[00:03] Rockstars. I'm Eric Voss and we are doing another First Friday office hours live stream here on the New Rockstars channel. Uh I'm really happy to be with July. It's going to be the biggest month of the year. Maybe maybe other than [00:16] December, the biggest month of the year here on the New Rockstars channel. And I try to do this try to do this every first Friday of the month just to kind of give you guys u a chance to ask me questions. Um, I can hear your theories [00:29] or your comments, your ideas, your your recommendations. Uh, you can come at me for for some of my bad theories, whatever you think. U, because it's actually going to be a pretty busy live stream month on the New [00:43] Rockstars channel. Um, in about two weeks, we might do a Comic-Con preview once we know more information about San Diego Comic- Con. Announcement. New Rockstars will be there. Will be there in San Diego. If you're in San Diego, [00:56] walking around. If we're kind of hightailing it in and out of Hall H, I meet me at this time somewhere else later and I'll catch up with you because down whatever the big news was out of that panel." Uh, Marvel Studios will be [01:10] there in San Diego. The Russo brothers are going to be there. We'll probably online and maybe some announcements about Avengers Doomsday, maybe about Secret Wars, about X-Men after that. whatever the big news is. Um we will uh [01:24] we'll we'll break it down there. Um Brian, how is the voice sync? Um are we is it good? Do we need to fix it right now? Um what do you think? up slightly. >> What it is is we have like people who [01:39] like lose their minds if it is like two frames off. They're like, I can't I malfunctioning. >> I I I get it. Um, >> I don't But what I need to do is just wear a [01:54] mask. I need to just wear a mask, a Bane mask for all of these. Um, and if you change it a bit too much the other way, then the like, god damn it, I liked what it was. Uh, but we'll leave it there. Say it's good now. If not, I I really [02:10] don't care. I don't care that much. I don't care that much. But I I'll kind of just do this. I'll do pretend like Jeff Dunham is puppeting me. Uh he's got a hand up my back and it's just I don't have to show you that much. Um but um [02:23] one thing I wanted to share with you guys in case you didn't know, the road to doomsday is still underway. Let's see. Aha. Yes, here we are. This is our road to Doomsday schedule. So tomorrow on the New Rockstars channel, you'll be [02:37] able to see our Road to Doomsday podcast episode about the 2017 Logan film. Uh going back. He's going to try to make me bigger. But what if I just do this? What >> Well, that works. >> Yeah. He wants to make my window larger. [02:51] worse. I was like, "Oh, >> oh my freaking goodness. >> I think uh comments because you react to one comment and then you end up over [03:06] adjusting." That's and that's just my general philosophy with YouTubing in general is is you can't let one comment get to you. get to you. Okay. Talking. Hello. Can this is this [03:18] synced? For some reason, this OBS like last time was like super desynxed, but now it's only a little bit desyncted. that's better. That's great. >> Better be. Not for you. I mean, I'm just [03:32] is what you're going to get. We're not changing it again. Uh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. going to be a really interesting conversation about Logan. We also have Thunder episode of Road to Doomsday. That's going to be next Saturday the [03:47] 11th. Uh Saturday the 18th will be an episode about Black Panther and Black Panther Wakanda for Forever. Uh and then on Comic- Con weekend, Saturday, July 25th, will be our episode about Avengers Infinity War. Yeah. So, we'll get to all [04:01] of that this month on the Road to Doomsday. Also, something that we are Doomsday. Also, something that we are doing um is a Spider-Man rewatch series. Uh, we are breaking down the three MCU [04:14] breakdown is actually coming to the channel in maybe like just an hour from now. Uh, we found like way more Easter eggs in this movie. I realized the last time I broke it down was like in 2020. Um, we were kind of a skeleton crew at [04:29] New Rockstars. We had to limit how much time we spent re-breaking that movie down. So, it's a shorter video than I would have loved to have done six years ago. So, I'm like, we got to do this for at least Homecoming and Far From Home. [04:41] let's go to No Way Home, too, because we've learned so many more things about that movie since we broke it down in 2021 and 2022. So, all three of these watches for you. I promise there's [04:54] there's a a ton of cool connections, new context from interviews that all these years since then that I think will make these three videos like the ultimate breakdowns of these three movies. Um yeah, sound good. Now, the reason why um [05:11] uh the reason why we're not like staggering it so that it will come out the 10th, 17th, and 24th and then setting up uh Spider-Man brand new day breakdown on the 31st is specifically because of Comic-Con. We we don't want [05:24] to we want to be able to break down all the big Comic- Con news that Friday. So, we're going to get to uh where we're going to get to Comic-Con news that going to get to Comic-Con news that weekend. All right. So, that is [05:38] happening. Other news uh that you might have questions about, I I am here to answer questions. Oh, oh, oh. The weekend of the uh July 17th, I [05:50] will be doing a breakdown of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. I might do it the like after the weekend. Um yeah, I got a press screening invite. Um, you may have seen some discourse going around saying that influencers are not going to get [06:04] invited to see The Odyssey early. Honestly, I don't know if these movie studios see me as an influencer or as a critic or a content creator or some kind of mix of those things, but as soon as I saw these news outlets kind of like [06:18] dancing on the grave of the vertical Tik Tockers who weren't going to get invited to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, I immediately rolled my eyes because I those early press screenings, it's always a mix of people. some people who [06:31] are like the the oldest person you've ever seen who's still writing for some ever seen who's still writing for some periodical from 1899 uh and doing his interviews on the on an old radio photograph to some child who twirls um [06:47] um like a fire baton on some vertical app you've never heard of before and of course they're going to have these early screenings but it's just I I think people who were under the belief that there were some mythical influencer only [07:02] screenings that would happen. But I've been to some of those where it seemed to looked down the aisle of the movie theater and was like, "Oh, that person writes for/film. That person writes for IndieWire. That person writes for the [07:15] Entertainment Weekly." All these kind of legacy um um like film snob outlets, you know? So, it's like stop stop devouring ourselves. We're all on the same team [07:27] here. We're all just trying to celebrate movies and and cover the news of movies. I think there's a lot of people in the media space who are incapable of they think there is limited real estate [07:40] and they think that every struggle that old media is going through is the fault of influencers and social media. when in fact influencers in social media have prolonged the lifespan of people who work in old media and it has given them [07:54] a wider reach and a bigger platform and a younger audience to reach. Um I don't know why we keep doing this. I I I I beg everyone I know who works in all aspects of the media to stop stop picking fights with each other. Um and whatever dis [08:10] Supergirl. Can we just stop doing this and lay down our arms and move on and and talk about Minions and Monsters for the love of