## Summary

This video provides a comprehensive tier list ranking all DPS specializations in World of Warcraft for Season 2, based on the PTR and pre-season testing. The creator, Scott from the Comeback Kids, evaluates each spec's damage, utility, defensives, and overall viability in both raid and Mythic+ content, offering insights into the current meta and surprising standouts.

### Key Points

- **Introduction to Tier List** [00:02] — The video ranks every DPS spec from best to worst, emphasizing that all specs are playable but rankings reflect general power levels.
- **Arms Warrior S Tier** [00:15] — Arms Warrior is ranked S tier due to incredibly high damage, strong tier set bonuses, and unmatched utility for melee cleave comps. Build variety between Slayer and Colossus adds flexibility.
- **Arcane Mage S Tier** [02:18] — Arcane Mage is the most played class on PTR, with changes to the Apex talent and removal of clunky arcane orb builds. Prismatic Bolt hits extremely hard, making it the premier caster cleave spec.
- **Unholy Death Knight S Tier** [04:05] — Unholy DK's raw damage may not be S tier, but the value of grips for grouping mobs in raids and Mythic+ is invaluable. Their defensive toolkit is the best in the game, making them extremely safe.
- **Devour Demon Hunter A Tier** [05:13] — Devour DH remains strong but was slightly nerfed, particularly the Collapsing Star build. Still a great spec with good sustain and the 3% magic debuff for caster cleave comps.
- **Frost Death Knight A Tier** [06:32] — Frost DK has great damage with 45-second to 1-minute cooldown windows, but is very cooldown-dependent. Requires skill to maximize, but remains a death knight with excellent utility.
- **Windwalker Monk A Tier** [07:51] — Windwalker is a big surprise, with solid damage and the Conduit to the Celestials build performing well. However, their defensive capability is the worst in the game, preventing S tier.
- **Elemental Shaman A Tier** [09:02] — Elemental Shaman was nerfed but still offers excellent utility (bloodlust, poison cleansing totem) and above-average damage. The Far Sheer build is fun and effective.
- **Balance Druid A Tier** [10:23] — Balance Druid has uncapped AoE, excellent utility (battle res, mark of the wild), and a strong four-piece bonus. Pairs well with blood death knight for grouping.
- **Retribution Paladin A Tier** [11:31] — Retribution Paladin brings incredibly consistent damage and some of the best utility in the game (blessings, off-heals, cleanse). Fits into any comp and is the most played spec in WoW.
- **Destruction Warlock A Tier** [12:35] — Destruction Warlock received needed single-target buffs (Soulfire hits 750k) and has excellent uncapped AoE with Rain of Fire. Premier warlock spec currently.
- **Assassination Rogue B Tier** [13:57] — Assassination Rogue has good damage but lacks utility, making it less desirable for meta comps. Viable in mid-level keys (12-14) but not top-tier.
- **Havoc Demon Hunter B Tier** [15:32] — Havoc DH got buffs to Essence Break, providing consistent and high damage. Straightforward to play, good for solo content, but not a standout for group meta.
- **Affliction Warlock B Tier** [16:26] — Affliction Warlock has consistent damage but struggles with single target in Mythic+. AoE was reduced, but priority damage improved. Viable but below Destruction.
- **Shadow Priest B Tier** [17:46] — Shadow Priest has a great design and fun gameplay, but constant nerfs to damage (Void Volley) keep it from being top-tier. Slightly above average.
- **Feral Druid B Tier** [19:06] — Feral Druid is average, with numbers not as good as other melee specs. Needs better tuning and energy regeneration. Utility is good (battle res, group buff).
- **Enhancement Shaman B Tier** [20:16] — Enhancement Shaman brings more value than Feral due to better utility and extra melee attacks. Good for melee cleave comps, but defensives are a concern.
- **Outlaw Rogue B Tier** [21:25] — Outlaw Rogue is average, with decent numbers but a design that is too APM-heavy and reliant on RNG. Least played spec in the game.
- **Demonology Warlock B Tier** [22:18] — Demonology is not translating well, with nerfs and no major updates. Not the best in single target or cleave, and lost its two-kick edge.
