# SEO Website Recovery Guide - Kasra Dash

> Source: [SEO Website Recovery Guide - Kasra Dash](https://youtube.com/watch?v=rGERTJa8EPc)

## Summary

Kasra Dash presents a comprehensive guide to recovering websites after Google algorithm updates, using the collapse of the Mongolian Empire as an analogy for overexpansion. The talk covers key recovery areas: mindset, overexpansion, E-E-A-T signals, and backlink toxicity, with practical steps for content pruning and link profile cleanup.

### Key Points

- **Website Recovery Overview** [00:44] — Talk covers recovering websites after tanking from Helpful Content Update or core algorithm updates. Four key points: mindset, overexpansion, E-E-A-T signals, backlink toxicity.
- **Mindset After a Hit** [03:42] — Kasra shares personal story: his gambling website dropped from $30-40K/month to $2.5-5K/month, value fell from $2M to $130K. He felt SEO was dead but later learned growth isn't always linear.
- **Overexpansion – Content Pruning** [07:08] — Bad pages can impact entire domain. Use Screaming Frog with Google Search Console data (12 months) to find low-impression pages. Consider other traffic sources (email, social, referral, Bing, paid ads) before pruning.
- **Cost of Crawl** [09:49] — Google's cost to crawl increases with poor-quality pages. Example: 18 pages with 9 poor cost $18, but only half useful, so site ranks lower. Content pruning improves page rank by concentrating link equity.
- **Topical Authority vs. Coverage** [17:15] — Plastering AI content for topical coverage dilutes authority. A page that gets all traffic defines the site's topic. Avoid hide-and-seek with content; break long articles into focused pages.
- **E-E-A-T Signals** [21:43] — Offer transparency, expert highlights, credibility boosts (podcasts, awards), clear contact info. Real personas (e.g., David Goggins) build trust; fake ones (John Pickles) fail. Links and mentions off-site are critical.
- **Toxic Backlinks & Disavow** [31:16] — Many SEOs don't believe in disavow because tools like Ahrefs/Semrush don't account for link graph. GSA, forum links, mass Web 2.0s are ignored by Google. Toxic links are those with low trust and power in the link graph.
- **Testing Disavow** [42:42] — Kasra and a friend built toxic links to test: traffic dropped, disavow recovered it, removing disavow caused another drop. Proves disavow works. Toxic links for one site can be positive for another with stronger foundation.
- **Toxicity Threshold & Rejuvenation** [45:01] — Every site has a toxicity threshold (average of competitors). After disavow, do backlink rejuvenation (branded links to homepage, positive link velocity) to restore link profile. Take antidote before poison – proactive disavow.

### Conclusion

Recovering a tanked website requires a systematic approach: prune bad content, strengthen E-E-A-T signals with real personas, and clean up your backlink profile with proactive disavow and rejuvenation. Building a strong foundation allows your site to withstand future algorithm updates.

## Transcript

hello and welcome back to SEO stream it's been one hell of a day and I'm so thankful to be at the last presentation because I know how much value has been you for sticking with us throughout the day I know it's been a very very long
day and I hope you've got a ton of information out of us so far so for your last presentation of the day kazra dash is going to be running you through how to recover websites how to revive websites how to recover this Subs how to
recover SE everything put it together for kard dash ladies and gentlemen thanks for the introduction Charles so website recovery now my whole
talk is about recovering websites after they have essentially tanked I know that there are a lot of people that have tanked websites from The Helpful content update from core algor updates so we will be talking about that now I want to
start off the talk with a little bit of a story um this guy here is obviously a story um this guy here is obviously genas Khan and genas Khan ruled the Mongolian Empire it was one of the biggest Empires they ended up killing 40
million people in their entire lifespan from start to finish and according to a lot of sources online there are 20 million people right now that have the genas Canan DNA so he was a little bit of a player and and the
a little bit of a player and and the land was 24 million km squared which is the biggest landbased uh Empire throughout the entirety of History excluding the British
Empire and this is what their land looked like so as you can see all the way from China to the parts of Poland and Hungary they to the parts of Poland and Hungary they ruled it all and it was from 1206 to
1368 and this is what it looked like when they were expanding as you can see very aggressively expanding throughout the aggressively expanding throughout the entirety of Asia all up until the high
parts of Europe as well so why did the Mongolian Empire end up collapsing they obviously had a lot of leadership struggles now at near the end of the Mongolian Empire essentially what ended up happening is that yasan
obviously ended up dying and it got passed to a few of his brothers um and they all had massive conflicts some of them wanted to expand down into China other um areas wanted to expand more into Europe so there was just a lot of
leadership struggles they they obviously had overexpansion struggles and they had a lot of economic challenges now when you have obviously economic challenges and you have been overexpanded you end up essentially not being able to
economically provide to certain towns that might need a little bit more money and obviously they had military overextension as well so what I mean by that is when they were picking their battles more into Europe or if they
wanted to expand more into Asia um their military wasn't as sufficient as other mil other militaries so you're all probably wondering why am I talking about gasan and what's that got to do with website
