theme. See, in almost every Spider-Man story, Peter struggles with balancing his life as Peter Parker with his duties as Spider-Man. Raimi's Spider-Man 2 showed us what happened when he fully embraced his identity as Peter Parker.

happens when you abandon your personal life for a crime-fighting crusade. Banner is also an example of somebody who's trying to keep his monstrous dark half contained. But most importantly, Sadie Sink's Jean Grey is somebody who
learned to use it with great responsibility. >> He said it! He said it! >> Yeah, I don't know about that. I mean, Why is she the bad guy? >> Well, the point of the movie is that
Peter has become so good at being Spider-Man that no normal villain could actually be a credible threat. Instead, the overarching threat for him is that he is a workaholic who needs to look after himself. I feel extremely seen by
this movie. Now, the irony here is that nobody remembers who he is except for his enemy, Jean Grey. She is the only person he can actually relate to. Jean is also a perfect example of somebody who has abandoned any hope for a normal
life. So, symbolically, she is living her life through other people's bodies There's even a chance that when she kisses Peter through MJ, that might be her very first kiss. Now, in the climax of the movie, Damage Control is holding
Jean at their facility on Roosevelt Island, which has special significance where the climax of part one was filmed. >> We are who we choose to be. >> No. >> Now, all through the movie, Damage
Control has slowly shown us how their original mission has become corrupted. to mitigate damage from superhero battles, but over the past few years, we have seen them evolve into an agency that puts far more emphasis on control.
First, they appropriated Stark drones in No Way Home, and then used them against Then, in this movie, we see them use Sarah Grey's telepathic powers to mind control the hand. Now, the head of Damage Control is William Metzger,

Jean has two turning points in the movie's climax. The first is when she sees that vent max has been tattered and actually reads V max, her sister's dying that they tortured and killed her sister, and the trauma of this knowledge

as Peter Parker. But for Jean, this is a moment where she's finally able to experience empathy. Instead of just reading somebody's thoughts, she gets to feel what they feel. Jean has gone through this movie not allowing herself
to relate to anyone else. She closed herself off from others after her sister died, but finally in this moment she and Peter have found someone they can each relate to. They've both lost people and because of that they've lost sight of
the reason for living. Then he saves her life, taking a bullet for her, and she returns the favor by using her powers to keep him alive. Later, when Peter leaves people cheering for Spider-Man who have no idea who he is.
>> They love me. >> Frank wears the Spider-Man mask to get cheers from the crowd, and in this moment Peter is finally able to sever Spider-Man is important. He's the hero of New York, but it's also possible for
him to walk away and live a normal life. Now, all through the movie Peter is continuously buying flowers for Aunt May's grave in order to honor the dead until that party crash scene when he inadvertently brings flowers to the
living, Ned and MJ. He's about to buy more flowers for May when he catches sight of Ned in the deli, and this is just a beautiful moment. We already saw that Ned and Spider-Man get along like they were old friends. And Peter now
decides to re-meet his old friend but without his mask. And when he shakes his special handshake that we first saw in Homecoming. Now the look on Ned's face, at first he is confused like his hand is moving without his knowledge. And this
is similar to how Spider-Man's body was able to dodge while he was in his astral >> You should not be able to do that. >> Now, I bring this up because I think here. At the end of the handshake, the cobwebs are gone and Ned says, "Peter?"
as we cut to black. And this, of course, isn't tradition with other Spider-Man smash cut cliffhanger. >> Now, but why did Ned remember Peter, but MJ didn't? Simple. Ned has inherent magic abilities.
>> This is why he was able to use a sling ring in No Way Home. He even said that >> I have magic. >> Maybe the special handshake activated moving his hands was acting like conducting a spell. This is why Ned was
able to break through the memory spell because of his magical abilities. >> Well, look, they could spend the next movie trying to help her break the spell, but frankly, I think the series is a lot better if they don't. When
comics, this actually shut the door on many potential Spider-Man stories. Peter always has to be the hard luck guy and I we just can't feel that bad for a guy Now, in the comics, they did end up breaking up Peter and MJ after he made a
deal with Mephisto to keep his aunt alive. Later, the two would become friends and I think they should do the same thing here. So, in future movies, Black Cat or Gwen Stacy and he could remain friends with MJ. I don't think MJ
would even want her memory restored. Like when she discovers Peter's note, she refers to her past self as a different person and pretty much says, >> You know, I'm still not who you want me to be.
