[00:01] looking the part, fancy titles, [music] front row seats, everyone knowing your name. But Jesus called that out hard. He told the crowds, these religious live [music] it. They pile rules on you while chasing applause for themselves.
[00:15] Here's what blew my mind. True [music] greatness isn't about the spotlight, it's about serving in the shadows. Jesus dropped this truth bomb. Whoever exalts [music] himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be
[00:27] exalted. So here's the deal. God doesn't care about your image, he cares about your heart. Stop performing, start loving. Matthew 23:1-12. Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples saying, "The scribes and the
[00:41] chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens hard to carry and lay them
[00:54] on people's shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to [music] move them. All their works are performed to be seen. They widen their phylacteries [music] and lengthen their tassels. They love places of honor at banquets,
[01:07] seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, [music] Rabbi. As for you, [music] do not be called Rabbi. You have but one teacher and you are all
[01:20] brothers. Call no one on earth your father. You have but one father in heaven. Do not be [music] called master. You have but one master, the Christ. The [music] Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, but whoever humbles himself
[01:34] humbled, but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