recovery now not many people know gasan was actually hit by an algorithm update was actually hit by an algorithm update and this definitely isn't an AI image so that's a bit of a joke but the four key points about website recovery first of
all is obviously mindset second of all is overexpansion mindset second of all is overexpansion very similar to the Mongolian
so having the correct eat signals which we will go into in a little bit more detail and the fourth one is backlink toxicity so essentially building the toxicity so essentially building the correct links not just building spammy
correct links not just building spammy links and harming your very big website in the gambling space I still do I've actually got multiple
websites in the gambling space but my very first one was earning 30 to 40 Grand the month on average and the website was valued at 2 million this was approximately 3 and a half years ago now and we were in the process of selling
the website so as you can see we were traveling to places like Dubai me and my traveling to places like Dubai me and my business partners we were going to various masterminds across the world and we were just loving life we had a
massive website the website was valed at two at two 2 million and it was earning decent money every single month and then we got hit so the gambling website then we got hit so the gambling website then got put down to two and a half to 5K a
month it was only valued at 130 Grand now this being said nobody wants to buy a tanked website unless you actually know how to recover a website so when I say it was valued at 130 that's roughly what what we could possibly get but
again not many people want to essentially buy a tanked website it's not as appealing and yeah nobody wants to buy a tanked website so I done what everyone does and said
so I done what everyone does and said seo's dead I hate SEO and I started the Facebook ads agency which is ideally the the next step after your website tanks you're like right what can I do next so I started doing the lead generation for
a lot of Finance Industries in the UK mainly to do with ivas debt Dr etc etc and we very quickly scaled that up we were the biggest um call center in
we were the biggest um call center in the UK with 200 staff we ended up spending 6 million in one year and then the iOS update happened and again I was like what's going on here like I've done SEO I feel like I understand SEO I've
done Facebook ads and then I just feel felt like the entire world was coming felt like the entire world was coming down on me so then I hopped on a call with a very close friend of mine and I essentially explained this to like why
obviously done SEO I've done Facebook ads and he basically said that growth isn't always linear and what he meant by that is sometimes you need to take two steps back and learn what you've essentially done
wrong with so if you've done SEO and you've overexpanded on your content or to figure out and understand why the link building wasn't working or why the content wasn't working so this leads me
on to overexpansion so overexpansion I actually asked um recently in a poll um if people believe or if people have been hit by The Helpful content update as you can see there are a lot of
people that answered yes there's some people that answered no some people are very stable and some people just want to see the answer um but a lot of seos have been hit now there's some key points that you need to
there's some key points that you need to know the cost of Google to crawl the website and the bad pages that can impact your entire domain so for example if your website has 100 pages and 20 pages are bad it can impact the entire
pages are bad it can impact the entire 80 so small parts of your website can essentially impact bigger parts of your website even if you have 80 really well qualified helpful pieces of content they can get impacted by the 20 bad pieces
Unique Images so a lot of seos especially in the affiliate space or any guys that are trying to monetize their website using AdSense they don't use Unique Images so they end up getting essentially duplicated images and
duplicated images is very similar to duplicated content if Google has seen that image 5,000 because it's a stock image and everyone just goes on a stock website downloads a image to do with a desk Google's already seen that image if
you can actually get Unique Images that will help now in some cases you don't actually need to shoot the image yourself so you could essentially just download or you could just download the image of from a stock website and
essentially put your branding on it and that will be classed as some form of more of a unique image than just downloading a stock image and the last one is content pruning so content pruning has become a lot
pruning has become a lot more of a positive ranking Factor more so because there's a lot of websites that have been Blas in AI content on that have been Blas in AI content on their website and they essentially
haven't been keeping up to date with the latest trends so for example the best running shows 12 months ago that the AI content R isn't the best isn't the best running shoes now so you just need to bear that in mind sometimes
off of your website in other instances you might want to essentially re-evaluate it and re-update it so what is the cost of retrieval now Corey um which he isn't here today but he talks about this a lot now the cost
of retrieval is essentially how much it costs Google to crawl your website so in this example we have 18 pages and they are all pretty decent as we can see they
all cost $1 um for Google to crawl the website now website two oh website to again it's $1 to crawl the we to crawl every single page however we do have six pages that are
not the best quality so again it has cost Google $18 to crawl all of our Pages however that being said only 12 pages on website 2 is actually useful the other six they're not the best and website 3 again 18 Pages however we do
have nine pages so half the website isn't actually useful so in that instance if everything was equal if all the links for website 1 2 and three were the links for website 1 2 and three were equal if all the content was equal then
