## Summary

This video provides a comprehensive guide to making gold with engineering in World of Warcraft's Midnight expansion. It covers the new recycling mechanic, specialization trees, essential tools, and the most profitable crafts, offering a roadmap for maximizing profits.

### Key Points

- **Recycling Mechanic Explained** [00:29] — Engineering introduces recycling, allowing players to turn reagents into new materials like Evercore and Ether Loom, which are used in other engineering crafts.
- **Fewer Parts in Midnight** [01:36] — Midnight has only two parts (Soul Sprocket and Song Gear) compared to five in War Within, potentially narrowing profit opportunities from parts alone.
- **Hunter Weapon Scopes Added** [02:41] — New scopes for hunter weapons, such as one that increases mastery, provide additional consumable options for engineers to craft and sell.
- **Two Tools Required** [04:12] — Engineers need two separate tools: one enchanted with resourcefulness for recycling (since multicraft doesn't proc), and one with multicraft for crafting parts.
- **Recycling Tree: 100% More Materials** [06:01] — Maxing the recycling specialization yields 100% more materials from recycling, a massive profit multiplier for engineers focused on that path.
- **Inspiration Node for Recipe Discovery** [08:41] — Investing 15 points in bits and bots unlocks a node where recycling reagents can inspire new recipes, crucial for expanding your crafting repertoire.
- **Optimal Specialization Rush** [11:14] — Prioritize 15 points in bits and bots for new recipes, then 20 points in resourcefulness, max recycling, and finally bits tree for quality reagent chance.
- **Profitable Crafts Overview** [14:43] — The wormhole generator toy is highlighted as a top seller due to high demand for fast travel, while scopes like Hawk Eye and Link's Eye use only self-crafted materials.

### Conclusion

Engineering in Midnight offers strong gold-making potential through recycling and self-crafted materials, though success depends on careful specialization and tool selection. The video provides a solid foundation for players to start profiting from the profession.