God? Anyway, I'm sure none live stream. So, that's been Eric's media discourse corner. Let's get to [08:27] some questions from you guys. Hi, thank you all for your patience. A question here. Will GTA 6 be bigger than Doomsday? Yes. Yes, it will be because people have had to wait longer for it. Um, [08:48] think Sasha Baron Cohen will be in Doomsday, but I think he will be in Doomsday, but I think he will be in Secret Wars. Uh, Jay asking, "What is your hope for the X-Men cast for the Multiverse Saga? Like, who do I want to [09:01] play whom?" Um, I I I want them to be young and I want them to be like a mix heard of before and I want them to be good actors. There's a lot of really really good young actors who have been in, you know, like Stranger Things had [09:17] some young good actors, but like you can find them as like stage actors out of the UK and out of Broadway and and you know, know, I I I I was about to I was about to say [09:31] in another big franchise right now and I don't want to do that cuz I I just don't surprises you with how good of an actor they are. like Tom Holland was when he when he joined the MCU. Uh and and I don't really like it when the kid just [09:45] really is kind of a wet blanket who's just trying to appease a director and uh and just brings nothing to a role and I have nothing nice to say. [10:01] Hey, we got a super chat here. Holy smokes. Thank you. Uh freaking you. Uh, do you think City Sync could be Scarlet Witch? I like how Billy and Tommy took [10:13] different bodies. She could have as well when the Red Flash happens. I think I had a similar theory to this in a video. They kind of talked about like how this be connected to what happened to Wanda Maximoff when uh that Darkhold Temple [10:28] collapsed on her in Multiverse of Madness. I I really do like that theory. Uh I find that interesting that like she could have been activated that way. I just don't think they're going to recast Elizabeth Olsen's part of Wanda Maximoff [10:42] to be Sades Sink. I I I just think I think uh they are so friendly enough with Elizabeth Olsen. She can come back and play the character in any future era and play the character in any future era of the Marvel universe. Uh I think [10:55] that's even that's an even bigger leap than just saying she's Gan Gray. So than just saying she's Gan Gray. So that's that's where I'm at with that. Um let's see. I was trying to see something here. [11:09] Uh, we had some members. Nerdy Girl Jean, thank you for your membership saying, "Will we get a damn Doomsday trailer at San Diego Comic-Con?" Um, think they can wait any longer than that. And then, uh, BJP0305, [11:26] uh, thank you for joining us now and becoming a re-watcher tier member. Thank becoming a re-watcher tier member. Thank you so much. Also, Mark of Kain 2555 trailer here or at D23?" I think we're going to get the trailer at Comic-Con. [11:39] Um, I would be shocked if they waited till August. Truly shocked. Um, Sarah membership as well, saying, "Wishing y'all at New Rockstars the best. Thanks for all you do." Thank you, Sarah. And, uh, Sarah, going to give you a little [11:55] uh, Sarah, going to give you a little tease. We actually have a um our first episode of the Monday mailbag that's coming out exclusive to patrons on the in our underground on Monday morning and we answered one of your questions Sarah. [12:08] So uh if you guys would like to support us and hear those podcasts go to nr that's where we do our exclusive in our underground podcasts and we're doing this new Monday mailbag. Yeah, I'll come here every month or so to do these kind [12:21] of AMAs, but like as you can see, the chat's kind of chaotic if if you're hard. And I'm just kind of doing a stream of consciousness. I'm not really thinking before I'm talking. All kinds of bullshit's coming out of my mouth [12:33] get a that much of a thoughtful answer out of me. This is more just kind of like, you know, this is like the YouTube equivalent of the Jubilee Roundt and all of you are are trying to get time in front of me and I love it. I love doing [12:45] quieter, more intimate conversation that the Monday mailbags will be where each episode only we'll only answer like two or three questions. Um, but Sarah, thank you for supporting us [12:58] there. And, uh, tune in tune in Monday morning. Thank you for your super chat, Lore. Uh, if you stay up late at night looking for Avengers Doomsday news on looking for Avengers Doomsday news on your phone, are you doom scrolling? Yes. [13:14] your phone, are you doom scrolling? Yes. I love it. I love it. Omar lore. Ah. Ah. I love it. I love it. Omar lore. Ah. Ah. 10 points to Omar. Hey. Um, you are doom scrolling on TikTok and then out of nowhere there's the, "Hey, [13:30] are you still scrolling?" I hate that. It It freaks me the hell out. I mean, me while I'm still sitting on the couch after I've fallen asleep and woken up. I hate that. I hate that. That should be banned. It's really freaky. It's like in [13:46] banned. It's really freaky. It's like in um Flea Bag when Andrew Scott looks don't I don't like that. I don't like the breaking of the fourth wall. Uh hey, thanks for your super chat. Dillard B. Commons, is Avengers Judgment [14:02] Day still a possibility? I know it's too early to tell, but I remember rumors about there being a trademark filed. You know, a lot of times these movie studios will file trademarks with a lot of different alternate names and and then [14:16] cast a wide net while they're still deciding between different ones. I'm not with Avengers Judgment Day, but we already had like a T2 Judgment Day movie action movies of all time. So, I don't think they're going to call this Marvel [14:31] movie Avengers Judgement Day. That would just be my opinion. And it's art. But if you're saying like there's a second movie after Doomsday or one in between uh Doomsday and Secret Wars, I I don't think that's going to happen. Uh there's [14:43] enough there's too many movie contracts that are like there's too many financial stakeholders uh in order to keep like a movie a secret like that. Um I also be a while before we have a movie with Avengers in the title of it. I think [14:59] Marvel Studios really for for the sake of its long-term health needs to pivot to the Mutant Saga and just let the X-Men be the the frontmen of the [15:11] franchise. Um, I I think there's a lot of people right now who are kind of hedging their bets with Marvel Studios and think that, oh, it's God, they're really just playing the hits. How embarrassing it is that they have to [15:23] bring back these old stars for Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars and all those people are going to be shutting up when these movies make two three billion dollars each. But I think long term, you talk to younger audiences, yeah, they [15:37] zeitgeist moments, as like the Super Bowl moments that they're all going to be there for, even if the NFL is like their dad's franchise. These are things watch together. I get that. But in order to get these in order to rise the the [15:51] low tide of the franchise, uh they have to make it so that you can care about Avengers. And the Mutant Saga is how you do that. The mutant saga has such a variety of mutants, teams, power sets, alignments, um political um political [16:08] conflicts, historical conflicts, geographic diversity, racial diversity, um timeline shenanigans, all the great stuff that makes Marvel as a brand as great as it is. And I think we need a decade of just mutant saga stories and [16:22] then certain Marvel characters that intersect with that like the Fantastic 4, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Spider-Man. All of these things still let it be the Mutant Saga. But it's that young cool mutant saga that [16:37] like tells all the people in the old media who say that Marvel Studios is a media who say that Marvel Studios is a dying franchise. Uh I I think anyone who says