website 3 would naturally deserve to rank in position fre website 2 would naturally deserve to rank in position too mainly because of the cost of retrieval so you're you've actually ended up wasting wasting money on
websites two and three even though if you have the exact same links the exact same content and that's down to the amount of poor quality pages on the website so content printing using screaming frog
I'm hoping everybody that's watching this live stream knows what screaming frog is however if you don't if you go into configuration at the top then click on API access Google search console you plug in your Google search console and
set it to 12 months this is super important especially if any of you guys have some e-commerce websites mainly because if you don't set it to 12 months and you said it to let's say the last three months you might miss out some on
some Black Friday Pages um you might miss out on some seasonal Pages as well so for example if it is a winter only website if you only set a a three Monon
period you might miss out on for example summer or you might miss out on uh winter and basically what you will end up seeing is you will see your clicks your impressions your CTR and also the position for the page now anything that
has a low amount of Impressions and clicks they're essentially pages that whether that is pruning it off your website so getting rid of it 301 in it website so getting rid of it 301 in it 410 in it you might need to do that or
build more internal links refreshing up the content add Unique Images maybe even add a video an added bonus that you can also do is if you use Google analytics also do is if you use Google analytics data you can also see um the amount of
page views so the reason why I'm saying that you should also be looking at page views is in some cases let's say you have a page on your website and the page only gets internal link traffic so if you are only looking at clicks and
Impressions you might end up deleting a page that is actually providing value to you the users on your website now in this example I want everybody to stop thinking like an SEO because a lot of people will only take a
look at Google traffic we also want to be looking at internal link traffic we also want to be looking at social media traffic so if you if you have certain pages on your website that is only getting traffic from for example
Facebook or Twitter then in that case you're probably going to want to keep that page there's a lot of websites out there that only get traffic from Pinterest or they get majority of their traffic from Pinterest now if you were
to only be looking at Google search console data you might think that I'm going to delete this house renovation blog that gets no traffic however that from Pinterest and you've just deleted a very important page on your website the
next one is a email list so a lot of the guys in the industry especially in SEO have an email list that they will blast out certain pages or certain offers to and some of these Pages might get 60,000
10,000 hits just from a very quick email blast again certain pages like that we wouldn't want to prune off of our website same goes with referral traffic so if any of you guys are into your link building or into your PR you might be
getting traffic from your guest post or from your Niche edits or from PR again in some cases if you are only looking at search or Google search console traffic you will want to be looking at your referral traffic and Google analytics as
well same goes with other search engines now we have a lot of websites um and now we have a lot of websites um and some of our websites are to do with um some of our websites are to do with um School Renovations like doing
renovations in schools playgrounds Etc and the default browser in the UK in schools is Bing now if we were to only be looking at Google traffic we would say right okay we need to delete free 300 Pages here but if you were to
actually load your website up into Bing uh web Masters tool you might see that you're actually getting 60% of your traffic from Bing so that's another thing that you should also take into consideration I highly recommend anyone
to go and set up Bing web master tool and the last one is paid ads so again there's a lot of web pages that get a lot of paid ads traffic and in those
instances you won't want to delete those pages now if we were to look at basic internal Lincoln silos so this is the page rank simulator and the reason why I have pulled this up is because in some cases
pulled this up is because in some cases people say oh well does content pruning actually work so if we were to take a look at this we have page one which is our money page and page two to five let's say they're supporting articles
let's say they're supporting articles which is a very similar um style Silo structure that a lot of people in affiliate use and same with like some guys in local as well so if we look our page rank is
page rank is 0.28 0.282 and the page rank is supporting articles and if we were to remove two supporting articles from our
Pages we would go to a silo structure that looks like this and the page one money page and we have Pages three and four which are supporting articles four which are supporting articles now the money page goes up to 0.292 page
Rank and if we were to look at it what it was before it was actually it was before it was actually 0.282 now as we can see here we have obviously increased our page Rank and that's down to the fact that we have
less internal links and we have more internal link power going through to our internal link power going through to our money page same goes with our um same goes with our money page as well so it's went up to
so it's went up to 0.416 and before it was 0.18 so again the page rank has increased across the board so just bear that in mind when you are obviously removing articles that you will be increasing your page rank so
