# Use This YouTube Formula to Get More Views

> Source: [Use This YouTube Formula to Get More Views](https://youtube.com/watch?v=9pfF9ocA7sM)

## Summary

This video presents a three-part YouTube formula for creating high-performing videos: selecting a strong topic, crafting a compelling title, and designing an effective thumbnail. The host demonstrates the process in real-time using tools like vidIQ, ChatGPT, and Canva, emphasizing that the topic itself is the most critical factor for success.

### Key Points

- **Three-Part Formula Overview** [00:03] — The video covers topic selection, title creation, and thumbnail design in under two minutes each, with a live demonstration.
- **Four Tools for Video Ideas** [00:41] — Tools include AnswerThePublic, Ask.com, ChatGPT, and vidIQ's AI Coach. These help generate ideas based on audience questions and channel data.
- **Using AnswerThePublic** [01:33] — Enter a topic like 'bass fishing' to see questions people are asking, which can inspire video ideas. Free version allows three searches per day.
- **Ask.com Mind Map** [03:12] — Ask.com provides a free mind map of related questions, helping uncover video ideas you might not have considered.
- **vidIQ AI Coach** [03:41] — vidIQ's AI Coach connects to your YouTube channel and suggests personalized video ideas, titles, and descriptions. It's more powerful than generic ChatGPT because it's trained on YouTube strategy.
- **ChatGPT for Ideas** [05:09] — ChatGPT (3.5 free, 4 paid) can generate 25 video ideas for a specific niche, e.g., 25 ideas for a YouTube strategy channel.
- **Topic Is #1 Priority** [05:26] — The host ranks YouTube success factors: 1st topic, 2nd thumbnail, 3rd title, 4th description, 5th tags. The topic itself is most important.
- **Crafting Titles: Write at Least 5** [07:44] — Before finalizing a title, brainstorm at least five options. Use ChatGPT or vidIQ to generate variations. Front-load important words for mobile viewing and keep it under 55 characters if possible.
- **Thumbnail Design in Canva (Under 2 Minutes)** [13:50] — Select a template, remove background from a photo, add minimal text (prefer three words or less), ensure readability. Use ThumbsUp.tv to preview how the thumbnail looks with the title on different devices.
- **Common Thumbnail Mistakes** [21:11] — Too much text, repeating title text in thumbnail, busy backgrounds, and looking off-camera are common errors. Use no words if possible, or just a key word like 'deadly'.
- **Search vs. Browse Content** [25:21] — Use search-based content for evergreen topics with ongoing search volume; use browse/trending content for timely topics. Best creators tap into both.
- **Marketing via YouTube Algorithm** [30:25] — If your video satisfies viewers (good CTR and retention), YouTube markets it for you – essentially self-marketing through the algorithm.

### Conclusion

The key to YouTube growth is a systematic approach: pick a strong topic using research tools, craft an attention-grabbing title, and design a simple, readable thumbnail. The video emphasizes that the topic itself matters most, and that content creators should view their channel as a business to invest in the right tools and education.

## Transcript

I'm going to be going through three parts where we're going to be designing together our YouTube topic then a powerful title that will get people to click and then a thumbnail in under two minutes and I'm going to have you follow
along with me so that ultimately by following this tutorial you can make better videos that are getting more views and I've never really taught this information before ultimately I designed a YouTube formula and we're going to be
going through the first part today so buckle your seat Bel and watch until the end and let's get straight into this with part one now you can check out time codes and chapters but I want to talk about four ways to quickly come up with
video ideas that get views one of the biggest mistakes that people make is they start recording their video before they do any research they start be recording their video before they actually develop a strategy so taking
some time in this first part even though it might not seem super fun is one of the most important things you can do so here's the four tools um here's the four tools um answerthepublic.com also ask.com chat.