that doesn't know how critical of an acquisition the X-Men is. We've never [16:50] an acquisition the X-Men is. We've never really seen X-Men on in live action as they truly are to people who have read the comics in the Claremont era and people who watch the '90s run. Like the the truest X-Men storytelling is right [17:05] now happening on X-Men 97. Um it it feels like this is what X-Men should be. than being adult teachers and adult warriors, imagine seeing them done well uh by Jake Shrier and the writers of Beef, you know, like there is such a [17:21] it's hard for people in the old media to to just see the possibility there, but I think we all know that like the best is yet to come from Marvel Studios as a [17:33] brand. Uh the Avengers just kind of came together as a backup plan. Uh it's the only things that Kevin Feige had the legal rights to and he made it work. Um desperation was the mother in of invention there or necessity was and [17:49] that uh that plus great casting from Sarah Haley Finn led Marvel Studios to be the juggernaut that it was for 10 years. Um, but I do think that like years. Um, but I do think that like there is room here for basically Marvel, [18:03] Hogwarts, and that's kind of what the X-Mansion is. And I I think that's always going to be relevant to teenagers. So, I I think that's what people in the legacy media to see that because it's not what's on the front [18:20] burner right now, right? Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars are. Um, but I think Secret Wars is going to make that pivot. pivot. Ah, another super chat. Wow. Thank you. [18:32] Marvel news on glorious channels like yours, but still avoid the apparent full yours, but still avoid the apparent full leak of Doomsday. [18:46] YouTube channels can't avoid talking about the leaks because that's all we have to talk about for Marvel Studios right now and it's all you guys are really asking us because we're such Marvel coded channels. So, I understand [18:58] if you want to take a break for right now or I'm sure there are plugins you can put on your on your apps to just like make invisible anything that says Avengers or Doomsday or leak or any of that. Uh, and so if you still want to [19:13] watch our Spider-Man Brand New Day coverage, you'll still see that. Um, but I I I can promise you this, like there's going to be certain things about Doomsday that we talk about as we cover Spider-Man brand new day, but it's not [19:25] going to be um we're not going to get into like leaks or anything like that in the Spider-Man coverage. Uh, and I'm trying to be very clear in like the packaging of our videos when we're getting into that kind of leak [19:38] territory. And I try to make it very clear like we don't show any kind of just raw leaks in the packaging or even in our videos. What we'll do is like when AI recreations that are very clearly AI slop are going around [19:52] because that's just kind of like on the front of what everything we're seeing is and we're kind of commenting on that and how that stuff is even manufactured. Um but even that even then we we don't do that a whole lot. So I think you're in [20:06] Rockstars. But I can understand if you even feel like what we've done so far kind of transgresses too much into the territory of leaks. Um, so I I could [20:18] territory of leaks. Um, so I I could tell you that uh the safest hands are your own when it comes to your social media monitoring. You probably know more plugins and certain filters on your own social media devices and and platforms [20:31] so you can avoid cert using certain things, but like muted words are your plugins you can do to avoid seeing certain things. Um, yes, another question or a super chat. Ned [20:45] that he will have powers in Brand New Day? Also, please bring back rumor rundown. Uh, I don't think Ned's going to have powers in Brand New Day. I think involved the sling ring in Spider-Man No [21:00] lot in questions as we cover Brand New Day. I just think Brand New Day's got a lot of stuff going on in it and they're really committed to it being a street level story still somehow in the way they describe it and I think it's really [21:13] hard to make something street level when you have wizards and sorcery in it. Um, rumor rundown. Hey, I appreciate your compliments of rumor rundown. I love the rumors and and sift through these things. The reason why we took a break [21:27] from it is to make that a weekly show is just a difficult commitment when we to be rumors that you care about that are floating around out there. So yeah, maybe as a periodic thing we can. But the reason we haven't done is like we're [21:42] trying to do other things that we like doing more right now. Like we started This, which is just us looking into the technology of film making, color grading, editing, visual effects, and [21:56] visual renaissance happening at Marvel Studios with like the great team behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It's the same colorist who's working on Avengers Doomsday to really bring back the saturation to the MCU. And I think once [22:09] one thing that like the letterbox community is really going to be complimenting. So, I I wanted to make try doing things like that. Uh, the road struggle because I think at the start of the year, it really seemed like Marvel [22:22] Studios was going to be spending this entire year of 2026 every week making news and making announcements about Avengers Doomsday. I was wrong. Uh, no, Rockstars has been talking about it more than Marvel Studios has. And to be [22:36] honest, Marvel Studios talked about it more in 2025 than they did in 2026. And that's so weird to me. So, but I'm still enjoying doing this every week with going to keep doing it for the time being. Um, but we will reassess at one [22:50] point. It's not going to be like a forever show that we do. If you were offered your own MCU movie, but it has to pick up on a PCS that hasn't been answered yet, a postredit scene, what story would you want to [23:03] tell? As in, if I were to direct or write a movie, um, or or just be a creative consultant on it? Sarah, thanks for the super chat. I mean, the postredit scene that I want to see picked up with the most. Um, I think [23:17] picked up with the most. Um, I think that's a great question is probably MTO and saying Too Many Sorcerers. I thought we were going to get that answer in Multiverse of Madness and we didn't. Uh, and I think that story could still be [23:29] told. We We don't know where the 616 universe Maux is. I I want to see him join up with the Midnight Suns. And I feel like his two T too many sorcerers could be picked up with uh joining him with Ghost Rider and Blade and these [23:41] other characters to form the Midnight Suns. That would be my pitch. Hey. Yeah, everyone like the stream. Why not? Thank you so much. I like the sidehair rogue look. Eevee we old. Are you just talking about how I [23:57] did this instead of this? I don't know. I need a haircut. I don't like how I look. Yeah, Heather's with me saying, "MTO is answered." Yeah, because I I don't need Star Fox answered. I mean, even [24:11] to see what they're doing there, but like I don't need another Thor movie. What I do need is a Midnight Suns movie. I guess Clea, I need to know where Doctor Strange and Clea have been. And I think we will get that answer in [24:24] that they're never going to answer that MTO question. So, I'm going to keep bringing it up for any Marvel Studios employee watching these videos that you you need to answer that question with the Midnight Suns movie. [24:37] hearing, "Welcome back to New Rockstar at the beginning of your videos." Why the change? I love questions like this. I'll tell you why. Um, because specifically it's the branding has not been serving the channel. the the the [24:53] way the user interface works on YouTube, specifically on mobile usage, is you someone's attention after they accidentally