- **Augmentation Evoker B Tier** [23:16] — Augmentation is a pure support spec that is either amazing or bad. Average players won't perform well, and it's not translating well this season.
- **Fire Mage B Tier** [24:23] — Fire Mage has phenomenal damage during Combustion but is terrible outside of it. Very cooldown-dependent and risky to invite to groups. Needs a rework.
- **Frost Mage C Tier** [25:45] — Frost Mage has good control but a poor tier set for Mythic+. Arcane is the star of the show, and Frost doesn't scale well.
- **Marksmanship Hunter C Tier** [26:38] — Marksmanship Hunter has high damage potential but poor utility. Requires high skill to perform well, and average players will struggle.
- **Subtlety Rogue C Tier** [28:26] — Subtlety Rogue's gimmick of high burst from stealth was reduced, and the damage supplement isn't enough. Tier set sucks and design could be better.
- **Devastation Evoker C Tier** [30:05] — Devastation Evoker is not translating well, with poor single-target damage and no valuable group buff. Needs significant buffs to be viable.
- **Beast Mastery Hunter D Tier** [31:11] — Beast Mastery Hunter has average damage and poor utility, making it hard to justify in group comps. Fine for solo content but not meta.
- **Fury Warrior D Tier** [32:11] — Fury Warrior is outclassed by Arms Warrior in every way. Lower AoE cap and damage, making it a hindrance in groups. Needs adjustments.

### Conclusion

The tier list highlights that Arms Warrior, Arcane Mage, and Unholy Death Knight are the top DPS specs for Season 2, while specs like Fury Warrior and Beast Mastery Hunter are at the bottom. The meta favors specs with high damage and utility, and players should consider these rankings when choosing their main.

## Transcript

finalized heading now into the preseason, it's time to break down every single DPS spec in the game and rank them from best to worst. Just remember, every DPS spec is playable at any level of the game. These tier lists are just
general rankings to help guide you with the sense of general power level amongst all the specs at the moment. Now, with that being said, let's not waste any time and jump right into number one with the Arms Warrior. Arms Warrior. First
honest. This was a very big surprise here. After Midnight Season 1's outing of Arms Warrior, they really didn't do too well until the tail end of the minor changes and buffs, some updates in the.5 patch as well. So, it took time
for Arms Warrior to get off the ground up and running. And they ended up doing they got very slight changes to things like their Colossus talent tree and stuff, some updates with cool downs. And the thing is, their tier set is really
strong. Their damage is incredibly high right now. While some other specs are good enough in a melee cleave comp to where they can hold their own and they valuable. The like it's very simple here. The truth of the matter is is if
you give Arms Warrior good damage, they're mandatory in a melee cleave unmatched utility for a melee cleave comp with just overall great damage, yeah, I mean, this is a very simple no-brainer pick, it's an easy pick to be
S tier. It's very very rare that we'd see arms warrior dominate on the meters melee cleave anyway. I mean, I think they're doing great. The utility is good. I'm enjoying it. They're very fun class to play. Personally, I love even
delves and prey as well. And don't forget, we have Labyrin's coming too, so that's quite fun as well. But overall, guys, I'm going to keep this one short doing great. The tier set bonuses is fun. And I think Colossus is hitting
like a Mac truck right now. So, right off the bat, this one is a no-brainer. Very simple. Arms Warrior is just dominating. Not only that, Arms Warrior also has some decent build variety between Slayer and Colossus if you want
to go for maybe more boss damage or single target/ AoE if you want to go variety enough to where if you're in comms and you know communicating with your group, you can actually pick a spec that's more valuable for you know either
more boss damage or AOE damage. But nevertheless, I like arms warrior. Very solid choice right now. Moving on next to probably the most played class on the PTR, we have the Arcane Mage. Um, yeah, I think all it took for Arcane Mage to
get up and rolling since the slow roll out in Midnight Season 1 was simply just change the Apex talent and a couple few talents that really make the gameplay interaction quite clunky, like the whole arcane orb build. They got rid of that
mostly and it's pretty much now you're casting arcane missiles back again. Damage feels great. Utilities of course peak for a caster cleave comp. They bring very valuable control for groups. And the thing is is Prismatic Bolt is
