Hi, I'm Barbara, I'm the owner at Missy's Makeup in Glasgow. We specialise in semi -pemaroon makeup and we've created some videos for you guys to watch and hopefully it will help answer any questions that you may have if you're thinking of having your lips done. Lips are hugely popular at the moment. We have a ton of requests every single day for them but one of the things that you need to know about lips before you get them done is if you've ever had a cold sore of any kind we will not tattoo your lips. It will absolutely trigger the virus. It will spread the cold sores further than the original source of the infection and you won't like it very much and it won't be worth your money having it done. So no cold sores, no lips, it just won't happen. For the lucky ladies that can have it done, it is painful, yes it's painful. You can have it done. It is painful, yes it's painful for the first five minutes and we have to run needles over your lips and no matter how hard we try to make that comfortable for you, it will sting. If you ask any of our clients they'll tell you that just for the first five minutes or so it was very painful and after that we get you nice and numb and you can relax into the treatment and you won't feel really much of anything for the rest of the night. You do have to avoid alcohol, hot drinks, tea, coffee, everything like that for to avoid alcohol, hot drinks, tea, the next few days. If you have a big night out we recommend that you put it off until afterwards or you come at the beginning of the week on a Monday so that you have all week to recover from the lip treatment. Afterwards you will be slightly swollen and lips are always much darker when they're first done than when they heal but we will discuss colours with you. We'll draw on some nice templates and you just have to be prepared to leave trust in us that how they look when you look. You just have to be prepared to leave. Trust in us that how they look when you leave is not how they look when they're actually healed up.
