## Summary

In this video, the creator announces that their Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle deep-dive video was taken down by Aniplex due to a copyright strike. They explain the lack of fair use in Japan, their appeal process, and the necessary changes to their planned series.

### Key Points

- **Copyright strike from Aniplex** [00:16] — The creator's Demon Slayer Infinity Castle deep-dive was taken down by Aniplex as a copyright strike. An appeal has been filed, and the video may return in 10-14 days.
- **Japan has no fair use** [00:42] — Aniplex employees likely copyright strike any video using movie content because Japan lacks fair use laws, so any use is considered infringement.
- **Fair use appeal likely to succeed** [01:14] — The creator filed an appeal based on fair use in their location, forcing Aniplex to pay to challenge it, so the video will likely be reinstated.
- **Three strikes and channel is gone** [02:10] — If a YouTube channel receives three copyright strikes within 90 days, it is permanently removed with no chance to return.
- **Why the strike happened now** [03:02] — The movie was recently released, so Aniplex is actively monitoring and striking any videos that use movie content.
- **Video was 98% commentary** [05:24] — The creator argues their video was mostly original analysis with minimal clips, unlike typical reactors who just play the movie and make faces.
- **Future series rework** [05:52] — The creator plans to rework the rest of the series without anime clips to avoid strikes, respecting Aniplex's wishes.

### Conclusion

The creator faces a copyright strike that forces them to rework their Demon Slayer series without clips, while also taking a personal break to recharge and reassess their approach.

## Transcript

definitely was not planning on being camera-ready today and I did not want to go through the effort of being camera-ready or even of moving the chair out of my background. So, as you might have seen on my community tab or from a
lot of other reactors, my Demon Slayer Infinity Castle part one deep dive got taken down by Aniplex as a copyright strike. So, yeah, that happened. Um I
did file an appeal or whatever they call it. So, it'll likely be back in like 10 to 14 days. Something that I think a lot of channels aren't really talking about when they make this video is uh Japan
does not have fair use laws. So, essentially what's happening is someone who works for Aniplex has probably just been assigned the job of going on YouTube and copyright striking any video that uses
any type of content from the movie and that's well within their right to do there is no such thing as fair use. So, they see any use of their content as they see any use of their content as copyright infringement. Now, I still am
going to file an appeal. I already did because I can fight back with, "Hey, fair use." because of where I am located and they have to like pay to fight it back. So, likely will be reinstated. I've never dealt with this before, but
other creators where they have dealt with this before, they've done this and they've never had it be an issue. It's just been reinstated. Um I'm in a slightly different position because all of these other reactors did do like a
one-and-done. So, they just want this video reinstated and then they can move one. >> [laughter] >> I was planning on splitting it into three or four parts depending on if I
wanted to make Akaza's backstory its own video. I've already recorded part two in the same format as part one. I got this strike right after I finished recording. So, I am probably going to have to
rethink and look at it and see if there's any salvaging it. Even though I think my first one will get reinstated, I don't want to chance it because for those of you who don't know, if you get three copyright strikes within like 90
days of each other, your channel gets completely removed and you don't have the opportunity to ever make one again. Let's not do that. >> [laughter] >> So, as much as it sucks and likely, you
know, these videos are not going to perform that well, I'm going to have to take out all of the clips of the anime and probably just more specify what I'm talking about. It's not going to be as interesting.
It's going to be kind of jarring. People are probably not going to care as much what it is. Again, I I understand why this happens. The reason that it's specifically happening to this movie and not to like all of the
other Demon Slayer reaction content out there is because this movie just came out, so they're probably checking. So, it is what it is. As someone who did support the theatrical release, unlike all of these other reactors, which many
of them also clearly watched a illegal leak and then waited to post until it was officially out, which is that's another video for another day.
everything I can. I have been very, very vocal about being against leaks and that sort of thing, so to still get this just goes to show they don't care >> at all um about loyalty or anything, which not that I would really expect
Um on top of that, I have had a really hard week in my personal life. So, there's not going to be any video tomorrow for my Saturday upload. I do need to kind of sit down and try and
part two. I might literally have to re-record it, which would suck. I recorded for 90 minutes, but it is what it is. Um I need to take this weekend to not think about it.
I need to like my friends are coming over. We're going to watch the movie. Sunday I'm going to watch a bunch of One Piece with my husband. I need that. I need some just like chill time because I
need some just like chill time because I have been continuing to post because especially when it's about Demon Slayer and the new movie. So I have been able to keep up on it for the most part because it's just been something that is
making me happy in a week that I am very emotionally unstable. So I've been doing it, but I think this just kind of was the universe telling me like I need to slow down and I need to take a breath. So this weekend I'm going
I'll kind of try and figure out what I'm going to do, but at the earliest part however I'm going to edit it is going to come out on Wednesday. I I don't even think I can include stills. Like genuinely I don't want to chance it
either. So that's what I'm thinking. I might just scrap the plan all together and do it in a few months when they're not as strict. I might do that and just post other videos right now. I don't know. I don't
know. But there's not going to be a new video tomorrow. I will have to wait and then figure it out. So it does suck. I would say my video is a little bit different than reactors. I felt like maybe I was going to be safe when I
started seeing them post about it because I would say my video is like 98% me yapping and 2% clips of the anime, but like, "Oh, take that down because copyright." Like this is my video.
Like there's barely any of your content in here. I think my video is different argument to be had about reactors. They faces. So, you know, it is what it is, but I'm
back up, and then I am going to just have to redo how I'm going to do the rest of the series because I don't want to chance it, and I want to respect really just don't want people posting anything regarding the movie with
visuals or sound, then it is what it is. That's what they want. I'm not going to fight back on it too much. They've created my favorite show on the planet, so it is what it is. But, that's going to be that. That's it for this video. I
to be that. That's it for this video. I will see you all later. Bye.
