# Crypto Futures Trading Without USDT: No 1% TDS

> Source: [Crypto Futures Trading Without USDT: No 1% TDS](https://youtube.com/watch?v=8YQWCFXpWpY)

## Summary

This video demonstrates how to trade crypto futures on the MDX platform using INR (Indian Rupee) instead of USDT, thereby avoiding the 1% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) that is typically applied when selling USDT. The presenter walks through the process of depositing INR, selecting INR as the margin currency, placing a futures order, and managing margin to reduce liquidation risk.

### Key Points

- **Avoiding 1% TDS on USDT sales** [00:01] — The video addresses the problem of paying 1% TDS when selling USDT in crypto futures trading. It introduces a solution: trading futures directly with INR on the MDX platform, so profits and losses are settled in INR and can be withdrawn to a bank account without the TDS hassle.
- **Depositing INR into MDX** [00:16] — To start, users must deposit funds into their MDX wallet by clicking 'Add INR' on the home interface, then 'Continue to Pay'. The funds are credited within a second.
- **Selecting INR as margin currency** [00:45] — After depositing, users click the futures icon and then select INR (instead of USDT) as the margin currency. This ensures that margin payments, profits, and losses are all in INR, and withdrawals go directly to the bank account.
- **Transferring funds to futures wallet** [01:11] — Users must transfer funds from their INR wallet to the futures wallet by clicking 'Transfer Funds' and selecting 100% (or a custom amount). The transfer is instant.
- **Trading pairs and margin in INR** [01:25] — The trading pairs remain in USDT (e.g., BTC/USDT), but the margin is paid in INR. This means the entire process—margin, P&L, and settlement—is done in INR, avoiding the need to sell USDT and incur TDS.
- **Placing a short order** [01:53] — The presenter demonstrates placing a short order by clicking 'Proceed to Short' and then 'Confirm Short Order'. The order is completed instantly, and details are visible under 'Open Positions'.
- **Editing margin and liquidation price** [02:06] — Users can edit their margin by clicking the pencil icon. Adding more margin lowers the liquidation risk. For example, the liquidation price moved from $80 to $82 after adding margin, reducing the chance of liquidation.
- **Closing the position** [02:38] — To close a position, users click 'Close' and confirm. The funds are then added back to the INR wallet, ready for withdrawal to the bank account.

### Conclusion

MDX offers a practical way to trade crypto futures without the 1% TDS burden by using INR as the margin currency. This simplifies the process and makes withdrawals easier for Indian traders.

is currently 80. Ok? There is a little gap here. But if more margin is added here, see what happens? Now the liquidation price has become 82. That means he went away. This means that the chances of the order getting liquidated have reduced further. So in this way you
can also add margin. And you can see here that the profit I am making is when I close this positioning, I will click on close here and close the position, then see, it has been closed
successfully. These funds will be added to my wallet. INR in wallet
