults of Atal'Utech, primed for
challenging group content and rotating
public events. Taking part in these
public events will ultimately build up
to a boss fight.
>> I
Do you know what? I I would I
apologize to people who are only
listening to this right now, but I wish
to
uh show you how that made me feel
through the medium
>> Oh.
>> of interpretive dance.
>> Oh. Uh-oh.
Okay.
It's going to
>> You You You say the thing again, and
I'll react to it. Cuz first of all, the
dance starts
All right.
>> Yeah.
>> The dance starts, and I'm very excited
about the patch right. And then and then
you be like Ian and and tell me about
it.
>> Ian Ian's here.
Plunge into the vault of Etalutech
primed for challenging group content and
rotating public events. Taking part in
these public events will ultimately
build up to a boss fight.
>> [laughter]
>> I was like, wait, I've been doing that.
That's exactly what I've been I've been
I've been I've been doing that all day
long. And then they and then and then
they showed and then they showed the
tree. And they're like, oh, and you'll
have a tree. And I was like, no.
He's already on the floor.
>> [laughter]
>> He's already on the ground. I know.
I was like, wait.
>> I
>> You can't open with that.
>> I when they said that,
I melted. And look, here's the thing,
right? Yeah, you want fun [ __ ] to do in
the zone.
You want fun [ __ ] to do in the zone. And
of course it's going to be events and
stuff like that. And you know, do you
remember when we didn't have events and
stuff in the zone? It
sucked. It was really bad. But there's
just something about
I don't want to say cut and paste, okay?
Cuz it's not cut and paste. But
look at this look at this look at this
out of proportion emotional reaction
that literally everyone is having to
and that should tell you why it's a bad
like just it's just
I wish they could have sold it a bit
differently.
>> I know. There's no way to
>> just say it like it's the same thing.
>> Yeah, there's no way to do it. There's
no way to do it. There's no way to do
it. There's no way to do it though
because that's exactly what it is. It is
exactly what we have just been doing and
what we are doing in this patch. And you
know what? That's fine because there's
so much more going on, right?
>> Artemis says, skipping a skipping a
meeting for this. No, this is your
meeting, Artemis. You're here right now.
Glad you could make it. You don't have
to turn your camera, it's fine.
>> Just on voice for this one, guys.
[laughter]
Um yeah, so okay, fine.
While in the zone, players will have
access to a custom talent tree.
>> Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
before we go on talent tree, I have to
tell you you missed out the best thing
about this rotating event, okay? Cuz it
goes from place to place and you get
elites like like spawning in the big
poison pit.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, and like you know, so like you you
kill a bunch of mobs, you do little
challenges and stuff probably like some
of you will be like go and kick
footballs into a goal.
Go and pull flowers. You get to kill
some mobs, well done, congratulations.
And then the boss spawns and then you go
and kill the boss, but you didn't you
missed out I can't believe you missed
out the huge innovation.
>> Yeah, yeah.
>> The huge innovation in this otherwise
quite stock formula at this stage, once
you've killed one of those bosses,
for a little while you can fish in the
pool where they were.
>> Cursed fishing.
>> Cursed being the operative WORD. LIKE
WHY DO I CARE ABOUT THAT? THAT'S NOT A
MAIN patch feature that like okay guys,
so you kill the bosses, right? You kill
the bosses, okay? And but but but but
but
sit down
because once you kill the bosses you can
fish there for a little bit.
>> But it's cursed.
>> That's a main patch feature. It's
getting it's getting its own image.
>> And
>> on the blue post, it's getting its own
[ __ ] section in the blue post.
>> Look at that guy,
look at this absolutely savage
tortollan.
>> Yeah, he is sick actually.
>> Like he's like I mean he's the reason
that I will do cursed fishing.
>> [laughter]
>> Now you might think his hat is clipping
through his spiky head there, but he's
just so badass he's fixed it to his head
on the spiky clip.
>> Yeah.
>> Um so yeah, anyway, so that's yeah,
look, I am sure
I'm sure it's going to be good. Like I'm
like the zone looks really [ __ ] cool.
It's cool that there's stuff happening
on the outside and the inside and all
that. It's and like I'm
I I accept
that my emotional reaction is out of
proportion. If you think this is out of
proportion, wait until you hear about
the Mythic Plus rotation.
>> Oh. Oh.
>> but but I am not the only one having
this emotional reaction. And I feel like
players' emotional reactions like this
is something that Blizzard should be
able to anticipate. And you know, it's
like
if if the content is going to be
different, tell me. Cuz right now, in
the way you've described it,
it doesn't sound that different. And I'm
not even saying that's a bad thing, but
just try to make it sound different.
>> Yeah.
>> Make it sound like it's not the same
thing I've been doing for three
expansions.
>> Yes. And there'll be there Yeah, you're
right. There will be a purple triangle
question marker over the gray fishing
guy.
>> [laughter]
>> But no, he's going to be so cool.
>> Forever. Forever. Until the day I die,
there will be a purple question marker
over the gray fishing guy.
>> Okay, wait. We need another purple
triangle just to throw in there to to,
you know, linger [clears throat] in
people's minds. But this time we're
going to put one It's like literally
going to be right next to like right
next to the content.
>> helps very like talking about all this
[ __ ] It helps very the least for some
really interesting sounding stuff as
well.
>> Well, I guess they just got it out of
the way. They're like, "Listen, this is
this is the This is the form. This is
the shape of the thing. It will be
familiar to you."
>> I don't think that's a great way of
presenting stuff. I think it should
definitely be the other way around where
the interesting stuff is at the front.
But don't worry, Evie, cuz I know you're
feeling a bit underwhelmed and you're
feeling a little bit off-put by the
rotating world events that culminate in
a boss, even if you can fish there
afterwards.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Uh but don't worry, because we're about
to pick this announcement right back up.
Because also, there's a talent tree.
>> Hey!
This one has more than one node.
It kind of looks like a snake. It's a
snake! It's a cobra!
>> [ __ ] it is.
>> It's a cobra!
>> You've never had a talent tree in the
shape of a cobra before?
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know what you're complaining
about.
>> This one is a snake. The one we have
right now is a straight line. which is
pretty interesting.
>> Well, actually actually, I guess every
talent tree is kind of in the shape of
snake.
>> Okay, I take it back.
>> Come on.
>> [laughter]
>> Oh, look. Look, again and again
again I've got nothing against this.
Especially because of how good the
Omniom Folio is. Oh my god.
>> Oh, I mean
>> That that talent tree has changed the
way I play the game.
You know?
>> Yeah.
>> you Which one did you go for?
>> Uh orbs.
>> Yeah, do you know why? Because that's
the only one that has a [ __ ] graphic.
>> I didn't Oh.
>> Light one has no visual feedback at all.
It's literally Yeah, like the only way
you know it's doing anything is if you
literally check your DPS meter after a
fight.
>> Yeah.
>> I did cuz I wanted to see which one was
better. Like last night, we were kind of
like doing lots of fighting obviously in
our raid. And I I did some pulls with
the
orbs up and I did some pulls with the
with the light flame up.
>> Yeah.
>> And uh well, the orbs contributed I know
it's only the first like rune, right?
And they get better. But the orbs
contributed to sub-zero percent of my
healing.
>> That's nice. That's
>> And sub-zero percent of my damage.
>> Oh, okay.
>> So like literally like 0.0 something of
them.
>> [laughter]
>> Uh and I was like, "Well, okay. I guess
I'm switching to the light. Everyone
says that one's better."
Uh and that one was marginally better
but still sub-zero percent of my healing
again.
>> There you go. There you go.
>> Um so, just [ __ ] game changer. And if
this talent tree is as is as
significant, then I think we are in for
a treat.
>> Well, I I think literally like one of
the first nodes is like
the poison doesn't really bother you
anymore.
>> Yeah, I mean, we'll see, right? But So,
okay look.
I Do you know what? I think is obviously
there's some very strong reactions to
this uh online as you might imagine.
>> Yeah.
>> Like and again
perhaps disproportionate emotional
reaction from the player base, but not
an unpredictable disproportionate
emotional reaction. And I I wouldn't
even blame them cuz I have the same
emotional reaction.
I think if we think about it on its own
terms, yeah, it's fun to have a thing
that you're working towards, right?
Throughout the patch and like
>> Exactly. And it has to be a structure to
it.
>> up and that you're gearing up and like I
I've often said that I think I would
like to play with the idea, just
experiment one time, of having some
extra literal [ __ ] levels to level,
as in like we're 90, maybe you got to 92
or 95 or something. Like in a in a
patch, just so we have something we're
working through in in like a major
patch. And this is kind of like a
version of that in a way, right? And
like I hate it when people are like,
"Oh, more borrowed power. You said there
would be no more borrowed power."
Actually, a lot of comments using the
exact same words to say that. Like
Blizzard said they were done with
borrowed power, yet here it is, which
makes me think a YouTuber has said it in
a reaction which they're kind of
copying. But it's like,
you know, I don't want to be that guy,
but I am that guy, alas, and I have to
live with it.
You do want borrowed power in a patch.
You don't want Blizzard to abandon
borrowed power because gear is borrowed
power. Like you want gear, don't you?
You want tier set bonuses. Remember when
we didn't have tier set bonuses? Do you
remember how [ __ ] that was? Do you
remember you remember Shadowlands? You
remember not tier set bonuses?
Like you want that shadow power. Like
you want that borrowed power, okay? You
want it. Um and like this this will uh
this is you could make an argument and
you'd be right if you made this
argument that
a talent tree like this, which is
specific to the zone or the expansion,
Blizzard getting very good at like
reusing locations and zones now in other
expansions. This is arguably less
borrowed power than tier uh season two
gear.
Because season two gear and tier sets,
you get in season two just like this,
but then you replace it in season three.
You won't replace this. This will always
be here. Um when you whenever you go to
the Isle of Thorns
>> power with some play.
>> even the Coiled Isle, right? Like it'll
always be there. So if in many it is
like a permanent upgrade when you're in
this zone and it's literally less
borrowed power than tier sets. It's less
borrowed power than the gear you're
going to get that season.
>> Mhm.
>> With that said, I understand the
emotional reaction. And I tell you what,
it's not even the the
talent tree itself which is giving me
that reaction. It's the cost. One green
thing.
>> Mhm.
>> And you know what that one green thing
cost makes me think?
>> What?
>> That you get one a week.
You know?
Like it makes me feel like
>> Of course it's going to be time gated,
right?
>> Well well yeah, but like I mean
everything's time gated to a certain And
again, that's another thing where you're
like, "Oh, time gating." But it's like,
"Well, yeah, everything is time gated to
a certain degree, but there's good and
bad ways of doing it." And you know a
bad way of doing it? Getting one of
these tokens per week.
And like upgrading one per week.
>> a lot of weeks, right there.
>> No, but it's also completely passive.
Like you don't feel like you're earning
it, you're just waiting for it, right?
You know? Like it's like it's not
like I honestly think it would be better
if there was like a grindable artifact
power element to this talent tree rather
than just getting given a token every
week that you then spend and you've done
nothing. You feel no sense of
achievement. That's okay in a point
seven patch where it is just a content
nerf, right? But as like this is your
this is one of your power progressions
for the patch, the major patch, you want
to as a player feel like you're earning
a little bit, right?
>> Yeah.
>> So like just being given it every week
like you do with the Omnium Folio, yeah,
fine. You have to go and do a ritual
site. Yeah, you have to go and like one
week you have to go and do a delve or
whatever. But like you are basically
just getting given it. Like I think
there might be room here for a little
bit of a a little bit of an AP style
grind.
>> Could be fun.
>> Please don't hate me. I know I know 20%
of you will be like, "Yeah, I I actually
think you're right, Tali." And the rest
of you will be like, "Hang him."
Literally just murdered the rest of you
are like [ __ ] Andor in season 1
shooting shooting the guy. I'm like, "I
think there's I think there's like room
for an AP grind."
>> [laughter]
>> I think there's
right, like say you could maybe earn the
equivalent of two or three of these
nodes per week or something. But it's up
to you to kind of incrementally work up
to that.
>> than one a week cuz like how many nodes
are there in total?
>> there are loads of them. There are tons
of them. I get what you're saying. It's
you know, it's effectively the same
thing, but just the way you acquire it
feels different in that rather than
getting one item, one green thing you
get a you know, incremental path.
>> I think having a grind where you can
achieve something is really is good
actually.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, and yeah, obviously
in this day and age it would be
account-wide as well. So, that'd be
brilliant.
>> Yeah.
>> But like, you know,
those of you who only listen to our
podcast and don't watch any videos or
our streams or anything, you you will
know that I I laugh a lot at ritual
sites cuz I think they're dumb and I
haven't really done any. I don't really
see the point. But that's not to say I
don't want them in the game, you know,
they're just not for me. But in the last
week I I got a character to max level
and I wanted to just like gear them up
in hero gear
and I literally went out there and I
spammed the ritual site that was up
probably about 50 times. Like got all
the field accolades I needed. And I
loved it. I loved doing that. I loved
that it was up to me. I loved that I
could get as many field accolades as I
saw fit. Like I wasn't capped. I wasn't
like, "Oh, have you done the thing you
need to do to earn your one field
accolade this week which you can spend
as you see fit and everyone basically
gets it." No, I was like, "I need
thousands of field accolades right now.
