[0:00] Hey folks, this is Khani. Patch 1207 [0:03] goes live on June 16th, and it's shaping [0:05] up to be quite a large patch with a lot [0:07] of content to look forward to. We have [0:09] some new mini zones to explore with [0:11] openw world difficulty options that let [0:13] solo players obtain myth track gear. [0:16] There are new ways to get your hands on [0:18] myth crests without doing any group [0:20] content. There's a brand new one boss [0:22] raids that drops significantly higher [0:24] item level loot. The Omnium Folio system [0:27] will provide some large power boosts [0:29] that will persist through the rest of [0:30] the Midnight expansion, and we have a [0:32] bunch of new story content to look [0:34] forward to. The Turbulent Timewise event [0:36] returns with all new rewards. There are [0:38] various updates to the user interface. [0:40] Some systems were made much more player [0:42] friendly, and leveling your alts will be [0:44] much faster when the patch goes live. [0:47] This patch is jam-packed with new [0:49] gameplay options and gear catch-ups. So, [0:51] let's go over everything coming in patch [0:53] 1207. Now, before we jump in, be sure to [0:56] hit up that like button and subscribe so [0:57] you never miss another video. First up, [1:00] patch 1207 introduces or reintroduces [1:04] two new minis for us to explore. We'll [1:06] be venturing back to Val and Nigel, but [1:09] this time we'll be spending a lot more [1:10] time here completing quests and farming [1:13] currencies. Almost every activity in [1:15] these new zones will reward you with [1:17] field accolades, including completing [1:19] world quests, killing rares, and looting [1:21] treasures. Each rare you kill also has a [1:24] chance to drop warbound champion gear. [1:26] So, if you have any alts that you still [1:28] need to gear up, that might help out a [1:29] bit there. Both zones also have a new [1:32] world boss to take down, which can drop [1:34] warbound champion gear on normal mode or [1:36] heroic gear on heroic mode. Killing the [1:39] world bosses also rewards you with a big [1:41] chunk of field accolades. So, these [1:43] zones will make it very easy to catch up [1:45] on gear or get any of your alts up to [1:47] speed ready for season two. There are [1:50] also a whole bunch of cosmetic rewards [1:51] to pick up, including new mounts, pets, [1:54] and transmog, and plenty of achievements [1:57] for you to complete. Now, all of these [1:59] rewards are significantly increased if [2:01] you enter the zones on heroic mode. [2:04] Whenever you use a portal to the new [2:05] zones, you'll get a delveike screen that [2:07] lets you pick a difficulty. So, you can [2:10] head in on normal mode or heroic mode. [2:12] On heroic mode, you'll be earning far [2:14] more field accolades from every source. [2:16] rares can drop four of six champion gear [2:19] instead of one of six, and the world [2:21] bosses will drop warbound hero gear. So, [2:23] it's definitely worth upping difficulty [2:25] if you can handle the heroic mode. This [2:28] is the first time that we've seen [2:29] difficulty options for the open world [2:31] outside of a remix event. So, I am very [2:34] interested to see how the dev team [2:36] expands upon this idea in the future. [2:38] Maybe we'll eventually have difficulty [2:40] options for every midnight zone like how [2:43] Legion Remix worked. Or maybe difficulty [2:45] options for the new zone coming in patch [2:47] 12.1. But we'll just have to wait and [2:50] see how this little experiment goes. I [2:52] guess it's not just additional field [2:55] accolade farming, though. In heroic [2:57] mode, you can also pick up a quest that [2:59] rewards you with a myth track piece of [3:01] gear. You can choose between a cloak, a [3:03] belt, or braces. The quest requires you [3:06] to kill the new world bosses four times [3:08] on heroic mode, which means it could [3:10] take up to four weeks to finish this [3:12] quest, but this is the only source of [3:14] myth track gear available to solo [3:16] content players. So, it's definitely [3:18] worth completing. The weekly quest to [3:20] take part in the new zones activities [3:22] has better rewards on heroic mode 2, [3:24] including some myth quests. So, that's [3:27] another source of myth crests for solo [3:29] content players. That doesn't mean that [3:31] the extra field accolades will be [3:33] useless, though. will have some new ways [3:35] to spend this currency. In 1207, you'll [3:38] now be able to buy hero gear boxes for [3:40] specific gear slots. So, you can target [3:42] helms, shoulders, cloaks, whatever item [3:44] you actually still need. Those gear slot [3:47] boxes will cost you a bit more, though. [3:49] They're currently slated for 750 field [3:52] accolades, which does make them quite [3:54] pricey. The increased