But who you are ain't so bad. >> But maybe in the very last Tom Holland movie, the two will finally get together and then this could unlock her old enhanced abilities could unlock the part

his job, but that just means that a new boss is going to replace him. It could anti-mutant stance, like Henry Peter Gyrich. In the comics, he is a X-Men. >> Did you honestly [music] think we'd roll
over and let mutants take over the planet? Tolerance is extinction. >> Now, as I said earlier, Damage Control has slowly become a more threatening group. They started off as a government agency with a broad range of duties, but
bureaucrats to take advantage of their funding and amplify their jurisdiction. In the show Wonderman, we saw that their number one goal now is to arrest more and more people with powers to simply justify their own existence. So, when
they're going to lock them up with no trial, which is what they did to Trevor Slattery in that show. Damage Control is also about to hit a bonanza as mutants will start appearing all over the world. >> how the government will respond? They'll
reintroduce the registration act. >> Or worse, the president could declare a state of emergency, place every mutant in the country under arrest. the Department of Damage Control is rebranded as the Mutant Control Agency.
Stark's Iron Legion can be expanded and rebranded as Sentinels. And Peter Parker, God love him, just gave them a huge gift by creating the Inhibitor Chip >> Well, I mean, when you put it like that. >> Bruce Banner even asks Peter, "How do
you know what powers you want to inhibit? How do you decide what part of nature is good or bad?" This event is laying the foundation of anti-mutant bigotry. Now, Damage Control can repurpose that technology as the mutant
control collars that are used to enslave mankind in Days of Future Past. >> Power-dampening collar. Shuts down all mutant abilities. Can't >> And we also hear that Metzger is on the run, which makes me wonder if Tremmel
Tillman could return as the shape-shifting villain Mr. Sinister in disguise. So, Nathaniel Essex is a classic X-Men villain who we've actually although it is rumored that he will be played by Adam Driver. Mr. Sinister
specializes in genetics and has a particular obsession with the DNA of Scott Summers and Jean Grey. And it would make sense if Metzger also has this obsession because he has seen firsthand how powerful Jean Grey is. So,
it's looking like Charles Xavier is going to form his school as a sanctuary against the government. I would love to see an X-Men movie that starts with these kids as runaways, but then the professor has to gradually gather them
together. In fact, I think he should initially bring them together just they not use their powers as a paramilitary fighting force. But then, just like way back in X-Men issue one, when Magneto attacks, he realizes that
the world needs to see heroic mutants and he forms the X-Men. Now, in the comics, Jean was actually Charles' first student. He helped her control her telepathic abilities when the death of her sister triggered them, which
the third act of this film. So, maybe Jean is once again his first student and then helps him gather other students to the school. Now, we do see her on a bus headed into a rural area that could be upstate New York, maybe not far from
County. We could also keep seeing mutants introduced in other movies to make us really understand that, "Hey, these kids are lost. They need a home." these kids are lost. They need a home." >> I'm not a kid anymore. I'm one of you,
one of the X-Men, and it means more to me than anything in the world. >> Now, in the comics, Jean is one of the most powerful mutants on Earth and we see her grow and evolve just at the ending of this movie. She starts off
with a 30-ft range for her powers, but then, through trauma, her abilities expand. And this is actually similar to what unlocked Deadpool's powers, like we saw in the first film. Now, in the comics and in X-Men '97, we have seen
mutants undergo a secondary mutation, like Emma Frost gaining the ability to turn into diamond. But, this isn't really what happened to Jean. She just unlocked more of her potential. And I just have to say, when Jean unlocked her
power in this movie, I am really, really glad that they didn't have like Phoenix The Phoenix saga is one of the greatest comics ever told and they keep adapting it wrong in the movies. See, the reason the Phoenix force initially attached
itself to Jean is because she is a super powerful mutant, like we see in this movie. And now, after this incident, I think Jean, going forward, will be afraid to lose control of her powers again, which means that in the future,
if she ever does become possessed by the Phoenix force, it can seduce her by slowly unlocking her power, which, by the way, is what happened in the original Phoenix Saga comics. However, rumor has it that before we see her in
X-Men, Sadie Sink will instead return in Avengers Secret Wars. Now, in the 2015 Secret Wars comic, Doom collects the remnants of the multiverse and remakes them into Battleworld. He rules this planet as God Emperor, but crucially, no
one remembers the universe from before, except for a select group of characters who survived on a space arc built by Reed Richards. Now, there is speculation that the film will adapt this idea, but with different characters on the ship.