So, I'm going to go out and get them. No
one can stop me. It's going to take me a
long time. It's going to be hard, but I
did it and it actually felt really good
because it's something that doesn't
really exist in the game much anymore.
>> That's a good point actually. Kind of a
kind of in endless grind should you want
it or need it, right?
>> gives you a sense of control. It gives
you a sense of What's the word I'm
looking for? Not passiveness of of
uh
you know, being in control of of
um
you know, like
>> agency
>> Yes, thank you. Agency. Gives you a
sense of agency. In that you know, you
need you see a thing you need, you don't
have to like there's no lockout you're
waiting for, there's no cap on on you
doing it. You just go out and get it.
Like how Torghast just got a million
percent better when they didn't cap how
much like legendary dust or whatever it
was you could get every week. And you're
just like, "Oh [ __ ] I can now run this
50 times in a week if I want to."
Yeah, and I'm I'm going to run it 50
times this week and then I'm never going
to run it again, but that's actually a
much more enjoyable experience than
being forced to run it twice per week
forever.
>> I got you. I got you.
Yeah.
>> Yeah, agency. I I I and I feel like with
these talent trees, what certainly what
the Omnium Folio lacks is agency cuz
you're just like you're waiting for the
week. And when the week comes, you're a
bit more powerful. And then the next
week comes, you're a bit more powerful.
And it would be nice if they were just
like just grind the [ __ ] out of it, man.
>> Yeah.
>> You know? Like like they did with dragon
riding when Dragonflight launched. They
were like, "No, you can just you can max
out dragon riding day one. You can go
fly around getting the shit."
>> Just go for it. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Like it felt awesome. It felt
amazing. And it felt revolutionary cuz
they hadn't been doing that. And we do
seem to be getting back into this like
just got to wait for it now.
>> Yeah. I I get what you're saying though.
I think there definitely is space for
that kind of grind, that kind of mindset
without it, you know, cuz they're all
about like, "Hey, we want to make this
accessible. We want to make it easy for
you people who are busy playing other
games." Haha haha as if you play other
games. And living your lives. Haha. What
lives? [laughter] Like you know, we want
to Yeah, we want to like kind of
streamline processes, but I think in
doing that they've they've almost
removed like the
the greediness of the grind, right? So,
I I get what you're saying there. I
think there might be room for that.
>> Yeah. I I I think so, too. Um so, people
obviously having very strong emotional
reactions to this altar of corrosion,
uh but I guess we'll we'll have to wait
and see how it how it hits um uh in
testing and stuff like that.
Um okay. So,
uh yeah, here's the the rare elites that
uh spawn
>> Yeah. Layers.
>> layers.
>> layers.
>> Now, this is the This is the This is the
feature,
you know, which is I Okay, so it's not
an expan- major expansion feature, but
it's a major uh patch feature.
And you're like
it's a bit like the feeling I got from
Torghast when they announced it, from
uh war fronts when they announced it.
It's that feature where you're like,
"Oh,
I don't understand."
>> Yeah.
>> That's the kind of thing I'm going to
really need to see happening.
I love that it's a new idea. They should
definitely have led with this, you know,
because it's new. It's a new concept.
It's a new idea. And you're like, "Oh,
here's the new thing that the uh the
zone is doing." Like, so can you explain
uh what you understand about this to us,
Abby?
>> So, layers are
>> [laughter]
>> I think they they kind of maybe shot
themselves in a foot in the feet
>> in fins, in scales.
>> Yeah. By describing these as world
bosses or framing them as like evolved
world bosses, because the concept of a
world boss is it is in the world and it
is out there and, you know, but like uh
so, these are they say an evolution on
world bosses in instances
uh that are kind of around and uh but
they have scaling difficulty.
So, they go from
>> Everything's got scales this [ __ ]
patch mate.
That's my second scale joke in two
sentences, by the way.
>> We've got a good weekly reset skit uh
kind of that we can
>> Oh, what we?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just something to do
with like scaling. Oh, great.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Done. Good. It's done.
So, yeah. So, they are kind of they're
kind of like delves delve locations.
But with a big world boss in it that
scales all the way up to mythic.
Flexible mythic, mind you. Cuz that's
how we roll now. We're flexible. 15 to
25 players.
Uh
and that's it.
>> Yeah.
>> They're they're kind of scaling
difficulty world bosses and instances.
>> They're called layers.
>> If all this is is like standard world
bosses but like instanced off
>> Mhm.
>> I don't like it.
>> Mhm.
>> Um
If you'd told me and this is not how it
works by the way. Like looking at the
UI, this is not how it works.
>> Mhm.
>> A really modern MMO idea and what I
think Guild Wars 3 is going to lean very
heavily into
is like auto dropping groups. I think
Guild Wars 3 is going to be very much
like you are out in the world auto
grouping, auto dropping to like like
instances, right? Like little little
mini dungeons and like events and stuff
like that. Yeah, exactly. I think
they're going to lean really heavily
into like the auto dropping of groups
and stuff like that. And if you told me
that's what they were doing here where
you enter this kind of like
space and you know, you drop into a
group and maybe there's just like hordes
of trash coming at you until the group
is formed and then the boss kind of like
yeah. That would sound really cool and
fresh and modern and like
>> Yeah, that would
>> an interesting concept. And um
but I don't think that is what it's
going to be. I think it's going to be
group finder. I think you're going to
not have to join and and it will be kind
of like auto find on the group finder
like like world bosses are now, you
know. Um
but then you'll go in and yeah, if it is
literally just a fix lag
then I don't like it. If they're if if
they use the opportunity to make these
different. So, the fact that it scales
up to mythic automatically makes it feel
a bit different. You know, if they're at
different difficulty levels. Are they
going to be proper mechanics? Like, not
raid boss level mechanics, but I'll see.
Um, but, you know,
>> not world boss mechanics, I think.
>> If If I join a mythic world boss,
>> Yeah.
>> like, can I expect that we will need
there to be healers in that group? That
that we will need there to be tanks in
that group? That I will need to know
something about the mythic fight that
I'm stepping into, otherwise I'm
probably going to die.
>> On the scale of like world boss and raid
boss, where does this sit?
>> Right.
>> And that's a really fine line. I don't
know what the answer is because, like,
to a certain extent, content like this
is super annoying if it's got too many
mechanics and too much to know.
>> want to like you know, I want to fly in.
I want to go. I want to do it sometimes.
But for people who want a challenge,
>> are introducing a mythic difficulty, I
think I think there is an expectation
there that's like, "Okay, well, you
might not survive if you don't know what
you're doing here." Or if you're not
geared enough. Or And I hope it's not
just a case of, "Are you geared enough?
Can you survive this damage?" Like, "Can
you chip away at this this health?" I
hope it is a thing of like, "Oh,
mythic?"
>> There's some mechanics.
>> At the very least, it's like you have to
know
to all run off of the floor when the
boss starts flashing red cuz the floor's
about to disappear. Like, just something
like that, right? You know? Like like
the star dragon in Mists of Pandaria, in
like
Throne of Thunder, which I think the
star dragon is like the perfect LFR
boss, like the best LFR boss ever made.
It's got like one mechanic where if you
don't know it, you will die.
>> Mhm.
>> Like, that [ __ ] starts flashing,
that floor is about to disappear. You
know? Like, if you don't know that,
>> Mhm.
>> you will die.
>> Yeah.
>> And it's literally just a knowledge
thing. And it's like, "Okay,
it's a very easy mechanic. You just get
off the floor before it disappears. But
if you don't know, you are going to
die." And like, the amount of times you
see just like back in Mists, you saw
just a whole LFR groups just plunging to
their death. It's like, "Okay, now I
know."
You know? But like and I think that's
perfect for LFR. Like one mechanic that
you need to know that will kill you.
>> Yeah.
>> Um and it's super easy to deal with, but
you have to know it.
>> to know it. Yeah. So, you're not like
chipping away for like 10, 20 pulls, but
you you might not necessarily get it in
the first one either.
>> And so, Blizzard have to find that
balance. I'm glad it's them having to do
it, not me, cuz I can just talk [ __ ]
about it, but I don't actually have to
make it. Um where yeah, there is that
thing of like, "Mm, okay, well, how how
much are we expecting from our groups in
Mythic?" Like how how much knowledge
Like I suspect there'll be zero
coordination needed, and I think that'll
be the correct decision. But I think
personal knowledge about where you have
to stand when this thing happens. Like
>> Mhm.
>> "Oh, you need to stand behind a rock
when this [ __ ] happens. You need to turn
around and not be looking at the boss
when they do the big flash." Right? Cuz
otherwise you get dazed or something. Uh
there's [ __ ] like that. Like and and
finding that line between there is some
level of challenge there, but also it's
not just super [ __ ] annoying and
impossible. Like I I don't envy them
having to try and balance that.
>> No. Um so, yeah. So, the it's this Oh,
it's called the lair. The lair will be
available for testing in a later PTR
builds.
>> Oh, the lair?
>> The lair.
But then it's also described as layers.
I'm just reading it on this uh PTR post.
Introducing layers.
>> Yeah.
>> Described as layers, but also the lair.
I don't know. It could just This could
just
>> These ones are the these. These
>> Yeah, I'm reading I'm reading a
different uh different
>> Oh, okay.
>> post.
>> Yeah, no, I think I think it's going to
be multiple.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure. Um yeah.
>> So, the Ultra Fangs is the new dungeon.
Three bosses. We know Spoiler, but we've
already had it in this. We know that
Zul'jan is the boss, the final boss of
that.
>> Nice.
>> We know that he probably turns into a
snake at some point.
>> Sick.
>> Hopefully he'll stay as a snake. I God,
I really hope he stays as a snake.
>> I I could go I could go either way.
>> I'm so into the idea of him becoming a
goody and being our friend now, and you
know, helping us fight against the rest
of like the void and the rest of the
[ __ ] like thing, but being a snake
now, I just think that would be really
cool.
>> I don't want to I don't want to punish
him too much.
>> No, but but he would actually like
learn to love being a snake.
>> Oh, okay.
>> He'd be like, you know what and you
know, like you go and talk to him in
last Titan and you'd be like, how do you
how you feeling about being a snake now?
And he's like, you know what? I actually
kind of like it. If someone chops my
tail off, it grows back. And
yeah, there's there's a good [ __ ] about
it, man. Look how long my tongue is. I
just feel like, you know,
I always I always
you know, I was always at odds with with
some of my people and now that's kind of
visualized, you know? It's like, yeah. I
I think that's awesome. I think that's
really really cool.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> I like it.
And the venomous abyss and it's so
green, it's so shiny, it's so trolly.
There was some speculation when we were
talking about this other raid, sorry.
When we were talking about this on
stream that there would be like Titan
elements to this because obviously Okay,
so Ulatek is the baddie. You had some
thoughts about Ulatek.
>> I did have some thoughts about Ulatek. I
think Ulatek looks absolutely sick.
>> Yeah, but like about their motivations
and stuff.
>> Oh, oh, yeah, before.
Um
Like I I you know, oh, right. So, the
way that Ulatek was described in in the
Wowcast is like Ulatek is a vessel of
hatred. You can't say that cuz that's
Diablo. Ulatek is
Ulatek is full of hatred and venom and
and you know, Zul'jin
>> creature of hatred, corruption, and
venom.
>> There you go. Has been unleashed by
Zul'jin's actions. Okay, a bit of a
spoiler. Now, the way the way they're
framing
>> wait for that story quest in two weeks.
I wonder what's going to happen.
>> So, you know, the way Ulatek is framed
is like bad, very bad Ulatek. Obviously,
Ulatek is going to be a boss, the final
boss of the raid.
And I think you You
I want to think that we're not just in
it to destroy Ula'tek. Well, I think
there's more of like a you know, maybe
there's a bit of
redemption is the wrong word. Like
you know, maybe maybe we set Ula'tek
free. Like maybe we need to you know
>> It's pretty pissy that she's down there
honestly, if you think about it.
>> Yeah, yeah. And uh
>> They they summoned her from the rift of
Aln.
>> Yeah.
>> And then she defeated the big K'thirix
monster for them. And then they were
like, "Well, she's mean."
>> Yeah.
>> with the big K'thirix monster. And you
know what? I think you might be on to
something. There is some data mining out
there apparently with big spoilers. So,
I haven't read that yet. I haven't had a
chance to catch up on that yet. I didn't
actually know that was there. So, this
is your chance guys who are aware of the
data mining to judge these predictions
uh virgin and pure as they are.
>> don't spoil people in the
>> Don't spoil in the chats. I don't want
to know. I'm going to look it up myself.
>> to know.
>> But yeah, I mean look, there is there is
someone
very very conspicuous by their absence
here.
>> Mhm.
>> Because we know that Ula'tek was locked
away with K'thirix, the baddie that she
was fighting. And there doesn't seem to
be any K'thirix in this raid.
>> Mhm.
>> Like I'm just saying, the final boss is
Ula'tek and that means, you know,
is there someone you forgot to ask?
>> Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> I consent I consent, but K'thirix is
like,
"Did you forget to ask?"
>> So, they've So, they've listed
uh Venomous Abyss Raid testing schedule.
>> Ooh.
>> Uh and with it of course they've listed
the bosses. Okay.
>> Um
>> And
uh we have Nixxondra, the Soul Coiler.
>> Mhm.
>> The Tortollan Explorer.
>> No.
>> I'm not fighting Tortollans.
>> No.
>> I'm not FIGHTING TORTOLLANS.
>> NO.
>> AW, MAN. OKAY, Entombed Sentinels.
>> Cool.
>> Nice. Uh
>> The Unwilling Vessel sounds [ __ ]
awesome.
>> Yeah, exactly. Well, that's where I get
So,
>> Yeah, Zorak, Vashj'ir the Malignant, The
Twin Fang.
>> Don't say the the name of the first one
right at the very top cuz that's a
spoiler I I've been really good at not
spoiling.
>> Ah, okay.
>> Okay.
>> Uh, and uh,
the you know, the the last boss
Ulatek is called the unwilling vessel.
>> Is that Ulatek?
>> I think so.
>> 1 2 3 4 5 6 That's seven bosses.
>> Yeah. Oh, no. Okay.
>> So, Ulatek is
What Ulatek won't be tested for the
unwilling vessel if the unwilling vessel
is not Ulatek it's someone else.
>> Yeah. But
>> unwilling vessel could be anything. It
could be like
>> It could be
>> necessarily need to be like lore
important, but equally it could be very
lore important. Absolutely. Yeah,
exactly.
>> Um
>> Interesting.
>> um, so yeah, so my my thinking is, you
know, my hope is that we don't just go
there and just murder Ulatek. Like Like
>> [laughter]
>> Like I I just I just don't I don't I
don't want that to happen, right?
>> Yeah, I know. So, Ulatek Okay, people
asking in chat where we know Ulatek
from. So, it's actually a really
interesting story. Ulatek, um,
in the original drawings of the maps,
the concept maps for vanilla wow,
>> Mhm.
>> like uh, the original concepts, Zul'Aman
is there, Eversong Woods is there, Kul
Tiras is there,
uh, and there is this big island off the
east coast of uh, Zul'Aman called the
Isle of Fangs.
Uh, and you know, Ulatek is said to be
there, who is
at that point a snake loa.
>> Yeah.
>> Now, later on that obviously never made
it to vanilla. Obviously never made it
to BC.
But then in the RPG,
uh, the Warcraft RPG, which obviously
isn't canon unless they decide it is
like they did with Derek Proudmoore.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Um,
Derek Proudmoore Katrana Proudmoore
Katrana, I think it was from the RPG.
Um,
um,
there it went into a bit more detail
about Ulatek. She you know, she wasn't
quite a loa, she was actually summoned
in the RPG by the Dark Iron Dwarves to
be a partner for Ragnarok.
>> Oh, is he lonely?
>> I mean, they were like, "We can get you
a partner.
And we're filling out your
dating profile. And we're like, "What
are you really looking for in a
partner?" And he's like, "Snake [ __ ]
honestly. Just just snake [ __ ] please.
That'd be awesome."
And and so and and that was kind of the
end of it, right? But, you know, in
Chronicle,
we learned that Kith'ix was buried under
Zul'Aman,
which
kind of, you know, added an extra
element there as well.
And then, in BFA,
there is, in the Sethrak zone, or this
part of the zone, there is You know that
when you when you release Mythrax,
>> [clears throat]
>> who is also a Black Empire general, and
he attacks like the Ziggurat and stuff
like that.
Well, obviously, the part of the zone
where you summon him by mistake in BFA
is called the Isle of Fangs.
And in the original data,
the Mythrax model was called Kith'ix.
So, it seems like in BFA, they were they
were going to do
They were like, "Oh, well, we we cut all
the
We're never going to go back to
Zul'Aman. We're never going to do all
this stuff. So, let's just put it in
like Zandalar instead and do that. Isle
of Fangs, Kith'ix, let's go.
Snake people, you know." And then and
then at some point, they obviously got
cold feet on that, and they were like,
"Ah, actually, no, no, we might go back
to Zul'Aman. Let's change it Change it
up Change it up." And they forgot about
the Isle of Fangs, but they changed
Kith'ix to Mythrax and like all that.
So,
we're back on Kith'ix now, and Kith'ix
is
confirmed to be a thing, like confirming
the Chronicle thing, in the the quest
which comes in a couple of weeks, which
no spoilers, but who knows what's going
to happen. And um
Yeah, they they They
Ulatek to defeat him from the rift of
Aln. So, she's just like a scared
monster like all the monsters are after
the rift of Aln, right? And
and she did
and she was like, "Hey, I beat you guy
for you." And they went, "No, you're
scary. Get in there with him."
>> [laughter]
>> And
and so, yeah, I I think your theory that
she you know, she's just like she just
wants to be let out, honestly.
>> Yeah. Yeah. She does. She does. And I
think and I think the unwilling vessel
is Zul'jin.
>> You reckon?
>> I think so.
>> Oh, as a snake man?
>> Yeah, I think she I think, you know,
he's imbued with power against his will.
>> Uh yeah, you know what? You're probably
right.
>> think so.
>> I think that could be Zul'jin as well.
Then he'd be a dungeon boss and a raid
boss.
What a dude. Has anyone been a dungeon
boss and a raid boss in the same patch?
That's awesome. That's That's hot.
That's hot [ __ ]
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, I I love Zul'jin. I think he's
super cool. So.
>> Yeah. Um so, anyway, that's the thing
behind Ulatek. And yeah, so it makes me
think like the conspicuous lack of
Kith'ix here and your theory that Ulatek
could actually turn out to be okay.
>> Mhm.
>> Uh like it makes me think about that one
boss raid that's coming in 12.1.5.
And it feels like that would be perfect
for Kith'ix.
You know, we we kind of like
you know, settle Ulatek down. She's all
like,
"Ah
uh well, I don't like these troll guys
cuz they locked me in here, but you seem
okay. You're powerful. I respect that.
Whatever." And then Kith'ix is also
released and he's like, "Hey, do you
want to help us beat Kith'ix?" And she's
like, "I [ __ ] love beating Kith'ix.
Let's go." And then maybe she helps us
out in the in the raid, right?
>> Yeah. Maybe.
>> Could be.
>> Yeah. Maybe. Who knows?
Could be. Um I It is a rich vein. I'm
I'm
>> Like I said, we haven't seen those those
data mining spoilers yet. So.
>> So, we could we could be completely off
the mark.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> No, there are no people sitting here
like that. That was 10 minutes we talked
about that [ __ ] and they're so off the
mark. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> Um yeah, so
uh the Venomous Abyss Altar of Fangs
dungeon uh raid. Uh new delves.
>> The Ring of Glory.
Oh, actually it looks like the ring I I
said the Ring of Glory Oh, no, the Ring
of Glory is now side one. Lots of ghosts
cheering in the Ring of Glory.
Yeah, all the people that have died in
the Ring of Glory, they they still love
the Ring of Glory so much they they
can't stay away. They keep coming back
for a bit of Ring of Glory.
And they're like Ring of Glory. Ring of
Glory. Let's go. I'm going to be farming
that Ring of Glory. I'm going to be
farming
>> welcome to uh Touchpad Warriors raid.
Welcome.
>> Oh, the Touchpad Warrior. Hi, sorry.
Nice to see you. We're talking about the
Ring of Glory.
>> So you'll feel right at home.
>> Yeah. Um
>> [laughter]
>> It's like
Touchpad Warrior's alarm went up. It was
like someone's talking about the Ring of
Glory. Let's get to the to the glory
mobile.
To the Touchpad copter. Let's go.
>> [laughter]
>> Um yeah, I don't I'm going to be farming
the [ __ ] out of the Ring of Glory. Oh,
wait. Hang on. I didn't
That one I didn't [laughter] mean.
But I will be. There's going to be not
There's not going to be a smidgen of
loot left in that. I'm going to I'm
going to clear that one out. Oh my
goodness. I'm going to pillage that Ring
of Glory.
Me and Balera.
>> Oh, I forgot that she's there with you.
>> Yeah, she's coming. Oh, she wouldn't
miss this one. Are you kidding?
She wouldn't shut up about the Ring of
Glory.
Wouldn't she know?
>> Oh, wait. That That reminds me. So we
will talk about delves in a second, but
there's more prey. But I love how they I
love how they position prey. They're
like "Good news, everyone. Astalor has
some new lines."
>> [laughter]
>> Get your [ __ ] mate.
>> Um
>> It's like join me in the ring of glory.
>> Yes, please God, please.
>> Uh I know that actually some interesting
things about hunts which we'll we'll get
on to in a second. But um uh yeah,
but I'm I'm finished talking about this.
Um so I think I think a Valera will
obviously have some new levels and stuff
to really just like lubricate the
process of of
uh you know, looting the ring of glory.
Just uh kind of like, you know, like
grease the wheels a little bit.
>> Oh.
>> So when you're plunging in there,
really just kind of like
>> Well.
Anyway,
>> delving deep.
>> Are you done?
>> Mm yeah.
>> Okay.
So Ring of Glory, Nar'alador Isle.
>> Now Nar'alador Isle I know I'm rocking
an awesome name.
>> Yeah, Nar'alador Isle is perfect. And
the Venomfall Deeps is the Oh, Venomfall
Deeps is the Nemesis boss.
>> I don't know. I think it's harder than
the last Nemesis.
Two easy. I I actually two shot that and
I would have one shot it if I'd been
paying attention.
>> [laughter]
>> I know, I would have one shot it if I
hadn't just switched from No, that was
it. I went in a shadow.
>> Yeah.
>> And like halfway through the fight, I
was like
huh, this is pretty easy. If I was to
switch to disc, I would one shot this.
Like I like if I was discipline priest,
this this guy would not be touching me.
And this was on like the hardest
difficulty right?
>> Mhm.
>> And it was thinking about that that
distracted me and I died. And then I
swapped to disc, but I pulled him
just swapped from shadow to disc, right?
So I had zero mana. Your mana goes to
zero. And I pulled him and I hadn't
noticed.
>> Oh.
>> And I tried to cast some spells. I'm
like, oh, I can't cast spells right now.
Oh, [ __ ] I didn't get my mana back
after changing spec, but I still one
shot him as disc even though I had zero
mana.
>> Well done. [laughter]
>> On the hardest difficulty, yes. And I
was like, that's probably a bit too
easy, isn't it? And that was week one.
It wasn't like I was geared up or
anything.
>> No, exactly. So I I was like, yeah, I'd
like I'd like to see it maybe be a teeny
tiny bit bit harder.
>> this new guy, I'm a big fan of his silly
little face.
>> He's so goofy.
>> He's so
>> [laughter]
>> And love how And he's not goofy in a
[ __ ] way like the Dominos. He's goofy in
a brilliant way.
>> Exactly.
>> Yeah. It's like you don't have to be
[ __ ] just cuz you're goofy.
>> Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Um I I really
love the look of him, so I hope he's
going to be a fun nemesis boss.
Um and they're going to be introducing
new snake and venom variants.
>> Love that.
>> Existing delves.
>> great in War Within when all the delves
just became really like gobliny all of a
sudden. It was like It was It was cool.
>> Yeah. I like that. Yeah.
>> Um and then Midnight season two
Okay.
We're going to fly through this cuz I
want to get to like the new stuff that's
been in like posts and stuff like that.
But we've been talking about out of
proportion emotional reactions and how
justified they are, honestly, and how
it's not actually our fault.
>> Absolutely.
>> I think probably the biggest
uh emotional reaction from many of us
came when we saw this [ __ ] dog [ __ ]
mythic plus rotation.
[ __ ] this [ __ ] Now, things I like about
it, honestly. The new dungeon of the
Franks, yeah. New dungeon in the mythic
plus rotation always good. Like
completely fresh, completely new. No
one's even seen it before. Brilliant.
That's like the the highlight of the
mythic plus season for me. Last time we
had that Well, actually last time we had
that was in Echo Dome, but Echo Dome was
a good dungeon, as well. I enjoyed that
in the mythic plus rotation.
>> You know what? Yeah.
>> Uh the Waterworks one, the Operation
Floodgate, one of the best dungeons in
the entire game.
>> Okay.
>> Like so good.
Love that Yeah, yeah, I know. I I don't
think that's a controversial opinion. I
think a lot of people would agree. Um
Ultra Franks, who knows if it's going to
be good, but I love that it's there.
Brilliant. Happy about that. Murder Row,
bang a [ __ ] dungeon. Potentially the
best dungeon in this expansion. That
[ __ ] is legit. The bosses have like
super fun mechanics even on the very low
difficulties. Yeah. Like it's got a kind
of wandering around town bit, but it's
not annoying like the Suramar dungeon.
It's like very It's quite streamlined.
People are going to hate like the job
bit, but maybe they'll scale that down a
bit for the next season. Exactly. And
like yeah, brilliant. [ __ ] I I love
Mother Ro. I think it's going to be one
of the most fun Mythic Plus dungeons of
the entire season.
