[00:00] by all of the information that you run into in order to get the most out of the efforts And as somebody that's been making videos for YouTube [00:13] I'm here to tell you there's a lot of things that you can do when it comes to growing your YouTube channel. But there are things that if you focus on them [00:27] So I'm gonna lay it all out for you on things that are not gonna make a difference at all, And by the way, if this is your first time here, [00:39] and learn how to use all the tools so you don't miss a video that could help you. a lot of people connect consistency [00:52] publishing on YouTube consistently However, the more important thing into your lifestyle so that you can ensure [01:06] And another part about consistency before we move on because if you're doing something on a regular basis, It's easy to start remembering shortcuts that you take. [01:21] and it just makes the process a lot easier Plus, if you're gonna do the thing, then you're not really doing the thing. [01:35] with your channel is your ability And I know that sounds obvious and it sounds general, that video can do really good [01:49] And I'm not saying not to make videos but what I'm saying is if you can come up it can make a huge difference for your YouTube channel [02:03] or you'll be the first one with that content. and you don't know what videos to make with a really good unique idea yet, it's okay. [02:17] to where you can see another creator which means that people have enjoyed that video. and make topically similar videos. [02:29] and you really wanna lead the pack in your niche, is going to be the path to get there. on your YouTube channel is taking the time to learn [02:42] Now, if this is your first time watching a video like this, it simply means making your thumbnail in your title for the video that represents the video in an accurate way, [02:57] This is a skill and an art form. and if you can't get people to click on those videos, When it comes to packaging up your content, [03:11] and title when you are at the ideation process through a good thumbnail and title, to that awesome video that you're making [03:24] You come up with the idea of the video about how you're going to package that idea, to compel people to click on it. [03:37] then you can prove that that idea is a good idea in the right way that will get people to click on it about how the thumbnail and title work together [03:53] The thumbnail grabs the attention and the title is the thing that actually pulls the people the better you're going to do. [04:07] is YouTube is in the process right now of rolling out multi-language audio, to upload dubbed audio in different languages [04:20] you can also translate your metadata, If you think about this now where you're not relying on text to do all the work for you, [04:35] more accessible internationally. and the big opportunity that we have laying in front of us you got your packaging for that idea. [04:48] you need to learn how to measure the response YouTube is tracking how they're interacting And if you learn how to measure that response [05:00] you're gonna learn how to make better videos faster. of being a content creator, that you need to make sure that you're focusing on [05:12] When it comes to your YouTube analytics, The first one is your click through rate compared to how often YouTube shows your content to someone. [05:27] Number two is your audience retention reports. they are a second by second graph of how people respond is you wanna look for drop off points [05:42] where people have rewound the video at that particular timestamp. that tells you people skipped that part, [05:56] the content that keeps people watching and engaged the most. you also wanna make sure that you are choosing The reason that you wanna do this [06:10] against other videos of similar length on the platform. they're available for your long form videos, and you can use these to get a really good understanding [06:25] Number three is you wanna pay attention how many new people that you're getting in front of that are just coming back and watching your videos. [06:38] that people are watching on other channels. It's going to show you the formats of content It's gonna show you where they're watching from, [06:50] based on when your viewers are online. to all of those things because they're all really important, to make better content for the people [07:04] that you're thinking about how you're linking Now, this is something that nobody really talks about, it's important to think about over time. [07:16] what could I tell them to watch next on the channel? If somebody's coming into this particular video over here, to where I can drive people into that playlist, [07:29] If you plan those types of things out in advance, and it can also help you lead viewers to them based on their interests [07:41] For this, you can use your in screens, you can use YouTube cards, you can use playlist, like there's a bunch of different ways [07:54] to find more of the content they care about on your channel. and that you are thinking about how those paths could go If you do this, [08:09] because you're making it easier for people you're going to get more watch time for that same reason, because people are gonna be watching more than one video, [08:22] to your channel once they see the additional value instead of thinking one video, one video, one video, what can I build out as a playlist or a series, [08:36] to make those paths easy for my viewers to follow Next is distribution. obviously more views equals more impact [08:49] So because of that, it's important to think about, So the way that I do it is I use a service called Opus Clip. and live streams and stuff, [09:02] that I can then upload into YouTube shorts, So if you are wanting I'll put a link to Opus Clip down in the description. [09:17] if you end up getting busy to where you can't make content, to publish content because you can do vertical content, It just gives you that opportunity [09:30] that you've already made if you're in a pickle, The next thing to really focus hard on is authenticity. [09:42] It's been a huge core factor when it comes to YouTube, they'll come onto YouTube, or they'll try to act like a news broadcaster, [09:57] where they're screaming at the camera but keep in mind that those things are appropriate but it's not appropriate for everything. [10:11] that are on the other side of the camera, like you're talking to a friend. in how you present overall, [10:25] in a more authentic way. and this is gonna sound crazy, so bear with me, that you occasionally talk out loud [10:39] And again, I know this sounds crazy, because you're gonna be practicing it And the reason for this is because it's really easy [10:54] and you're talking to a camera to talk at the camera, that are on the other side of the camera it's important to make sure that you're practicing that [11:07] and talk at the camera instead of talking to the people And as a pro tip, when you're communicating, it's also helpful to think that you're talking to one person [11:20] "Hey, guys," in that particular case, instead of you, right? So as you're watching this right now and I'm talking to you, [11:33] that it is you that I'm talking to. and I'm using that approach, it makes it feel like, you can feel exactly what it is that I'm talking about. [11:48] to be thinking about," it's a totally different thing and not about the person that's watching your videos. and it will help you make better connections [12:03] learn about the people that you're serving Learn about the things that bother them. Learn about the things that they're most interested in, [12:16] If you combine that with everything else And look, if you're a new content creator, and people that are trying to sell you stuff [12:29] It's a really informative video so make sure you click into that video. and I'll see you over here in the next one.