just hitting like a nuclear explosion right now. Like I it's just crazy to me glacial spike and that's kind of like all of Frost Mage's gimmick this season. And the damage just really fun. Not that difficult to play. I think it's kind of
like in the average to slightly above average in difficulty maybe, but overall the damage is very very high guys. Prismatic Bolt changed the spec drastically and it's so much more fun to play than before. I think their pure
single target is a little bit lackluster, but because of how much cleave there is in the raid and also just how easy it is to pull mobs into think Arcane is going to do amazing. They are by far the premier spec for
month ago. It's looking like that's land. Arcane mage is phenomenal. defensive tool gut got greatly increased biggest problems for mage in general. That got changed. And you combine that
with amazing damage, good utility. They're pretty much the arms warrior of, always need a mage for a caster cleave. So, Arcane, they're booking their ticket looks like they're going to stay there. Moving on next to a bit of a versatile
spec. Believe it or not, I have Unholy Death Knight in the S tier. Now, I don't think Unholy Death Knight's raw damage deserves to be an S tier, but you have to understand how valuable grips are to actually have in a thing like raids with
all this cleave as well as the mythic plus season. I mean, it is so valuable to have a death knight to just control mobs and grip them in and group them up. It is it is just invaluable. Not only that, their defensive toolkit is the
best in the game. It's very very very hard to die on unholy death knight and because you have anti-agic shell constantly. You could just pop it on cooldown and just soak mechanics for your group and no one has to worry about
versatile in the sense of they could fit in a caster cleave comp. They could fit in a melee cleave comp and just go about their day. So I love unholy death knight for that reason. One of the safest classes and specs you can pick in the
they're just going to be a knock out of the park. I I think this class is also phenomenal for solo content for Delve's Labyrinth coming up and even Prey. So, going to pick up right where they left off season 1. I think they're going to
dominate and things are looking really good for Unholy. Let's move on to the next spec is going to be Devour Demon Hunter, guys. I I think Devour is still yet again a very strong spec. I don't think their S tier contender with the
changes to their collapsing star build. It did get nerfed heading into this season and a lot of people were playing the melee, you know, sort of uh void scarred build, which is cool, but I think the whole gimmick of this spec is
like, I want to get into my metamorphosis form, and I want to pump out as many nuclear heavyhitting collapsing stars as possible, and they slightly nerfed that. Now, I like the consistent damage outside of it a little
bit better, but I think overall it lowered their ceiling just a tad bit. I bit more than season one. Season one, they were gods. They were literally S+ tier. There's not a thing wrong with that spec. So, I mean, you know, slight
it's bound to happen. They're just the best of the best season one, so it had to happen. Devour, I think they're still a great spec. Collapsing star build got changed a little bit. Melee build still is viable, but I think the premier spec
star uh metamorphosis build. And listen, their sustain is still good. Defensive capability good. They're needed for casting cleave comps for the 3% magic debuff. They're good. They're still a great spec. Defensive capabilities are
They know if you know what you're doing on a devourer. Uh, moving on. Next, we have the frost death knight. Now, guys, I don't know what it is, man. Blizzard, pretty much came into this season, went to the whiteboard, and just threw a
death knight's going to be the best." Cuz that's literally what's going on here. All three specs are premier specs. Even Frost Death Knight, if you guys which personally I really don't ever since the rework back in the war within
the last patch, um it's a great gameplay design and it's fun. 45 second to a with the deathbringer hero talent tree, minute go windows combining some cooldowns together and your damage is
just absolute insanity. The problem with frost is they're kind of similar to like fire mage in that regard to where like very cool down dependent and if you're not pulling the groups properly and like chaining into big packs and using your
suffer compared to some of these other specs in the game. So like in that other than that, you're still a death knight. S tier, you know, defensive capabilities, great utility, you have your grips, your AMZ, AMS to soak up,
soaked group. I mean, death knight's phenomenal, man. And uh the damage just got to know what you're doing. Takes a little bit more skill. You new season. Moving on, probably the biggest surprise of this entire video.