>> And I also love the idea of like making
really really high key pushers like
literally sweep the floor. You know,
it's like it's like no no no. You
>> [laughter]
>> you sweep this floor. You serve those
guests.
>> Den of Nalorak can [ __ ] right off. That
can eat [ __ ]
>> Oh, I know. That's a shame, isn't it?
>> of Nalorak in [ __ ] concrete and fire
into the sun. Wrap it up in like
like a a nuclear waste container and
dump it in the North Sea. No, I want to
love Den of Nalorak. It's the best
looking dungeon in the entire
expansion. It looks so great. I love the
whole concept of it.
But in practice, it's miserable. On on
like lower difficulty levels, it's so
miserable. And you just know if you've
ever played a Mythic Plus dungeon in
your life, you know how much that is
going to [ __ ] suck. It's got the
worst gauntlet I've ever seen in a
dungeon. Like the blowy snow gauntlet.
It blows. It's horrible. It's terrible.
I I hate it. It's going to be bad. No
one's going to like it. The Blinding
Veil potentially a really really good
Mythic Plus dungeon, I think. Like I I
always love going in there. Void Scar
Arena could could really go either way,
honestly. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> And then we get into the returning
dungeons, which I was really looking
forward to cuz I think that I think the
season one set such a good precedent
with its returning dungeon.
>> Yeah, nice thematic.
>> Well, not only that, but it had two
dungeons
like in in Spires of Arak and Pit of
Saron that had never been Mythic Plus
dungeons before. They were old dungeons
that had never been Mythic Plus. So, it
felt like two new Mythic I was literally
two new Mythic Plus dungeons. And it
felt brilliant. I thought I thought
that was a sign of things to come. I
That filled me with hope. I was like,
"Oh, this is a thing they're doing.
They're going back and they they they
farming these old dungeons and turning
into Mythic Plus and they're working
really well. Pit of Saron and Spire of
Arak are two of my favorite dungeons in
season 1. I was like, yeah, okay. Like
there's a there's Algeth'ar Academy in
there and it feels really soon to be
having a
Dragonflight dungeon, but at least it's
not Ruby Life Pools, I thought to
myself. Could be a lot [laughter] worse,
right?
And you know, I think in the future I
think in future seasons we will see like
like and you know
I was thinking Wrath dungeons.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, all those troll dungeons from
Wrath. You know, be brilliant to have
>> there's so many all the Zuls.
>> Oh, good, yeah.
>> All the Zuls.
>> Exactly, all the Zuls. Line up the Zuls,
put them on the table, line them up. And
so
when I say that I was crushing the
disappointed by the returning dungeons
in this list, King's Rest, great
dungeon. I know that lots of people in
in this
chat will disagree with me, but I'm
actually looking forward to that.
There's a bit of a weird gauntlet in
King's Rest, but okay, whatever. Ruby
Life Pools, [ __ ] off, Hades, you die.
>> [laughter]
>> Burn with fire. Nope. And you know what?
I don't even care if it's like it maybe
it's a good dungeon or not. I can't even
really [ __ ] remember.
>> Mhm.
>> But all I know is I don't I just don't
want a [ __ ] Dragonflight dungeon.
>> exactly. You remember how it felt,
right?
>> not want a Dragonflight dungeon.
>> I know.
>> I don't want a Dragonflight dungeon in
this [ __ ] Mythic Plus rotation,
especially not this dog [ __ ]
Dragonflight dungeon.
>> I know.
>> I don't want it.
This is
I freely admit a disproportionate
emotional reaction. Okay?
>> At least you acknowledge it.
>> I do acknowledge it.
>> Yeah.
>> But also, it's a disproportionate
emotional
reaction which I think is justified and
which Blizzard should have predicted and
which many many people are having. Like
you go down into the comments of this
this
>> Oh, and people are like "I disagree."
>> Everyone's like "Fuck off, Ruby Life
Pools. What the fuck?"
>> [laughter]
>> So, you know, and Temple of Sethraliss,
which man, look, I felt I I was talking
on stream about this yesterday. I was
like, we've had that come back in Mythic
Plus before, right? And people were
like, "No, it's never come back. We only
ever had it in BFA."
I was like, "Well, why do I feel like
it's been back in Mythic Plus before?"
It's because like in BFA, we had it for
four seasons. Cuz back in the day,
you had like just eight or eventually,
if you were lucky, 10 dungeons that were
your entire rotation for the entire
expansion. The expansions were longer
back in those days as well. You know,
and like so it's just so ingrained that
it feels like it's been back loads of
times in Mythic Plus, but it hasn't. So,
I don't know. But,
this is the season of the gauntlet, man.
Because Temple of Sethraliss has like a
very long gauntlet in it and a very
annoying gauntlet in it.
Uh my memory of it certainly, right,
it's been a while, but I I think King's
Rest has like a small gauntlet in it.
And then Den of Naralex, which is
[ __ ] gauntlets up the wazoo, the
worst gauntlet in the entire game. If
you don't like gauntlets, if you're not
Thanos,
you're going to [ __ ] hate this
season.
Jesus Christ, whose [ __ ] idea was it
to put [ __ ] Temple of Sethraliss with
Den of Naralex, gauntlet city?
>> Well, they might you know, those will be
tuned. Those will be nerfed. Like they
might gauntlets might be removed
completely right?
>> be. They're like major mechanics.
>> Well, they you know,
>> No.
Well, maybe you're right. I hope you
are.
>> I mean, that would be my expectation,
but
>> New prey. One of the things we've seen
in articles about prey when they go into
a bit more detail about it is one of the
options once you get to the end of your
renown tree in season 2 with prey is
custom hunts.
Uh which I'm assuming you get to choose
who you're hunting
>> Yeah.
>> right? That that seemed But, we don't
know anything else about it from there.
But, that just sounds very intriguing. I
like the sound of that. Cuz hunts are
good. We like hunts.
I'd like some changes in hunts. I'd like
I'd like to get rid of the whole kill
for me thing.
I mean, they kind of have changed that,
but like the idea that I can just like
have to go and have a wee.
>> Mhm.
>> But when I come back I'm dead.
I know, man. It just makes me like
I'm not sure.
>> Oh.
>> Yeah. Uh
I don't know.
>> Uh right. Um new fixes, new targets, uh
new hunt on the Coiled Isle, new voice
lines. Oh, and some new Arcanum quests.
>> Oh, do you know what? I'm glad. I love
the Arcanum. I like the No, I think it's
cute. As long as it's not
>> like it's really flopped. I feel like
it's Yeah, I feel like I've I went in
there, I did some quests, and maybe it's
cuz I'm not using it to its full
potential.
>> you're not doing it, it's kind of what
you might guess.
>> Um
hey, man. Like like you're not You're
allowed to not like it, but I I've made
sure I did all the quests every week,
and I really enjoyed it. And like it
takes 5 minutes. You get to see some
cool some people having a chat.
It is what it is. It's just like flavor,
right? It's just a bit of world
building. It's just a bit of like lore
delivery. I like it. So,
>> So,
>> that's everything that was in the
announcement. We're not going to talk
about PvP cuz I can't be bothered. Oh,
the cool down manager stuff. Great.
Really well done. So, um lots of ping
functionality, and lots of really great
stuff for healers being able to isolate
individual buffs and and like
like things on their bars with on their
raid frames, which you really really
need uh cuz we need to get people to
stop using add-ons for their raid
frames. When we were in uh
the the mythic raid last night,
we'd been wiping on what I thought was
stupid little things. Like people
There's these two mobs, right? There's
like a purple mushroom mob, and there's
like a green mushroom mob, right? And
you have to put all the purple mushrooms
over one place if you get fixated. And
if you get fixated by a green mob, you
have to put them in a different place.
And people just put them in the wrong
place all the time. And I was like,
"I don't understand why people are
getting this wrong. Like it's really
obvious. You can see it on screen." And
people were like, "Yeah, but like if
only there was some way that it appeared
like on my raid frames or something."
And I was like, "Well, it it does. Like
the literal icon of which color
mushroom is is fixating you appears like
the icon like it's a purple mushroom or
a green mushroom and it appears on your
on your raid frames and it turns out
that only happened on the standard raid
frames. Anyone who's using add-on wasn't
getting that information at all and
that's why people would didn't know what
what kind of mushroom was following
them.
And that's why we getting the wrong all
night and it's like yeah like raid
like not for the first time in season
one rating
people who weren't using the standard
raid frames were getting absolutely
gimped.
>> Yes.
>> Blaming Blizzard.
It was like no that information is
there. Very often like I remember in the
first week of like
Void Spire there was all that talk about
dragons and about Chimaeras and the
debuffs into Chimaeras and stuff it's
like it's just not appearing. There's no
way of knowing and with Paladins as well
it seems stupid to think about now but
it's like I can see it. I know exactly
what's going on. Like I've seen all
these debuffs man. I'm getting all cuz
I've got the standard raid frames. Like
so yeah you should healers you should be
using standard raid frames that's what
I'm saying. And this will make it much
easier for you with all these things and
they had to be nice to healers
because
they're also being horrible to healers
with this ping system because there's
some brilliant things about this ping
system. You can ping abilities to show
where they are in their cool down.
>> Very useful.
>> [ __ ] useful. If you're if you're a
tank and your mitigation is on cool down
and you know there's a big hit coming
you can ping that mitigation and
everyone will see that it's on cool down
and the healer knows to drop something
on you for that for that hit right and
that's that's great. Um
you know if if you can ping your big
damage as as someone who gives PI like
power infusion I want to know when my
DPS in a dungeon are hitting their
damage cool downs and if you ping that
when you hit it
and I've got PI up I'm going to put PI
on you right cuz like and I think And
really good there's like so many
like potential for that.
However,
one thing that they're definitely going
to cut, they're not going to keep this,
they're going to get rid of it because
people are going to like wrong.
Is pinging your health to let everyone
know what your health is.
>> That's fine.
>> No, it's not.
>> That
>> This is a healer's worst nightmare. Are
you [ __ ] kidding me? People pinging
their [ __ ] health. It's like, [ __ ]
I can see.
I can see. I'm a healer. I'm literally
looking at your raid frame your health
bar right now. It's all I look at. I'm a
healer. All I do is I sit here playing
[ __ ] Whac-A-Mole. IF THERE'S ONE
thing I'm aware of, if there's one thing
I'm aware of, it's how much [ __ ]
health you've got. Okay, I don't know
anything else. I don't know what I don't
know what casts are going off that need
interrupting. I don't know where the the
damage is, but I know what your health
is. You don't need to [ __ ] ping that.
>> Did you see Did you see that they are
also introducing a like a sound and a
ping that goes off when you miss an
interrupt?
>> Now, that's brilliant.
>> That's [ __ ] up.
>> That is the single best feature that has
ever happened.
>> I mean, they're going to be a little
icon that goes off over your head when
you miss an interrupt.
>> When you waste [laughter] your
interrupt, it's going to be like
That's SO EVIL.
>> THAT'S GOOD. THAT'S SO THAT'S SO EVIL.
>> BUT, I mean, it's really useful.
>> [laughter]
>> It's going to be so good. I can't wait.
And also,
>> That's so That's like
>> but also, it's just going to be going
off above prop paladin's heads all the
time. Every time they cast their shield
and it didn't interrupt someone, it's
going to be like
>> [laughter]
>> It's going to be so good. It's going to
have some
>> Oh, but I I think generally this ping
system sounds really good, but not the
health thing.
Not the health thing. Holy [ __ ] It's
going to be the worst. Oh my god, I
don't like it. I don't want it, but the
general idea and the functionality
behind it really cool and actually very
modern MMO feeling and
I like even the picture. Health 100%.
[ __ ] off. Get out of here. You're going
on block. You are going on block, my
friend. Ain't no [ __ ] way. And you
know what? I know exactly who in our
guild are going to use it all the time
as well.
>> [laughter]
>> Um but otherwise otherwise really cool.
Now, housing updates, this is really
exciting.
>> Yes.
>> And the most exciting thing about these
housing updates
isn't even in these updates, but it's an
implication, you know? So, first of all,
blueprints.
>> That's the first big
>> You'll be able to save strings for
individual rooms or entire houses.
You'll be able to obviously like save
your own rooms. Like I before you start
taking with them and you're like, "No,
I didn't like that." Or you'll be
>> Oh my god, so personally just being able
to save my rooms
>> Yeah.
>> and import them elsewhere, move them
around without losing them. Like
absolutely
>> And also you will be able to share
strings as well. So, housing creators,
all you people that make amazing builds
on YouTube, you're about to get so rich.
Like your patrons are about to [ __ ]
pop off. My goodness, join my patron and
you can get all of these strings. Yeah,
[ __ ] know it, mate. Brilliant. Now,
there is like a downside to this and
it's a downside that I've been
discussing with lots of housing creators
um in the build-up to this cuz we've
always known strings were coming a lot
sooner than I thought they were going to
come.
>> Yeah, same. I was not expecting them
>> Um really really cool. Um but
you know, something that
it doesn't outweigh the the pros of this
and I want to make that really clear.
Like yes, we've got to have strings.
