[00:02] 2025. That's my advice to you, and the first thing I see people commenting on many videos is, "I'm not ready." And I want to [00:14] tell you something very interesting: YouTube—you, YouTube— is you. It's strange to say this, but YouTube wasn't created for professionals, for people who make films, who are professionals [00:29] films, who are professionals in creating videos for the internet. YouTube was created for you to be yourself, you understand? Of course, I'm not saying you should talk about everything that's on your mind, but you have to get rid of this idea that [00:43] you're not ready. And for those people, I believe most of them are perfectionists, or think they are. Because for me, perfectionism is a mistake. People who go down that path are making a mistake. [00:58] And there's a very interesting book that I believe you perfectionists, who spend months editing videos or procrastinate to avoid starting to create content on the internet, should read: "The Art of [01:13] Imperfection." People have to understand that they will only truly achieve perfection, or perfectionism. Okay, I'll even leave 10 seconds because I'm very embarrassed. 10 seconds of a [01:28] video from my first video that I posted on YouTube in 2010, not 2011. Hey guys, we're on my first video on the on the channel. So today I'm going to explain how to [01:45] channel. So today I'm going to explain how to download Minecraft, it doesn't matter if it's version 1.8.1, mine is version 1.8.1. So this is my first video, I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't know, you [02:00] what I'm going to do, I don't know, you can yell at me all you want, I know. Oh, can yell at me all you want, I know. Oh, okay, let's [02:13] was very embarrassed, even though it didn't show, you know? Like, I was just recording the screen there, but I think it's very interesting because creating content for YouTube completely changed my life. I made some notes here [02:28] won't have any edits besides these edits that I make here, putting my video cool. I was 11 years old at the time, but I went back to producing [02:41] created this channel that you're watching. Let's go! In 2020, during the pandemic, to document my entrepreneurial journey, I was selling MDF boards. I'd stick the boards on the wall, you know, those little frames that I didn't paint myself; [02:56] I'd go to a print shop, print the artwork, stick it on that little piece of wood, you know, that MDF, and sell them. So that was my first venture. Then I decided to create a YouTube channel to document my journey, and man, it was [03:09] something surprising, really surprising, because over time I because over time I ended up generating a lot of influence. A lot of important thing, but it happens, you know? You have to talk about the [03:23] good things, right? In the meantime, people believe what I say, not necessarily believe it, but they take it into consideration. Because, Gabriel has been working with this, doing that, and so on. A lot of people know him, and so [03:36] on. So you end up generating influence by producing content, right? In my case, I generated influence, I gained a lot of knowledge, which I think is the knowledge, not only by producing content but also by [03:50] consuming content. For those who produce content here on YouTube, making videos, we end up consuming a lot of videos from other creators, so... For me, this is the most interesting part. I've been doing this for a long [04:03] content, I was already consuming a lot. So, for those who consume too, because you already have a skill—I'll touch on this subject later—but you already have an understanding of how [04:16] people produce content. Just consuming... Another thing that financial life. Because when I sold my MNF comics, I sold them for my MNF comics, I sold them for R$10, R$15. I wasn't [04:29] Today I can't consider myself a multimillionaire or anything, nor do I want to be, you know? It's not that I don't want to, it's just that it's not my focus. We'll talk about that in this video too. But it changed, right? My [04:43] creating and producing content on YouTube. And contacts too, because, whether you like it or not, it's a small group. It may seem like there are many people, but there are very few people who produce content for the internet, and [04:58] even more so if you're niche, like... What I mean by niche, well, I don't know, I produce business content, so I'm going to meet people who talk about business, talk about YouTube and stuff, right? So, in short, my life changed [05:11] completely in 4 years. Okay, I created my first channel back in 2011, but it really started to YouTube as a company, as a business, as something that wasn't like a square, you business, as something that wasn't like a square, you know, like a closed company, no, no, no, no, it [05:26] wasn't that, but as something that I should really dedicate that I should really dedicate my time to, focus on. Okay, third thing, when we produce