## Transcript

And in today's video, I'm going to show you the best ways to make gold with engineering. We're going to go through the best professional equipment to use, the best specializations, and also what crafts will be the real money makers.
quickly want to say that I will have a completely free gold making crafting spreadsheet in my community Discord linked in the description. So, do not miss out on that. But let's continue with the video. So looking at
engineering, it is in my opinion one of the most interesting professions in midnight. They have added something called recycling. What recycling is is basically that you can recycle all of the different reagents here that you can
see into other stuff that you can actually use in engineering. So for example, the emergency soul link, we need the Evercore. The Evercore is produced by recycling. So you can recycle stuff into your own material
that you can use in engineering to craft other stuff. And this is going to be a huge step in engineering to make profit. So I kind of really like this one cuz lovely with a spreadsheet for this. And we probably going to be able to make
some juicy profits by recycling and then putting the stuff that we get from that into our other crafts in engineering. And that is very beautiful because the more profit you're going to end up with. So there's basically two materials you
can get when you recycle. You can get the ever core that we just got and you can also get the ether loom. Those two items will be used in various crafts in engineering as I said. So this is going to be a really really huge step in terms
than recycling, we have these two different parts, the soul sprocket and the song gear. It is in terms of crafts here a little bit weaker than it was in the war within. We had more parts in the war within. I think we had five of them.
Here we have two. So that is kind of a downgrade I guess cuz the more crafts usually means more profit. But here we have two different parts. So that's a little bit of a negative maybe. But I still think that engineering is looking
kind of fun. Then of course we have the regular toys. We have the wormhole generator. But it doesn't look like we have a lot of more toys other than that. Like in the war within we had a bunch of toys like four or five of them. Here we
seem to only have one. So, that is also a little bit of a downgrade in case you selling or like selling toys because I get a wormhole generator. I just want to
say that this is recorded like 6 days before the early access release. So, I guess things still can change, but they are more likely not to now. I feel like it's very close, but at least one toy, so not that bad. But they have also
added stuff for the hunter weapons. So, for example, you have the enchant here increase your mastery, which is really good cuz we get some options here to craft this kind of stuff for hunters, which is really nice because this we
this is definitely an upgrade. So, I really like that as well. So, basically, this one is some consumable as well, I guess. Like having this one gives you a chance to deal some extra damage. Doesn't look too bad. We of course have
a lot of different embellishments as well, which is not bad either. Then we have some new equipment as well. You can craft like as you can see here an epic maybe this is something that you can
gold. Not bad at all actually. This we like the cloth armor. Here we have some warbound stuff as well. So I'm not seem to have a lot of different options here in terms of crafting. So that's
getting so many options in terms of equipment to craft this time around as well. Then we are going to look at of course a lot of different profession equipment that we're going to be able to craft. So if you're into that, you can
of course sell that with engineering as well. So as you can see here, there is just so many options with engineering and having the recycling part as well. Here is something that I really really like. So I think engineering is going to
be really really fun to uh dabble with. In terms of the profession equipment that you use in engineering, it is going to actually require you to have two different tools because when you are recycling, you cannot proc multicraft.
So when recycling, you need to have a resourcefulness tool enchanted with resourcefulness of course. But when you craft parts, you can proc multicraft. So enchanted with multicraft. So, you're going to need to have two different
tools in engineering to be effectively crafting. Unless you only do like the recycling, then you don't need the going to be huge to do recycling to get those mats for the other crafts here.
Having two tools is probably going to be quite mandatory. Of course, if you're only into crafting like equipment and profession equipment and stuff for people, you don't need multicraft. You only need the resourcefulness because
gear cannot multiccraft, right? Okay, so that is about it in terms of profession equipment. Okay, so looking at the profession specialization here, it is pretty straightforward. The market mobility is where you improve crafts of
profession equipment. So if you're looking to craft profession equipment mobility tree. Here is where you pick is kind of something that you will have to decide depending on what route you
feel is going to be the best. Looking at the combat analytics, here is where you craft the gear and stuff for other people. So, here is plus skill in goggles, bracers, boots, and guns. This is basically the tree where you craft
not anything that I'm interested in in terms of crafting like gear and crafter. I like to craft reagents and consumables and stuff. So, I'm going to look more at the recycling and the bits and bots trees because this is where it
gets interesting for me. But looking at the recycling tree then, as we can see, this is going to improve your recycling, but it is also going to improve your overall stats in the profession. So, this is a huge tree to spec into. Here
in the recycling tree, if you're going to have anything to do with recycling, you're going to want to fill this out to max because here it says that recycling max because here it says that recycling now yields 100% more materials. And that
is a huge buff. So, make sure you get this one because uh this is something you need to rush if you're going to do recycling. Other than that, you kind of kind of meh, but it's going to be useful, of course, when you do going to
do quality two recycling into quality two materials, but I'm not sure if the beginning either way. But recycling, you kind of need this node, right? Cuz 100% more material seems absolutely huge. And you have the resourcefulness
node here to the right, giving you a lot of resourcefulness for all crafting with engineering. So this one is going to be very very important if you recycle as well. Absolutely mandatory. So like you probably rush this first and this
what you're going to rush if you do recycling. You're going to get 50 points you're going to be able to max these two nodes out instantly if you want to. Looking at the multicraft node here at the bottom is the thing that you're
do any crafting that is impacted by multicraft cuz this is the best stat for you. if the item can multicraft. Multicraft is just the best. No argue about it. So getting this first is going to be absolutely key if you do any kind
of crafting with multicraft. So make sure you rush this node in that case. But if you do recycling, multicraft is not really needed instantly, right? Cuz it doesn't affect it at all. Then to the left here, we have the ingenuity tree.
go for if you're going to go any kind of concentration build in engineering. I concentration profession. It doesn't feel like it, but if that is something get this node because that's going to be important for you. Looking at the bits
and the bots then is where you improve your craft of bits and bots. And the bits and bots, as we said, was like those different items here like the soul link. This is basically like the jumper cables where you can revive someone in
combat even if you don't have a combat rest on your character. So, this was within, but they were more annoying to craft in the war within. Here they are ends up at. But also, of course, you have the different enchants here, the