field accolade [3:56] rewards from the new zones, especially [3:58] on heroic world tier, should more than [4:00] make up for that increase, though. You [4:02] can also buy warbound champion gear for [4:05] specific gear slots as well. So, not [4:07] only can you target specific items here, [4:09] but you can then send those boxes to [4:11] your alts to help them gear up much [4:13] faster. Those boxes will cost you 100 [4:15] field accolades each. We'll also have [4:18] some new ways to spend dark particles. [4:20] The cosmetic vendor has some bulging [4:22] bags that you can purchase that contain [4:24] specific transmogs that have been quite [4:27] annoying to pick up so far. So you can [4:29] target Twilight bags, Naga bags, Ammani [4:32] bags, and Elven bags to try and narrow [4:34] down your options to earn the transmogs [4:36] that you're most interested in. [4:38] Curiously, there are some similar [4:40] transmog focused bulging bags available [4:43] from vendors in the new zones that offer [4:45] up ethereal and winter themed transmog [4:47] options, but those ones will cost 250 [4:51] field accolades each, making them [4:53] significantly more expensive when [4:54] compared to the dark particle boxes. [4:57] Still, if you want to hunt down some [4:58] specific transmog unlocks, these bags [5:00] give you a way to target things more [5:02] specifically. So, if you're interested [5:04] in any of these new bags or boxes, I [5:07] would hold on to your field accolades [5:08] and dark particles until the patch goes [5:11] live. Patch 1207 also introduces the [5:14] Omnium Folio feature. This is a new [5:17] talent tree style system that unlocks [5:19] after a short story quest. Upon [5:21] completion, you'll unlock the Omnium [5:23] Folio and earn your first talent point. [5:26] You get to choose between two different [5:28] core rune powers. Void touched orbs [5:30] gives you an extra boost of damage or [5:31] healing every 10 seconds, so that seems [5:34] more consistent. And then unleashed fire [5:36] is just a chance to deal extra damage or [5:38] healing. So that seems more RNG based. [5:41] It looks like we'll earn a new point [5:43] every week, which lets you progress [5:45] through the tree. After four weeks, we [5:47] should have the whole thing unlocked. If [5:49] you're curious what some of the other [5:50] powers in this tree can do, the second [5:52] row provides you with some extra healing [5:54] and defensive options. The third row [5:56] gives you some extra healing or damage [5:58] overtime effects when your core rune [6:00] procs. The fourth row gives you some [6:02] secondary stats whenever your core rune [6:04] activates. And then the last row [6:06] improves your core rune effect, the [6:08] overtime effects or gives your runes a [6:10] damage accumulation effect. So, as the [6:13] weeks go by, you'll be able to unlock [6:15] new powers that provide passive bonuses [6:17] to your damage and healing. And while [6:19] they may not be the most exciting thing [6:21] in the world, those passive increases [6:23] should help you achieve any end of [6:25] season goals you may be struggling with. [6:27] Now, what's really interesting about [6:29] this feature is that unlike previous 7 [6:32] patch power boosts like the Cersei [6:33] Cirlet Ring and the Titan belt, this one [6:36] is going to stick around for much [6:37] longer. In the preview blue post for [6:40] this specific feature, the dev team [6:42] notes that these rune powers will be [6:44] available to players throughout the rest [6:45] of the Midnight expansion. So, this [6:48] isn't a quick power spike to finish up [6:50] season 1 before it gets deactivated. [6:52] These runes will provide some passive [6:54] bonuses for the rest of the expansion, [6:56] which means we might also see some new [6:58] options added in future patches to keep [7:00] things interesting. Either way, the [7:02] Omnium Folio will definitely be at the [7:05] top of every player's to-do list when [7:07] this patch goes live. It's not just gear [7:10] catch-ups and passive bonuses in this [7:12] patch. Will also have a brand new raid [7:14] to plunder with some of the best rewards [7:17] available in the season. Sporefall is a [7:19] new one boss raid in Harendar. And if [7:21] you can overcome the challenges of Rott [7:23] Meer, you can walk away with up to item [7:26] level 298 gear. That's the same item [7:29] level as fully upgraded Myth Track gear [7:31] with an ascendant void core boost. So, [7:33] you actually can't get most of these [7:35] gear slots at this high of an item level [7:38] outside of this raid, making it some of [7:40] the best gear available for the rest of [7:42] the season. Of course, every other [7:44] difficulty will have a high item level [7:46] when compared to similar difficulty or [7:48] gear track rewards. So, it is