We actually have Wind Walker. And I'm putting them in the A tier. I know a lot of people are shoving them into like S tier, A+ tier, or you know, whatever. I I think Windalker's damage is absolutely solid right now. The the four-piece
are playing Conduit to the Celestials right now, which seems to be doing well. Shout out to Lance for that one. And I think this spec is going to do really good numbers-wise. Kind of like usual, the damage for Windalker tends to not
really be the problem. The number one concern for Windalker, why I don't have them in the S tier, is simply put that their defensive capability is absolute swamp ass. It's the worst in the entire game. Now, the thing is Windalker
mechanics very easily. You have good control for groups. You bring good damage, you bring utility, great mobility, really fun to play solo uh They look to be doing well because of the cleave in the raid. So overall, wind
defensive capability problems and knock you into plus 19s and 20s. Yeah, you're going to absolutely carry plus 10 through 12 through 14s. No problem on a now. Think they're going to do absolutely amazing heading into the
about. Moving on next, ladies and gentlemen, we have the Elemental Shaman. Now, this was a spec that I called very early. I thought the spec was going to do amazing. I had them in the S tier, but sadly they did get nerfed a little
their damaging abilities, which a little some of the most utility in the game, plus some of the best damage in the game, yeah, that seems a little bit fishy to me. So, it's understandable.
love about elemental is that they can even kind of like get shoehorned into buff, which is kind of interesting. Could be easier to find groups, but also with your blood lust, poison cleansing totem, great crowd control, group buff.
as a elemental shaman. Not only that, you have incredible burst damage on specific moments for encounters like like in some of these dungeons where you that you got to get rid of. And I think
really valuable just on a mythic plus standpoint. Not only that, of course, for raid, I think they're going to do okay. Maybe not as, you know, solid as think the poison cleansing is really the highlight there. Very valuable in this
raid. But overall, [music] guys, I I think it's simple, excellent utility, above average to like really good damage, and uh yeah, elemental brings fun. The far sheer build is really fun to play right now. Quite enjoyable, and
well. Moving on, next we have balance druid. Kind of a similar situation to and swap it with a battle res. Excellent utility out of this class. Versatility is good. I like the mark of the wild buff that they bring. Uh good crowd
it with like death knight grips and stuff and especially with blood death knight. You know, grouping everyone up with goreframes grasp. Uh balance druid with the blood death knight if you guys know what you're doing and you pair some
[ __ ] up. Not only that, the damage is out of control and uncapped AoE for to play right now. If you guys ever had an interest of playing balance, really fun class to try out, maybe pick up and play. Um, not only that, I think their
four piece bonus is incredibly valuable for just increasing their overall damage because they're two-piece. So, like, love the whole double down on the and and powerful inside of their eclipse. reward me for doing the right
things and staying in eclipse at a certain point and using my abilities, eclipse being the beginning and the end. So, really enjoy balance. They're going to be absolutely knockouts this mythic plus season. We'll have to see about the
uh the raid. I think they're going to do as well. Also, moving on next, another incredible utility spec. I love retribution paladin. I think they're so fun to talk about. You name it, the retribution paladin brings them in.
incredibly consistent damage, some of the best utility in the game. Blessing offheal, word of glories, you have cleanse, you have lay on hands, you name it, the retribution paladin can bring it. You can fit this spec into any comp
in the game and they can help you and just carry utility wise. Not only that, devotion or is great for the 3% damage buff and I think some of these specs are season, especially blood death knight. And I think I think this spec is going
Retribution Paladin. They don't need to valuable, and they prove it every single season. There's a reason this is the most played spec in the existence of WoW right now, and I absolutely love it. I
have liked some better design on their tier set bonuses, but it is what it is. I think the gameplay is fun. Decent variety and hero talents this season, and it is what it is. I think Retribution is going to do just fine.
Moving on next guys, another big surprise is Destruction Warlock. Now, Destruction Warlock, they just got some really needed buffs to their single target with soulfire and I think one more ability, but some slight changes to
havoc as well, but man, overall, I was testing out destruction. I think I hit like a 750,000 damage soulfire the other day. Yeah, let me tell you, that's pretty juicy to toss out. 750,000 on a nice single target.