answerthepublic.com also ask.com chat. open.com chat GPT and then vid iq.com as well we're going to use their tools so you've got some free options here each one of these has a paid level and let's go through all of them really quick and
then what we're going to be doing is designing a video together now if you're live with me uh smash like and Shout me out where you're watching from Super the play # replay famam but let's look at the first two now I'm going to focus
on the second two but uh let's just quickly overview what these are if you go to answerthepublic.com you can enter a topic this would be your channel topic and one to two words works best now you get like three free searches per day and
let's assume your channel was about bass fishing you could enter bass fishing and volume there is you could see the paid difficulty search difficulty don't worry actually starts showing you is a bunch of great video ideas remember here in
this first stage we just want to come up with a strong topic now I'm going to use we're just going to come up with like a YouTube strategy topic since that's what we do here on think media but using these first two examples I just want you
to have these tools so you can see how they work so let's say you had a fishing comments like what kind of channel do you have you start seeing these great video ideas like our Bass fish good to eat is bass fishing good after the rain
and actually let me be clear every one of these might not be a good video idea inspiration what we're looking for is maybe a video idea we wouldn't have thought to create and the good news about
answerthepublic.com is these are questions the public is actually answer asking like what kind of videos do people want to see answerthepublic.com can tell you the videos people want to see so this gives you a bunch of ideas
one of our favorite strategies at thick media is the versus strategy just comparing two things together and you could see bass fishing versus trout might be interesting you know that gives you a video idea now also ask.com is
another website again you get a couple free searches there's a paid level but the free version is very cool you can select your country enter in your topic and then it gives you this kind of mindmap of flowing ideas bass fishing
what is the best bait for bass fishing how deep should I fish for bass and you can go deeper and deeper into this mind map again leading you to maybe a video idea you wouldn't have thought to create otherwise and so there's really endless
ideas here but I also want to talk about vid IQ now we are an affiliate for vid IQ this video isn't sponsored um but we do have an affiliate link and if you want to check out vid iq.com slink even if you get the free version definitely
worth your time but here's what's kind of cool about this tool is um this is called their AI coach and it's actually um connected to your YouTube channel once bit IQ connects to your YouTube channel using the power of chat
GPT it's really better than chat GPT because not only is it connected to your YouTube channel um but it's conditioned to be an AI coach with YouTube strategy in mind so here's what I just clicked I said based on my channel what video
ideas do you have for me so it's giving me ideas right now uh The Ultimate Guide to the YouTube Studio mobile app around and then it tells you a description a thumbnail the length the target audience is all pretty cool um here's the second
title avoid these Seven Deadly mistakes new YouTubers make and then mastering uh DJI Wireless content and then a FastTrack for YouTube monetization my journey these are all actually really great ideas and they're tied directly
great ideas and they're tied directly into vid IQ analyzing my channel and let's just show one other thing you could do if you wanted to um go to chat GPT I do pay for four but you could use 3.5 for free you could say write 25
3.5 for free you could say write 25 video ideas for a Channel about YouTube strategy and uh we'll let that populate out so in part one what we're looking for is we're looking for a great video idea and this is the most underestimated
aspect of YouTube success in my opinion the topic is itself like if I was to reverse rank the importance of things you can do on YouTube I think tags is in like fifth place description is in like fourth place I think if YouTube gives
you the space you should use it you know you should fill it out tags can be for verification that you've done everything else right more than influencing the actual results of your video I think that title would be in third place
thumbnail would be in second place but in first place would be the topic itself like the most important thing is coming up with like a great YouTube video idea related to your Niche that's going to attract Your Right audience and so um so
here's 25 ideas is really great the basics of the algorithm how to optimize titles again you're going to apply this to your Niche but we're talking about this in relation to uh this think media channel talking about YouTube strategy
so um there's all of our tools so we talked about you could use uh AI coach you could use chat GPT answer the public also asked inevitably if you do a probably come up with a lot of different video ideas I'm going to stick with for
part one here avoid these Seven Deadly mistakes new YouTubers make and here's what I'm going to do together in this video I am going to uh build out with video I am going to uh build out with you topic title and thumbnail okay so we
got our topic avoid these Seven Deadly mistakes new YouTubers make great now let's jump into title because that's actually a pretty good title but I think we can also see what else we maybe could
come up with again if you want to check out vid iq.com think and also um by the way I'm kind of going quick through this tutorial but I just got done with about seven hours of Deep dive tactical YouTube training that you can get access
to for entirely free it was called our five-day challenge I went a little a day but it's ond demand replays are available right now so after this video or if you want to jump over there you can access all of that free training
can access all of that free training free at tube 1K challenge.com and there's a link in the description down below where we go even deeper than this video If you like this you'll love tube 1K challenge.com but in part two how do
you craft a powerful YouTube title that gets clicks okay that's what we're going to talk about so back to our three steps topic title thumbnail smash like if
