## Summary

Patch 12.0.7 for World of Warcraft introduces two new zones, heroic world difficulty, unlimited myth crests for solo players, and the Omnium Folio power system. The patch also includes a new world boss raid, story content, housing updates, and UI improvements.

### Key Points

- **Two New Zones** [00:02] — Val and Ny'al are mini zones accessed via a portal in Void Storm, rotating every few days. They feature world quests, rares, treasures, and world bosses rewarding field accolades and gear.
- **Heroic World Difficulty** [03:11] — Zones can be entered on normal or heroic mode (open world). Heroic mode unlocked by achievement 'Heroic Tendencies' (kill both world bosses). Likely harder mobs and better rewards.
- **Tier 6 Ritual Sites** [04:31] — New difficulty with 6 challenges active. Rewards 5 myth crests per run, no cap, allowing solo players to farm myth crests unlimitedly.
- **Omnium Folio** [06:11] — A new temporary power system: a mini talent tree with passive bonuses. Unlock a row each week. Choices include void orbs, unleashed fire, defensive options, and stat boosts.
- **New World Boss Raid** [08:10] — Fight Rot Myer in Spore Fall. Loot has random stats and is war-bound, potentially including mythic war-bound gear. Quest rewards a nebulous void core.
- **Story and Housing Updates** [09:30] — New campaign about Zul'Aman, lore walking with Li Li, Turbulent Timeways event with Dragonflight dungeons, housing exterior lighting and decor, UI improvements for damage meters and resource display.

### Conclusion

Patch 12.0.7 offers significant content for solo players with unlimited myth crests and heroic world difficulty, while the Omnium Folio provides passive power growth. The new zones and raid add variety, though the power system lacks active engagement.