You get a havoc going with that, yeah, you're freaking blasting on two to three opportunity there. And listen, their damage is just through the roof right now. Rain of Fire is absolutely nuking everything. And I got to be honest, I
were going to keep it up. I actually thought this spec was going to end up through the roof. They got a couple single target buffs as well. And right the premier spec. AoE, they're absolutely smashing. And I think they're
destruction is like you have to have your tank keep them in your reign of of a pain in the ass. I don't know if you guys have ever played, you know, four rain of fire procs and your tank
then just moves them right out of the way, which sucks, but it is what it is. great. They have great uncapped AoE, excellent single target right now. If going to do just fine. Definitely looking like the premier warlock spec as
of right now. Um, moving on next. Speaking of premier spec, we have Speaking of premier spec, we have assassination rogue. Now listen, overall rogue utility-wise is lackluster. I think overall Blizzard needs to make
some serious decisions here and update rogue in a variety of ways when it comes poison is that great in general. So that leads to the problem of okay, they don't have good utility at all. Their defensives are okay, but Rogue needs to
defensives are okay, but Rogue needs to do an incredible amount of damage to even be slightly considered meta. Let me put it this way. If I was making a melee cleave comp, I would not invite a rogue. If I'm making a caster cleave comp, I
would not invite a rogue. There are other specs on this list right now that deal the same, if not more damage with just way more utility and help for my team. So, I'm going to put that bluntly, but their damage is good enough to where
like if you're running anywhere between 12 to 14s, no one's going to give a [ __ ] They'll invite you. You're going to deal your damage, go about your day. priority targets with kidney shot, low t or low cooldown kick, blind interrupts.
You're going to be just fine. So, I like them. I also like the gameplay design of Rogue. They made some nice changes to Deathstalker this season, as well as you for better play for playing Assassination. Unironically, this might
be a main option for me heading into this season because I'm not looking to to just solo. I I burned out with Mythic Plus last season. So, I am honestly highlight choice for me and uh they look overall pretty solid, man. Moving on
next, speaking of solid and straightforward, we have Havoc Demon Hunter. Listen, Havoc Demon Hunter got buffed the last couple weeks, okay? A essence break and some of their interactions with that, it got buffed.
The damage is very consistent. It's rather high. They bring good utility, straightforward to pick up. Good for solo content like Delves Prey and Labyrin's coming up in in just about 8 weeks. Yeah, I mean, sign me up. What's
listen, personally, gameplay style isn't for me. It's a little bit too on the nose, but if anyone's out there looking for a rather straightforward spec to pick up and play that's melee, dude, Havoc is doing great right now. I don't
with Havoc other than some basic interactions with cooldowns lining up, but I I think Havoc is in a good spot. I think they're going to perform well, and I'm excited to see them sort of hustle their way and try to finagle their way
Other than that, let's move on to the are going with Affliction Warlock. This is a spec I've mained the last I couldn't even tell you 10 months. I think Affliction definitely got better
reduced their overall AoE by a little bit, but they increased their priority damage by a good amount as well. So, I like that in that regard, but I think to rework their talent tree. I think the damage capability of Affliction is
incredibly consistent, very, very high. Their biggest number one problem is that in order for them to do good AoE damage, they lose a lot of single target damage. So for Mythic Plus, their pure single target damage is a little bit on the low
side, average at best, and it does suck at times if you don't know what you're doing on the spec, and you will get your ass whooped by a lot of other DPS on you have to make it up in AoE, which they reduced, and I don't think it's
target. That's why I have them below destruction right now. Overall though, I like their changes. I think Hellcller could be cool for pure single target scenarios. I I guess uh running malefic grass build and just stacking big damage