you're getting value so if we have avoid these seven deadly mistakes there's a um if you want to use something like chat GPT you can now say write 10 chat GPT you can now say write 10 different titles for a video
about in quotes uh avoid these Seven Deadly mistakes now you know it's kind of cool here you could also say sometimes I like having titles uh be a little bit shorter and I'll say under
55 characters because your YouTube titles can be 100 characters long but the first few words are what people see and oftentimes shorter is better if you can communicate the full message or get trigger people's curiosity trigger
people's interest and so um let's see what uh they're coming up with over here seven common pit Falls every new YouTuber should watch out for starting a mistakes the seven biggest blunders um new to YouTube still stare
clear of these mistakes these are really good um let's also just throw it over here to see what we could do which video topic has the most potential by the way which is kind of cool of now we're using vid iqai coach and we've already picked
our topic but I just saw that prompt and it one kind of um triggered me here so it's saying High performing based on the audience demographics this thing is if you're Balling on a budget starting your YouTube career there is a cost to
um you know the high level like the Boost level of in IQ but eventually it's totally worth it uh to be able to have just these kind of insights because YouTube channel is like generating money it really is a no-brainer to have tools
distraction what I'm going to do is I'm going to type in avoid these seven mistakes and I'm going to say write uh five title ideas for this
video so here's what we're after and this is I've never shared this before actually like when coming up with titles I think the mistake people make is they just write one even if like most of us
Creator you're trying to you know break through it sometimes could feel really lonely it could feel frustrating I want to encourage you before picking your final title you should always write at least five hey thanks so much for the
Super Chat uh I'll swing back around to that in a little bit but I encourage you to write at least five so here's let's let's go through these and pick out ones we think are good enough YouTube beginners beware Seven Deadly mistakes
to avoid stop are you making these seven YouTuber mistakes seven mistakes every new YouTuber makes and how to avoid them so I like that one so what I'm GNA do is I'm gonna come up with at least five um the seven mistakes every
newtuber makes and how to avoid them okay I like that one new to YouTube don't make these seven fatal errors seven YouTube mistakes that could kill your channel it's pretty good I know that sometimes people go this
feels a little click baity but you know you do want to bait the click like that's that's the goal you want to do it ethically so you you want you don't want to deceive somebody or lie but sometimes people are like oh that hype well if the
video actually delivers mistakes that could kill your channel then that's a marketing is Queen and she runs the household some people are afraid of marketing their videos and they suffer as a result by not getting views so um
seven common pit F Falls to watch out for starting a new channel now here's doing this this is going to influence the very direction of the video itself because am I am I talking to people who are
starting a new channel well if that then that makes that title a little bit better like the angles on the titles new to YouTube am I talking to somebody that is new to YouTube so knowing who you're talking to in all of this brainstorming
talking to in all of this brainstorming Zero to Hero bypassing rookie year airs don't love that one new YouTubers guide also pretty good and by the way what's kind of cool about this is using some of these tools you can mix and match so I'm
I like new YouTubers guy but I don't love seven slip-ups you must evade okay so but we could use new YouTubers guide great unlock YouTube success by dodging the seven faas interesting okay so I think we have
faas interesting okay so I think we have enough so notice what I did over here is I got uh I brainstormed a couple titles to see which one is my favorite and I might even remix these a little way a little bit so let me actually get the
the font a little bit smaller and uh what eventually we're going to do is we're going to go to a website called thumbs up TV and one of the things you our thumbnail and we're going to put our title in here to see how they look
together totally free website I'm skipping ahead though um so let's decide what title we want to go with the new YouTubers guide so if we go final kind of like uh new to YouTube let's see the new
YouTubers guide and then I like uh I don't love that actually one you know out of these I think the kill need the avoid seven YouTube mistakes that could kill your channel pretty good
avoid these Seven Deadly mistakes that new YouTubers make that's also decent that was original that was actually the topic idea right generated by AI coach from vid IQ but I but I also like front loading I don't know if you can go wrong
at this point so so that's what we've done here right now in part two which let's now go to part three and I'm going to completely risk my reputation and put myself out there to the internet thank
you so much for being here smash like if you're getting value um and we're going nervous but here we go so here's part three we're going to do tips for and record
but we're going to do two minutes on the clock uh what we're actually be doing is affiliate link you can check it out I know a lot of us probably already use canva if you go to designwith canva.com you actually could get design with
everything you can actually get a free trial of the pro account now also a good investment and I know that sometimes we could be like geez you know there's you know a lot of different uh things to invest in well this is a business I mean
unless it's just a hobby and so I think switching our mindset like Jay-Z put it best right he said I'm not a businessman I am a business man so it's like if building a YouTube channel it's one thing to think about it with like a kind
of beginner hobbyist dabbler mindset it's a whole another thing to shift your mindset to be like I'm going to dominate this is a business I'm going to invest in this I'm going to invest in my education my learning my attitude so I