content on the internet, when we make videos, [05:39] we develop many skills. Okay, I even mentioned some here, but I think especially if you're going to make channels where you appear, not necessarily your face, but you speak, right? Even something [05:52] I've been doing lately to further improve my communication further improve my communication is reading books aloud, and besides, I'm not just doing this for videos, I'm also doing it [06:04] because it's very, very interesting, because I know that when I have my children I'll want to teach them, I'll want to read to them so they can learn along with me, so I already... I'm practicing this skill so that [06:18] teach them, but at the same time it also helps me to speak to you all. So I read like this: "Oh, there's nothing too long here for me to read, look at the video title here: 'Some advice: Start a YouTube channel in 2025, something very good [06:32] way to improve my communication and also to bring And there are many comments where people praise my communication. We've been together since 2011 making videos. Remember the video I showed at the beginning? It [06:45] was like that, right? Then I made a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of videos, I got good, I got good. It took me a while to discover that I got good at communication, I think I had to wait for people to comment to [06:57] we also learn producing content is storytelling. That's right, people, is storytelling. That's right, people, people in life, life, the world is like that. We pass on knowledge and teachings through storytelling, through [07:12] stories, you understand? And when, let's suppose, you start a video telling a story, the person... If the hook of this story is good, the person will want to watch until the end of that story. So, I have [07:25] many stories to tell here; I'm even taking a course just on storytelling, there are some books too, but because I have so many stories and I don't necessarily know how to bring them to you in a [07:38] more professional way, not that it needs to be, because when you timing of the story, right? You go there and, "Wow, back in 2011 I created this channel, and my so a timing, right? Normally, we know how to tell stories; we're used to [07:53] knowledge from generation to generation orally, through stories, tales, and so on. So it's very common. video editing. Like, this video I 'm making for you won't have much [08:08] making haven't had editing. So you'll learn to edit videos if you make videos that need editing. Okay, I've already made many videos that need editing, especially on this channel and several others. Also, [08:21] this skill is really good, man. You can really transform, you ca n't just open Premiere or CapCut, the editing software, and start editing. But you have the understanding that you can convey information to people [08:36] in a way that they understand. It might seem complicated, but when video, sometimes I'm already thinking about how I'm going to edit it. Not now, because I'm not recording videos to edit anymore, right? But you know you [08:48] 'll be able to pass that information on to the person, and you can create new things. Without editing skills, you might have a really cool idea, but you don't know how you're going to do it, you do n't know how to edit videos, you don't know how to do anything. [09:01] So, by learning to edit, you can create things and convey those is scriptwriting. I've never been very good at scriptwriting, I've never been one to create scripts. I've always liked to say what comes to my mind. Look at my script here, my [09:16] have one that I've already told you, right? I'm not ready, so perfectionism is a mistake. Show a scene from the first video. YouTube wasn't created for professionals, hence point [09:31] two, Bullet Point 2, right? My life changed completely, and here it is: influence, knowledge, money, contacts, etc. Now we're on point three, skills development, communication, styling, editing, scriptwriting. [09:47] Bullet points: my script here, okay? So we developed invaluable skills that we wouldn't develop in other situations. Why? Because when we create a YouTube channel and we're motivated, but mainly [10:03] focused on it, we'll develop skills naturally because every day necessarily every day, but every week—learning something understand? You don't know how to edit videos? Then you'll have to learn how to edit, [10:18] like, not even edit, do that After Effects thing. No, no, that's it. But just being able to open Premiere, or download Premiere, or put the video in cap cut, or add subtitles, you're already learning new things and it will help a [10:32] lot, okay? Oh, I forgot to mention at the end of the video, I'm going to give a tip here on how to start, okay? I forgot to mention this end, it's another thing. Things we also learn, right? But I forgot, life goes on. [10:48] also learn, right? But I forgot, life goes on. Four. Don't create a channel thinking about the end. What would