and stuff, but we'll have to see. I I think affliction's in a good enough spot to where they could absolutely be viable. I'm most likely going to play it obvious choice to me. So, with that being said, I think Affliction's doing
good. Damage is good. Defensiives are absolutely amazing. And uh yeah, utility is decent enough to want to get invited sometimes. Moving on next now to Shadow Priest. Um, Shadow Priest is very very close to making the A tier. They just
been getting nerfed constantly and and Blizzard loves doing this [ __ ] They put Shadow in S tier like a month and change ago, I believe. And it's because they deserve to be there. The damage was amazing. Super fun to play. Design was
great. Great changes heading into new season, but they just keep nerfing them be honest, I don't know how many people were actually playing Shadow on the PTR. I barely grouped with any of them. So, like not sure what the situation is and
like they never let this class go live and dominate. I I just haven't seen it in years. So, like kind of sucks. Very close to being on the cusp to a minus tier. Damage just keeps getting nerfed, man, with void volley and everything and
design is phenomenal. Really good changes here. I love the instant cast abilities. A lot more damage when you need it on priority targets as well as waiting for psychic link to do everything. So, I like Shadow. They just
they just keep nerfing their damage. Like, take me back. Take me back just a changes ago, and they're looking like here. Overall, though, I'm going to keep them in average, slightly above, and I think they're kind of safe there. Uh,
Durage. Now, I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with Feral. Their numbers just aren't as good as some of the other specs in the game right now. like not as good as Wind Walker, not as good as Arms
Warrior, and it's not looking like better than Unholy or Frost. So, the trying to fill that buff slot, I'm going to be honest. If I'm going melee cleave, knight, and then I'm going to shoehorn in a restoration druid for just low keys
and then a blood DK and go about my day and I'm good. You know what I mean? Like, I'll my group will deal its damage. Or even the obvious choice would just be enhancement for the extra melee attacks. So like I personally I I think
I think Windalker is taking that spot from Feral right now and then Weaver because Windalker is just performing so well. So like in terms of priority I don't think Feral is as good as those specs. But overall I think
Feral is fine. They're just average to me. Like I think without their cooldowns their single target is not as much as these other specs right now. I just tuning and some better energy regeneration and I think they'll do
now. Good utility. I like the battle res. I like the group buff but need a little bit more damage from them. Uh like I said, moving on next, enhancement shaman. Pretty much the same scenario. I'm just going to put enhancement shaman
one slot above feral because they just bring more value. They bring better bring the extra attacks for melee cleave. They bring good crowd control. now that I'm thinking about it, I think we could put enhancement shaman in the
wouldn't I put them in the low E tier? I I think they're going to do great for of the show for the melee cleave comps to buff everybody up. You get me an arms warrior, we're off to the races. That dungeon is
going to get pissed on. And also, they cover so much utility that these two specs don't bring too much of. And uh yeah, I think we're going to do just fine. So, love an enhancement. I think the gameplay is a little bit better.
than cooldown based. They took a lot of damage outside of ascendance and I think enhancement needed it. My one problem defensive capabilities of enhancement them in that regard. But other than that, I think Enhancement's doing great,
Moving on next, we have the Outlaw Rogue. I'm putting them dead smack in the middle of this video as simply just average. I don't love Rogue in general
because their lack of utility, but Outlaw specifically, once again, I'm not this spec is the least played in the entire game by far. Least played spec in the game. And I think it's from a design standpoint, I think it's too much. The
APM is exhausting. The gambling and and hope you roll good is exhausting. The hero talents are boring. The gameplay design to me anyway, boring. But their numbers are doing decent right now. Once again though, I don't think they're
season. I think Windalker is whooping their ass and taking their spot is what it is. And uh yeah, that's where Outlaw's at. If Windalker was low, problem is Windalker's dominating. Outlaw is going to drop substantially.