topical Authority versus topical coverage um again this is another thing that a lot of people are speaking about at the minute and the main reason why I want to talk about this is because we essentially have been Plastering AI
content with tools and we have mainly been going after topical coverage however the best way that I can describe this is if you have one page on your website talking about the Bible for example and you have
99 Pages talking about porn and the one page that is talking about the Bible gets all of your traffic Google deems your website as a Bible based website this is an example that Corey's given and we have tested this before on
various websites and it does um seem that it is true so for example if you have 999 pages and they aren't getting any traffic just bear in mind that if
it's not getting any traffic it's not getting any clicks Google sees it as a getting any clicks Google sees it as a waste of a waste of time and money when it comes to crawl on your website so topical
dilution you never want to play be playing hideand-seek with your content so after the helpful content update we have seen a lot of pages essentially prun off certain paragraphs um off of their website so what I mean
by that is if they have a monster 6,000 word article if a user has to scroll two and a half thousand Pages or two and a half thousand words down that's essentially being deemed as a bad user experience because you're playing
cases what you might want to do is actually break off certain subheadings and create them on their on their own page understanding the intent is very important and I'll show you the reason
why in just a second uh answering concise queries so second uh answering concise queries so again if you have a 6,000 word article that can be con that can be essentially condensed down into two and a half
thousand words and it's saying the exact same thing highly recommend doing that that's one thing that we have seen work very well especially in the affiliate very well especially in the affiliate space and as we can see here we have got
space and as we can see here we have got a website um that is getting a featured zoom in a little bit just so I can see so it's how to stop a radiator um or how to stop a leaking radiator now the website that is currently ranking for
website that is currently ranking for that is only radiators.com
stop a radiator if you search that with minus then the first domain so only radiator. you will see that the second website is homebuilding doc. now the featured snippet queue so if I go back one slide as you can see this
website was only radiator. that was ranking for the keyword now if we go back to the second example all I've done is search the exact same keyword with minus only .co.uk and you can see the second website in the featured snippet Q
so very quickly you can see what the actual intent is and what Google essentially wants to see if it's a numbered list or if it's HTML table you numbered list or if it's HTML table you can see that now same goes with this you
can keep doing the featured snippet q and seeing what Google essentially prefers for the intent so Bes heating.com is furred in the que and the is because of how they've answered to snippet so if we were to go back to
slides you can see that this was a numbered list and so is position one now these guys have a paragraph best.com and the reason why they snippet is because they don't have a numbered list on the page so when you're
understanding the intent and when you're trying to get featured Snippets try this and you will probably see the various different results whether it's a HTML table whether it is a featured snippet um with a numbered list or a boet point
list and essentially what you want to do is match what is already rank in there the third section that I'll be talking about is eat signals now again I
talking about is eat signals now again I asked a crowd what they thought um about eat and I'm glad that everyone came back to saying that it's back links and expertise um there are a few people that obviously had some wild answers I
believe Burgers is listed on it um unfortunately when we're talking about eat it's not food-based um I wish it was but it's actually not so offer it was but it's actually not so offer transparency so how clear is your
transparency so how clear is your identity on the website is it hidden um or can people very quickly figure out who's actually written the article we also have expertise highlights so essentially if your offer
highlights so essentially if your offer has been to University or if they have essentially got some form of award is that actually mentioned not just on your website but on other websites because that's the key part when it comes to eat
we've just said that backlinks is the most important part is it just mentioned on your website or is it mentioned on various websites same with for credibility boost so again if you have been on podcasts or
if you've been mentioned as the best person when it comes to brain surgeons are you only just mentioned on your website or Is there the NHS in the UK mentioning your name contact information is super important as well so if you
haven't essentially got any contact information or if say for example you upload an article and it can be slightly incorrect cuz let's be honest here not every single article that you upload on your website is 100% factual in some
cases it might not be factual um I I'll openly admit that some in some cases I have uploaded articles on websites and they haven't been factual and then I've actually had to essentially ask an accountant or ask a lawyer hey is this
actually factual and they've essentially told me no this is the actual answer so contact information when it comes to your offers is super important especially if other people are reading it and it's to do with Finance or if
it's to do with uh Fitness now as we can see here um I have a knowledge panel and if you can essentially get this for any of your offers then it's essentially massive tick for in the eat section um as you
can see Matt di is another person that's got one um and just by essentially looking at these two offers so myself and Matt you can very quickly tell these