don't know sometimes if we're intimidated by 14 bucks a month 22 bucks a month I'm not trying to be insensitive but like the tools of the Creator economy these are the tools of content creation so anyways so let's get canva
up what we're going to do is we're gonna design a YouTube thumbnail in two minutes let me get Siri involved and uh and let's just see how this goes let me and let's just see how this goes let me remember let's let's recap here avoid
make uh seven mistakes that could kill your channnel is what we're going to do thumbnail here and we're going to see what happens I'm nervous okay here we go uh where are we here we are all right okay canva okay internet okay think
okay canva okay internet okay think media set a timer for two minutes two minutes all right here we go counting down so what we're gonna do is we're gonna say YouTube thumbnail I'm going to say um uh uh
spooky actually cu you know it's kind of October um interesting so let's see what we got here um which one do y'all like I've here um which one do y'all like I've already taken too much time um let's go
this one okay so I'm gonna customize this thumbnail template now this is a huge key and I do want to just tease that I've got a couple uh pre-shot photos here that are going to be helpful
for me so I'm going to throw in a picture and obviously having that ready and I would encourage you if you haven't done this yet add this to your workflow I'm going say edit image here and I'm going to do background remover now it's
image take it against the wall you know take it with your phone or whatever you're just going to be able to get a crispy shot um and background remover I think is a pro feature inside of canva and so highly
feature inside of canva and so highly recommended so boom now we got we got don't quite look scared enough but that's okay I think that I like I like this idea now typically I wouldn't recommend fonts like this um but uh
let's decide here seven mistakes that could kill your channel and um let's could kill your channel and um let's head back over here and say uh head back over here and say uh YouTube uh mistakes and you know what I
deadly now now I actually do need to change this font it's just just not readable enough and I think that uh I think the background is going to be good enough for me meaning I would much rather the
font be readable yeah that's that works so what are we doing helveta canoe so okay Hela canoe uh yeah okay all right well done so let's go to minute three here okay so I actually want we're going to
go YouTube and we're going to YouTube and we're going to go copy this word and go deadly side not that original I think
vid IQ title right deadly yeah it's pretty great and by the way because we've gone through this research process now we are pulling insights from all these different deals let me move the blood over here a little bit more kind
of there I want more maybe some more blood so there's like they're really deadly like how deadly are these mistakes they're really um okay so let's see deadly YouTube mistakes I'm pretty pumped um and you could see how I almost
hit the two minutes um I went into this with absolutely no plan so so forgive me time we're done and you got to do some tweaking let me get the mistakes off of my finger and let me copy the blood over here forgive me for also being like a
so much faster Sean like what's wrong with you like I don't even know what I'm it's There's Hope for all of us let me shrink down this Blood a little bit yeah yeah yeah that's actually I just want a tiny little spurt that spurt
right there yeah this in the corner that's and that's maybe a little unnecessary tweaking all right deadly YouTube mistakes what do you think rate the thumbnail what could I do better what what could be
what what could be improved uh and and uh by the way talk about tent poles and Trend surfing good time of year to do a video that is
relevant hey maybe this video hey just wait subscribe I'm I'm about to drop this video on Tuesday coming this coming week was a good idea um who would have
actually doing is actually making a video together right okay so uh that should be a great video all right now now watch this we're going to drag and drop our Halloween thumbnail here happy Halloween into uh
here happy Halloween into uh into thumbs up TV and then we're going to take our title now I'm liking the deadly one but I already deadly one but I already say let's go kill all
channel and what we're going to do is we're going to paste it right here and now check this cool thing out now you can see what the full experience is seven YouTube mistakes that could kill your channel great
your channel great um toggle to dark mode interesting you thumbs uptv.com a lot of people on mobile on dark mode in fact tell me in mobile on dark mode in fact tell me in the chat are you dark mode or light mode
forth between dark and you could see how good it looks when it's small seven how how it looks with the title underneath it the length of that title is pretty great you could see when it's got the text on the right side so this
kind of lets you just preview it and all these different places um and I think I'm I'm pretty happy with the results and so that was you know showing you you think that's fair can we agree that that was three minutes if you go to
ca but here's a couple thumbnail mistakes that most people make they do too much text in fact we shoot for three words or less and if possible no words like by the way the thumbnail of this very video um I came up with uh
an hour ago with canva I feel like it's a little more advanced I mean there's some canva people out here that are pretty great but the thumbnail of this video um was canva as well now that by the way good photography is always going
to be helpful to you and what is this video called use this YouTube formula to get more views so so uh you know use this
so so uh you know use this YouTube formula to get get more views and there you go so another example of a canva thumbnail this one example of a canva thumbnail this one probably took me 10 minutes 15 minutes
and uh kind of interesting what's my point no words um and I don't know if that it's if you could tell the story and let the title speak so too much text repeating the title text in the thumbnail um busy and confusing
thumbnails huge mistakes that people make so too much text it there's no need to repeat it notice that because of our research we were able to take in a way two powerful titles from our research the deadly mistakes and the kill your