Rogue for you. Moving on next to Demonology. Yeah, Demonology is not translating too well the more gear we get, the tier set changes. No real updates heading into this season other than slight nerfs. They got some decent
changes the other day, but like they're not the best in single target anymore. cleave. Yeah, they're not the premier warlock think they need some adjustments when it comes to like their kicks. I thought I
thought the whole, you know, fell hunter kick talent in season 1 was fine. Um, I I didn't see the need to like completely gut it from the game entirely, which was kind of funky to me, but it was taken out and I, you know, that kind of lost
them their edge. I I liked having two kicks on Demonology season 1. They don't Affliction are dealing more damage to them overall and in pure single target. Um, yeah, Demonology just not tuned too well. I like the design, just not tuned
well. It is what it is. Moving on. Next, we have the augmentation evoker. Um, this one is very funky, man. Uh, augmentation, the only one of its kind. Warcraft. Kind of like controllers from uh, City of Heroes. I don't know if you
guys know about that game. Shout out to City of Heroes. Um, just pure support. They like they're either tuned amazingly or they're just not tuned well. Now, of course, you can still fit them. If we're talking pure meta keys, augmentation's
great, but like the average player is not going to perform well on an their ability heading into the season when it comes to their cooldown reduction and stuff. So like I don't think it's going to translate well
they're going to be pretty bad. So like there's other valuable specs out there and I just I don't don't love augmentation at the moment. It is what it is. Don't hate me. Just just trying to speak on it. Messenger. I would
personally love augmentation to get reworked to like a pure earthbased earth timebased DPS spec. I think that'd be really fun. I I just don't like this spec being the only one of its kind still. Yet again, it's impossible to
really bad, and I don't think they're doing great this season. Moving on next, we have Fire Mage. This is the last one in the B tier. I mean, listen, Fire Mage's damage capability during combustion is phenomenal amongst some of
the best in the game. They do some stupid numbers, man. The problem is is outside of combustion, this class is so boring and the damage is so bad to where if you mess up on your combustion windows, you're you're done. You're for
60 seconds, you are dunzo. You got nothing, champ. And that is a problem. I cannot knowingly like invite a fire mage to my group cuz like the ch the chances
of this fire mage hitting like their buttons at the right time is just so slim to none. And I just I have trust issues. Mythic plus ruined my trust for terrible. It's a terrible thing to think about. But like, man, fire mage, they
needs a rework. They need to go back to a combustion that inflicts heavy DOT to 10 spell cast that then procs some other things. And maybe you build up to a big dragon's breath that like channels or something like, I don't know. I think
that, I think their damage is decent this season. It's just it's it's just problem the midnight season one. I like the tier set bonus with pyrolasm. It's enough. So that's where I'm at with fire. Moving on. Next, I guess the start
of Ctier. I got to bring up Frost Mage. I I think it's very simple, man. Arcane's just the star of the show. I like Frost Mage's like control the best. I think their damage is good, but I their tier set is just not good. Like I
don't like it really. Um especially for a mythic plus environment. It's just not great. Now for raiding, it's a little bit better. I will be real. If we're talking about pure rating, I'll put, you know, frost mage Btier, high Btier. But
[ __ ] Uh they lost a lot of potential because their defensive capabilities are now on par with the other specs where the best thing about Frost Mage season one was they had two absorb shields, but now in this case with this season, now
every spec has two absorbs, you know, multiple blocks and stuff like arcane is just dealing more damage. Very simple to pick up. I frost is just it's not control, but once again, just just not scaling well. Moving on next to
marksmanship hunter. I'm going to try to keep this one short and sweet. I I think the spec is just boring. Now, um I I know this isn't a fun tier list. Their know this isn't a fun tier list. Their damage can be good, like really high. If
if this is pure raw numbers, their damage is I would say B+ tier, maybe a minus tier. The problem is is hunter utility is so bad, dude. And this goes
for survival, too. Like survival's in a similar scenario where like maybe we can survival. This is kind of a two for one section here. I mean, their utility is just pretty bad. I like their defensive capability. That's nice. I like their
mobility as well, but in order for Hunter, it's a similar concept to Rogue. Like, in order for them to be meta or considered a great valuable spec to bring, their damage needs to be good, man. and and right now it's it's just
not it's not as high as some of these other specs. It's not keeping up with keeping up with Havoc. It's not keep Frost, Windalker, and Holy Arcane Arms. Frost, Windalker, and Holy Arcane Arms. It's just not like and don't like, don't
like, have you ever seen bansheers hilarious what he does on a marksman, but guess what? All marksmanship hunters aren't banters. Like, it's just not going to happen. I'll watch this dude
play and he'll nuke everything. The average marksmanship hunter is a thinking like, "Okay, this guy's a one trick. He's going to slap." Yeah. And he ends up doing [ __ ] and he'll die. And then type GG in the chat. Sorry for the
brick key. Okay, man. It is what it is. So, like, I think their potential's good. They have to be played well. Their utility is not great. It is what it is. I I need my knockup trap back. You know what I mean? Like, I at least want that
they got rid of that. That was good utility that they needed. They got rid of it. I don't know. Moving on. Next now, let's go to the final bit tier. Um starting off first, we're going subtlety rogue. Um Subrogue, man. I I don't like
spec. Like they're trying to add more damage outside of Shadow Dance, but that was the whole gimmick of Subrogue since literally I think the Burning Crusade is
when they got Shadow Dance. I I could be wrong. I maybe wrath, but like this has been their gimmick forever. You come out of stealth, you deal really high damage out of stealth for like 5 to 8 seconds. You pop your shadow dance with some good
damage, and you line up cool downs to high priority targets. That's all of Subroges MO. So like they reduce that by a lot. Don't like that idea. That's number one. Not only that, the damage supplement for this is just not as high
you're not keeping up with assassination rogue at all on Subrogue right now, which is just funky. Their tier set sucks. I think the design of their talent tree could be a bit better. Gormal's bite isn't great either. They
that. It really didn't end up doing too well. I don't know. I think sub just supplemented into my shadow dance windows. You don't need to change that these other specs needed it. I think Ellie needed it. Enhance needed it.