still [7:50] worth doing even if you aren't heading [7:52] into mythic mode. This new raid is also [7:55] the first time we'll have a flexible [7:57] mythic difficulty. So you can take 15 to [7:59] 25 players into mythic and the fight [8:02] will adapt to your player count just [8:04] like normal and heroic do. It will be [8:06] interesting to see if this leads to more [8:08] mythic kills overall and it should make [8:10] pugging the boss a bit easier as well. [8:13] As an extra incentive to get folks into [8:15] the new raid, we'll have a special quest [8:17] to take down Rott Meer on any difficulty [8:19] that rewards you with a nebulous void [8:21] core bonus roll. So you can pick up an [8:23] extra bonus roll if there are still some [8:25] items that you need to roll on. Now solo [8:28] content players will have some more [8:29] updates to look forward to as well. [8:31] Starting with a new difficulty for [8:32] ritual sites. Tier six will offer [8:35] greater challenges and even better [8:36] rewards, including five myth crests at [8:39] the end of every run. You can still [8:41] complete as many ritual sites as often [8:43] as you want. So this provides you with [8:45] an infinitely farmable source of myth [8:48] crests. This is the first time solo [8:50] content players have access to farmable [8:53] myth crests, which will let you upgrade [8:55] your spark crafted gear much faster than [8:57] before. Every 80 crests you can earn can [8:59] be turned into another piece of 285 [9:01] crafted gear. With the current spark [9:04] count at around 14, that means you can [9:06] make seven pieces of gear, which is [9:08] almost half of your gear slots. You can [9:10] also boost the item level of a crafted [9:12] weapon using the ascendant void cores, [9:14] so easily farmable myth crests open up a [9:17] lot of very easy gear upgrades. This may [9:20] be the highest item levels that solo [9:23] content players have ever been able to [9:24] obtain in any season so far, which will [9:27] make the transition into season 2 quite [9:30] interesting. You'll still be earning [9:32] hero crests, which can help fuel gear [9:34] upgrades or can be traded up to myth [9:36] crests eventually, and field accolades [9:38] to buy specific pieces of gear to fill [9:40] in your gear slots. If you need another [9:42] reason to take on this new difficulty, [9:44] there's also a quest that rewards you [9:45] with a nebulous voyor bonus role for [9:48] completing tier six ritual sites. We [9:51] also have quite a lot of story content [9:53] in this patch, including the start of a [9:55] new main story campaign that sets the [9:57] stage for patch 12.1. With the initial [10:00] threat of the void well quelled for now, [10:02] the Harendar invite members of the [10:04] various factions of midnight to a [10:05] special ceremony. But during the [10:07] ceremony, the history of the Ammani [10:09] trolls is brought into question, and the [10:12] real history of the Ammani might not [10:14] quite line up with their own teachings. [10:16] You'll join Zuljan as they try to [10:18] uncover the mysteries of the past and [10:20] the dangers lurking just beyond the [10:22] coasts of Zoran. We'll also have some [10:25] new lawalking adventures to work through [10:27] that focus on the lower and key events [10:29] surrounding them. You'll get to learn [10:31] about some of the most iconic lower in [10:33] troll history and how they shaped the [10:35] different troll tribes. With the next [10:37] patch most likely being very troll [10:38] ccentric, this new law walking story is [10:41] a great chance to brush up on your troll [10:43] lore to get the most out of the new [10:44] story content coming our way. As an [10:47] extra bonus, the law walking screen has [10:48] had a facelift and it looks much better [10:50] overall, which is always nice to see. [10:54] The turbulent timeways event will be [10:56] returning, giving us backto-back time [10:57] walking for 6 weeks if the PTR calendar [11:00] holds accurate. That does mean we might [11:02] not see every available expansion this [11:04] time around, but we will see the [11:06] addition of dragonfly dungeons and [11:08] rewards, including new mounts, transmog [11:11] sets, toys, pets, and reputation [11:13] commendations for the dragonfly renowned [11:15] factions. So, if you never got around to [11:17] finishing those off, that should be much [11:20] easier with the dragonfly time walking [11:22] vendor goodies. You can also pick up any [11:24] of the previous turbulent timeways event [11:26] mounts that you may have missed, like [11:27] the Timely Busby or Chronoc Corsair. The [11:30] turbulent time wise event is also still [11:32] a great time to level up any alts you [11:34] haven't gotten around to yet, thanks to [11:36] the stacking experience buff that caps [11:38] out at 30% bonus