[0:30] so many youtubers spending a lot of time
[0:32] working on their characters lore
[0:34] and that is amazing some youtubers have
[0:37] actually showed me their lore and i'm
[0:39] just literally reading
[0:41] pages upon pages about their character's
[0:44] background
[0:44] and story and i don't know i just find
[0:47] it incredibly fascinating to see how
[0:49] creative some of you are
[0:50] the amount of time and hours spent
[0:53] crafting your vtuber's
[0:54] oc is already a workload but then
[0:58] to topple on actual lore for your
[1:00] character
[1:01] wow you must be some sort of youtuber
[1:03] extraordinaire
[1:05] can i um borrow some of those
[1:08] creative brain juices um i mean
[1:11] bounce some ideas off each other now you
[1:12] see i'm not
[1:14] creative in that sense i'm someone who
[1:16] excels in visual representation
[1:19] but i fail at storytelling oh
[1:23] i don't really have a lot of lore from
[1:25] my youtuber i
[1:27] kinda do but i hope you all realize
[1:31] that lewd things
[1:34] like hand holding hugging
[1:39] kissing that's all gonna get you sent to
[1:42] home
[1:43] jail okay all right and you don't want
[1:46] me to drag you there
[1:48] so be on your best behaviors okay it's
[1:51] honestly a huge work in progress
[1:53] and even though i already debuted
[1:55] sometimes i can't help
[1:56] but to get a little bummed out because i
[1:59] didn't spend more time working
[2:01] on my lore especially seeing how amazing
[2:04] other youtubers lures are
[2:06] but mari we aren't going down the
[2:08] comparing apples to oranges in the v
[2:10] tuber rabbit hole okay
[2:11] if you're feeling the same way as me
[2:13] well i just wanted to let you know that
[2:15] having lore for your v
[2:16] super is stellar and all and yeah it can
[2:19] greatly enhance your viewer bases
[2:21] immersion of your character and the
[2:22] whole
[2:23] world that you live for your content
[2:25] creation but it isn't
[2:27] necessary to have you can continue being
[2:29] a youtuber without
[2:30] any sort of character lore and build on
[2:33] it as time
[2:34] goes on some people are just simply a
[2:36] hey
[2:37] i'm a high schooler that is you know
[2:39] secretly a magical girl
[2:41] and that that's really it and they just
[2:42] continue their entire youtuber career
[2:44] with just that
[2:45] and that's perfectly okay i really love
[2:47] this one comment i saw on a reddit post
[2:49] about beattuber lore
[2:51] and it goes a little something like this
[2:53] of course the idea that youtubers are
[2:55] these otherworldly
[2:56] anime-like characters that came to life
[2:58] is a huge part of their appeal but anime
[3:01] characters aren't all ninjas and pirates
[3:03] what makes anime characters and v tubers
[3:05] so ideal and dreamy
[3:08] isn't so much of what they are but how
[3:10] they
[3:11] act speak and behave so what's important
[3:13] isn't
[3:14] what role you play but how well you play
[3:17] it
[3:18] i just really liked this comment a lot
[3:20] because i resonate with that
[3:22] idea if you want to spend a lot of time
[3:24] writing about your lore then great take
[3:26] all the time and energy you need to
[3:28] write that novel but don't let it get
[3:30] overbearing or burn you out i've been
[3:32] seeing some post on my timeline lately
[3:34] of people's
[3:36] not even wanting to work on their beat
[3:37] super lore because of how stressful it
[3:39] is
[3:40] and all this pressure that viewers are
[3:42] giving for these content creators to
[3:44] shell out this lore honestly you if
[3:46] you're someone who has been kind of
[3:48] antsy about a youtuber's lore try to
[3:50] take a breather not everyone is as
[3:52] creative
[3:53] in writing and narrating a whole story
[3:56] so be patient
[3:57] having lore is not what defines you as a
[3:59] youtuber like i said it can help make
[4:01] your audience feel more immersed in your
[4:03] youtuber world or relate to your
[4:04] character but
[4:05] it won't make or break you i hope this
[4:07] video can stimulate a discussion about
[4:09] youtuber lore i
[4:10] really really love reading about a
[4:13] character's background story and i think
[4:15] it would be
[4:16] a lot of fun to showcase some v tuber
[4:18] lore in some future videos
[4:20] maybe one of these days we can have a
[4:22] lore showcase