Obviously, it makes sense. Got to have
strings. But like there is that thing of
like at the moment when you're going
around someone's house
you know they've done everything in that
house. You know it's all their own work.
You know they've they've placed it all,
they've sweated, they've spent hours and
it's impossible to make something
without spending hours and hours on it,
right? So, like there's something really
beautiful about that. And you're always
just going to be second-guessing that
from now on. When you're just touring
someone's house and you're looking at it
and you're like, "Wow, this is great.
You've done such a great job here." Or
did you? And it's just like it's not a
massive deal,
you know? There there are implications
if if you want to have like housing
competitions and stuff like that.
Absolutely there are.
But you know, generally in the grand
scheme of things it's not a big deal,
but I think it's worth pointing out
because it does it does undermine a
certain joy about if you are a housing
enjoyer and you're an other people's
houses enjoyer, like I am.
>> Mhm.
>> My enjoyment of other people's houses is
is going to be tempered.
>> Yeah.
>> And it is going to be less than it was
before because of this feature. And I I
I
it's not a big deal. I'm not saying we
shouldn't have strings. We obviously
should have strings and everything else
about it is brilliant. What do you think
about that?
>> Yeah, I I I think I I'm sad about the
kind of influx of like, you know, the
gold selling like player housing so
like, you know, I remember when player
housing started kicking off and all the,
you know, the kind of socials really
kicked off around it. Community started
building. And you'd got to get this one
account that would be me sharing all
these like builds and stuff and then you
realize that it's for like Sky coach or
something, you know?
>> and and like so those those websites are
scumbags anyway. [ __ ] hate them with
their shitty like AI thumbnails and
stuff.
>> Yeah, it's it's it's going to be nasty.
>> Well, you know what's going to happen?
>> Mhm.
>> Like someone awesome, like Eppy or or
Mego or someone, they're going to make
these amazing strings. And they're going
to make some of them like I either
they'll sell them on their Patreon or
whatever or they'll just give them away
cuz they're [ __ ] awesome people. And
these pieces of [ __ ] at like these gold
farming sites, these carry sites,
>> going to take
>> They're going to take the string.
They're going to change one thing. If
they even [ __ ] bother changing one
thing, they probably won't cuz they're
absolute dick bags.
>> Yeah.
>> And they'll they'll sell them as their
own strings. Like you have loads of
people sharing free strings with the
community cuz they're [ __ ] awesome.
They just love housing. They love the
community. And you have these absolute
[ __ ] dick bags are going to be taking
these strings and selling them because
they're scum. They're pieces of [ __ ]
>> really not um it's not ideal. So, that's
that's obviously a downside of of
blueprints.
>> Yeah, and it's going to feel dirty and
grubby right?
>> not be able to share them. You'll be
able to share them cross region, but not
with China.
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah.
>> Interesting.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Um, I wasn't planning on it, but
>> Well, I mean, you know, you never know.
Um, but yeah, so you'll be able to share
um yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> You'll be able to share
uh the entire house, inside and outside,
uh exterior or interior or just single
rooms, which is really cool.
>> And and also amazing is like there's
some cool UI elements where when you put
it in, if there's stuff that isn't that
you don't own or you don't have, uh it
will give you a list of the [ __ ] that
you do have and that you don't have. Uh
and like there's there's a whole UI for
this. It looks amazing. So good.
>> Yeah, there's and obviously, you know,
there might be items that yeah, that you
don't have. Uh yeah, it lists everything
that you do and don't have, how many
things you have, your your budget, your
room budgets, everything. Also,
uh oh, uh blueprints will have a report
button.
>> Oh, so if there's someone just makes a
big dick or something.
>> Well, or if someone steals your, you
know right?
>> I was thinking about big dicks. I still
think about the ring of glory.
>> Uh those things as well, that's also a
thing.
Um you can share them in chat,
obviously. Uh and a reset button is
coming. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
>> We want a reset button.
>> A reset button to just clear everything
out once
>> There's more specific housing stuff as
well, but we've got to fly through.
Otherwise, we won't have uh time for
questions. Um okay, this is the most
exciting thing.
>> Mhm.
>> And not even this, but the implications
of this.
The pet bed.
>> Yes.
>> So, this is coming way sooner than I
thought it was going to.
>> Yes.
>> You put the pet bed in your house, you
get to choose a pet from your battle pet
inventory or your companion inventory,
and it will sleep on the bed, but also
you can have it walk around your house.
>> That's pretty cute.
>> And it's going to be
in your house for a long time. A pet
will be walking around. Now,
first of all, we had a little bet about
this last night.
>> What was it about?
>> Yeah, you thought there would be one pet
per house.
>> Yes.
>> And I said I thought you'd be able to
have multiple pets per house.
>> Yeah, cuz all the images were like one
pet, one pet per house.
>> when you were asleep, Jesse Cox
did one of his awesome tweets.
>> Oh, hell yeah.
>> he was like, more stuff for housing,
right? So,
blueprints, pets, max house level is 12.
>> Oh.
>> And there are going to be large
exteriors. So, there is going to be an
increase in in decor limit as well
inside. It's going up to like 5,000
something at level 12, which is Oh my
god, thank you.
Dyes streamlined. There's a huge article
on dyes. We won't get into that right
now, but it's cool. It's really good.
>> Uh move the entry room anywhere in your
house. So, you can take the entry room
to like the third floor. You have
basements now. You have basements now.
There we go. Simple as that.
>> Oh, this is so good.
>> But, I did I did reply to I don't
usually do this with Jesse.
>> Mhm.
>> You know, cuz he's busy man.
But, I was like, can you settle a bet
between the two of us and confirm if we
will be able to have multiple wandering
pets in one house? Wouldn't usually ask,
but it's for a bet.
>> Uh-huh.
>> So, we do have an answer to this now.
>> Oh.
>> And the answer is
yeah, up to 10 can wander around inside
a house.
>> 10 pets.
>> Inside one house.
I hope the winner is happy and the loser
is pouting in the corner.
>> 10
pets in one house?
>> Yeah.
And I replied with a vague thank, I won
the bet. [laughter]
Uh so, 10 pets. There you go.
>> That's insane.
>> 10 pets running around. And like look,
man.
>> Wait, doesn't that mean you need you
need 10 beds?
>> Well, yeah. It's but it's just a piece
of decor.
>> Yeah, but like it's
>> Yeah, but you Yeah, but you would need a
bed for each one.
>> I'll have to like much like a real pet
owner will have to find somewhere to
like put it away.
>> What Yeah, yeah. Totally. Um but you
know, what what this means is they've
worked out the pathing, they've worked
out collision, they've worked out how to
make it like things that wander around
your house recognize that there's decor
and to avoid it.
But, it is exciting, but it's not
exciting cuz of the pets. That's going
to be lovely. I'm excited to have the
pets. Yay. But, we all know what the
actually exciting thing about this is,
right? Is we are now one step away
>> Yeah.
>> from having our own characters
>> Woohoo.
>> wandering through. You know, if this
trigger can be applied to a pet bed, it
can be applied to a normal bed,
and we can have our like obviously
there's it's a bit more complicated than
just having a pet because they're
already in your inventory. Your
characters aren't in your inventory,
they're in somewhere else like, but why
can't you attach one of your own
characters to a bed and have them
wandering the house?
>> And then you need a trigger where the
character that you are in the house as
doesn't appear.
So, you know,
>> Yeah.
>> it's like cuz you don't want to see
yourself running around there. That'd be
very strange. But you do want your main
wandering around there when people come
to visit or when you're there on an alt.
You want like, you know, if I'm there on
my warlock, I want my family my
priestess to be wandering around even
though I'm mostly in there with her and
you know, but like so okay, there's some
there's some finagling to do with that.
>> Yeah.
>> But we are now one, one and a half, two
steps maximum away from the thing that
literally everyone wants more than
anything, which is having our alts and
our characters running around the house.
>> Yeah. I mean
>> You don't seem as excited as me. What
the [ __ ] is wrong with you?
>> I'm I'm excited. I'm just skeptical. I
think it's a lot more complex than that.
>> You think it's Why?
>> Yeah, cuz your character your like
characters don't align with a pet which
is like a set entity with parameters and
>> like I say, that's that's like the pet
is in the is in the inventory. It is a
bit different, but we're still like I I
understood from what they've been saying
about this for months is that the the
big stumbling block for them was
pathing.
>> Yeah.
>> And and like it was like we just can't
work out yet how to do the pathing, how
to do like the collisions, stuff like
that. But if if they have now, which it
seems like they have, then boom.
>> Okay.
>> I'm just saying.
>> I'm just skeptical.
>> saying it's going to happen in like the
next patch or whatever,
>> pet bed.
>> [laughter]
>> I that that's that's just me. So, you
know, but yeah, but if it happens
>> god. Okay, so look, I'm going to be
honest with you. It'd be so good and
like I have this alt too in my house. We
talk about this a lot. I'm not going to
dwell on it, but you know, I like the
idea that if I were to die,
>> Mhm.
>> right? If I were to pass, my house is
still there in the guild neighborhood.
It'll be there until they get rid of it.
Um and people can come and visit my
house and see my main walking around the
house. And it'd be a nice way of kind of
like I know that if there was someone in
the guild that passed, I would actually
find it really lovely to be able to go
to their house and see their main
wandering around. And it'd make me feel
I don't know. It'd just make me feel
good.
>> Yeah.
>> it's really important and good and I
think it should happen. And anyway, I'm
getting excited about it. There's more
housing stuff as well.
>> Yes.
>> Uh oh,
what was I going to say about it? I've
forgotten.
Uh there wasn't a There's a really
exciting housing thing I've just
gotten.
>> Uh large exterior
>> there was something else though and I
can't It's actually like literally just
gone from my head really really quick.
>> Endeavors?
>> Uh oh yeah, there's going to be new
endeavors.
>> Four new endeavors?
>> Oh, there's four new endeavors, thank
god. Um we need that cuz like I'm I'm
done with all these endeavors now,
honestly. I just want some more. But
Ellie uh keyboard turner on on Blue Sky
had some really interesting data mine.
She I feel like she's best data miner
these days, right?
>> Amazing.
>> Um
and like aw, there's auto turulans,
guys. There's our baddie turulans.
>> Heck yeah.
>> From the raid, right?
>> them.
>> Yeah, uh look at all these snakes. Look
how many [ __ ] snakes there are.
>> Yeah, I'm delighted.
>> Yeah, there's there's yeah, so many Oh,
no, one of the turulans is a kid.
>> Aw, he's so cute.
>> Boo. Okay, but the
That was it.
>> look at this [ __ ] owl.
>> It's a mount. There's an owl mount.
>> Ridiculous.
>> It's got a tree on it.
>> Mhm.
>> It's still looks like a butt.
>> It's very story.
>> Do you like the look of public building?
>> What is that? [laughter]
No way.
>> know about you, but to me this looks
like
>> a guild hall.
>> No.
>> THIS LOOKS LIKE
>> NO.
>> I'M just saying.
>> Oh my god.
>> do you think?
>> Yes.
>> This looks like guild hall [ __ ]
>> 100% 1 million
percent.
>> Shared stable? Oh my god.
>> Yeah, look at this shared like just
public like
park space thing.
>> Please, that's insane.
>> Yeah, I'm again and there's hoard ones
as well.
>> I love that so much.
>> Same vibe.
>> Yes.
>> You know?
>> Yes.
Yes.
>> Isn't it cool? Uh so that's big, that's
like big big big for housing.
>> Absolutely huge.
>> Oh and she's actually worked out where
they would go in each neighborhood as
well. My god, Ellie's amazing.
>> Wow. Oh, it's where all like the
building sites are.
>> Yeah, where the building sites currently
are.
Um so
yeah, one day you're going to go into
your neighborhood and possibly
there'll be some cool community like
places which would be aha amazing.
And like loads of new deco.
>> Oh, I can't wait to really play with
>> look at this look at all this [ __ ]
shop deco, man.
>> Yeah. Oh.
>> Look at all this shop deco which is
definitely shop deco.
>> Very tiki.
>> Surfboards.
>> I love it.
>> Grills.
>> Yeah.
>> NEW OH.
>> OH.
>> FINALLY.
>> Spiral staircase blocks. Ooh.
>> Legos.
>> Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, we do we do just
want Legos that we can just plop
together, don't we? That's And so like
>> Legos and some other
>> Um honestly, I'm not even joking,
Keyboard Turner is the best follow on on
social media.
>> Absolutely. Do they Do they have night
elf exteriors for community buildings?
>> Uh no.
>> Okay.
We'll get there.
>> Not that not that I've seen.
>> there.
>> Uh but there's there's some cool [ __ ]
>> Wow. Wow. Okay, well, I cannot wait.
>> Yeah.
>> Cannot wait.
>> There's a There's a hat with a cat on
it.
That's got shop written all over it,
isn't it?
>> flash maybe just in China.
>> Oh yeah, possibly possibly. Lots of cats
with hats on. Oh no, wait a minute,
yeah. Uh well, no. Uh there's some that
don't hide hair.
>> Wow.