experience gains. As [11:41] you complete time walking dungeons, you [11:43] can also work towards the master of the [11:45] turbulent time waste 5 achievement, [11:47] which requires you to obtain the mastery [11:49] of time waste buff for four weeks of the [11:51] event, which is one less week than it [11:54] used to be. To get that buff, you just [11:55] need to run a few timeing dungeons each [11:58] week, which is super easy to complete. [12:00] That achievement rewards you with the [12:01] spawner via an mount, which is very cool [12:04] indeed, and not just cuz it's covered in [12:06] icicles. So, there are some unique [12:08] rewards on offer this time around. [12:10] During the event, the weekly time [12:12] walking quests will reward heroic gear [12:14] caches instead of champion gear caches, [12:17] which will give you one last chance to [12:18] get some very easy heroic gear for all [12:21] of your characters, which will make [12:22] gearing up your alts much faster as [12:24] well. [12:25] It's not just the turbulent time weights [12:27] event that will speed up leveling. This [12:29] patch also makes some significant [12:31] adjustments to the experience rewards [12:33] from one time or weekly quests. Delve [12:36] first time completion quests now reward [12:38] over 140,000 experience each, almost [12:42] double what they used to reward. So that [12:44] will help you shave off an extra level [12:46] if you complete them all before you hit [12:47] level 90. Weekly event quests from the [12:50] major renowned factions now reward over [12:52] a 100,000 experience each. And this [12:54] includes the leveling weekly quest in [12:56] Silver Moon. Prey hunts now also reward [12:58] over a 100,000 experience while leveling [13:01] up. So they're actually worth [13:02] considering now. And the experience [13:04] rewarded from dungeon quests has been [13:06] massively increased, too. So, all in [13:08] all, if you are doing any of these [13:10] activities while leveling up, you should [13:12] level significantly faster in patch [13:14] 1207, and the bonus experience bust from [13:17] the turbulent timeways event will just [13:19] speed things up further. There are also [13:22] a few housing updates to look forward [13:23] to. Lighting will now be available [13:25] outdoors, so you can add lights to your [13:27] exterior plot to brighten things up a [13:29] bit. And then the exterior decor limits [13:32] for houses level 5 to seven have been [13:34] raised up to 300 and 350. So you'll have [13:37] some extra budget to add in some lights [13:39] even if you've maxed out your exterior [13:41] limit before the patch goes live. [13:43] There's also a bunch of new common decor [13:45] available from the neighborhood vendors. [13:48] We also have a handful of important UI [13:50] updates coming with this patch. Most [13:52] notably for the personal resource [13:54] display. You'll be able to change the [13:56] overall size, width, and height of the [13:58] health and power bars. the padding [14:00] between the bars, opacity, and [14:02] visibility. The health and power bars [14:04] can be hidden individually. You can [14:05] tinker about with the class resource [14:07] bar. There are new options to show class [14:09] colors or bar text. And the personal [14:11] resource display has been updated with [14:14] some new art. So, you might be able to [14:16] play around with the default personal [14:17] resource display and make something that [14:20] suits your needs. And then there's a [14:22] huge quality of life change coming for [14:25] the abundance world event. You can now [14:27] spend multiple shards of Dund done at [14:29] once, which multiplies your rewards by [14:31] how many shards you use at a time. So [14:33] you don't have to do eight runs per week [14:35] per character anymore. You can get all [14:37] of your rewards from your weekly eight [14:39] shards with just one run, which will [14:41] speed up your alloyed abundance farming [14:43] quite significantly. This is an amazing [14:46] change, though I do think it could have [14:48] been added in much sooner, and arguably [14:50] should have been the way the system [14:52] worked from day one. But I guess it's [14:54] still better late than never. and [14:56] farming for your epic profession tools [14:58] should be much much easier with this [15:00] change in place. But that's everything [15:02] coming in patch 1207 on June 16th. So [15:06] that's it for this video. As you can [15:08] see, it's a pretty beefy patch with a [15:10] whole suite of changes from new content, [15:12] plenty of catch-up opportunities, and [15:14] some quality of life updates to boot. [15:17] What do you think of the new content [15:18] coming our way? And what are you most [15:20] looking forward to? Leave all your [15:22] thoughts in the comments section below.