um have a muscle spasm on [25:05] their thumb that taps your video. And you want to already start to answer that question that they might have in the first five or 10 seconds. Uh and if you do, and if you do it right, you've hooked them. Uh it's kind of like um [25:19] it's it's honestly getting back to my old um training as a journalism major is like you want to write a good lead to your story. Have a and then the editor's story in sometimes ways that don't make grammatical sense, but like you're doing [25:34] specific way to get someone's attention. Imagine if every news article you read said, "Welcome back to the New York Times. I'm I'm Ezra Klene and here's my seconds in, we don't even know what Ezra's gonna talk about. So, you do kind [25:49] of have to have it's like good practices in youtubing and podcasts we've been discovering in our research to just kind of like start in MDS rest, start the viewer in the middle of things. It's kind of like a cold open. Uh, and I [26:01] think people who watch our content care more about what we're talking about than more about what we're talking about than us and who we are. They can see on the And honestly, they don't care if my name's Eric Voss. they care more about [26:14] like what Spider-Man detail I found. So, I'm just trying to serve the viewer uh more than serve myself and to and I don't care about getting my social media handle out there in the first 3 seconds of a video. That's why [26:28] uh and thank you again for the super chat. Okay, Robert Rodriguez Music. What are your thoughts on Supergirl going through three composers? You know, I saw this in the months before Supergirl was coming out. I I honestly don't know what [26:42] it means when a composer is replaced on a movie as opposed to either a lead a movie as opposed to either a lead editor or a or a director like midway through production. That's obviously like a whole new movie is starting. A [26:56] composer being replaced can just mean a lot of different things. I um all I really remember there was like a specific score specific score um for Cara when she has a power up [27:09] moment that I really really liked in Supergirl. I thought it worked really well and it kind of blended really well with uh the score that they have specifically for Superman uh in ways that I bet if you were to layer them on [27:21] top of each other are kind of harmonic. Um and I wish that they used that more and did original scoring more. So, I I really don't know, but it seems like how this movie would sound throughout [27:34] the movie. But I'm surprised that like whoever the original composer was was like, "No, I'm walking." Like, I feel like any composer would just be like, "All right, just tell me what more or less you want to do." Especially, I [27:46] found that weird because uh they ended up just using so much soundtrack um and so much music supervisor selected track. So, I don't really know what happened there. And I'm not going to pretend like I know. [27:58] I know. Uhoh. What's happening in the chat? Uh, all right. Will, did Will, did you have all right. Will, did Will, did you have something? Will ask it now. I'll see it, [28:10] but don't be mean. Um, if I missed someone's super chat. Oh, okay. Here it is. Okay, relax. I everything. Thank you, BJ. Thank you. Uh, what if Sadi is not Rachel Summers, [28:25] not Gan Gray? Do you think people will be okay with that since the hype of Gan Gray is so high? Um, I I I don't know how everyone's going to react to be how everyone's going to react to be honest. I think um I I I I wouldn't have [28:38] a problem. If they have like a good story explanation for why she would be Rachel Summers, I'm good with it. Um, I think either way, like an explanation for Gan Gray is going to create more questions and an explanation for Rachel [28:51] Summers is going to create as many of those same questions plus 10 more questions. But if all the questions for the most part are answered in a way that excited for the character in this story and beyond, I'm I'm good. I don't I [29:04] I just think looking at all the evidence we've seen, it's like the path of least resistance with like my logical framework as I'm looking at this movie. Um, and so yeah, I think there's going [29:17] confused by Rachel Summers as they are by Jean Gray, uh, if if I had to say it. But, um, but I do think that if you're casting someone like Sadie Sink, like Sadie Sink is like I think a bigger star than those of us in this chat currently [29:33] on YouTube on a Friday afternoon realize. Like Satie Sync is like a mega realize. Like Satie Sync is like a mega star, a global force that her management team is not going to say yes to a three-picture deal with Marvel Studios [29:45] for Rachel Summers. They're going to say yes to a three-picture deal for the face of the mutant saga, Gan Gray, Phoenix, a Marvel girl, you know, like uh right. [29:57] like there's business financial stakes on her being a bigger character than Rachel Summers or any of these other people that people have theorized as like having a more logical explanation behind them. So that's why I mean I [30:09] think it's got to be an A-lister name. And by A-lister I mean A-lister within the Marvel world. I know we've seen it in the past where people like Jean Carlo Magneto and he ended up being Seth Vulkar, but I think Jean Carlo Espazito [30:23] is in a very different place in his career than Sades Sync is. Uh and you People are losing their minds for Sadi Sink. She's beingounded by paparazzi Sink. She's beingounded by paparazzi everywhere she goes. Um so yeah, I I [30:37] think the casting of her was strategic and uh and that's why that's why I think that's just like kind of the simplest, most straightforward explanation. Even straightforward explanation based off of [30:50] simple and straightforward than any other explanation I've seen. Uh Jay Glam, thank you for your super chat as well. I appreciate you. Um these are the other super chats that I saw before. Thank you so much, guys. [31:05] You're the best. Uh do you think MorbiiUs would have been a good addition to Brandy Day if his movie worked out? Uh, will it be Morbin time ever again? I don't think it's going to be Morbin time anytime soon. Um, look, for it to be a [31:20] being a vampire movie. I think MorbiiUs would be a better fit, of course, in a Blade movie than a Spider-Man movie. I I think Spider-Man is such like a global brand. It's it's a crazy turn to now bring that into the horror genre. So, I [31:36] do think there can be Spider-Man stories that happen with MorbiiUs. Obviously, in episodes. I think there can be things like the Nicholas Cage, Ben Riley, Spider Noir show where he can have a version of MorbiiUs there. I think your [31:50] Disney Plus can have a MorbiiUS arc, but like MorbiiUs as a villain or even a teamup character, it's just it's it's he's his own vibe. And I I even thought he's his own vibe. And I I even thought like back when the Sony Spiderverse was [32:04] were going to do a Jared Leto MorbiiUs movie, I was like, I don't see how this works. I I don't with like Tom Holland playing this version of Spider-Man. I don't see how these characters come together. He and Venom coming together [32:17] made more sense, but MorbiiUs never made sense to me. Um, back on the Gan Gray conversation. Thank you for your super chat. I think Satie is playing Gan Gray controlling people. I think it's the unseen or unannounced villain. Maybe [32:32] Jackal in the trailers are just framing her to be the one doing it like a bait and switch. Could be. I I I could see that. Um that like the people are controlling, the people who are taunting Peter Parker. [32:46] It's just I think there's a line where we heard what sounded like Sadie Sync's voice kind of with that same taunting energy. Uh, but you're right. It could there's another villain. Uh, and that [33:00] like Gan Gray raising her arms is what's causing Hulk to