two guys know what they're talking about when it comes to SEO or affiliate marketing or online businesses now let's take a look at what a lot of people have on their website so a lot of people essentially send me websites and like
hey Cass I've been hit by The Helpful content update or I've been hit by the core algorithm update and their offer looks something like this essentially it's a guy called John pickles he's a fitness expert um he
loves long hikes and this is his user bio hi my name is John I've been bio hi my name is John I've been training for the past 14 years I do ultramarathons I don't know why but it's clear as day to me that this is just a
madeup Persona the guy is just off of this person doesn't exist and if you were to search John Pickle's Fitness expert there's literally no recollection of them at all and a lot of seos still go down this route when they're building
out their affiliate websites um they'll plaster their website with someone like this and they're like yes I've filled out eat I'm done and it's not actually case now if we were to compare John pickles to David gogins I'm hoping
everyone that's watching this stream would say yeah yeah I trust David gogins I don't trust John pickles that's what I'm hoping for anyway um but then yeah in some cases people might not but I'm hoping that this question who do we
trust more I'm hoping everyone in the chat is saying yeah we trust David gogin more um that's what I'm hoping for anyway so waste improve eat now the reason why John pickles doesn't work and that's not to say that
it will never work cuz there are certain C people that I know that are still got a very good thriving affiliate website with personas like John pickles but if you were to search John pickles more than likely he's only going to go he's
only got one photo and there's no videos there's literally no recollection of him at all however if you were to search David Goggins for example you will see that he is on podcasts he has got photos there's interviews with him there's
various websites talking about him so very quick can understand that David gogins is essentially a fitness expert even though he might not want to be but he is so if he was to essentially run a affiliate website tomorrow about Fitness
affiliate website tomorrow about Fitness he has got a massive eat ticked ticked off clear contact information for the offers so if I wanted to essentially email John pickles will I be able to find his contact information if I can if
recollection if he doesn't have a company registered in the UK or the US you'll very quickly essentially see that he's a madeup guy linked and unlined
mentions for offers now this is super important and the reason why that is important and the reason why that is is John pickles the madeup guy there's no other websites mentioning him David gogins there is now if we were to
essentially build up John pickles to say that he is a fitness expert which don't get me wrong it can definitely be done we would essentially want linked and also unlined mentions we would we essentially want to get a load of links
mentioning how he has ran a load of ultramarathons how he is one of the fittest guys in for example Florida or wherever he's located he's won loads of
awards for running and various other activities as well so make sure that you're essentially mention your offers not just mentioning best running shows or whatever you're trying to rank for your
offers also need some love and care when it comes to Links podcasts again um is super important the reason why that is is because it's very difficult to essentially fake a podcast I know it can definitely be done with this rise of AI
but if you can essentially get a John pickles podcast or a John pickles video and essentially say hey this guy is a real person um it can definitely help
now again going back to the David gogin example if you were to go on to YouTube and search David Goggins you will see a lot of different podcasts that he's been on he's been on TV so you can very quickly tell David gogins is a real
person and John pickles isn't however that's not to say that you can't essentially formulate John pickles to be a real person or a real Persona so it can definitely be done last one is obviously videos so if there's certain
training videos if you're doing a Fitness website and you'd say right I'm Fitness website and you'd say right I'm gonna do a Monday to Friday fitness program and every day I'm going to upload again AI can't do that and
essentially what Google is trying to figure out is if the offer on your website is a real person so if you can start doing that with either with AI or without then Happy Days personal website as well which is super important a lot
of affiliate websites have Fitness 247.com however their personal website for their offers there's just not an existent a lot of real offers for example I'm certain David gogins has his own website John pickles doesn't it's
just another tech box in eat YouTube videos is the last one and obviously we've mentioned you videos and the last one is links so again going back to the back links analogy if you can get more links mentioning your
offers Happy Days and one last example on the links as well is if you were to take a look at Elon Musk for examp example very quickly you can tell that he is an expert in electric cars because he's not just mentioned on the Tesla
website he's mentioned on various other websites so links links websites so links links links and not Burgers so I've been asked this a lot and the main question when it comes to
and the main question when it comes to eat is casra does Google even look at this like why are you telling me about this and as we can see here we have got a manual action this is very recent in the finance industry and as we can see
the finance industry and as we can see here this is a transparency so the offer wasn't actually transparent on the website you can also see in the description that it affects all of the pages and essentially they've manually