Some possibilities include Sadie Sink's Jean Grey, because after all, when would be handy to have a telepath who can help people remember. We could also Maybe Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and maybe Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man or Tom
the possibilities are limitless, but I think Tom Holland's a lock for reasons let's talk about the post-credit scene. So, we see Ned's spider tracker software there's a new Spider-Man sighting, but the location is unknown. Now, earlier in
the movie, we saw this app was filled with different Spider-Man sightings, but here, New York is devoid of any Spidey icons. So, then the camera's forced to pull out and move away from Earth until it lands somewhere in space and says
location found. Now, look, it's not like Ned has a tracker on Spider-Man. The only way for someone to actually report him when he's in space is if someone in space was using the spider tracker and reports a sighting. And the only person
means that Peter is in space, but he's using the spider tracker software to let Ned know that he is safe and in outer space. Now, the end credits tell us that Spider-Man will return, but they don't
few possible implications here. Now, a lot of people are wondering why Tom Doomsday cast, and there's two really good reasons for this. One, in this movie, Yelena establishes that in her eyes, there are some problems that are
Spider-Man jobs, and the big problems are Avengers jobs. So, when the multiversal crisis hits, Yelena would not call Peter Parker. See, she has no idea that he has any multiversal experience. The other reason for Tom
practical. While they were filming Doomsday, Tom Holland was busy filming Spider-Man Brand New Day. So, he could pop up in a cameo or a post-credit a larger role till Secret Wars. But, I do think that at the end of Doomsday,
the heroes have lost. Doom will destroy the multiverse. But, Reed's rocket can serve as a kind of space ark. Just like in the comics, he can't save his entire family, but he is able to save a ragtag group of variants. For whatever reason,
this includes Peter. And when he's in space, he sends a message via the Spidey tracker to let Ned know that he is off the planet. And then, the multiverse is few people who remember the old universe. Now, there's also speculation
that Doomsday will end with Doctor Doom presiding over his new world and revealing that he has the face of Tony Stark. So, in Secret Wars, Peter's greatest enemy will have the face of his father figure. This is a great storyline
to tell, so I think it makes sense to save it for Tom Holland's Peter Parker Doom's face has been revealed. I also think it's likely he will reteam with Peter number two. He and Toby can discuss their organic webs and how itchy
original Secret Wars comic did have a lasting impact on Peter Parker. On Battleworld, he obtained the black costume that turned out to be the alien symbiote. The Russo brothers said years ago that the 1984 version of Secret Wars
were growing up. Mine, too. And you know that they just can't pass up the chance to replicate this panel on screen. So, I think Spider-Man will definitely get his black suit in Secret Wars, which brings us to a vital character in this movie,
Police Captain Jean DeWolff. In the comics, she's a close ally of Spider-Man until she is murdered. Then, a reporter named Eddie Brock mistakenly thinks he proves him wrong, it ruins his career. Brock swears revenge on Spider-Man,
which is why when Peter rejects the Symbiote, it bonds with Eddie Brock. So, I 100% think this movie is setting up an entire film with Spider-Man wearing the black suit, which is going to be followed by a full-on Spider-Man versus
Venom movie for the sixth Tom Holland film. And if you notice, we also see that Damage Control has developed sonic weapons, probably adapted from the Hulk in The Incredible Hulk. Now, these same cannons can also be used against