come out. I really do like that theory. Um, another uh comment here. Thank you. Say Jean Grey will be the only X-Men introduced [33:15] in Brand New Day. Yeah, I think if any mutant characters are introduced, it'll just be this one and we'll start and we'll go from there. Um, [33:30] so the other stuff going on um, yeah, so our schedule this month, again, [33:44] as I said, we have, uh, two weeks from now, I'll probably do another live stream that's going to be kind of a, uh, San Diego Comic-Con preview. you uh this see our Spider-Man Homecoming rebreakdown. Tomorrow you'll see our [34:01] rebreakdown. Tomorrow you'll see our X-Men Logan episode of the Road to have a very fun tier list episode of the sneak peek where we do a hype ranking of the all the movies coming out for the rest of this year and uh we we kind of [34:15] rank it in different tiers. We do a tier list. I think it's a very fun episode. I think you'll really like it. Uh, Monday's video will be my breakdown of House of the Dragon season 3, episode 3. I've had a lot of fun writing and [34:28] It's It's been a lot of work for me. In fact, I've been working most nights um of these and rereading chapters of Fire and Blood and and doing additional research into the world of ice and fire. Uh, but it's been very rewarding. I I've [34:44] to do it. It's part of the reason why we handed off coverage of X-Men 97 to Gina. Gina is also like our resident X-Men animated expert. When I was breaking Gina who was helping me with all the [34:58] research on that cuz she knows that '90s run in and out. So, um, she's been doing she's working on the first three episodes that's on the channel right now and then she's working on episode four that will come out this Wednesday. [35:12] Yeah. Uh, and then I'm going to be seeing the Odyssey week of the release, and then we're going to try to get that breakdown out maybe like the following, Monday or Tuesday. Um, but yeah, I have I'm going [35:27] to see the Odyssey at least twice. I'm so excited for that movie. Every piece of marketing, every junket interview that Christopher Nolan and Patson and Hathaway and Zenaia are doing is just getting me more excited for this movie. [35:43] getting me more excited for this movie. Uh, another question from Cab. Thank you. Could Ned be the one making the weapons like the scorpion suit for the Scorpion suit that we see in Brand New Day is actually made by Adrien Tomb's [35:56] Spider-Man Homecoming. Uh, at some point coming out today, we find the moment where they talk about actually building but I think the suit that we see in Brand New Day is that suit that was [36:09] built by the tinkerer. Uh, Sarah asking, "Are you personally more excited for Brand New Day or Odyssey as a big Nolan fan?" I think if you if you ask me between those two movies, I'm more excited for the [36:22] Odyssey, but I'm really really excited for Spider-Man Brand New Day. Uh, it's really hard to pick. I just think the Odyssey just feels like it's going to be Odyssey just feels like it's going to be uh like a moment in cinematic history. [36:35] won't like it as much as Oppenheimer or Interstellar, but damn, you know, like I I just think it's the first time a movie's ever been shot 100% in IMAX. movie's ever been shot 100% in IMAX. Like, I I think that's just uh so unique [36:49] and uh I think I'm just excited for that experience more. in Doomsday or Daredevil? I think you mean Doomsday. Um, yeah. I think we're [37:05] gonna have lots of characters who are from the old regime. I I think Sam from the old regime. I I think Sam Wilson uh by Anthony Mackey is going to live on in the MCU. I think Florence Pew playing Yolena Bova is going to live on [37:17] in the MCU. A lot of the Thunderbolts, Lewis Pullman as Sentry. Um, but you're talking about the original ones. Yeah, I think Mark Ruffalo is going to be the only Hulk for a long time. Like we'll introduce an Amadeus Cho at some point. [37:30] Um but yeah, I I think there's going to be several members of the Old Guard who be several members of the Old Guard who are playing who are just around. Yeah, I I keep hearing that like a second season of Hawkeye is going to [37:43] second season of Hawkeye is going to happen. fireworks this weekend?" Um Darla's been great. She um she woke me up really [37:57] early this morning pawing at her door. Um but she's been great. I think luckily don't hear a lot of fireworks. U so she's been okay. Like when Mexico won um [38:10] fireworks throughout the San Fernando Valley and she seemed to be unfazed by neighborhood where all of our neighbors on the 4th of July just set off illegal her out. I felt really bad for her that day. But overall she doesn't like go in [38:27] she's she's pretty chill. Like she'll bark, she'll she'll whimper, she'll come near us and kind of like sit at our feet, but she doesn't uh you know she dogs do. Um another question. Oh, a question [38:41] about the Odyssey. Thoughts on Travis Scott and the Odyssey? I think it's fun. No clips of him look particularly bad. Yeah. I mean, Christopher Nolan put David Bowie in the Prestige. I think it's fine. I think he's telling like [38:54] this this timeless story. I I I'm I think the casting's been fun and exciting. I think all all this discourse about uh The Odyssey and its casting. It's just dumb. I think it's just people looking for looking for outrage and and [39:10] rage bait, and it's not it's manufactured rage bait. Uh, and I'm not Travis Scott. Uh, just reminded me of this, but um, yeah, I'm excited to see know. There's like a hundred other things I'm excited about with the [39:23] Odyssey. Um, backstory is too long to tell. Um, I honestly don't I wasn't here at the beginning and there was like several people who were [39:36] here before it was even a YouTube channel. So, um, I I don't really know channel. So, um, I I don't really know how it all started. Um, so, um, I I story. Sorry. And it would be a longer story. Maybe I should do a whole deep [39:50] Another question here. Do you think make a return? Yeah, I think we're going to see threeeyed Doctor Strange in uh in [40:02] this next Avengers movie or in Avengers: Secret Wars. The Batman part two." Yeah, I think it's 2027. That might be my highest [40:18] anticipated film of 2027 so far. The Batman part two. Yes, we have Shrek 5, The Simpsons Movie 2, Legends of Zelda, Avengers: Secret Wars, but I think the Batman part two, even more than Mana [40:32] Tomorrow, the Batman part two is the movie I'm most excited for. Uh, here's a fun story. Got my take on Lauderdale for the midnight release of the Odyssey on one of the only 10 [40:45] screens outfitted to run the full-sized IMAX 70 mm 15 preparation film. Hold on, hold on. Doesn't Tampa have one of the I know Tampa and Orlando. Maybe they don't have 70 millimeter ones. Look, I'm from [40:59] Florida. If you have to drive three and a half unless you are on the tip of Key a half unless you are on the tip of Key West. Did it? Maybe you are. That's West. Did it? Maybe you are. That's crazy. That's dedication. Look at you. [41:11] Nolan. I love hearing stories of people going on these pilgrimages to go see the going on these pilgrimages to go see the Odyssey. [41:25] thoughts on X-Men 97 right now? I'm really loving these first three episodes in this season. I'm shocked how much Kang and Pharaoh Ramatut were getting. Like it seems like they were signaling they're okay with recasting Kang. This [41:38] beginning is different Kangs from different eras of time can be played by different eras of time can be played by different actors and uh holy crap like having the Loki music in there. Just interesting. I know this episode of [41:52] X-Men 97 that was like written like four years ago um and animated like three years ago um and animated like three years ago. So, I I don't think that uh like they were thinking about the Jonathan Majors drama with all this, but [42:07] and even bringing in the Loki