[00:00] We got a brand new cast of X-Men. Stranger Things and Spider-Man brand new day star Sadie Sink will be reprising her role as Jean Grey. We've got Kit Conner from Netflix's Heartstopper as Scott Summers Cyclops.
[00:13] Christopher Abbott, most popular for his role in HBO's Girls, will play Professor Charles Xavier. Stage actress Maya Boyd will play Storm. Ready or Not star and Margot Robbie lookalike Samara Weaving will play Emma Frost.
[00:26] Obsession star and soon to be Best Actress Oscar nominee, if you ask me. and De Navarrete will play Rogue, and then this guy by the name of Adam Driver from those little space movies you might have heard of, he will be playing Nathaniel Essex, aka Nathaniel Milbury,
[00:41] aka Mr. Sinister. Now, Sinister, he's one of the X-Men's most disturbing villains. He's essentially a Victorian-era geneticist who became obsessed with manipulating evolution, particularly the
[00:53] evolution of mutants. He wants to understand and ultimately control the process that produces his powerful mutant abilities. Very similar to what we saw the DODC getting up to in Spider-Man
[01:05] Brand New Day. So this obsession with mutation is why the X-Men are so important to Sinister. He is particularly interested in Cyclops and Jean Grey, who it would appear are going to be the
[01:17] leads of this new X-Men film. Sinister is so interested in Jean and Scott because their genetic material represents an extraordinarily powerful combination, and this leads to one of Sinister's most, well, sinister contributions to the X-Men saga. The manipulation of the Summers
[01:33] and Grey Bloodline for generations, leading to the creation of Cable. So with everything that was set up in Spider-Man Brand New Day, with Gene and Damage Control and their cruel experimentation on mutants, this is all perfectly teeing up Sinister and his role as the MCU X-Men's first big bad.