>> Now we I obviously the the new tier sets
are on the PTR.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh but we are recording a reaction to
those straight after this podcast and
we'll bring that as a video for the
weekend. So look out for that one, but
we won't be reacting to them now cuz
Abby hasn't seen them cuz
>> I can't have her being so excited about
the amazing
troll set yet.
>> Yes.
>> Yeah. There's more things we need to
talk about really quickly.
>> Yeah.
>> There is massive changes to end of game
gearing in patch 12.1. This is like hot
[ __ ] [ __ ]
>> really big.
>> Bonus rolls are sticking around, be
available in the vault straight away,
one a week you'll be getting as bonus
rolls. It's like just proper way of
getting guild uh
>> Perfect. I love them. Give them to me.
>> Yeah, uh and then you'll be able to get
extra ones starting week eight.
>> Yeah.
>> Um uh later on as well.
>> Raid rolls only one coin?
>> Don't mind if I do.
Uh raid rewards are buffed in the vault.
>> Wow.
>> So,
to kind of combat the fact that gearing
in mythic plus is like it's just so much
better vault-wise than raid, cuz you
know, you can just like pop tens and
your vault is full of mythic like mythic
mythic plus gear.
>> Mhm.
>> Um
in news that is going to be beautiful
and wonderful
to
heroic guilds in particular like ours,
like ahead of the curve guilds,
heroic vault slots from doing heroic
raid bosses will now reward the lowest
tier of mythic gear.
>> That's crazy.
>> Which is awesome.
>> That's insane.
>> So, like you you get your your eight
heroic bosses and you've got low level
which needs a bit of upgrading mythic
gear in your in your vault, which is
like
Uh for for ahead of the
ahead of the curve guild guilds, that is
massive. That is massive because like
there's been a lot of talking
>> been missing Yeah, you guys have always
been like you know, you do your heroics
and you get [ __ ] gear from the vault.
So, you just buff up with keys and then
you you're like, "Why am I doing
heroics?" Yeah, right? It's
>> Um a a a huge change to the catalyst as
well. And this is pretty I like this
even more than the uh the the vault
thing.
>> is a bit crazy, but it could be fun.
>> When you catalyze gear
into tier set token into tier gear, it
will keep the secondary stats that were
on the gear
>> Mhm.
>> that you So, like it won't change to the
secondary stats of the tier set. It's
like So, if if if there's gear out there
that is better secondary stats than the
tier set stuff,
>> Mhm.
>> then you want to be finding that beyond
the gear set beyond the tier set stuff,
right? Um and that's amazing. And And it
will keep any extra special effects on
it as well, which is amazing because
like holy [ __ ] it's so it's so [ __ ] if
you get like a belt or something that
has like a special raid effect on it and
you're like, well, not belt is a
terrible example cuz that's not tier,
but you know what I mean, like
and then you can you have to catalyze it
to get your four-set or whatever and
you're going to lose that effect and
it's like, well, is it better to have it
in tier or is it better to have it? No,
[ __ ] all that [ __ ] It's like, yeah, you
just want to get the best gear with the
best secondaries you can get and like
cool magic effects on them if you like
and then just catalyze that [ __ ] It's
going to keep all that stuff on it, but
it's also going to be tier.
>> Yes, it is.
>> I love it.
>> Very cool.
>> So good. Awesome for transmog, awesome
for gameplay.
>> Yeah.
>> Like I There's nothing I dislike about
any of this news. It's brilliant.
>> Mhm.
>> Uh the Ascendant Venom Stones, that's
what they're called now, Venom Stones
and Void Stones, uh which is the thing
that like increases the item level of
those things later in the season. Those
are coming back as well, but they're
going to work on necklaces as well as on
weapons and on rings. And that's great
as well, isn't it?
>> Yeah.
>> Awesome changes, like really really good
changes. Happy about that.
>> And loads of class changes as well. I
had a quick look through Hunter and
>> We're not going to go through the class
changes, uh but the general philosophy
of the class changes is that they uh in
a blue post they're saying that they
want to uh reduce the impact of of uh a
lot of damage cool downs. A lot of
classes right now feel like you're
basically just like pinching people for
a minute and a half
and then going absolutely crazy and I I
didn't think they'd get out of that
two-minute rotation so quickly. I'm
really glad they have.
>> Yeah, same.
>> Um I This is this is really really good
news. Like, it was probably right to
make the classes that straightforward
at the beginning of this expansion
because of the whole add-on situation,
but it's good to see that they clearly
are thinking about adding a bit more
depth and complexity to them in that
sense. And you can see that in the tier
set bonuses as well, by the way, but we
won't go into those right now.
>> Yeah. Um, but yeah, huge huge changes uh
coming to all classes. Go on the PTR,
have a quick look. Uh, all in their
notes. Delighted to see some changes to
Hunter and Marksmanship in particular.
>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah.
>> Woo.
>> Um, so that's that's beautiful. That's
just an awesome wonderful thing. Like,
so much Anything else I missed that you
saw kind
>> Uh,
that that seems to be Oh, there's a
Discord integration uh now coming uh
>> We thought that was going to be the
case, didn't we?
>> Yeah, yeah. So, I think part of this
kind of bit wider social initiative
where you'll be able to link your uh
guild chat with Discord chat. Uh, it
will be specifically linked to like one
channel on your Discord. So, don't fear
about all of like your spicy stuff, you
know,
>> Yeah.
>> being to pull directly into the WoW
client. But, it does raise some
questions around like, you know, if I
say [ __ ] on my Discord,
if it goes directly into what you know,
like I have to So, you know, just
just be mindful of your
Discord integrated
channel
uh that goes into guild chat. It's just,
you know,
just have to
>> Hadn't even thought, honestly.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, that's Oh, well, that's also good
There's something we've completely
forgotten, actually. There's actually a
B plot going on with Azshara.
>> Yes.
>> and uh like the hunt for Azshara and
stuff like that, which is great because
it like clearly that plot is taking uh a
back seat for this patch.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, and we're looking at some like there
might be some void kind of linking with
uh Xavius and stuff like that. But, uh
I'm really glad that they are still
staying in touch with that.
>> Mhm.
>> Um, and having the hunting for his
parents and Azshara and like presumably
leading into whatever 12.2 is going to
be, right? So, and I think that's
probably enough. Or do you think like
does this patch feel like too much of a
step away from the main line plot for
you?
>> No, I love it. Like I I loved Undermine.
I like I like a detour for a point one
patch. I think it's fun. I think it's
needed. I feel oversaturated with
purple. Like I just don't really want to
see Zul'jin for a little while. I'm okay
[100:01] not seeing her for a while. I want to
[100:03] focus on trolls. That would make me feel
[100:05] good.
[100:06] >> Yeah, definitely. The the Armani and
[100:09] devil looks good.
[100:09] >> Yeah.
[100:10] >> Man, holy [ __ ] Love me some trolls.
[100:13] >> Armani. Great and he's still a troll and
[100:15] he's still an Armani. I want my playable
[100:17] snake Armani.
[100:18] >> Yes.
[100:19] >> You know, I want my playable like new
[100:21] new allied race Zul'jin snake Armani.
[100:25] Look, I just want to I just want to go
[100:26] out there one one more time and say how
[100:27] in favor I am of Zul'jin staying as a
[100:29] snake.
[100:30] >> Okay.
[100:30] >> I I want him to be
[100:32] like a nice character who teams up with
[100:34] us now after this raid, but he's a snake
[100:35] forever now. And you know why that'd be
[100:37] so good from a storytelling point of
[100:38] view? Is because his whole motivation is
[100:41] he's like he's all about the Armani,
[100:43] right? And he's he's like essentially an
[100:45] Armani nationalist and he's like
[100:47] everyone else sucks. It's all about the
[100:49] Armani. Everything I'm doing, all this
[100:51] [ __ ] stuff I'm doing basically, it's all
[100:53] about the pride of the Armani. And so
[100:55] like not being an Armani anymore would
[100:58] actually kind of help him see the world
[100:59] from a different point of view and kind
[101:01] of like he's a snake now. So he's like
[101:03] yeah, seems kind of silly how like just
[101:05] I still love the Armani. It's still what
[101:06] I am.
[101:07] >> Yeah.
[101:07] >> But now I'm technically not one anymore.
[101:10] >> Yeah.
[101:10] >> I I just think it would be a really good
[101:11] window for him to kind of change his his
[101:13] viewpoint and stuff and like and to
[101:14] learn and evolve and literally see
[101:16] things from a different point of view
[101:17] and also shed his skin now and then.
[101:19] >> [laughter]
[101:20] >> And lay eggs.
[101:21] >> Oh, but that's like a
[101:22] >> If someone's sleeping, it's like be
[101:24] careful. Zul'jin's around. He will he'll
[101:25] swallow you.
[101:26] >> No, but it's a nice kind of like
[101:27] metaphorical like you know, shedding
[101:29] your skin.
[101:30] >> he he Exactly. Exactly. I I I haven't
[101:33] thought of this yet. They should cuz I
[101:34] think it's I think it's a very good
[101:36] metaphor. I think it's very cool. And
[101:37] also, we get to have a friend who's just
[101:39] a snake troll then, and I think that
[101:40] would be awesome. I just think that
[101:42] would be really good. I just think it
[101:44] would be great if it was a snake troll.
[101:46] >> Just like really rubbing it in the face
[101:48] of people who want playable like Amani
[101:50] body types and snakes.
[101:52] >> Yeah, yeah.
[101:53] You want this? None of this. If he if he
[101:55] had two heads like a troll like an ogre
[101:57] as well, it would be like, I'm just
[101:59] everything everyone's ever asked for but
[102:00] never got.
[102:01] >> [laughter]
[102:01] >> And already with the little snake tail
[102:03] that's basically like Naga.
[102:05] You know, it's
[102:06] >> [laughter]
[102:07] >> just taunting us. Just trolling us.
[102:09] >> Yeah, totally.
[102:09] >> As it were. Yeah.
[102:11] >> Brilliant. And we're going to have to do
[102:12] some questions. We're going to have to
[102:13] do some super chats.
[102:13] >> super chats now. Thank you guys. Thank
[102:15] you to everyone who
[102:17] dropped super chats. Thank you to
[102:19] everyone who has just been listening.
[102:22] Lovely lovely to see you guys. Our first
[102:23] one is up from Alexi Galaxy Moose
[102:26] Muscles.
[102:28] Do you think myth gear should be this
[102:29] easy to obtain? Bonus rolls and easy
[102:32] mythic plus when everyone had full myth
[102:33] gear and had a full set super early in
[102:36] the season. Hero raid giving myth track
[102:38] and vault is a good thing though.
[102:40] >> I think it's a good thing.
[102:41] >> I think it's a good thing.
[102:42] >> I I can only go by like my experience in
[102:45] the season. So, if other people have
[102:46] different experiences, let me know.
[102:49] But,
[102:50] you know, my big worry at the start of
[102:52] this season when everyone was like,
[102:53] "Wow, I love how quickly I'm getting
[102:54] gear. It feels so good. Yay." You know,
[102:57] I was being a bit of a party pooper and
[102:58] I was like, "Oh, I like it, too."
[103:00] But, my big worry is that obviously it's
[103:03] going to have an effect on the longevity
[103:04] of the season. Like, what about my
[103:05] guild? You know, my heroic guild. You
[103:07] know, we're going to blast through this
[103:09] [ __ ] and we did.
[103:11] And but
[103:12] in my experience anyway, my my worries
[103:14] have proven
[103:15] unfounded because actually, you know, we
[103:17] have pushed on into mythic. Actually,
[103:20] our raid season has lasted longer than
[103:21] any other season I can think of because
[103:23] of that. And I think the ease of access
[103:25] to the gear actually really helps that.
[103:27] So, at least in my experience,
[103:29] I was worried about the gear being too
[103:31] easy making me lose interest in the
[103:33] season sooner. But that hasn't happened.
[103:36] In fact, the opposite has happened. So,
[103:38] just from my point of view and what what
[103:40] my season would be like, I've kind of
[103:42] got to give credit to Blizz. They kind
[103:43] of They were right and I was wrong,
[103:45] maybe.
[103:46] They say that, you know,
[103:48] gear progression was a bit faster than
[103:49] they had intended, and they're looking
[103:51] at that for next season. But I I don't
[103:53] think it's had a negative impact on this
[103:54] season. Um certainly in my experience.
[103:57] Do you have a different view on that?
[103:58] >> I know, I mean, I I do not have a full
[104:00] set of myth gear
[104:01] to, you know, to be fair. I haven't
[104:03] really been pushing for it, but I do I
[104:05] do love how it is like accessible and
[104:08] acquirable now. You still have to work
[104:10] for it. And yeah, maybe it was a bit
[104:12] quick in the in the first season.
[104:13] Hopefully they have learned some things
[104:15] along the way. But it feels like they're
[104:17] still making it like relatively easy to
[104:20] access. I don't think that's a bad
[104:22] thing. I think that's a that's a good
[104:24] motivator.
[104:25] I like it.
[104:27] I'm in. I'm down.
[104:28] >> Sorry,
[104:28] people in the chat were just reminding
[104:30] us that snakes tend to have two penises.
[104:32] >> I don't I don't need to know that.
[104:34] >> All the more reason.