music. They they want it to kind of be They they want it to kind of be connected. your passion? Because you always have real enthusiasm even if the product [42:22] real enthusiasm even if the product isn't always that good." Thank you, Aaron, for asking that question. uh especially after Supergirl because I for me. I felt like I was a bit more critical of it. But I hope people know [42:37] that I understand how hard it is to make any movie. And even with Supergirl, in my breakdown, I did try to highlight a lot of what I liked about the movie. I series even more. And I wanted to use [42:50] this breakdown to to compare it and to show people like, "Hey, if you liked this movie, great. read this book after you saw it because there's a really cool story and I wanted James Gun's DCU vision to to have a chance, you know. Um [43:07] I I wanted them to prove the naysayers wrong because I do think following Superman with a Supergirl movie is a good decision if it's a good movie and a good script. Uh, and I'm really annoyed that this is kind of where we're at [43:22] right now that like everything's so fraught and now like all the people who are rooting for superhero movies to fail are basically are basically dancing around a bonfire and I I think [43:36] that discourse is premature. I also think other people in the media yelling at those people, it's it's unnecessary right now and I just wish we wouldn't be fighting with each other over it. But u I also think, you know, I'm still [43:50] excited for Lanterns and Clayface and Man of Tomorrow. But yes, uh I I will say that like analyzing TV and film has really always been my passion for as long as I can remember. From the [44:05] time I was a kid watching movies on Turner Classic Movies and IFC channel and Sundance channel, I would immediately go to IMDb Trivia and try to read everything I could about that movie and learn everything I could about the [44:17] and learn everything I could about the director. Um, and I was like that kind of meme of the annoying boyfriend who would just be like, you know, whispering and saying, "Did you know this?" Like, "Oh, did you know that Vgo Mortonson [44:30] and that's why he's actually screaming?" That was totally me. That was probably me like two years ago. Uh before I mean even after that meme came out. Um and wrote for a website called Splitsider where I was kind of doing this kind of [44:44] thing but with comedy shows with sitcoms and Saturday Night Live. And I don't think they're all paywalled behind Vulture or something like that. And a But I was like, I've always been kind of like quantifying and and and analyzing [45:01] media this way. Um, I think it's what God put me on this earth to do. I I mean, there was a time where I wanted to be a screenwriter myself, and maybe I written someday, but I'm really not interested in doing that. I I think I [45:15] found my calling. I'm I'm fortunate to have found my calling doing this kind of thing. And uh at the end of the day, even if it's a movie that I really didn't like, whether it's Supergirl or or Madame Webb or Morbius or Craven, [45:27] or Madame Webb or Morbius or Craven, um I still want to try to identify what things that I liked about it and things that I like about this whole world and that I like about this whole world and this genre of uh of this because like if [45:41] superhero movie franchises as like the NFL and the NBA and the MLB, like team who's having a really bad season, but there's like some kind of spirit [45:54] there and and maybe next season they'll figure it out. Um maybe they'll get a great draft pick and they'll make it to the playoffs the next season. You never know. Uh and that's kind of how I generally look at covering this [46:07] generally look at covering this particular franchise. The Odyssey yet, but my favorite is Interstellar. [46:19] I love Oppenheimer. And I would say third is I mean The Dark Knight used to be in that list, but uh and I think The Dark Knight is still an incredible masterpiece of a [46:34] film, but I think The Prestige might have sneaked past it. The Prestige is a movie that like I can rewatch and rewatch and re-watch. I think eight, like it more. But I would say eight or nine times watching The Dark Knight, you [46:49] still love most of it, but there's some scenes that don't hold up as much. Um, but I do think I mean, what are you guys' top three Christopher Nolan films? [47:09] Yeah, they're both worthy ones. Uh, Momento is also excellent. I'll say that. Uh, Inception is one that it's hard to like I still love Inception for its ambition. Um, but that's similar to The Dark Knight. It's great the first [47:24] four or five times you watch it and then it starts to get harder to defend it the more times you watch it. But there's still I think you just have to still with them. Sarah asking if I've read any good books [47:38] lately. I mean, I read Project Hail Mary this year and I thought it was incredible. And I'm currently reading Emily Wilson's The Odyssey. Uh, and it's also very good. So, I would just recommend those two. [47:51] Yes, you can get a shout out. Uh, Chen Pogy, happy birthday. [48:04] a lot of Interstellars. Some Batman Begins are up there. Top three. Inception, Interstellar Oppenheimer. Not seeing enough tenants out here, guys. seeing enough tenants out here, guys. Really? No tenants, [48:17] Really? No tenants, you guys. Come on. Mushrooms. If I had to I would probably take speed if I had to had to understand Inception. I haven't seen the Odyssey yet, but [48:32] yeah, Polyphimis looks pretty good uh from what I can tell. Maybe I should read Sunrise on the Reaping. I read the other I read the first three, Hunger Games, um, [48:47] whatever, the second one, and then Mocking Jay. Uh, and I thought they were Mocking Jay. Uh, and I thought they were fine. Um, but I have not read the first two ballads of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping. But Abby, we [48:59] found your burner account. Uh, this guy asking, "Why does no one address that all those snapped are going through mutant changes in the MCU, even those with powers already?" Oh, so maybe you're saying since we saw [49:16] Oh, so maybe you're saying since we saw Peter Parker dust away, it's because he got dusted away and dusted back is why he got powers. I mean, if we consider Hulk going through similar changes in this movie, I don't know if that [49:28] explanation is the answer, but but yeah, I mean, I think you're on to something. I think that like the way the Marvel Studios team are going to explain this is that they're going to bring up the [49:41] Infinity Stones, the snap, the the blip period, how everyone came back, the gamma radiation that was emitted by the Stones according to uh Bruce Banner in um in Avengers Endgame. And and I think that will be part of the answer for like [49:55] what's happening to the whole world. So, I'll address it. Here we go. We found Christopher Nolan's burner account. It is the [ __ ] I love burner account. It is the [ __ ] I love Tenant. I love the movie. I obviously [50:09] do. I spent over an hour breaking it down on the Deep Dive channel. Um I really do. This is another movie that like I can admit is not Nolan's best. I don't even know if it's a good movie, but I think about it all the time. It's [50:23] my Roman Empire. I I I think about the music and the way he shot these scenes implications of what's happening in this world and what exactly Kenneth Brana's [50:35] character is trying to do to the world is kind of terrifying. And uh I think it's like Christopher Nolan trying to work out what he ended up working out in Oppenheimer but in an espionage Bond movie with a time construction conceit [50:52] to it. I think it's a very cool, ambitious movie. I think it's beautiful. ambitious movie. I think it's beautiful. Um, and I love it. do. I think Batman part one was pretty dark. Um, I think that's what Matt [51:09] Reeves loves to