same thing like you could have the deadly in the thumbnail the kill in the deadly in the thumbnail the kill in the title and so ultimately uh I think that avoid some of those things we use thumbs up TV now I have a really embarrassing
thumbnail from early on in my journey that illustrates these mistakes so what do you think about this masterpiece what's wrong with this thumbnail you what's wrong with this thumbnail you tell me and so uh this thumbnail uh one
I'm kind of pixelated I don't remember the quality I I I'm too small like for the different sizes like there there I am I don't need that much body that much is in the upper right hand corner horrible place to put that no need to
put that I'm looking off to the side there's a thousand words on this dang thing there's hashtags on it I made this thumbnail like 13 years ago so hopefully I've been improving avoid this much words uh this many words this is like
what not to do now this is some recent think media thumbnails that we are trying to do best practices on notice the Canon M50 tutorial no words notice there's kind of a versus external hard drives versus best hard drives notice
drives versus best hard drives notice different details where it's maybe Max none of them have four words Nolan's video that you know day one day two and the subscriber growth so I think this kind of illustrates you know what is is
media podcast Channel which by the way if you didn't know we have another Channel think media podcast on YouTube every week I'm releasing a podcast on Tuesday and Thursday and it's a video podcast a lot of great interviews lots
linked up in the description as well if channel I did a live stream I think that was like with a message for Christian content creators um and I wanted to come up with the thumbnail so again using
um I put in a picture you know a little bit of confus and then I was thinking about like how do I tell this story and how do I have as few words as possible I mean talk about kind of like God question mark is obviously a like a
question mark is obviously a like a one-word question God what could that where I was going with it trying to you know Implement some of these things to like create some curiosity and it just kind of shows you the power of canva you
know my background is Photoshop I've been using Photoshop since 2005 and but years mainly because I'm spending a lot of time in kind of the leadership role but when I am jumping in and creating content just like I am right now I've
what do you use for design do you have any recommendations let me know now I do have a couple St questions I'm going to get to if you're just jumping on catch the replay there was part one all about topics part two all about titles and
then part three all about thumbnails um and then also if you enjoy uh this type of training and you missed our free 5ay challenge there's essentially seven hours of free content but it is only available for limited time I really go
course and whatnot and whether that's right for you or not I Tau for seven hours this week of tactical strategic content and the on demand replays are content and the on demand replays are available at tube 1K challenge.com so
check those out in the description down below and then uh let me know how you're feeling where you're watching from I'm going to hit your questions first of all thank you jto arts for the Super Chat I haven't been able to post because
of college fair enough at what point does my content if you can check change from being search based to non-search based well channels can include both types of content so you don't have to make well
it's not there's not a point that your content changes I do think if you're even think it matters when you're starting I think that you should use the best tool for the job you know you're going to use a screwdriver a hammer in
one situation a screwdriver in another situation but you're not going to use a saw for the same thing you're trying to do for a hammer the power of search-based content is that if you know there's search volume and if you know
topic that people are going to be looking for for years that search as a traffic source and just like having a video that's positioned for search is the best tool for the job on the flip side maybe you're going more of a trend
ending you're jumping on something it doesn't maybe have a long lifespan the topic is more of a trend it's relevant for this week or maybe this month then gonna okay I want to hit browse features I want to hit suggestion I want to go
viral I want the algorithm to promote it and hopefully that happens the best creators are tapping into both not just one of the tools so what if you haven't started a YouTube channel yet well then watch what we just did Mike because this
is the information I wish I had um and that is uh being able to you know learn basically this by the way this is what we talk about during the the challenge
is this seven steps that I created you know I started YouTube 16 years ago actually it seems kind of crazy you know eventually they get you a gold play button like this I think I've got three silver play buttons think media podcast
video influencers and Sean canel and then one goldplay button for uh for think media this channel and so um over the years I've kind of developed a system of how to consistently create YouTube videos that
get views if you're interested in that that is what this YouTube challenge is channel yet you're in the best position mike check it out uh you can watch the on demand replays at tube 1K
challenge.com great question and let's hit up Mara hey Sean I'm blind content creator I teach people how to crochet without sight but
I'm in an area with a lot of fighting crocheters um let's see what else it says here I how can I get ahead and teach what I know I'm curious what you mean by by fighting meaning are they literally
competition I'll approach the question for both sides so how do you create an edge and get an advantage over your competition in general I I competition in general I I suppose a couple things one is ask how
can you be different Sally hog head said different is better than better you I'm super inspired to hear you know that you're creating content you're using you're stepping out there there's already unique things about you you
actually want to leverage your uniqueness not avoid it or discount it because when everybody else is the same you want to be what Seth Goden calls the Purple Cow there's a book about that imagine driving past a cow pasture and