reviewed the website and they've essentially spotted that there's no transparency in the offers they don't know who's written the article so from a safety point of view Google has took a manual action on that website so for any
doubters that are saying eat isn't real this is an this is an example so toxic links um this was a poll that I recently done get as well and essentially I asked everyone do you
and essentially I asked everyone do you believe in dis vows and 89% or 89 people out of 173 people said that they don't believe or they do believe in dous 58 people said that they don't so I'd probably say that's probably like what a
30 40% split reasons why people don't believe in dous now a lot of people that I speak to they have used two tools um commonly speaking and they are usually ah refs and sem rush and the reason why these
two tools aren't built for disos is because they aren't taking into consideration the link graph so for example Le for anybody that doesn't know what the link graph is the link graph is essentially a seat set of websites let's
say there's 12 websites like Wikipedia uh YouTube Twitter Etc and Google essentially starts its crawl from there and then it crawls back it crawls down and the lower you are in the link graph the less powerful you are um and
also the less trusted you are Sam Russian a dfts don't actually do that um and equally so they don't need to because they weren't built for disos Rush obviously has the spam score but that's massively flawed because if you
have a link in your footer or in your sidebar um and that let link is linking to your website it's deemed as a spammy link in Sam Rush's eyes which isn't necessarily true and the next reason is people do a
diso and they don't do a backlink Rejuvenation now this is super important um I would probably say that this is even more important than the actual diso because once you've done a diso you might have let's say removed 150 200
essentially freaking out right now and they're like who this website is essentially being on a positive link trajectory for the past 12 months and they've just gotten rid of 200 referring domains what's going on you essentially
need to replenish those links so if you've done 150 um domains in your diso you've done 150 um domains in your diso you essentially need to build trusted and Powerful links after we will go into a deep dive into backlink rejuvenation
later on but make sure that you are doing a backlink Rejuvenation and the next reason is they expect results yesterday so if it's took 12 months for your website to essentially get to where it was and then you've seen a massive
dip and you do a dispo don't expect the de out to return your results in 24/7 de out to return your results in 24/7 cuz or in 24 hours cuz that's not the
bad links so this is the biggest um question I get and when it comes to this Dev and it's not actually true Google's Google ignores anything in the
red anything in the red is essentially really bad citation so if you were to load up Fiverr for example you'll see a lot of gigs that Google will ignore Forum links Google has gotten smarter over the years and they do ignore Forum
over the years and they do ignore Forum links Mass web toos so if anybody's been in the SEO game for six seven years you'll will remember that back in the day you you used to be able to do a load of mass web 2os and within 24 48 Hours
you would essentially Rank and it's not the case anymore Google ignores those links GSA as well GSA um people used to use it for essentially link building it's an automated link building technique and
within let's say 4 hours you were able to build two and a half million links um after that Google essentially got a little bit smarter and people started using it for essentially negative seon now Google has gotten smarter over the
years when it comes to GSA and they do ignore GSA links as well so anything in the red Google ignores anything in the Orange is actually probably more um
harmful for for your website and those are the links that you should essentially be looking out for anything in the Orange is essentially guest Post Farms toxic links essentially when I say toxic links what I mean is let's say you
what you should also be worried about is the links that's pointing to that guest post so if that guest Post website has links that are toxic that are spammy that can pass through to your website and it can mess up your toxicity
thresholds any gigs like these you probably want to avoid I know that there's a lot of people in the link building industry um link building agency owners say this to to me all the time they say hey Caz I've recently done
time they say hey Caz I've recently done a call um and this client said hey why should I even buy links from you guys when I can go on Fiverr and get one of these gigs for $15 $20 and they they generate me 300 links well these 300
generate me 300 links well these 300 these 10,000 links packs the da 90s the Dr 90s whatever whatever they're trying to sell you on Fiverr nine times out of 10 they are zero valued and Google does ignore them and in some cases they
just bear that in mind if you are using websites like Fiverr so what people think is a good link now a lot of people look at traffic traffic can be manipulated very easily there are a lot of Fiverr gigs that you
can pay $2 $30 and they will literally get a website from zero traffic value to 4 and a half thousand traffic value within a matter of weeks same with
relevance um there isn't a patent out there there that says if you have a CBD website the links pointing through to your CBD website need to be CBD related there's no patent out there so when I speak about relevance again it's just a
madeup SEO myth and also in some cases if you are only buying relevant links that can also be deemed as a footprint as well so where do you actually end up crossing the line when it comes to pbns or when it comes to link building or
when it comes to relevance all the seos that I speak to um or all the high level seos all they care about is the positive link trajectory and the power the power