do. Oh, now we're getting into some fights Oh, now we're getting into some fights over Tenant. [51:26] didn't make videos about SNL. I Thank you. I appreciate this. Um uh I they were articles. They were text articles that I made. This is before YouTubing. then, but I just didn't even think that that could be a career that I did. Uh [51:43] yeah, I I used to do these articles that I would just like kind of recap every episode of SNL. I I was a sketch comedian at this time. So I was like, I can be a sketch comedian that can properly grade these sketches that these [51:56] actors are trying to do. And so I would look at it from that lens about like what the, you know, UCB game of the scene is, if that's what they were trying to do, or what type of sketch it was. And I would um I would assess it [52:08] was. And I would um I would assess it that way. And I would um calculate would make a big pie chart at the end of the season. And I found out later that some of the cast members who I really admired saw my pie charts and it freaked [52:22] them out. Like in the 40th anniversary of the um the oral history, I believe seeing like yeah there were people online who were making pie charts of head. And then I read that and I was like oh no I need to stop doing this. [52:39] other people now on TikTok who are going even further who are doing it episode by episode and are doing it like with a stopwatch, whereas I would just do it based off of like my system was were they the main character of the sketch or [52:52] would get bonus points if they said live from New York. They would get um a a video sketch. If they just had one or two lines, they would get a smaller number of points. And then I added that all that up throughout the season. [53:12] you know what? I've not read The Road by Cormick McCarthy. That's on my reading list. I'll get there. Yeah. Stand. I have to I have to get to some of these. You know what? The Nexus Kid, don't put [53:28] your mom on blast like that. Let's Let me talk to your mom. Let me talk to her. I just I can I give me five minutes and I can I can convert her into a tenant [53:40] I can I can convert her into a tenant head. like the Ryan Gosling fan casting that's happening. Favorite X-Men and X-Men 97 season 2 from the Philippines. Hello uh Jose Michael. Um, [53:58] uh, this season I'm really enjoying, let's see, season two. I mean, Nathan Summers has been great. It's very much a cable season so far, so I'm digging that. Uh, how confident Forge and uh, and Bishop [54:16] are. Like, I'm really digging Forge and Bishop uh, in in every scene that those two. What's happening with the deep dive in the witching hour channels? We're taking a break from them right now. The [54:30] channels will always exist in some form and we will be putting content out them on out on them, but realistically what you're going to see is we'll still do these kind of horror movie analyses, but we will release them on the new [54:43] double upload them to the deep dive and or to the Witching Hour channels. I'm or to the Witching Hour channels. I'm still going to do like deep plunges into older movies. Um, but rather than just release them on this deep dive channel [54:59] alone, I'm going to release them anywhere I want to. Um, so there used to be a time when like the guidance from consultants was like you have to have lots of channels just in case one of them blows up. Uh, and now we're finding [55:15] like you have a successful channel, God bless you, son. Keep making content for so that's what we're trying to do now. We want to best serve those of you on this new rockstar channel. And and I [55:28] think we found that anytime we have one host doing a scripted video essay type format, it's really hard to convince an audience that that is different enough from what we have already done in thousands of videos on the New Rockstars [55:41] channel to justify following it over to another channel. Now, I will say like we have our sister channel, the breakroom, that that content is different enough from most of what we do on the New Rockstars channel. Um, but especially if [55:54] it's the same hosts, like if it's Eric Voss doing a scripted video essay, do you care if it's on the deep dive versus the New Rockstars channel versus the Witching Hour? If it's the amazing Jessica Clemens or the amazing Gina [56:07] Jessica Clemens or the amazing Gina Epilo? Do you care if their horror movie Epilo? Do you care if their horror movie video essay is here on New Rockstars or on this other place? Um, you know, I I I get that like doing live streams, you [56:20] in the live stream, but those other channels, we don't have live streams happening there. So, just like a published video, you know, we want to just get it to you wherever you are. That's why. But, I'm not saying we're [56:34] saying for now, don't expect like original new content to only come out on those channels, if that makes sense. And then maybe in the future the YouTube algorithm will change again and it'll be [56:46] helpful to have those channels and we can have a huge staff or something like that. Like we get a huge angel investor to come in. But like this year we are really just kind of on a skeleton crew just trying to get through this year and [56:58] trying to stick to our mission of covering the titles you guys want us to. And then maybe in the future we can spread our legs and do some indulgent spread our legs and do some indulgent passion projects in other places outside [57:11] of the main channel. So hopefully that answers your question. Hi Omar. Uh thank you. Um I'd be happy to explain to you the minations of tenant over tea and the minations of tenant over tea and biscuits. All right. Uh I I want to hear [57:25] your explanations. I that's my favorite thing is when I don't have to be the one explaining something. That's why I love going to like Comic-Con and and talking love it when people just kind of are like, "No, here's what actually happened [57:38] in the final shot of of Inception." And I just love listening um because like I get so stuck in my own head and it's a lot of work for me to have to like organize my thoughts on the fly like that. So, um yeah, happy happy [57:52] to chat. Do you think we'll ever get answers regarding Hulk's kid? You mean Scar, the kid he doesn't pay child support to? No, I don't think we're ever getting an answer about Scar or what happened to [58:05] him. And you know what? I kind of don't care. Kind of don't care. Um, this person asking, "We'll see that mutants are dangerous, but persecution is escalation. All the mutants introduced are linked to the DODC. Gene [58:21] introduced are linked to the DODC. Gene is the explosion." okay. Cool. Sure. Why not? Um, I don't know if all mutants will be introduced to the DODC. The DODC is just like a a US government organization that's [58:37] hunting mutants down, but there are mutants all over the world, all over the mutants all over the world, all over the cosmos. Okay, you know what, guys? Grow up. I meant to say stretch my legs. You guys just won't let a live stream [58:52] guys just won't let a live stream misspeak in a small way. misspeak in a small way. I want their kids to go to college. [59:05] Um, what would you like to see in postsec wars rebooted MCU? I was talking about this earlier. I really just want to see a mutant saga. Just a Claremont era mutant saga. That's it. That's all I need. Will Marvel do a full reboot after [59:20] full reboot, but I think it'll be like an 80% reboot. [59:33] Uh, there is certainly a chance. What is my ultimate theory for Doomsday? talked about this in any videos. I'm just kidding. And I've talked about this [59:46] in so many videos, but I think uh as of right now, until we get more right now, until we get more information, I think some faction of the Avengers are going to the X-Men universe to get [59:58] are going to the X-Men universe to get to Cerebro to try to use Cerebro to