scopes or whatever to your ranged weapons and the bots is basically embellishments pretty much. So, this is where you improve those kind of things. So, here in the bits part, you get some stats and you also get skills. So, this
one you're going to want to max out, of course, if you want to go in to bits. This top node here is giving you a lot of skill to all your crafts here with stats here as you can see resourcefulness, but you also get this
thing up here. Recycling reagents has the chance to inspire you to create new recipes. This seem absolutely huge and mandatory. This is basically going to be how you unlock a lot of the recipes. So, now that I'm thinking about it again
here, this is probably going to be the rush. You need to get 15 points up here. And then if you're going a recycling build, you're going to get this 50 points in here. So 65 points. I think you're going to be able to get those 65
points day one or week one at least. So do that, but prioritize getting this one so you can create new recipes because getting more recipes means more crafts for you and means also more first time knowledge points, which is huge. So
getting this for 15 points is going to be mandatory. So don't don't miss out on resourcefulness here. But don't prioritize the ones after here. It's just going to be enough with the 15 points here. you get this top node. And
then if you go into bots, you're going to want to go into the bots here. But this one is only giving you skill, this tree here. So unless you're going to craft stuff at quality 2, this is completely useless. Other than that, you
actually learn to craft a medi recipe and a hue nonchalant pop. And this is the things here like some embellishment and medi is some kind of other thing going to be anything interesting. I really don't know even what this stuff
does. Like upon your untimely demise, summon medi to medicalicalize you and your raid back to life. Okay, so this is basically a rest for your raid. I don't probably going to want it, but going into it heavy to make a lot of gold. I'm
this is not going to be the best tree for you. I think the bits is going to be everything that you can masscraft and really make a lot of gold with. So yeah, going into bits here is actually really huge. And yeah, as we can see here, it's
also giving you a low chance to grant a bonus lowquality reagent when recycling. So that's even more profit recycling. So like it's a lot that you need here in terms of recycling like to get minimaxed recycling, which is quite interesting,
but it also requires a lot of points. It actually looks like you need 30 points into recycling and 20 points into resource desk. That's 50 points. You need 15 points in bits and bolts to unlock [music] new recipes. That's 65.
And then you have 30 in this. So 95 points to get the best outcome. And then also if you want to get max skill, which you do here later on, you need 15 here. So that's going to be 110 points to max out recycling. That's without multicraft
straightforward. I hope you followed like the route here. So the rush spec should be 15 points in here in bits and bots. You get new recipes. And then you also want to get here for 10 points to unlock whimsical recipes. Then 20 points
resourceness and a lot resourcefulness. And then max out recycling so you get the 100% more materials. Then you got to want to go here into the bits so you can get the low chance to get quality reagents. So it's a little bit of a
straightforward. like you're going to be able to fill it out quite far in the beginning in terms of getting quite a lot of knowledge points in the lot of first crafts as well, as you can see. So, if you decide to do a lot of
of knowledge points. Might be quite expensive in the start, you know, but points. And the multicraft node, of course, like as I said before, if you're prioritize this node. It's absolutely the best. So, multicraft is going to be
any kind of multicraft crafting. So, you kind of have to decide what you go for first. Either recycling or the multiccraft build. It's really important crafting. Otherwise, it's going to be pretty whack, right? So, take a decision
first. Am I going to do any multicraft crafting before I'm b at recycling? Then get the multicraft node. If you're not going to do any mult crafting before you b at recycling, just fill the other stuff out first like we said, and then
you can go multicraft after that. So, I hope that route didn't make it too messy. I know I yap a lot and I know it can get a bit messy here when we like decide the route and figure out the route, but it's quite straightforward.
now. Otherwise, I guess you can rewatch. I hope I don't make you have to though that. But now we're going to look at the craft that is going to make you the real dough. I really think so at least. And I think that recycling overall is going to
be huge for you as I said earlier. So make sure you don't sleep on that. If you need materials for your bits and stuff, make sure you utilize recycling going to have in the Discord before early access so you know what's
profitable and not. The parts is going to be selling. People are going to buy them to craft stuff, but I don't think the parts is going to have the hugest demand. So, it's probably just going to be you crafting the parts for yourself
to increase your profit margins into the other crafts. Mostly at least. Maybe you the auction house for a good profit, but I don't think it's going to be super to craft. I don't think the demand is huge. Crafting them for yourself for
key cuz that makes you also able to first recycle and craft parts so that you have, for example, this item. Once again, you have recycled to get the soul sprocket. So, you get better margins every time you do something for
yourself. get better margins. So, that is really nice. I think this one has a potential, but it's so easy to craft. So, it's not going to be probably staying too good, but it should be a profitable sustainable craft. But like
in the War Within, you needed an annoying item when crafting this that you got from kind of recycling, but the War Within version. And that was harder to calculate profits on. So, it was really good actually in the War Within.
terms of this item, but might be decent. Then the toy, of course, it's going to sell to everybody who is u wanting this toy. Allows the user to quickly travel Absolutely huge for everyone who has engineering. It sells. I used to sell
them on a lot of realms, you know, cuz cross realm selling is huge. So, this something that you're going to get rich on on your own realm. Then we have some other stuff here. It's just some cosmetic thing I think like curious red
button. No idea. Then we have the hawk eye. The crit on the weapon. I think that's going to be good together with the link's eye which is mastery. I don't those are going to be good. They are also only using materials that you can
craft yourself which is huge. So you don't have to buy any finished reagents them all yourself and that's going to add profit. So that I think this can stay really good actually. But I don't know how high the demand will be, but
it's interesting at least. Then the bots. I don't know about embellishments, war within like spending your concentration on the embellishment was quite nice. Other than that, I don't really know. I guess if they are on base
lists and they are be they can be good to print out as well. Then we have, of course, all of the different armor that people are going to want. That is something that you can do if you're into the armor crafting, which I'm not, but
going to be able to do crafting orders and make gold that way. But you're also going to have to find your customers, which is annoying part. Same with the that's going to be selling with the crafting orders. But finding customers,
it's another game that is not for me for sure. But I do think we have something going here with engineering. Even though there isn't maybe too much different variety. I think it's nice that you can recycle, create your own parts, and like
use your own mats to further craft. So, I actually have higher hopes for engineering this time around than I had last time, but we will see what it ends up at. I just hope it will be good. I think I'm going to go with an engineer
from the start, but I am not sure yet. We will have to wait and see. I hope you have learned something about Midnight Engineering in this video. If you have extra, please consider subscribing, leaving a like on the video, and also if