Retribution Paladin as well. even Arms Warrior and it did them wonders, but not Subrogue. Like, shadow dance was like a 25 30 second cool down anyway. You don't need to [ __ ] with it. Just take me back, please. Moving on. Next, we have
Devastation Evoker. Um, I'm going to try to keep this another one short and sweet here. Um, Devastation right now with all these changes just simply is not translating well. Um, I don't think Scale Commander is doing good in a
mythic plus environment. So, you know, naturally you want flame shaper to be that headliner for devastation and mythic plus. And the damage is just not good enough. Like single target is literal tank damage. Like if you're on a
boss fight on a flame shaper build with devastation, it is literally tank devastation, it is literally tank damage. It is bad. So I can't play flame shaper and uncapped AoE scenarios. So I'm stuck playing this disintegrate spam
deep breath build and it I'm not keeping up with some of these other specs. I'm not capable with arcane, not keep up with arms, not keep capable on holy. Not only that, like you don't bring a group buff that's valuable. So that freaking
The only thing you bring is blood lust. So like I don't know. I I think the damage we need substantially more damage on flame shaper. Like this [ __ ] needs to get buffed through the moon to make them valuable. And uh sadly that's just not
the case. Moving on. Next now we have beast mastery hunter. Similar situation don't like I don't think there's anything wrong with Beast Mastery's like damage profile. I think raw damage wise they're pretty average, but like utility
is just not great. Like and it's just not as high as some of the other specs. Like you can't have average damage at at like best and then have trash utility. Like I'm sorry if I'm fleshing out a group comp. I am not going to invite
someone that at their best deals mid damage and brings nothing to my party. happen. And by the way, hate to talk [ __ ] most beast mastery hunters not that. Listen, it's a stereotype for a reason. I'm not saying it. I'm just just
truth of the matter is is like most of them are pretty eh players mechanically. either going to play marksmen or survival. That's what they want to play. Like I don't know. I I think Beast Master is going to do fine in their solo
content and and go about their day, but just just not enough for me personally. And then lastly, we have Fury Warrior. I'm putting them on the D tier as well. Warrior is crushing it right now across the board. It doesn't matter. Single
the board. It doesn't matter. Single target AoE utility is the same. You're simply just hindering yourself right now at the moment. And it's sad. Shout out to my boy Canadian. It's sad right now that Fury Warrior, their damage is just
absolutely not going to keep up with Arms Warrior. And like it's going to be harder to get into a group as a fury warrior when arms is just S tier. [laughter] I don't know what else to say. Like there it's it's the same spec.
say. Like there it's it's the same spec. It like copy paste. Simply just put it's easier to play. Lower AoE cap, lower damage. Like you'll do some more pure single target, but like man because of how arms is doing so well AoE, you could
even go slayer and do way more damage. So like I don't know, man. I I think Fury Warrior needs some adjustments. I I like the spec. I think it's fun. Really like good pacing on the APM, but just not hitting as hard as Arms Warrior
is. But yeah, ladies and gentlemen, that is going to be my final tier list more videos coming up. Uh some interesting concepts on how to pick your main. One last video and then also one video on start to finish what to do week