the end be? Normally people... This one is really cool, man. This one took me a while to learn. When we start something, we [11:01] will provide for us. We always think about the future, like, "Wow, I'm going to create a YouTube channel to be famous, to get followers, to make money." That's wrong, that's wrong. This doesn't even work for a [11:15] YouTube channel. This is for life. If you do something thinking, "Oh, I'm going to make money," it's money. "Oh, I'm going to create a YouTube channel to get a lot of followers." You probably won't get many followers. You have to [11:28] many followers. You have to reformulate. I have an example, man. I have a training that's about cutting channels, okay? And it's not about YouTube, it's about a type of YouTube channel that you can create on YouTube, on TikTok, and [11:40] vice versa. But I created this YouTube channel not to focus on money, okay? I didn't create it to focus on money. I created this channel to acquire more [11:53] knowledge, to bring this knowledge to the students of the University of... knowledge to the students of the University of... I became a millionaire, okay? I'm saying I made money, but [12:09] making money, it would likely have taken me longer to make the money, or I might not have made it at all. It's crazy, very complex to understand, but focus on the now, understand your now. There's a very good book, also very complex [12:25] to understand, called "The Power of Now," focus on the now. What I'm doing now is recording a video. I'm not bad, if it will get likes, engagement, or comments. I'm [12:38] bring information, help, you know, for the people who aren't starting a channel, you know, there are several points there, like, I don't know, the person is a perfectionist. So, for the perfectionists, here I'm going to recommend this book: "You can't be a [12:51] perfectionist, YouTube you, you, so you have to be you, understand?" I'm I made this video thinking about views, likes, comments, and shares, it's very likely that the video would have... Another approach, [13:04] another stop, and it wouldn't get views. It might seem complex to understand, but trust me, don't create a your life thinking about an end result, you understand? Think about something more lasting, like, I don't know, like [13:20] a YouTube channel here, a channel to gain more knowledge, to bring this knowledge to my students." It's much more, much cooler than just, "Oh, I'm making this channel to make [13:35] this channel to improve my communication." Wow, that's much cooler, man! And that's how you keep improving, improving, improving, and it goes on and on. "I'm about stories, to improve my storytelling skills, for this, for that, for that," man. [13:49] Consequently, you'll make money, you'll get views. " to help people." I used to be someone who had a lot of difficulty teaching people how to edit videos in a simpler way. Wow, there are so many [14:03] reasons why you have... There must be a book, I haven't read that book, but it's "Start with Why," it's on my list, I'll read it. It probably makes sense with this thing I talked about in the fourth point, which is: don't create your channel [14:16] thinking about the end. Fifth point: this one is cool. YouTube is easier nowadays. Well, I even made a video that says in 2025 YouTube will turn on easy mode, and I kind of controversial because I say that [14:30] YouTube used to be much harder, so if you're interested in knowing why, look for one of my latest videos on my channel: "In 2025 YouTube will turn on easy mode," and I explain it. But anyway, what happens nowadays, I do [14:43] n't know if it's the same for you, but for me, a lot of videos from small creators appear. Man, there are people with 1000 subscribers who appear on my 1000 subscribers who appear on my YouTube homepage, but I click, I click not [14:56] only because I'm interested, but to see... wow, man, YouTube is recommending videos from people who don't even have 1000 followers, who don't even have five videos, who post one video. That's it, man. Dude, this is a huge [15:10] change on YouTube, you have to take advantage of it, man. You go back to the other your video appear on the YouTube homepage, people are like, "Oh, content because now it's easy." No, but like, take advantage, my friend, take advantage of the fact that [15:27] take advantage, my friend, take advantage of the fact that now it's easy, you understand? I'm not saying it's the easiest thing in the world, okay? But damn, this used to in the world, okay? But damn, this used to happen, man, it was difficult, huh? It's [15:40] difficult. Sixth point, so we can go to the other one here, which is like the beginning, sixth point: you will never regret this [15:52] this choice. It's the same as you, like I regret not having started on YouTube, just like you regret not having bought Bitcoin back in the day. It's the same thing, it's the same thing. [16:06] Like, there are people who sometimes even created a one of my