[104:35] >> I don't need to know this.
[104:36] >> All the more reason that this needs to
[104:37] happen.
[104:40] >> Um
[104:40] >> Where's Where's Where's Snakes will jam?
[104:43] Where's he gone? He's at the the Ring of
[104:44] Glory.
[104:45] >> Oh god.
[104:45] >> As usual.
[104:47] >> Um thank you for that one, Alexi Galaxy
[104:49] Moose Muscles. Next one is History Nerd
[104:51] Kevin, our beloved friend Demon Crat.
[104:54] Lovely, lovely, lovely to see you,
[104:55] friend. Thank you for tuning in, and I'm
[104:57] glad we could do this live at a time
[105:00] conducive to you.
[105:01] >> Yes.
[105:02] >> Thank you for joining the team. Love it.
[105:05] Um next one is 100% not Thunders. Lovely
[105:08] to see you, not Thunders. Also member of
[105:11] the team.
[105:12] >> love to Thunders if you see him.
[105:13] >> Yeah. I see you tried to do a cheeky
[105:15] early stream without me, but jokes on
[105:16] you. I had to stay up until the early
[105:18] hours to build my sister's PC.
[105:22] >> [laughter]
[105:22] >> Oh, well done. Sweet, man.
[105:23] >> What a dude. Much love from the fam, and
[105:25] so hyped for Wild Future. Yeah, same. I
[105:27] this patch announcement just like made
[105:28] me feel good.
[105:30] >> I liked it. I liked the vibe. I liked
[105:32] the approach. Um it it excited me a bit.
[105:36] That's all I can ask for these days.
[105:38] >> Yeah, totally, man. Look, dude, I'm
[105:40] hyped to be going to a a poison island.
[105:42] >> Yeah, poison island, huge housing
[105:44] changes. I'm really excited to see how
[105:45] the community is going to adapt to
[105:47] having blueprints that
[105:48] >> going to change the game.
[105:49] >> That's that's next level.
[105:51] >> it.
[105:51] >> Next level stuff. I love it. Um and
[105:54] another one from not Bundas. Uh oh, a
[105:56] question. Are we getting an Argus
[105:58] BlizzCon announcement instead of last
[106:00] Titan? This next patch doesn't feel end
[106:03] of expansion, at least not
[106:05] >> hope it's not. Uh no, you know we're
[106:07] going to go to the core way in
[106:09] uh in 12.2, right? And we're going to
[106:11] we're going to help defend the world
[106:12] soul against the the hordes of
[106:14] Xal'atath's like voidy people, right? Um
[106:19] and as long as we know that's what's
[106:21] happening
[106:23] uh before BlizzCon, they're they're free
[106:25] to announce. Hey, dude, it's happened
[106:27] before.
[106:29] Like it's it's happened before. They
[106:30] announced uh
[106:32] the N'Zoth patch in BFA.
[106:35] >> Mhm.
[106:36] >> And that [ __ ] was not out.
[106:37] You know? Like had they even announced
[106:39] it by the time they had to announce
[106:40] Shadowlands in BlizzCon?
[106:43] Cuz I remember Ion being up on the stage
[106:44] and being like, "Well, I don't want to
[106:45] give anything away, but
[106:48] you know, assuming that the heroes are
[106:50] victorious in their final battle,
[106:53] we're going to go into the next
[106:54] expansion." So, like there is kind of
[106:56] like a precedent there. Um you know, of
[106:59] being a patch ahead when the next
[107:01] expansion is announced. So, I I I I just
[107:03] can't see them not announcing Last Titan
[107:05] at at BlizzCon. I just can't see them
[107:07] not doing it.
[107:07] >> I know, me neither. I think I think it's
[107:09] definitely going to be at BlizzCon. They
[107:11] need a moment, right? They really they
[107:12] really need that even just for a
[107:14] marketing perspective. Like they need
[107:17] >> Yeah.
[107:17] >> They need the Last Titan moment.
[107:19] >> And everyone's talking about uh
[107:20] obviously project Camelot that got found
[107:21] in the data as well. So obviously mythic
[107:23] plus and I just like saying this cuz it
[107:25] blows people's mind every time I mention
[107:27] it. Okay, what does that have to do with
[107:29] Camelot? Um [laughter]
[107:30] Uh classic plus where um
[107:33] Like yeah, obviously it's classic plus.
[107:35] We all know it's classic plus. I don't
[107:37] think there's any meaning behind the
[107:39] code name Camelot. But if there were
[107:41] meaning, which I don't think there is,
[107:43] but if there were any meaning behind it
[107:45] I don't know, maybe they're playing with
[107:46] the idea of like chucking Arthas into
[107:49] classic plus.
[107:50] This blows everyone's mind every time I
[107:51] say it cuz it's something people don't
[107:53] register. But of course Arthas is named
[107:56] after King Arthur and based on King
[107:58] Arthur. That's why his name is Arthas.
[108:00] That's why his father figure in Warcraft
[108:02] 3
[108:03] is Uther, King Arthur's dad in the
[108:06] legend. And that's why he literally
[108:08] pulls a sword from the stone.
[108:10] I know it's very obvious for those who
[108:11] know, but every time I say it literally
[108:13] hundreds of people are like Oh [ __ ]
[108:17] AH!
[108:18] >> I LITERALLY HAD THAT REACTION.
[108:20] >> AND THERE'S A SWORD IN AZEROTH AS WELL,
[108:21] RIGHT? YEAH.
[108:22] Um and there is like you know, messing
[108:24] just doing his usual thing of like I'll
[108:26] change some of the names and not bother
[108:27] with some of the other names.
[108:29] Yeah,
[108:31] yeah, yeah. Um so uh
[108:33] Well, if one of the ways they're mixing
[108:35] it up in classic plus is to be like
[108:37] bring Arthas in. [ __ ] do that. Why
[108:38] not? I love money and that would make a
[108:41] good billion pounds. So let's get Arthas
[108:43] in there. Let's do it. Um
[108:44] >> $1 million email.
[108:45] >> Yeah, yeah.
[108:46] >> Uh yeah,
[108:48] fingers crossed. Uh next one is from
[108:50] Maxen. Um can we have reforging back? I
[108:54] hate having to chase this for correct
[108:55] stats. Feels like they removed it to
[108:57] increase retention. Using the mount or
[108:59] going to the vendor to change all your
[109:00] pieces wasn't hard.
[109:02] I feel like there's so much ease of
[109:04] access now.
[109:05] >> sorry. I hate reforging.
[109:06] >> I don't really want to see reforging
[109:09] back because I
[109:10] >> Oh sorry, which one is Merlin? Medivh?
[109:12] >> Yeah.
[109:12] >> Medivh is a is a Merlin like standing,
[109:14] yeah.
[109:15] >> Yeah.
[109:15] >> Sorry, carry on.
[109:17] >> [laughter]
[109:18] >> Yeah, I'm okay with that having
[109:19] reforging back personally. Like I I
[109:22] still need some element of like
[109:23] randomness to stats and gear, otherwise
[109:25] it starts to feel too
[109:27] too easy, if that makes sense.
[109:29] >> Mhm.
[109:30] >> That's just me.
[109:31] >> Yeah, I'm I I I don't care about easy or
[109:32] hard. I I hated reforging in um in Mists
[109:35] of Pandaria. I [ __ ] hated everything
[109:37] about it. I disliked it. It was dumb.
[109:40] Because like you're still going for
[109:42] the gear that has your actual best stats
[109:44] on it because you can make the stats
[109:46] even better then. And like the gear that
[109:48] doesn't have your best stats on it is
[109:50] still never even with reforging is never
[109:51] as good as the gear that doesn't have
[109:52] your best stats on it.
[109:53] >> Mhm.
[109:54] >> So, you're still always like but it's
[109:55] just so finicky and there's so much
[109:57] other gear from other places now and
[109:58] like I I'm not saying you're wrong for
[110:00] wanting it. Yeah, you and I like I don't
[110:02] know if you get it. I hope you really
[110:03] disappoint you for the rest of your life
[110:04] cuz I hate it.
[110:06] >> [laughter]
[110:08] >> Yes.
[110:09] Uh and next one uh thank you for that
[110:11] one uh Maxin. Another one from Maxin.
[110:13] Lovely. Thank you. Thank you. Member of
[110:14] the team. Uh what do you think the next
[110:17] 100 days from Microsoft might mean for
[110:20] wow uh regarding the layoff situation?
[110:23] There's more devs in QA. Bell probably
[110:25] has a video on it soon, if not already.
[110:27] >> Mhm. Yeah, well, I mean [clears throat]
[110:28] >> I don't know.
[110:29] >> No one ever wants to hear it, but like
[110:31] it's capitalism.
[110:32] >> Yeah.
[110:33] >> Like we live in a an economic system
[110:34] where literally doesn't matter if you
[110:36] make good work or not. Like
[110:39] uh you could make the most successful
[110:41] game in the world. You might get closed
[110:42] down tomorrow.
[110:43] >> Yeah, it's true.
[110:44] >> Like you could be doing the best job you
[110:45] you like of any human on earth and they
[110:47] might
[110:47] >> Like literally the coolest [ __ ]
[110:48] >> They might be replaced with some shitty
[110:49] AI that does it rubbish because it's
[110:51] much cheaper than you. Except it's not,
[110:53] but they think it might be later. Um and
[110:55] like, you know, we live in an economic
[110:57] system where,
[110:59] you know, the people that own the things
[111:01] we love aren't the people that make the
[111:03] things we love and care about the things
[111:04] we love. It's people shareholders who
[111:07] it's just numbers on a [ __ ] graph to
[111:09] them. They don't care. You know, like we
[111:11] live in a system which isn't built
[111:14] towards making good art, towards making
[111:16] good video games, towards making good
[111:18] films. Sometimes we're lucky and we get
[111:20] those things anyway, but the system
[111:22] isn't built to make good things. Yeah,
[111:24] like, the system is like built to for
[111:27] shareholders to go, "I need a bit more
[111:29] money for this quarter." Like, who can
[111:30] we fire? Who can we sack? Like, that's
[111:32] it, right? So, it doesn't matter if Wow
[111:34] is good, it doesn't matter if Wow is
[111:36] bad, it doesn't matter if Wow is making
[111:38] loads of money. Although, you have to
[111:40] imagine it would be more likely to be
[111:41] okay if it was, but they could just get
[111:43] up the team at any time. That's just the
[111:45] system we live under. And if you think
[111:47] about it too much, you'll become a
[111:48] communist.
[111:51] >> God forbid.
[111:51] >> Maybe you should.
[111:53] >> [laughter]
[111:57] >> Uh next one is up from history nerd
[111:59] Kevin. Uh thank you so much. Hey Tinny,
[112:01] it's your friendly neighborhood Democrat
[112:03] here.
[112:04] Making the podcast live for the first
[112:06] time. We love it. How goes the roof
[112:08] repair? Can't wait to see you at
[112:09] BlizzCon.
[112:10] >> What was the second
[112:10] >> Uh for the second, can't wait to see you
[112:12] at BlizzCon. But yeah, our roof
[112:14] situation keeps getting pushed back
[112:16] because it keeps raining in Wales. Who
[112:18] knew?
[112:19] >> It's kind of one of the reasons we need
[112:20] a roof, really.
[112:21] >> [laughter]
[112:22] >> Our new funny our new funny house thing
[112:24] is that because, like, you know, we were
[112:26] going to get the gutters changed when
[112:28] they changed the roof cuz they need a
[112:29] bit of work. Um the roof isn't
[112:31] happening, so the gutters are leaking
[112:32] everywhere. And doing so, one of them is
[112:34] leaking like directly over our front
[112:36] door, which is like a 100-year-old
[112:38] wooden door. And so, it's like
[112:40] completely swelled up, and I literally
[112:43] am unable to open the door from the
[112:44] inside. I literally cannot I am a
[112:47] prisoner in my own home. Tally is the
[112:49] only one Yeah, Tally is the only one who
[112:52] can physically op- like heave open the
[112:55] front door.
[112:56] Um so, that's fun.
[112:59] >> [laughter]
[112:59] >> I love it.
[113:00] >> Yeah.
[113:01] >> Yeah, I love it.
[113:02] >> But it's good it's good that the work's
[113:03] been put back a bit cuz it's time to
[113:05] apply for more credit cards so we can
[113:06] actually pay for [laughter] it.
[113:07] >> Just sell more feet pics.
[113:09] >> Yeah, yeah, totally.
[113:10] >> You know,
[113:11] I'll just get my Let my nails grow a
[113:12] little longer.
[113:13] >> [laughter]
[113:15] >> And, you know, do that. Um no, but yeah,
[113:17] I can't wait to see you two at BlizzCon.
[113:19] That's going to be so good.
[113:21] Not Not too long away. Uh and we'll have
[113:24] news on like that and like the Weekly
[113:25] Reset live coming soon as well, too. So,
[113:28] keep your ears t- open and your eyes
[113:30] peeled. Uh next one is from Maxin. Oh,
[113:33] neat. Didn't notice this perk for 1
[113:34] month sub. Exactly. He's been a
[113:36] dedicated cat girl head now,
[113:39] and Maxin gifting 10 10 teeny
[113:43] memberships.
