[0:00] face real harm online. [0:01] >> It passed including predatory design [0:03] features. [0:03] >> It passed. [0:06] >> This is official representatives for uh [0:09] top Democrat. We have uh you know [0:12] Republicans as well all in support of [0:15] this uh bill that was you know called [0:18] the kids act that I covered earlier this [0:20] morning. It received overwhelming amount [0:22] of support bipartisan support from both [0:25] political parties Republicans and [0:27] Democrats. 267 people voted to basically [0:30] be against freedom of expression and [0:32] speech online and 117 were patriots that [0:35] tried to stop this from happening but uh [0:38] obviously there wasn't enough votes to [0:40] counter it. So the house has officially [0:42] decided to move forward with uh [0:44] basically forcing age verification, [0:46] biometric scanning and any form of way [0:49] to verify your personal identification [0:51] online. And uh this will affect the [0:54] entire internet. The fact that this even [0:56] passed the House is pretty damning, [0:59] especially with how overwhelmingly [1:02] one-sided the votes were. Like, it [1:04] wasn't even close. Like, the fact that [1:06] it has 267 votes and then only 117 [1:10] fought against it pretty much showcases [1:13] that uh yeah, this is this is being [1:15] pushed through and both parties are very [1:17] happy to push this through. And now, [1:19] next up is for the Senate to decide if [1:22] this uh becomes law or not. There's a [1:24] little bit more steps after that, but [1:26] overall the fact that this made it so [1:28] far through and both sides pretty much [1:30] came to an agreement, I think is [1:32] indication enough that uh we are [1:34] actually witnessing the death of the [1:37] internet as we know it. Like the ability [1:39] to be anonymous, the ability to have [1:41] your own privacy. We are legit actually [1:44] witnessing this happen within the United [1:46] States. The only hope that we can have [1:48] at this point now is that the Senate [1:50] literally shuts this down completely. [1:52] there's always a chance. But it is [1:54] really scary the fact that over 260 [1:57] people voted for this and it was just [1:59] this one-sided. But uh yeah, so um this [2:03] um this is uh pretty scary. The fact [2:05] that uh we're seeing the same exact [2:07] speech that we see within the UK being [2:10] used from these different [2:11] representatives and politicians with the [2:12] United States saying the exact same [2:14] words like echoing the same thing of [2:16] think of the children, protect the [2:17] children. But we all know that is not [2:19] what this is about. Everybody with a [2:21] working functioning brain knows that [2:24] this is how they get these laws passed [2:26] because they use the optics of think of [2:28] the children, protect the children. And [2:30] if you try to fight back against it, [2:31] they're like, you're a weirdo not [2:32] wanting to keep children off the [2:33] internet. But obviously, the real reason [2:35] is to open up the door to where they can [2:37] now start implementing even more [2:38] draconic laws to censor your speech or [2:41] spy on you and even put you at risk [2:44] potentially of doxing yourself. Like, [2:46] let's um let's get into this a little [2:47] bit more of this. So basically, you [2:49] know, let's say in a perfect world that [2:51] this law really is the intention of it [2:53] is to protect kids and there is no [2:55] alternative like uh you know, methods of [2:58] what they're trying to do with this. [2:59] Like for instance, they are truly trying [3:01] to protect you know kids from being on [3:02] the internet. The problem here is is [3:04] that even if this is the case, these [3:07] different sites, like for instance, [3:08] Discord Reddit Wikipedia Twitter all [3:12] you get the point. You'll have to [3:13] implement your ID or some form of [3:15] biometric scans just to be able to [3:16] access these sites. And can you [3:18] legitimately trust these sites with your [3:20] personal information after seeing [3:22] continuous data breaches like with [3:23] Discord for instance earlier this year? [3:25] No, you cannot. And the fact that, you [3:27] know, this is going to be implemented [3:29] throughout the entirety of the internet [3:31] is pretty horrifying because this means [3:33] that these littleer sites, these sites [3:35] that don't have a lot of money or [3:36] infrastructure to be able to build prop [3:39] probably the proper protections for you [3:40] might have massive data breaches and [3:42] your information is just straight up [3:44] lost. This is just this is a uh doomsday [3:47] scenario honestly for the internet. Like [3:49] this is actually a pretty dark day. Like [3:51] I said, it isn't completely over. Like [3:54] the Senate can still shut this down, but [3:57] the fact that they pushed this through [3:59] the door with next to no push back and [4:01] they kind of snuck it under everybody's [4:03] radar till the day before this literally [4:05] happened really says what they're doing [4:07] here. And I really hope that people gain [4:09] awareness of this situation and they [4:11] fight back because this is not about [4:13] protecting kids. This is not about think [4:16] of the children. This is about invading [4:17] your privacy. This is about you [4:19] basically no longer being anonymous [4:21] online and basically doxing yourself, [4:23] putting yourself at risk online. That is [4:25] what this is because, you know, they're [4:27] going to be implementing these different [4:28] companies and sites are going to be [4:29] implementing like, you know, age [4:30] verification checks most likely with AI. [4:33] And we all know that that can get stuff [4:35] very, very wrong. And so, let's say [4:37] you're someone that uh, you know, has a [4:39] dying grandma on the floor and that [4:41] needs help and you need to look up a [4:42] YouTube video or something or a guide to [4:44] be able to do chest compressions to do [4:46] CPR. Well, you're going to have to [4:47] verify your age real quick. You're going [4:49] to have to put in your ID. You're going [4:50] to have to scan your face. Going to wait [4:51] till the AI checks it while your grandma [4:53] is potentially dying on the floor. [4:55] That's what I'm trying to get. That's a [4:56] very extreme example, obviously. But [4:58] what I'm saying is is that stuff like [5:00] this is going to cause a lot of harm. [5:02] There is areas to where this can even [5:04] cause people to die. I mean, very [5:07] extreme, very, very extreme example. [5:09] Yes. But I'm just trying to say is that [5:12] this is very damaging. It puts just so [5:15] many people at risk. It puts like, you [5:17] know, people's information in the [5:19] crossfire where it can be lost by these [5:20] companies. It It's just It's bad. I I [5:24] absolutely shameful that this actually [5:26] even passed. It is so sad that I even [5:28] have to make this video and say, "Yeah, [5:32] it passed with overwhelming support." [5:36] So, yeah, I will leave it at that. I [5:38] just I wanted to talk about this because [5:40] obviously I told you guys I would give [5:41] you an update depending on where the law [5:43] went today, if it passed or not. And [5:45] yep, here you go. I hate to be the [5:47] bearer of bad news, but here we are. So, [5:49] the only thing we can do now at this [5:51] point is contact your local [5:52] representatives, like different Senate [5:54] members that are going to be voting on [5:55] this in the future, and tell them you do [5:57] not want this to pass. That's literally [5:59] the only way now at this point to [6:01] counter this because if we don't, it [6:04] will probably pass through the Senate. [6:06] So, anyways, you all have a fantastic [6:07] day or night wherever you live. Be safe, [6:09] stay healthy. Chibi outs.