## Transcript

just hit the public test realms. So, we have our first look at the next content update for World of Warcraft. We'll have two new zones to explore, different difficulty options for the open world like world tiers from Legion Remix, new
ways to gear up, and solo content players will be able to earn as many myth crests as they want. There's a new temporary power system called the Omnium Folio, a bunch of new story content to explore, as well as some updates like
housing and the user interface. So, let's go over the major features coming in patch 1207 and how it's shaping up so far. Now, before we jump in, be sure to hit on that like button and subscribe so you never miss another video.
First things first, we're going to have two new zones to explore in patch 1207. These zones tie into the void assaults from patch 1205. Fending off the void forces as they invade our world just isn't good enough. So, we've tracked
down some key bases in the frozen wastelands of Val and the fungal forests of Ny'al. These two mini zones pop up on the void storm map, which makes sense because the only way to get to them is from a new portal in void storm. We'll
only have access to one of these zones at a time, and it's going to rotate every few days. So, I imagine the first half of the week we'll have Val, and then the second half we'll have Ny'al or something like that. We can't get to
Ny'al just yet on the PTR, but Val seems to be pretty fleshed out. I've seen a lot of players already liken these zones to the Legion assaults when we took the fight to the Legion to try to take out key leaders of the invading
forces, but these zones are more involved than that. It's not just a one-and-done hop through a portal, kill a boss, and move on type of deal. You'll be spending a lot more time in these zones, especially if you're still trying
to gear up. Each zone is going to have multiple world quests that have a very familiar reward. Each one you complete will earn you 10 field accolades. There are plenty of rare mobs to take down that do seem to spawn quite often in
each rare will drop 30 field accolades and some coffer key shards, and they have a chance to drop war-bound adventurer gear. You can also find plenty of treasure scattered around the zone that drop five field accolades each
and some coffer key shards. Each zone will also have its own world boss, the leader of this particular base of operations for the void. And I actually really like that they made those leaders world bosses instead of just elites that
makes it feel like we're actually invading something substantial rather than being able to knock out a key void commander all by ourselves. These world bosses will drop war-bound champion gear just like other world bosses and reward
you with 75 field accolades. So, we're going to be able to farm field accolades incredibly quickly in these new zones from the looks of things, making it much easier and faster to gear up for anyone who still needs champion or hero track
gear. But, what is super interesting about these new mini zones is that when you interact with a portal that leads to looks quite similar to the delve difficulty selection menu. This menu
what rewards you can pick up and some background story for the zone itself, but then we also have a difficulty drop-down. You can choose to enter these zones on normal mode or heroic mode. Now, this is not instanced content.
These zones are open world zones like any other. You're going to see plenty of folks out and about who are not a part of your group. All of the rewards we've talked about so far are based on the normal version of these zones. Now,
unfortunately, heroic mode doesn't have a lot of information as of this first PTR build, except for how it might be unlocked. There's a new achievement called heroic tendencies, which requires you to kill the world boss in both new
zones, and that unlocks heroic world tier for showdowns, which is what we're calling these new zones, I guess. I think it's pretty safe to say that with monsters having more health and probably dealing more damage, and we'll
maybe see special affixes like what we saw in the Legion Remix world tier difficulty system. You should also have better rewards to chase after, which could include a higher rank war-bound gear drops and more field accolades for
each activity. So, it looks like the dev team are testing open world difficulty options, which is going to be very interesting. I'll keep you updated about interesting. I'll keep you updated about this as the PTR progresses.
new way to get field accolades, that completely left behind. There's a new tier six difficulty in patch 1207, which requires six challenges to be active. Everything is going to be a bit harder
be able to earn more field accolades as you might expect. But, there's one other huge reward tied to this higher difficulty. Every tier six run you complete it will reward you with five myth crests, and with there still being
no restriction on how often you can run ritual sites, you should be able to farm this reward over and over again until you're caught up to the current seasonal cap for myth crests. Up until now, the only source of reliable myth crests for
solo content players has been tier 11 bountiful delves and the gilded stashes, but these were strictly limited to four per week for a grand total of 20 myth crests per week. With tier six ritual sites, you'll be able to farm them to
your heart's content, which will make maxing out your crafted gear far more obtainable for solo players. There's also a new quest called ritual site have 3 weeks worth of progress, but we can't see what the reward might be just
yet. The PvP version of this quest rewarded a very valuable hero track neck or ring item, so we may see a powerful piece of gear at the end of this quest chain. We might also see another ritual site added in Harondor called blinding
bloom. It's not active on the PTR just yet, but there is a new loading screen called ritual site blinding bloom, so that will help change things up as well. The next new feature is something called the Omnium Folio. A mysterious device
has stirred in the Magister's Terrace, causing all sorts of problems. After a couple of quests that explain what this device is and why it's activating now, you'll get an enchanted book called the Omnium Folio, which sounds kind of like
a Harry Potter spell, but this book is essentially a new mini talent tree that provides some passive bonuses for your characters. The first node is unlocked right away, and you can choose between void orbs, which deal extra damage or
healing every 10 seconds, or unleashed fire, which just has a random chance to deal extra damage or healing when you use spells or abilities. The top choice is called your core rune, and many of the other abilities are going to
interact with it directly. The second row gives you a choice between extra healing when you drop below 75% health, an absorb shield when you take particularly heavy hits, or a speed boost when you get struck in combat. The
third row gives your core rune a damage over time component when it deals damage and a heal over time buff when it heals a friendly player. The next row down different nodes, but they all do more or less the same thing. The effects of your
core rune will give you a secondary stat buff, and changing this node just So, you get to choose between crit, haste, mastery, or versatility. And then the last node can double the
the effectiveness of the damage or healing over time effect, or add an echo that deals extra damage based on how much damage your core rune did in a short time window. It sounds like we'll be able to unlock a new row every week
or so. So, as the weeks go by in this patch, you'll just get more passive power from the Omnium Folio feature, which should help you complete any end of season goals you might have. I actually really like that this system is
not being tied to a piece of gear like most of the previous 0.7 power boosts were, like the Sursey Circlet and the Titan Console Belt. But, with this entire system being completely passive, it's also not particularly interesting
in my opinion. Your numbers are going to go up, but that's about it. Patch 1207 also brings in another world boss raid. This time we'll be facing off against Rot Myer in Spore Fall, which can be found near the Grudge Pit in
Harondor. What's unique about this boss is that every piece of loot has random stats on it. So, these items could end up being your best in slot if they roll really well. Something else that's interesting is that all of the loot is
currently marked as war-bound in the raid journal, even on mythic difficulty. So, this raid may introduce war-bound mythic gear, which would be a first. a couple of pieces for each armor class. There's a special necklace that can
shields and some damage if they're broken, a special ring that deals extra a trinket that provides you with a good boost of stats, which can be used by any
class or spec. With the random stats and war-bound loot, it could be worth running this raid on multiple characters for the best chance at best in slot loot. It's worth noting that this is all subject to change as this is the very
first PTR build for this patch. There will also be a quest to take down Rot Myer on any difficulty, which rewards you with a nebulous void core. So, you can get an extra bonus roll for checking out this raid as well.
There's also going to be quite a lot of new story content coming in 1207, starting with a new campaign story that delves into the history of the Zul'Aman, and we may end up heading over to the island of Atal'ai Tech. So, that's kind
of cool. There'll be some new quests over in Zul'Aman to help Jan'alai with her new clutch of eggs. So, we may see quite a few extra mini Loas flying around before too long. We'll have some new lore walking adventures to look
forward to, and this time Li Li will take the reins. We can learn more about the lower, their history, and their fate in these new bite-sized story quest lines. The long walking UI also had a bit of a facelift, and it looks much
better, in my opinion. The Turbulent Timeways event will be returning, giving us back-to-back time walking events, which will be great for gearing up and haven't gotten around to yet. And Dragonflight will be joining the roster
with Algeth'ar Academy, the Halls of Infusion, Neltharus, the Ruby Life Pools, the Azure Vaults, and Brackenhide Hollow dungeons. Seeing Algeth'ar again is going to be a bit weird, but we'll have some shiny new rewards on offer,
like the Spawn of Varannoth mount. There are also some cool new housing options coming, like exterior lighting and a bunch of new decor options to pick the outside of your home, even though they will have a couple of limitations
to start with. And then, we're also going to have a few more updates for the in-game damage meters and the personal resource display. So, the base user interface is being improved upon bit by bit. But, that's all of the major
features included in patch 10.0.7 and how everything is shaping up on the PTR so far. So, that's it for this video. What do you think of the new Omnium Folio temporary power system? And do you think you'll spend more time in the new
zones or in the new tier six ritual sites to farm up your hero gear? Leave below. A big thank you to all of our our members here on YouTube. You can see their names on screen. If you're