of the links and also the trust of the links they very rarely look at relevance not linking to cassino and CBD this is one thing that I get asked a lot they people come up to me and they say hey Cass is this link xyz.com good
because I'm worried that it's not good because it's linking the casino or CBD because it's linking the casino or CBD now the answer is it depends and I I'll Deep dive into it first of all the reason why it depends is again there's
no patent out there to say if a website is linking out to casino and CBD it's not going to have a positive impact on your website that being said what you do need to be worried about is if they are linking out to casino and CBD what tier
two links are being built to the guest posts are the guest post websites getting spammed and houndy by GSA and hacked links if they are those websites you probably do want to avoid but just because a guest Post website is linking
out to casino and CBD that doesn't mean that it's going to have a negative website so just bear that in mind when it comes to link building pbns now I personally don't use pbns and I'll go into the reason why in just a second but
a lot of people are scared to build pbns pbns are they can be very um powerful they can provide a lot of strength and power through to your website and they can have a very good positive um impact on your website that being said if you
are buying pbns from a public provider just bear in mind that that public provider might sell that same pbn to 10 or 15 different people so just bear that in mind and the second reason and this is the main reason why I personally
don't build pbns to any of my assets is because if you're looking to sell a website the new website owner won't want to essentially buy an affiliate website from you and also buy 50 or 100 or 250
pbn because that also comes with hosting costs renewal um costs and all other costs renewal um costs and all other stress so a lot of website owners would probably avoid pbns but that's not to say that they don't have a positive
in mind so these are three different websites mind my business NYC my Frugal bus.com and Kelly's thoughts on things.com now
Mindy bus.com has been in our previous 18 disos it has a toxicity score of 4,500 the reason why the toxicity for that website is so high is because it
has low quality tier two links now that means the links that are pointing to website is on a posit positive trajectory it has a high toxicity threshold it's also very low in the link graph um you'll see a very common factor
in all of these websites and this website has essentially tanked 12 from it so just bear that in mind when you are doing any guest posting past 24
deos my Frugal business so when we have essentially done dis ofous in the past my Frugal business has popped up 24 times in our dis out times in our dis out then the toxicity score is 3,000 and the
reason why this website has a high toxicity threshold is because of Link Decay and Link rot now what I mean by that is they aren't acquiring new links every single month and they also have been losing a lot of links um so that's
been losing a lot of links um so that's essentially caused a toxic uh score of 3,000 again they are low in the link graph and the this website has been in our six previous disavow or sorry that
website has essentially tanked six websites Kelly's thoughts on things.com now this has been in our previous 31 disc vows disc vows um it has a toxicity score of
6,000 and the reason why this website is toxic is because the outbound link to inbound link ratio is just off so it's caused a high toxicity score and again
it is low in the link graph and this has been in or sorry 80 websites have essentially tanked um from getting a link from this website now if we were to look at every single website one by one you will see that they all have high drr
in some cases they are pointing out to websites that are relevant and they also have high traffic and it's got a a lot of the websites have essentially shut up in the amount of keywords that they're ranking for so a lot of seos would
acquire these links and a lot of these links are in link Builders lists so just bear that in mind when you are buying your next link just because the website is does look good it has high drr doesn't mean to say that is a good
doesn't mean to say that is a good website now I recently well I say recently this was probably about six or seven months ago now had a debate in a private Mastermind um basically I had a friend that said I don't believe in
so we essentially said okay let's put that to the test if you don't believe in dous let's build some toxic links and see what happens so this website here we see what happens so this website here we built 25 toxic links or bad links as you
can see the website went down in traffic we then done a diso and we then done a backlink Rejuvenation and we were able to recover the website it's actually in a better position now than what it was so this
was a gambling website the next website that we tried on 23 um links we built the links we done the links we built the links we done the diso we removed the diso and then we
built more toxic links to see how badly we can essentially affect this website and as you can see every time we done toxic links the website went down as you can see when we done the diso it went up and when we when when we removed the
disv to make certain that it was The Toxic links it went down again this was a travel website a toxic backlink for one website
might be a positive link for another so this is where it gets a little bit confusing when it comes to toxic links now what I mean by that is the exact same toxic links we built to this website it actually had a positive
ranking factor and the reason for that is because this website had a lot stronger foundational links now there's videos on YouTube such as Charles's where talks about how important foundational links are and essentially