seeing 100 normal black and white spotted milk cows and then you saw a purple cow you'd be like that's really weird it would stop you stop the scroll you would you would look you would check it out so how can you leverage your
difference and then the other thing I would encourage you is you know 99% of content creators aren't going to do what I just showed you in this video so if you actually improve your Mastery of a system of coming up with good video
ideas doing your research crafting a script in fact make sure you're subscribed because in the future I'll keep going and talk about let's craft the hook let's actually craft the video um and so those are a few tips for you
Marsha I really appreciate you um how do you Market your videos you know for time sake I would say that we go through so many tactics inside of the tube 1K challenge that's watch those replays for a lot of marketing tactics but here's
actually an interesting answer to your question if you do the steps right essentially YouTube markets your videos for you like by the time you get to what we call the rocket phase the video just takes on a life of its own because if
it's satisfying viewers that are watching if it's clear who it's for and it's resonating with a particular type of audience that you've defined and thought about ahead of time then and it continues to get a good click through
rate and average VI duration then essentially you YouTube markets your essentially you YouTube markets your videos for you um jodo Arts the think guys' strategy about making content that people are looking for it helped me
reach 15,000 views total congrats jodo Joda Arts always super grateful to hear that the content on this channel is uh changing lives and so thank you for sharing that is the picture of Sean done with AI no those pictures today um that
with AI no those pictures today um that we've been looking at here are um just photos taken with a camera and so one of the taken with a camera and so one of the things I do recommend doing is setting
things I do recommend doing is setting up a um what do you call it like a get a tripod or some shoe boxes in a water bottle and like get your camera set up front of a window or whatnot and think about potentially getting a back
drop now you could just use a sheet or something but for a few dollars on Amazon um and we'll link this up I I I would say gray because gray is just a nice neutral easy to cut out for a few
neutral easy to cut out for a few dollars on Amazon let's be specific $26 you can get a backdrop and have it shipped to your house in two days depending on where you're living right and then tack this
up even without a stand you could use nails or screws now you got holes in your walls got a patch those later um and and tack up a backdrop now if you buy a softbox lighting kit or something so you can have good lighting um bottom
so you can have good lighting um bottom line get a batch of photos that you can line get a batch of photos that you can use in thumbnails in the future so let use in thumbnails in the future so let me see here uh this is my example for
you can I zoom in more than this um let me just do it this way now these are actually taken now at our podcast Studio that has been developed over the years somebody else's middle that's what my friend John a always says obviously
things are pretty crispy these days but some of the photos we wanted to take some of the photos we wanted to take were more um native to an environment elements in them but the other option you have is this and so you also could
or do you know somebody because once you get a batch like I when I did this batch I want to say this batch of thumbnails lasted me a year I mean I took a lot but I I was like I had do another thumbnail shoot for like literally 12 months so
just a tip like figure it out photo backdrop maybe some lighting your smartphone can get some really crispy results when you know how to use it so good question definitely consider that thanks for the Super Chat architectural
sheet metal could you do some ideation and add an entertainment Edge to An Education topic um I mean I sure I think that this
could be wrong just because by the way what would be real interesting is now you're giving me ideas is if I change my lighting maybe I make it a little bit darker in here I get a flicker I get a candle light around me or something you
know and I'm like what are the mistakes now we're going entainment so this would be the idea like obviously I'm just teaching Seven Deadly mistakes and I could just be like mistake one mistake two mistake three and this exact same
setup or I could make costume out and put a little bit of drama to it now I may not do that as a live stream I like to teach live like this but um yeah so how do you take education entertainment could be music
costumes themes tying two things together we literally did it in real time I had no idea this was going to be the final result uh but this was this is tying into the trend tying into the year tying into um a little bit different POS
positioning tying into where people's mindsets at and it's it is more mindsets at and it's it is more entertaining than just raw information edutainment is a major Trend how can if you have education how can you also make
it entertaining what's your print uh opinion about the free editing tool cap cut cap Cut's like my favorite mobile editor it's what I use for editing I haven't used the desktop version but I think cap cut is incredible how do you
avoid a copyright claim um that's kind of a topic subscribe for another day uh of a topic subscribe for another day uh watch the recent video as well that um watch the recent video as well that um Nolan and a couple facelist creators did
on think media if you missed that one facelist creators ultimately have the ultimate uphill battle with copyright claims because they're ultimately using
claims because they're ultimately using OPC what did he just say no no no not OP like Naughty by Nature o OPC other people's content yeah faceless channels are using OPC other people's content and so in this video that uh Nolan did um
we'll link this up in the description uh they really break down a couple faceless experts uh about some copyright principles that can apply to copyright principles that can apply to all of us and so that is a no Miss think
media video appreciate the question in fact do these strategies work if you're doing a faceless Channel Tyson asks absolutely thankful to be almost 3,000 unbreakable Fitness I really appreciate that a major shout out to vid IQ just to