[113:44] >> Oh, that's awesome. Thank you, friend.
[113:48] >> Congrats to all you guys
[113:49] who have
[113:49] >> Exactly.
[113:50] >> Congrats to all you guys who have uh
[113:52] received uh the perks of having a teeny
[113:55] membership, which includes all kinds of
[113:57] fun things like emotes and and goodies
[113:59] and uh and all that. So, thank you. We
[114:02] love it. We love to see it. Um next one
[114:06] is up from uh Simon CB. Uh thank you so
[114:11] much for the super chat. I'm going to
[114:12] BlizzCon for the first time. Yay. I've
[114:14] got somewhere to stay 1 hour away. Is it
[114:17] worth getting a hotel near BlizzCon the
[114:18] night Saturday? Uh So, um given that
[114:22] it's Anna It's uh Anaheim. It's Los
[114:25] Angeles. You're going to be dealing with
[114:27] a lot of traffic and a lot of very busy
[114:29] roads. Um
[114:32] I would say
[114:34] Yeah, if you want to depending on how
[114:36] much time you want to spend in an Uber
[114:38] >> If it's feasible for you, I would
[114:40] recommend it.
[114:41] >> Yeah.
[114:41] >> Like but I wouldn't I wouldn't like, you
[114:43] know, clear yourself out to do it.
[114:45] >> No, exactly.
[114:46] >> You know, as long as you're in the area,
[114:47] you'll be fine. Obviously, it's nicer to
[114:49] be really near and it's not just the the
[114:51] Marriott and the Hilton around there.
[114:53] There's lots of other hotels just around
[114:54] the corner and stuff. Like that tiny
[114:55] place we stayed in for
[114:58] Fan Fest. It was great.
[115:00] Uh but I I never forget, of course, we
[115:02] we do have the weekly reset live coming
[115:03] up. They tried to triple the cost of the
[115:06] room.
[115:06] >> Oh my
[115:07] >> for hiring. So, it looked like we might
[115:09] not be doing the weekly reset live for a
[115:10] moment. But, we managed to negotiate
[115:12] them down to only doubling the price of
[115:13] the room. So, it looks like we are going
[115:14] to do it now.
[115:16] >> Yeah, we're we're we're just nailing in
[115:18] the final
[115:20] nails into the
[115:23] metaphor is gone. Yeah, we're almost
[115:25] there. We're almost there.
[115:27] >> Just think of the items in the hot
[115:28] teens right?
[115:29] >> Yeah, exactly. We'll be able to like
[115:30] release tickets and stuff soon. And
[115:33] we'll do that kind of for friends and
[115:35] patrons first. And
[115:37] and then
[115:38] >> need to book for that, but the tickets
[115:39] will be free.
[115:40] >> Are they?
[115:41] >> Well, they usually are.
[115:42] I know it's quite expensive this year.
[115:44] Maybe not. Okay, maybe we'll have like a
[115:45] normal Maybe we'll have like a normal
[115:47] something like a dollar or two dollars
[115:48] or something. Okay,
[115:52] Okay, sorry. Sorry. Oh my god, sorry.
[115:55] >> Man, anyway.
[115:57] Um, yeah, so more more news about that.
[115:59] But, thank you for that one, Simon. And
[116:02] I hope you enjoy your first Blitz Con.
[116:03] It's a good one. Yay. Uh, Maxin, again,
[116:06] if you are sharing a string with items
[116:08] you don't have, will it do like a little
[116:10] outline to see when in placement mode
[116:12] where to put the items when you get it?
[116:14] >> It most certainly will.
[116:15] >> Will it?
[116:16] >> Uh, well, an outline. Oh,
[116:17] >> Like showing you where they should go.
[116:19] >> The technology is there.
[116:21] >> I think what it probably would do is
[116:23] like it would import what you have.
[116:25] Um, and then if you need to import it
[116:27] again, presumably it would kind of layer
[116:29] those onto. I don't know. I feel I
[116:31] didn't I didn't see any kind of like,
[116:33] you know, precise placement outlines.
[116:35] >> No, on on the UI pictures.
[116:37] >> to the player housing team for sure cuz
[116:39] that would be really really useful.
[116:42] Um,
[116:43] yeah, tally all the scroll there. But,
[116:44] yeah, thank you, Maxin, for that one.
[116:46] But, definitely something that would be
[116:47] super handy for importing strings.
[116:50] >> Yeah, cuz when you when you're like like
[116:52] there is the ability in the UI to place
[116:54] items that you don't have,
[116:57] you [snorts] know, and they they got
[116:58] appear as a ghost outline, don't they,
[116:59] in your house? You can like you can see
[117:01] things like
[117:02] from anything in the catalog you put in
[117:04] there even if you don't have it and see
[117:05] what it looks like. So, yeah, it doesn't
[117:07] seem like a massive jump to be doing
[117:08] that with strings, is it?
[117:09] >> Yeah. Hopefully we could do that. Uh
[117:11] next one is from J- Joe you love. Thank
[117:14] you, Joe. Kadgar's magic floating ball
[117:16] in your house. Yes. 100%.
[117:18] >> Oh, [ __ ] Yeah, I mean you actually she
[117:20] could.
[117:21] >> Yeah. Yeah.
[117:21] >> Yeah, so it's a pet, isn't it?
[117:22] >> And I'll stick HIM IN THERE.
[117:23] >> OH, THAT'S SO
[117:26] OKAY, NOW I'M NOW I'm super excited,
[117:28] okay?
[117:28] >> Yeah, the the the possibilities.
[117:30] >> Oh, you Okay, you've you've just made me
[117:31] way more excited about that that pet
[117:34] thing. That's awesome, yeah.
[117:35] >> [laughter]
[117:35] >> Uh next one is uh NomNom Noms Gaming.
[117:38] The little squire? Yeah, a little
[117:40] squire. Yeah, so many toys.
[117:41] >> squire? Wonder
[117:43] like Oh my god.
[117:45] That's a good one, yeah. Okay, no,
[117:46] right.
[117:47] >> Uh next one is from NomNomNom Gaming. Uh
[117:49] thank you so much. Y'all the homies.
[117:50] Thanks for always keeping me up with the
[117:51] lore. Aw, thank you. Thanks for being
[117:54] here. Really appreciate it. Glad we
[117:55] could be of service. Yeah.
[117:57] >> Yeah.
[117:57] >> Forever. Um next one from uh HistoryNerd
[118:01] Kevin. Is it just me or does everyone
[118:03] else instantly forget where the onion
[118:04] folio is located once you do the intro
[118:06] crust line?
[118:07] >> But you don't need it.
[118:08] >> It is out of the way. No, you need to go
[118:09] there for the quests.
[118:10] >> Oh, yeah.
[118:10] >> You need to go there for the quests. And
[118:12] also to say hi to Rum Rum Umbrah cuz you
[118:15] love him so much. Rum Umbrah. Umbrah. Um
[118:18] they uh yeah, it is it is like you have
[118:20] to
[118:21] >> are sexy as well. We we did the intro to
[118:23] our our weekly reset and they're all
[118:24] like, you know, they're swingers and
[118:26] they're doing sexy stuff. Uh which you
[118:28] know, we thought we were exaggerating,
[118:29] but you do those quests, it's not
[118:30] exaggerating. That's that's literally
[118:32] what they're like in those in those
[118:33] quests. Everything's so sexy.
[118:35] Maybe it's just me, but that's how I
[118:36] felt.
[118:37] >> [laughter]
[118:38] >> Uh next one is from Rico the Orc. Lovely
[118:40] to see you, Rico. Hey Tally, hey Abby.
[118:42] Cheers and love right back at you.
[118:44] Backwards super chat reminder. Was
[118:46] really happy to be back with the raid
[118:47] team and healing yesterday.
[118:48] >> my butt, mate. We needed you as well, my
[118:49] goodness.
[118:52] >> Um yeah, Rico, I saw you flying through
[118:54] Silvermoon like yesterday a couple days
[118:56] ago and it was so very obviously Rico
[118:59] cuz there's no other orc.
[119:01] It looks like him. I love it. Love it.
[119:04] And then finally last one is from
[119:06] Lord Corzore. Thank you so much for the
[119:08] super chat. I would love to see Worgen
[119:10] have their tails. Yes or no? Free
[119:12] market.
[119:14] Worgen tails, why not?
[119:15] >> Yeah,
[119:16] goes without saying.
[119:18] Worgen tails
[119:20] >> Yeah.
[119:20] >> like and all the other [ __ ]
[119:21] >> Yeah.
[119:21] >> Do it. Make it happen. Yeah.
[119:23] >> Yes.
[119:24] >> So I just want to bring up like words
[119:25] really interesting idea in the in the
[119:27] chat. Re-blueprints.
[119:29] >> Yeah.
[119:29] >> My idea is that chain blueprints is
[119:32] in-game only via vellum. So it comes
[119:35] like an inscription thing. And you can
[119:36] make a chain of ownership. So it's like
[119:38] you'd you'd have to it would be
[119:40] literally something you could get on the
[119:41] auction house.
[119:42] >> Oh.
[119:44] >> Like huge implications like what am I
[119:45] actually buying here? I guess. But
[119:48] probably wouldn't work. But maybe you
[119:50] could adapt that into something that
[119:52] would. I don't know. I'm all I'm all up
[119:54] for hearing ideas about this.
[119:58] >> it's literally just a code you copy and
[120:00] paste.
[120:01] >> scheme of things like I say my my
[120:03] hang-ups about it don't matter. It's not
[120:05] enough for me to go we shouldn't have
[120:06] codes. Like obviously we should have
[120:07] codes. They're they're great.
[120:09] >> Yeah.
[120:09] >> But I yeah it does make me a bit sad
[120:11] that and especially with housing
[120:12] competitions and stuff like that.
[120:14] >> the kind of I think the community kind
[120:16] of like regulates itself. I think it
[120:18] would you know if you saw someone just
[120:20] rock up and do a whole copy paste job
[120:23] for a competition I think
[120:25] like what what would would they get out
[120:26] of that? You know? Yeah.
[120:28] Anyway, um there's been a lot to go
[120:31] through today. We've just about managed
[120:32] it. Haven't covered everything but we
[120:34] have covered most things from the 12.1
[120:38] announcement. What do you guys think?
[120:40] Are you pumped? Are you psyched? Are you
[120:42] hyped? Are you not those things? Let us
[120:47] know.
[120:47] >> What do you Evie overall?
[120:49] >> I'm I feel really good. I just feel
[120:50] positive.
[120:51] >> Oh, me too.
[120:52] >> I just have a positive feeling and
[120:54] that's like all that's all I can ask
[120:56] for.
[120:56] >> I just think it looks like a good old
[120:58] romp.
[120:58] >> I'm ready. Yeah, exactly.
[121:00] >> You know what I'm like, yeah.
[121:01] >> Yeah, I'm ready for a good old troll
[121:03] romp. Venom, snakes.
[121:05] Uh a bit of, you know, delving.
[121:07] >> Honestly, I like wow.
[121:09] >> Yeah.
[121:09] >> And just doing all my wow stuff in green
[121:12] instead of purple for a bit. That's it,
[121:14] really, isn't it? It's good.
[121:15] >> I know.
[121:15] >> I'm happy.
[121:16] >> Yeah.
[121:16] >> I love some of the changes as well. I'm
[121:17] pretty excited about the housing stuff.
[121:18] Super excited about like the gearing
[121:20] stuff.
[121:21] Uh and we haven't even got on to class
[121:22] changes, tier sets.
[121:23] >> Oh.
[121:24] >> Have yourself a shower, have a little
[121:26] coffee, have a snooze.
[121:27] >> Hard at
[121:28] >> 5 minutes and we'll be coming back.
[121:30] >> Yes.
[121:30] >> And we'll be recording our tier set uh
[121:32] video which maybe, fingers crossed, we
[121:35] can even get out tonight. But certainly
[121:36] we'll be coming out tomorrow.
[121:37] >> Oh, that would be the dream.
[121:38] >> assuming all the videos worked. Uh do
[121:41] you see the 12.2 info that sits in 12.1
[121:42] data mining? No, but I'm going to go and
[121:43] look at it right now.
[121:45] >> Hell yeah.
[121:45] >> Okay, thank you for joining us on
[121:47] YouTube for the live recording or if
[121:48] you're watching the vod later on, thank
[121:50] you for joining us on Twitch. Uh even
[121:52] though we don't respond to everything
[121:53] that you write in the chat there, we do
[121:54] see it. We've got a lovely shared chat
[121:55] here where we see it all and we do see
[121:57] every sub that comes through and every
[121:58] comment. And we love you. Thank you.
[122:00] Thank you to everyone listening on your
[122:01] preferred podcast listening platforms.
[122:03] You matter, too. And don't let anyone
[122:05] tell you that you don't.
[122:07] >> Yeah.
[122:07] >> Ignore them.
[122:09] Become a snake.
[122:11] Shed your skin.
[122:13] It's important. From me, Taliesin.
[122:15] >> And me, Evitel.
[122:16] >> Until next time.
[122:16] >> Bye.
[122:17] >> See you all.