locate the mutant Franklin Richards. That's happening in it. I think another faction of them are going to the TVA using Sentry to investigate what attack [01:00:11] Dr. Doom is doing in the TVA. And Dr. Doom is going to use Sentry as kind of the Beyonder uh molecule man conduit to absorb God of Story's Loki's power. And I think the movie is going to end with the with Dr. Doom completing his plan to [01:00:28] destroy all of these worlds and build battle world like a giant puzzle jigsaw puzzle but with continents and land masses and chunks of cities and it's going to look awesome. That's my theory right now. [01:00:46] going to explain Gan having so much control over her powers for her age with seemingly no Charles to train her? Well, maybe what we're seeing, the kind of chaos that we're seeing and the meanness [01:00:59] that we're seeing in the Brand New Day footage is kind of a lack of control. Maybe that's why she's kind of mean and kind of crazy. And I don't know if this is control what we're seeing. I think we're seeing a lot of application, but I [01:01:11] we're seeing a lot of application, but I don't think that's focused necessarily. you'd like? House of M. I think we need a proper House of M. And that's [01:01:23] something that we can get to in the like phase three of the Mutant Saga. Um, I of M that's very cool and we've just never really seen it. [01:01:35] Yes, this is live. This is happening. That's why I keep misspeaking. Uh SDCC Marvel predictions. Uh I think a doomsday trailer. I think we will see [01:01:50] maybe just attendees will see what Robert Downey Jr.'s face looks like scarred under the mask. Maybe we'll see the opening scene. Like maybe publicly they'll release the Cineacon trailer on YouTube. And then for those of us in [01:02:04] opening scene or something like that. Or scene that comes after Avengers Endgame Encore, the Endgame re-release. That could be like the opening 60 seconds of [01:02:17] Doomsday. Maybe they show that to Comic-Con attendees because then that they could get people excited to go see Avengers Endgame Encore in September because I think this is all going to be part of like um a marketing chain to set [01:02:33] up Infinity Vision, which I think is the stupidest thing, but I I think they're doing this big Infinity Vision thing and Avengers Endgame is like their trial to try to get people to buy tickets this way. Um, I don't think seeing movies in [01:02:47] PLF formats is stupid. I just think calling it Infinity Vision is like a weird thing for Marvel to do if like it doesn't include IMAX all the time. But I'm I have since learned that for Avengers Endgame Encore, I think it will [01:03:02] include IMAX. It's just going to be for Avengers Doomsday, it won't include IMAX. And I'm like, well, then it's just weird. then it's just like a weird pointless category because not all PLFs are created [01:03:16] equally. I think Screen X and Dolby are completely different viewing experiences. So, I don't think having one big umbrella label for them is actually that great. I I think you should have it should be on filmmakers [01:03:28] videos like what Ryan Cougler did and what what Christopher Nolan is now doing talking about the Odyssey and kind of explain how their particular project will look and feel different depending on what format you see it in. Um I don't [01:03:43] think it's that hard to do and I don't think Infinity Vision as like a branding opportunity addresses that type of messaging. I want to see Nolan a Nolan Western next. Thoughts? [01:03:57] Yeah. Hell yeah. I'm down for a Nolan Western. Yeah. What is his genre that he likes to do so far? He's really liking doing period pieces. His past two films have been period pieces. Um [01:04:13] yeah. You know what's interesting? Um so, so Christopher Nolan has this kind Universal right now. He used to make movies with Warner Brothers, but then Warner Brothers putting all their movies on streaming in 2021 really pissed off [01:04:27] Christopher Nolan, so he left. And now for the past two movies, he's been working with Universal. Well, Universal, Comcast, Universal's parent company, is just putting the Universal, the NBC Universal film studio, Peacock, and The [01:04:40] Parks up for sale. Um, so if that Christopher Nolan's not going to stick with Universal because unless Ted Sarando says that like, and I'm not saying that Netflix has expressed any [01:04:54] interest in buying NBC Universal, I'm kind of getting three steps ahead, but someone is going to want to buy NBC Universal. And then I know Ted Sarandos wanted he wanted Warner Brothers, so if he he didn't have a chance to get it, [01:05:07] uh, so maybe now he goes after that. But I think that it creates this possibility start making movies with Disney. Um, which I just find interesting. Or with like A24. I mean, any of these studios are going to be falling over [01:05:21] themselves to have him make movies for them. I would imagine that even Ted Sandos would be like, "Okay, okay, okay, okay. I'll guarantee you 60day minimum theatrical window. Should John Delansancy be a live action [01:05:34] Kang?" Sure. Cast 12 different people to play live action Kangs. I'm I'm not play live action Kangs. I'm I'm not going to complain. K Sober asking uh oh by the way, thank you virtual reality fitness for your super chat and K Sober, [01:05:46] thank you as well. Do you think House of M will come into some point um soon? Either Secret Wars or some spin-off. I don't think it'll be soon. I think we're like eight years away if they ever want to go in that direction. [01:05:59] Do you ever want to write for Marvel, whether TV film or comics? No. I think be better writers than I would. um people whose stories need to be told and with the world. I don't think that's what I was put on this planet to do. Um [01:06:17] write a screen. I've written screenplays. I would love to have one of those screenplays produced or or be a producer on a film or a director of a film. Um I'd love to direct a documentary. Um there's there's all [01:06:31] documentary. Um there's there's all kinds of projects I'd want to do, but um yeah, I don't think it's going to help if you hire me to be in the writer room you know, Daredevil Born Again season 4 or something like that. Um there's just [01:06:45] so many other people who would do better in that position than I would. aren't mutants will be named as mutants? Maybe Peter. post Secret Wars, maybe [01:06:58] including people like Camala in that saga. Yeah. Yeah, I do think uh Peter Parker, I think there's gonna be a lot of characters who just get the Mword status. Uh yeah, I think that's going to happen a lot and I think it's going to [01:07:13] annoy a lot of people. I hope Spider-Man and Kitty Pride become I hope Spider-Man and Kitty Pride become a become a thing. Okay. a become a thing. Okay. All right. [01:07:27] Marvel movie. There's no way Nolan would ever do it. No way. No. No way. How would you bring Venom into the MCU? Secret Wars or probably? Yeah, Secret Wars seems like the one place it could happen. [01:07:47] Ah, good bit. Harry Styles in a Nolan movie for getting uh what's it called? Christopher Nolan can make a great actor out of anyone. Um, he he he definitely [01:08:00] proved that there. Okay, so we're going to leave it there. I got to I got to shoot this house of the dragon breakdown and then get home. [01:08:12] Um, but guys, yeah, Bullseye. Yeah, make him a mutant. I think that's a good example. Um, tells us what movies are filmed for IMAX Dolby. Yeah, maybe doing that as at least a short. Maybe we can do that. Like what it's going to [01:08:25] look like shot in IMAX, Dolby, or other screen formats and make recommendations. I love this idea. Copying and pasted this from Chris Allen 4842. Thank you. best. This has been a lot of fun. Big thanks to uh Brian who set up this [01:08:40] stream and to Joshua who also helped set up the stream and created the thumbnail.