regrets, having producing content, especially on this channel here, at various times, you know? There are several [16:18] sun on the car window, but now I think... Okay, so car window, but now I think... Okay, so the phone's already nice and cool, so trust me, you'll never regret it. You'll regret it if you stop producing [16:31] content and if you get canceled like a monarch, you know? But I think that's very unlikely to happen. Okay, now let's get to the final point of this video, which is how I start, right? What I suggest to people, or how I would [16:46] start, is always by modeling. Modeling, what is modeling? It's consuming what is modeling? It's consuming content from people you admire, okay? guy's type of content," let's say you like the way Gabriel records, so I'm [17:00] going to record the way he records, like in a " [ __ ] it" mode, right? Which before producing content, we think about everything, but without type of editing, sometimes I'll model the subject, I don't know, I want to talk [17:16] about neuroscience, an example that comes to mind, so I'll start consuming neuroscience and see how they consume it, how they produce the content, then you start consuming that type of content and... No, it's [17:30] not it. You'll always bring your own personality when we model, when we consume content on the internet. It's to collect ideas, video ideas, ideas on how to produce your video. I'm not telling [17:46] you to copy the guy you're admiring, you know, the one in a cool way." Like, there was a time when I created a YouTube channel called "Os I created a YouTube channel called "Os Curiosos" back in 2015, and it was because I [17:59] really liked the channel, you know? I don't know if you know it, a huge channel, one Brazil, and so I started producing content similar to theirs, you know? their content, I like curiosities, I like this, I like that, I'm going to write my [18:14] scripts here and I'm going to produce." So, for me, that's the best start. You don't necessarily need to buy an editing course, buy the best camera, no, no, no, that's it. You're already going to the first point, which is, "I'm not [18:28] ready," perfectionism. No, no, that's not the focus here. There was a guy who commented on one of my videos saying that... It took me six months to produce a piece of content, a [18:40] web documentary, and I thought, "Wow, man!" Then the guy goes and posts the video, gets 100 views, and that's it. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it's very likely to [18:54] happen. To reach the level of spending months producing content, you produce at least one a month, not one every six months, but anyway, going back to modeling, right? 10, look at [19:08] here is that I see many people modeling things from the past. You'll see videos of people making videos from 5 years ago, 6 years ago... Back in the day, I saw people in 6 years ago... Back in the day, I saw people in 2024, 2025 making videos similar to the [19:21] people who made videos back in 2024, and I don't know how long ago... well, it's different. If you're going to model someone, model someone who's currently making videos a month ago, two months ago, a week ago, or even just a few days ago. Like, the idea I got for this [19:34] video, I think not even two weeks ago, you know? I took the same idea, the same format. I was even thinking of using the same title because his title was so good, so good. Look at the original title, I'll tell you the original title here: " [19:49] If I were you, I'd start a YouTube channel in 2025." If I remembered the title: "If I were you, I'd start a channel in 2025." I changed it, didn't I? I think it's going to be this: "Here's some advice: start a YouTube channel in 2025. Something [20:04] really good is about to happen." It's different, but the same idea. I do in that video. Okay, but it's okay, I took ideas. I didn't... I didn't even need to watch the guy's video to get the idea, you understand? This is a [20:17] modeling idea, okay? And it got views, right? First we see, "Oh, it views." The guy's video is 30 minutes long. I thought, "No, interesting, I'll bring it to my channel." The people who consume my YouTube channel like it, [20:31] right? So I think it will make sense. Okay, another thing, how do I start? The best way is to teach something you like and have knowledge of. It's in my... [20:43] when... like this... and look, you don't need to be a PhD, just be curious. I'll give an example of when I started. Let's get practical. Man, I'm not, I wasn't and still am not a very successful millionaire businessman who has several companies. I [20:59] wasn't a kid, you understand? A kid who made videos, and I wasn't there necessarily wanting to teach people. I wanted to document, and I knew that at the same time that I documented my life, I would teach [21:14] things. Like, I'll give an example, I made a video talking about MVP, so besides... " Look, what a cool video!" it was a video talking about how... There's