Sponsors. Did that word scare you? Well, it shouldn't because you deserve yourself up for success so you can get your dreams dream partner and make that bag. Hello. It's me, Eggy. And uh I might look a little bit different from
the last video that I posted. For those of you that don't follow me on my shorts platforms or other socials, you might not have noticed that I did a bit of a redesign. Now, this was not a random thing. This is design has actually been
in progress for about a year now. And we're gonna have a really, really big have cooking. I'm so hyped. But in the meantime, let me reintroduce myself. My name is Eggy, the eiest squid in the sea. And I have been a VTuber for about
five or six years now. [music] And I mainly stream on Twitch. However, I just consistently. And the support that you guys have given me is absolutely banana
sandwich crazy. We're at 10K. We're over 10K. What? [laughter] I literally can't I I can't. But thank you so much for all the support. I literally couldn't have [laughter] Thank you guys so much. And let's go
desk have enough monster cans to make a WoW mythic raider jealous? Maybe it's Never heard of it? Oh, it's what all the cool kids are drinking. It gives you way
better energy than Monster for less crash and more vitamins that are way with your Soda Stream to make it super fancy. But don't forget to put your pinky up. Anyways, if you want to save some space on your desk and switch to
10% off your next order and help support the channel so I can make more videos for you. And who knows, maybe if we sell enough, we'll uh get our own cupy or our >> So, you're a small streamer and you want to get sponsored by a brand, company, or
game. Where the hell do we start? Well, the first step would be to do an audit of your socials. Take point of what your socials look like and what they offer to potential sponsors. Ideally, you want to keep your pages free from super personal
information, of course, and controversial things like sad posting or drama, etc. Now, [laughter] I know there's been a lot of controversy recently about VTubers and freedom of speech and all this, so I'm going to
everyone's allowed their opinion, I'm allowed mine. But fundamentally, sponsors are companies. They're multi-million dollar corporations usually that have their [music] own IP and their own branding. And when they
choose a partner, they are trusting their brand and their company to you. So, they're trusting you to be professional with their company. So, when they see you posting all of these things on your main Twitter, on your
themselves, how are they going to act professional for me?" I personally think it looks quite unprofessional to drama post stuff on other people, sad post, viewership. And listen, [music] it's totally fine to have the odd insecurity
about viewership or numbers. That is absolutely not the problem here. However, there are way healthier outlets for those feelings than on your main branded Twitter page where all of your followers can see it [music] and it
often makes them feel bad as well. Make an alternate account or maybe a Discord server with your Vtuber friends and have a vent section so you guys can talk to each other about your woes and feelings on content creation. But ideally,
Twitter because it really turns away a lot of sponsors and event planners. Now that that's over with, let's say you've taken a look at your socials and there's nothing crazy controversial or super sad or anything like that on your page.
that everything is a uniform color, has, you know, consistent themes. The key like it came from the same, you know, page that it's attached to the same
character. You want everything looks like it matches. The reason that this is important is because branding is a very easy way to visually look professional to companies. As in the IRL real world, that's generally what denotes whether a
company is professional when it first opens is how professional does their branding look. If you just have a cardboard sign outside of your store that says, "Welcome in," people are going to be less likely to come in than
The reason that this is important as well is to also show that you take Vubing seriously on a more full-time level or basis or that you're at least You can absolutely use Canva and make some super cute stuff that matches great
and costs very little in comparison all on your own. The important thing is the cohesion. So, if you're having any trouble, you could also try asking some mutuals who have good design sense or might use Canva themselves to see if
brainstorm something as a group. I highly recommend co-working and asking Once you've checked your socials for branding, you're going to want to make
sure your links are all in the right place. Make sure your website card or linkree is visible and available as well as your email address. Email address is very important because a lot of companies will exclusively reach out via
email and you'll also need a business email to sign up for a lot of company affiliate portals. If you don't have a card or website or linkree, etc., I across professionally, but also to put everything in one place. My personal
card has everything on it, my media kit, my gallery, all of my credits, etc., but brings us to the next thing I recommend making, a media kit. There's a few
different ways you can do this. I personally like having mine on my card, but you can also [music] make a graphical one in Canva or Photoshop. But regardless, the idea here is to have all of your stats visible and easily
accessible for sponsors so that they can see the size of your audience at a glance. This is important and comes into play when negotiating contracts based on audience size or reach. I'll include some examples in this video of media
clips that I've made in the past, as well as the one on my card, and my card will be linked below as well, so you can see it yourself as an example. And feel free to use any of my stuff as a template for your own work. Even if you
Gatekeeping is cringe. [laughter] Once you've got your media kit and your socials all nice and pretty and settled, it's time to write up your sponsor letter. I personally like having one generic one that I like to change
depending on the sponsor, but it functions like a really nice template so sponsor letter, I usually start with an introduction of myself, my country, that I stream on, and I'll include information about the type of content I
make, and finally, a small list or summary of some of my best stats. Think of this as writing a cover letter for a Oh, editor, make sure you bleep that But when you write a cover letter, you're kind of selling yourself in a
way, and you want to give the sponsor the absolute best image of you and make the first impression as memorable as possible in the first email. I also really like to include some personal stories related to the sponsor. So, for
it was really easy to write up my sponsorship application. That brings me to a small segue, which is try not to accept literally every sponsor. Try to personal experience with or that you can personally endorse. The reason for this
is that a lot of the time when you're partnered with a brand and something fall behind on shipments and your fans are now left without merch and without a refund, that can sometimes fall on you as the content creator to help figure
out and can cause a lot of undue stress. So, it's very good to vet your sponsors just as much as they're vetting you and to be careful of scams. If things sounds [music] too good to be true, they probably are. Once you have your letter,
it's time to start reaching out and that's kind of it at this point. You just send the email or the DM, look for different company sponsorship portals, and that's it. I'll leave some resources in the description for some places that
you can find some sponsors as well. And I'll leave an example sponsorship letter at [music] this step is to not be scared. Literally, the worst they can do is either not respond or say no. And at the end of the day, that's okay. I've
had plenty of sponsors say no to me and then 2 years later, I'm partnered with them and things are great. I'm looking at you, gamer subs. I think I literally applied like five times. You'll always get another opportunity for another
sponsor. There will always be another open door. So, don't stress because you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. So, send that DM. As a closing note, some good places to find sponsors are Twitter mainly, as well as just keeping
an eye out for new releases and seeing if they have partner programs or if your favorite games that you already play have publisher partnerships like Bandai Namco or Capcom. There's also a lot of websites where you can sign up to get
game keys and interact with developers like Lurket for example, which will give get a code for and includes paid sponsorships as well. And with that, I
first sponsorships. Please let me know in the comments if you guys end up me so happy and give me so much serotonin and dopamine to know that I
me on Twitter or something. That would be awesome. And I'll see you guys in the we're going to be reacting to Bricky Warhammer lore in partnership with Zephr
want to get 10% off uh your order from Zephr Arcade store, you can use code don't forget to love yourself as well. Mwah.