this is the reason why if you have a good foundation your toxicity threshold or the amount of toxic links your website can essentially withhold will be a lot higher so just by saying a toxic link is a toxic link or if somebody says
to me this guest post I'm not going to build to my website that is kind of INF factual because a toxic link to one website might be a posit positive link to another so every website has a toxicity
threshold um this is super important now let's say for example we are website number five what we essentially do when we are looking at toxicity thresholds is we essentially look at every single
we essentially look at every single competitor and we get the average so in this instance the average is between 3 and 400 what you want to be is essentially 375 you want to literally be just on the
edge but you don't want to be for example competitor number two because they do have some toxic links so the closer you can get to the toxicity closer you can get to the toxicity threshold of a 400 that is the ideal
means that you have the strongest backlink profile you have the most trusted links and you might in some cases also have just a little bit of toxicity in some Cas or in a lot of cases you don't want to be just the
clean backlink profile person you want a little bit of spam because naturally websites do have a little bit of spam if you are just the clean guy Google will say these guys are seos we're not going to rank them as high as um as we
when it comes to link building now when it comes to power trust and toxicity that I've been talking about what you essentially want now the cream D creme type of link is link number one now in some cases if
you're in some crazy industry you might only be able to get industry you might only be able to get 10 of Link number one where it is highly trusted links then you essentially need to lower
your standard to link number two link number two it might have a little bit of toxicity but again you still have the power and you still have the trust once you essentially acquire all the links of or all the the links that fall into
category number two then you might say right okay I've got the really super powerful tra high traffic high power High trusted High relevant links which is link number one I've also got a little bit of Link number two or type of
Link number two then you might want to move over to link number three link number three is essentially it still has power it still has power um but it it doesn't have any trust now
harm your website because you are still getting the power same goes with link number four as well link number three and four is probably where I would then cut it off link number five and six are the types of links that you do want to
disabil so one thing I will say about doing disos is you should always take the antidote before the poison and what I mean by that is a lot of people essentially leave the dis out too late they will essentially do a dis out after
the website's tanked however I'm a massive advocate of proactive dous so even if your website is on a positive trajectory on traffic you still want to essentially keep your backlink profile as clean as you possibly can um and
as clean as you possibly can um and essentially remove the 10% of the spammy links now this is a website that essentially um gets a diso they have had two this hour from us in the past year and they
essentially acquire this about every I want to say 6 to 12 months from us and the reason why they do that is in some cases they publish articles and and the Articles end up going viral on Facebook on Twitter and they will acquire 200
links in let's say a week naturally now those 200 links might not always be positive links they might be spammy links and they just say hey Cass I just want the cleanest backlink profile as I
possibly can just get rid of the toxic links every 6 to 12 months so that's number one example now backlink Rejuvenation um the reason why I talk
about backlink rejuvenations is we essentially want to do a two- pass diso um so before the dis we will essentially look at your website and we will say hey your website has a toxicity threshold of 3,500 we will do a diso and we might get
it down to 1,200 now if you don't opt for the backlink Rejuvenation what we might need to do is do a second dis vow and to 970 so it all depends on your budget um
but it very much want to essentially build the foundational links which means that we can essentially get a higher toxicity threshold now when we are doing the backlink rejuvenations um back to what I was saying before you might have
just disavowed let's say 150 200 referring domains and we essentially trajectory because otherwise Google's going to start freaking out now the best way that you can essentially do your own backlink Rejuvenation is by building
branded links to your homepage doing a positive link velocity so say for example you might have disavowed 20 links to one page and that page now has a negative subset of 20 links you essentially want to at least
build four or five links to that one page because otherwise if Google comes back to that website or back to that page and sees that it's missing 20 links it's going to essentially even devalue that page even more so you might have
already been in position eight you might now be in position now be in position 15 and high power and high trusted links so again going back to what I was saying before power and trust is the main
factors that you want to be looking at especially after doing a diso so if say especially after doing a diso so if say for example you do a LRT evaluation of competitors let's say there's three of them and they have a power of let's say
three and a a trust of two you essentially want to match that as much as you can and the best way that you can do that is by doing the uh branded links to the homepage or links to your offer pages and building up the trust and the
power that way so my name has been KRA Dash and that has been my talk about website recoveries now if any of you guys have been hit by the updates um
make sure to fill out the form cash.com audit and I can essentially evaluate audit and I can essentially evaluate your website