be clear nobody is sponsoring this video uh directly right but we are an affiliate for a few different people proudly including vid IQ and and side note when it comes to the ideation process if you actually want to try uh I
think a $1 trial of the Boost plan um you could can crush it for the next month for a dollar at vid iq.com think and see if you like it and see the results the cool thing about vid IQ is not only is the AI coach insane so
there's the AI coach that can audit your channel for you and help you come up the title and then help help you write the script and you'd say Sean is it better than chat gbt it is I mean they leverage the chat GPT algorithm or API
or whatever but then they layer over the YouTube knowledge see that's what makes things interesting and proprietary right is like an AI coach takes like General Ai and then makes it specific for the pain points of YouTube creators pair
that to the fact that it analyzes your channel analytics so it's giving you data driven insights and not just like generic prompts and something like chat on top of that you have like the daily ideas generator so we didn't even touch
this would be like another tool within the tool of right now this is plugged into think media and if we go down to personalized ideas it even tells you the view prediction so Blackmagic camera app on the I-15 Pro what you need to know
that at think media I can't wait for you guys to meet Nate he's goingon to be dropping some videos on the channel soon um a lot of black magic Da Vinci resolve stuff he's an expert in that as well um what happens in Premiere Pro on a daily
basis Sony versus Canon photography challenge that's pretty cool so these you like new ones come all the time and then there's also their um AI uh title
generator and so daily video ideas is here they have a couple different um ways to come up with uh content generators here like so there's a lot of cool things anyways vid iq.com think all the resources are in the description and
really great to hear your results on breakable Fitness 3,000 Subs that's a huge milestone and um and thanks so much for sharing that Trey says every time Sean Sean says Landing the plane you all got to do
push-ups that's a good idea that's a good way to stay in massive shape and as we land the plane um okay uh Trey also says I just signed up for V and there's lots of value in there amazing Trey super grateful for
you welcome to the V fam uh should I take down my old videos if my new brand needs to look more professional you know I've left up my old videos like if you haven't seen for example like my first video I didn't take it down and it's not
as professional like check this out all right so uh this is I guess the first to Vlog so not quite as professional as you
know now crispy like switching angles you know so I think that uh it's totally up to you I think it's cool on YouTube to see people's journey I think that go to your old videos it's the algorithm that will surface your new videos um but
it's up to you to design your own brand and so um if you want to make them and so um if you want to make them private I or unlisted I would not delete them because I think it's really cool to have the artifacts of your journey we
all start at zero we all start scared we all start messy we all you got to start before you're ready and I think it's really cool to see the progression um really cool to see the progression um and so that's my personal opinion T shy
when you start getting trolls as your only comments on reals am I not hitting the Right audience that's a really good question so if you're talking about Instagram reals or YouTube shorts or YouTube comments I think on the one hand
if your content's a little bit more broad appeal and you just are maybe you have to be okay that you're hitting trolls I mean you know like some people their opinion is that all press is good press and so if your content is
triggering or controversial or polarizing or just you want to reach a lot of people or or viral in any way because the nature of viral is you're seeing it and if a lot of different people see it then you're going to get
all kinds of positive or maybe a lot of negative comments and oftentimes comments can be a dumpster fire on social media so I think that if you're trolls there's like something wrong there because it's like do you have a
group of people that have an agenda against you or something um I so it can against you or something um I so it can be a sign of hitting the wrong audience but I think there's also perspective flip we need once you start giving
getting some negative comments generally I suggest it's a sign of success it's just a sign you're it's a sign you're doing something right the famous quote he said like listen if you don't want any negative criticism
just do nothing be nothing and say nothing that's the formula like if you want no negative comments just don't start a YouTube channel don't post opinions or even share your content at all guaranteed you won't get any
negative comments but actually the day you get your first hater or your first troll you honestly should celebrate a little bit because you'd be like hey it little bit and I think you want to have empathy for people because when you're
reaching strangers on the internet the empathy is of course they shouldn't be mean and rude and oftentimes people are but like they don't know you you know distance like you just somehow popped into their life you popped into their
shorts feed their real feed and so the fact that they don't like you or they're critical who can't like they're they they're such at a distance from you you know my definition of success is that I want the people closest to me to love
people say like if you don't have my phone number then I'm really not going to take your opinion to Heart like I'll listen to some general information and comments but like if you don't like act know me then why am I giving so much of
my personal power to Johnny pants 42 in the YouTube comment section you know if my wife my kids people now on the think media team my closest friends like those your heart they know your character and so once you start getting a little bit
of trolls this is a sign of success study anybody that's been successful and they've had haters they've had push back so you actually join an elite group of something actually doing something actually building something it's never