so much to talk about before I get to what I need to say. Okay, so I had a situation where I [21:27] wanted to open a tapioca shop. And I needed to create an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). So I talked about everything I learned about MVPs, the theory, and put it into practice in my tapioca shop. So I was teaching people, but I wasn't a PhD, I wasn't [21:43] a super-savvy businessman, I wasn't anything like that, but I was always there wanting to teach, you know? Like, not with this one, I was trying to teach like, "Hey guys, open a book," etc. document my life, and at the same time, I knew that as a bonus, I would teach [21:57] some people about entrepreneurship. So for me, that's the best way: to teach people. Back in the day, people talked a lot about YouTube titles, right? The best title to start on [22:10] YouTube is " How to create a YouTube channel," "How to make a brigadeiro," "How to run ads," " How to start with paid traffic," "How to start a YouTube channel," "How to," " How to," teaching people, right? I'm not [22:25] telling you to use this, this word, okay? Model, see what people are using, using it much. I think people continue... Using "how to," you know, but first, model the idea, see if it makes sense. Where you're not just going around saying, "Oh, [22:38] how do you do this, how do you do that?" But in short, the best way is to in short, the best way is to teach. In my opinion, entertainment person, you want to entertain people, let them do what you want, you [22:54] do something that makes people laugh, so you're not necessarily going to be someone... But for me, as a teacher, I think the focus of the people who produce content, who want to teach, is to be a teacher. We want to [23:07] be teachers, because in Brazil, we have a lot, but it's very difficult, education—in the word, difficult—it's very outdated. That's why there are many people on the internet today who teach [23:22] many people, have millions of followers, and earn a lot of money because there's a market. People are ignorant, you understand? Because our education is garbage, it's not education, it's indoctrination. In college, it [23:35] 's the same thing. Then it's left to us here, we learn in practice and bring this knowledge to people. So I think it's a great way. I dark channels and authorial channels. An authorial channel, like this one where I'm [23:49] appearing and talking, is when you appear on a dark channel. You don't need to appear on a dark channel. You don't need to appear on camera, and it's a great option for those who are shy about appearing on camera because I know there are people who are [24:02] shy and don't want to appear, but still want to create a YouTube channel. So I advise you to create a dark channel, a channel where you don't need to appear, and there are various niches and tastes. [24:17] You probably consume some type of dark channel. I'll give you an example: the "cut" channel, which is what I teach in the first link in the description of the University of CES. It's a type of "cut" channel, a type of dark channel. Basically, you don't [24:31] moments of other people who participate in podcasts, live streams, and so on. what do you achieve with a dark channel? You first start to understand how the YouTube mechanism or other platforms work, the [24:46] algorithm, the attention span, what attracts people's attention, which title caught their attention, which person caught their attention—you have metrics, and at the same time, you can do... There's a lot of money there, I think it's very interesting. So, for you who [24:58] about appearing on camera, but you're not ashamed of your voice, you can make scripted videos, you know, you appear on camera, you do the research to create that script, and then you go there, record your audio, do the editing, you can follow [25:12] say YouTube is wonderful, man, YouTube is the king of platforms, it lets us create, lets us be ourselves, people can grow on YouTube by being themselves, right? By being themselves, that's magnificent. You'll see the [25:26] old channels, like Felipe Neto's. In the beginning, it was Felipe Neto, it was him, man, he was being himself there with sunglasses saying "it doesn't make sense," sunglasses saying "it doesn't make sense," right? It was him, he managed to grow, and [25:39] several other YouTubers too, most of them, to tell the truth, we are, we are, we are, we are. Now, to finish, because I think this is already too long, I only have one regret about creating a [25:55] YouTube channel: stopping producing content. Me, several times, several moments when I stopped producing content here because I was dark channel of mine, which I think makes sense, but I stopped producing [26:10] content for other people, for my clients, so the only thing I regret is that. Okay, but I don't regret it 100%, because all the knowledge I acquired providing services to other people I can [26:26] use for myself nowadays. I learned a lot, guys.