the critic that counts it's the person that's in the ring pushing record making mistakes but daring greatly in the process and actually building something I'm a builder I'm team Builder not team critic all right does The Challenge
include how to create YouTube videos I have 12 vids but I'm struggling for ideas um The Challenge includ includes things like scripting we do go through like a four-part formula of of like having better video production and
things like that um it's really heavy on the strategy you know Declan Kirk I think you'll love it and it's totally free so you can check it out at t1k challenge.com Link in the description U you'd really have nothing
to lose right what is your thoughts on faceless or talking head for certain niches I think both are fine here's my thoughts thoughts Brian is the viewer getting value Are
you delivering value Are you delivering the result you promised in the title if you do that faceless and the viewer satisfied you'll win if you do that with satisfied you'll win I'm not trying to overly simplify but both are really
powerful formats invest in mastering the format faceless comes with maybe some challenges have a good voiceover maybe have captions on screen have the script have the b-roll how are you going to put the content together faceless could have
advantages in that case because maybe it requires more video editing and more changing of the camera angle and so on and so forth if you want to deliver camera talking head and you're brief be bright be fun and be done and you get
bright be fun and be done and you get results then both are winning so so it's not like one or the other is like the strategy it's pick your strategy and then level up your skills Master the strategy Steve how many videos should I
have in the can before I release them once or twice a week Steve it's kind of once or twice a week Steve it's kind of an old school mindset to think about needing to get like 10 episodes for the TV show so you can release every one for
for the next 10 weeks podcasting this is also kind of relevant sometimes people when they launch a podcast on the audio platforms want to do multiple episodes in a day or five days in a row to launch the podcast
to compound as many downloads as possible so you rank on iTunes YouTube is different than all of that YouTube each video is judged by its own merits and so I actually am a big fan of getting the videos to the algorithm as
getting the videos to the algorithm as soon as possible now to be fair if you strategically release a series and they start to growth hack each other rather than just like 10 videos there might be something about having your one two
three four five plan but that'd be much more strategic it's not just like 10 series you start with or something and they all link to each other kind of in they all link to each other kind of in the end card um but having a bunch of
videos in the C like the idea of saying so that the audience knows I'm consistent YouTube isn't as linear as most people think um and so I think that I um so the audience knows you're consistent is somewhat of a myth like
yes you'll get subscribers yes you'll start developing audience but let a growing your audience like one breakout video will get you the subscribers we'll get you the views and then follow up with more content if you're simply
asking about how do I um keep the momentum going I think think it is wise to have a buffer and batch producing content getting ahead is wise but don't necessarily overthink releasing on YouTube put out the best
releasing on YouTube put out the best videos possible on YouTube um and let one's going to work so the sooner you have 10 uploads the sooner two of them start to get views every week month and even years to come if you follow a
system and and really learn how to rank videos that's why I I want as many out there as possible the more lures I have in the ocean fishing like one time I saw a guy on the muleo fa ferry in the Pacific Northwest I was on like a date
day with my mom and we were waiting for the fery and we saw this guy on the dock chilling in a chair and he had 10 fishing poles along the rail like I been okay with this and he had 10 fishing poles not just one and they were
all over the edge hanging in the water I was like dude that's super smart because he's increasing the likelihood that he's going to catch a fish fish the sooner you upload 10 videos to YouTube optimized as best as possible positioned
as best as possible the sooner that two of them catch a fish and not to like demean really valuable people that are watching your content but just the idea in then views start coming in and then
you adapt your content as you see your audience evolve smash like if you're getting value on this uh training today as a reminder if you're just jumping on we went through a three-part training on topics titles and then thumbnails I
created a real-time thumbnail in three minutes it's a must-see if you're just here live uh are you guys doing quick Channel reviews um jodo Arts were not I do appreciate the two super chats today um I actually need to go grab my baby I
just jumping in for a Saturday stream for yall so I really appreciate you cap cut and canva uh that doesn't have I mean for sure cap cut has a lot of features that canva doesn't have now I can't say I'm
an expert can canva edit video I know it can do some video editing it can do some light video editing it can do some animated like Instagram real type content and you can kind of force editing on it but that is a that is a
good on two punch cap cut for editing videos especially mobile canva for thumbnails any other design maybe Graphics you want to use on your community tab cover image on your YouTube channel so a roll call to
everything we talked about there is some great resources in the description um thank you everyone for the super chats um I am going to go get John step um my one-year-old son and your next move is
you've been getting value it's a learn and level up weekend we have a almost seven hours of free deep dive YouTube training very tactical and normally this is the kind of content we teach inside of our paid course called video ranking
Academy but we're making making these seven hours available totally for free at tube 1K challenge.com so take advantage of that all weekend long because it is limited replays and then smash like and uh subscribe if you're
new here my name is Sean canel rhymes with YouTube channel thanks for being a sending you love and respect today hope you have a great weekend a great month
