## Summary

This video features a conversation between YouTube product lead Amjad Hanife and veteran creator Andrew Edwards, discussing a suite of new YouTube features including A/B testing for titles, collaborations, AI-powered tools like Ask Studio and Inspiration tab, dynamic brand deals, and expressive auto-dubbing. The discussion highlights how these updates aim to empower creators with more control, insights, and global reach.

### Key Points

- **Title A/B Testing Announced** [02:15] — YouTube is adding A/B testing for titles, allowing creators to test combinations of thumbnails and titles to optimize performance. Over 15 million thumbnail tests have been run so far.
- **Best Practice: Test Extremes** [03:31] — Amjad advises creators to test extreme differences in thumbnails or titles rather than subtle changes, as viewers are less likely to notice minor variations.
- **Statistical Significance for Tests** [04:12] — The system informs creators when results are statistically significant; if no winner is determined after enough impressions, it clearly states that there is no significant winner.
- **Collabs Feature Details** [06:16] — The new collabs feature allows up to five creators to collaborate on one video, with the video appearing on the host's channel and a shelf on collaborators' home tabs. Cross-recommendation expands reach.
- **Collab Revenue Management** [07:49] — The originator (host) receives all revenue; revenue splitting has not been implemented yet but is a requested feature.
- **Retroactive Collaboration Possible** [08:46] — Creators can retroactively add collaborators to older videos, potentially giving new life to archived content.
- **Ask Studio AI Feature** [11:07] — Ask Studio allows creators to ask natural language questions about their analytics, audience, and video performance, providing insights without needing to interpret raw data.
- **Updates to Inspiration Tab** [13:29] — The Inspiration tab now uses AI to suggest video ideas tailored to a creator's audience, explaining why each idea would resonate, and can outline a series of related videos.
- **Dynamic Brand Segments** [19:05] — YouTube is developing dynamic brand segments that allow creators to replace or remove burned-in brand deals after a set period or number of views, enabling evergreen content to be monetized repeatedly.
- **Expressive Auto-Dubbing Launch** [22:30] — Auto-dubbing now includes lip reanimation to match the dubbed audio, making it appear as if the creator speaks the target language. Available to all YPP creators in up to 20 languages.
- **Creator Wish List: Long-Form AI Tools** [27:22] — Andrew requests that AI features like background music generation and 8-second clip creation be made available for long-form video creators, not just Shorts.
- **Future Vision for YouTube Studio** [33:28] — Amjad states the mission is to give creators tools to expand reach and find audience, with continued investment in AI features like a potential 'health score' and coaching modes.

### Conclusion

YouTube is continuously adding creator-focused features that leverage AI to simplify analytics, improve collaboration, and expand global reach, while also addressing monetization flexibility. The platform remains unique in its dedication to serving the needs of content creators.

liaison, and I am here with Andrew Edwards, one of the OGest of OG tech creators. If you will go back in time and look at his original videos, you were doing three camera shoots before those were even popular. 14th person in
the YouTube partner program, and still to this day, you are testing out and reviewing the latest gadgets all over the world. Huge respect to you. >> Appreciate it. We're joined also by Amja Hanife who runs creator product at
YouTube. That is everything creators get to see from YouTube studio to YouTube analytics. All the latest products that make creators happy which allows you. >> Great. Great to be with you.
>> So we are going to talk about everything that is new for creators this year. Andrew, you had an opportunity to look at some of it and you had an interesting >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, you kind of gave me a behind thescenes, a quick
preview, which I appreciated, of the announcements that were coming. And at the end, what I said to you was, "This really feels almost like an operating system update. It feels like uh a major software update like you would see from,
you know, Android or Apple on an annual basis, but for YouTube in particular, different things you were throwing at me, I think last year there was, you handful of other things, but this year it really feels like it's over the top.
>> Yeah. Is that Do you think about like when you're planning your year, do you >> a year at a time or are you just trying to get to the end of the week? >> I mean, we we probably plan a little bit in like year chunks, but then there's
lots of stuff that happens in quarterly chunks. I mean the the OS comment is an interesting one because actually what's changed a lot over the last few years is that you know it went from a single format watching on your desktop to now
those businesses are across multiple formats and for some creators they're reaching most of their audience on TV >> uh in the living room and it's not just mobile and it's not just desktop and so with all that diversity we've got a lot
support creators. >> Yeah. So this year I want to leap right in. One of the features that we had a lot of feedback on was thumbnail AB that and immediately people were like, "Thanks. Where's title AB testing?"
[laughter] >> Yeah, it was uh very wellreceived. Um we talked about it a lot. Um creators have been using it. I think to date maybe 15 million thumbnail tests and so we're excited now to be able to add titles
into the mix and you can do a combination of thumbnails. uh you can do it and do title and thumbnail combinations. And so we think that'll save creators even more time as they perfect the perfect package.
>> How do you walk people through using something like that? So obviously I'm I'm one of the guilty ones who was like, "Okay, thumbnail, give me title testing now." And then I got access to it and then I was like, "Okay, wait a minute. I
can I can test thumbnails like normal. I can test titles which is similar to >> Yeah. So you could choose, for example, all the same thumbnails with different different thumbnails, or you could pair like one title with one thumbnail, one
>> right? And so at that point it was like, wait a minute, now I don't know which one to do, like which what is the best way to use these features. How do you kind of balance kind of delivering the features people are asking for
alongside here it is, and now they're like, "Oh, what I was asking for cuz now I don't know what to do." >> Yeah. Well, look, um maybe the way to start is you don't have to test.
>> Um I would always hear from creators that they spend 6 hours, 8 hours. they're trying to think through and decide which the right one is. And so you're spending that time. Um the testing feature allows you to save some
decide. But the best advice I've had for creators is if you're going to test, test extremes like differences. I I think early on folks would try subtle changes. your audience is not really going to pick up on those subtleties,
changes, you might see one resonate better. And like that's a good reason to use thumbnail testing or title testing. Uh, but I don't think you have to do it >> I think one thing that confused people was statistical significance. Statistics
and averages for me are the worst. I totally misunderstand them every time. But it's like if you flip a coin and you get heads seven times, it doesn't mean heads wins because you could flip it 20 times and get tails 13 times. So this is
a subject like if you keep flipping it you will get to the right answer which is 50. And I think this is similar where once you get enough impressions if you can't determine a winner you tell us plainly like there was no statistical
watch time for that winner. >> Yeah exactly. It um often times it's not unusual for there to be no winner based on your audience because if the differences aren't material it's not really going to change user behavior.
Um, the other thing we've also seen is that, you know, for the first few weeks and now that new folks are discovering your video, there might be a different one that wins. And so it's it's not really a perfect science. Um, but I
trying to figure out the right one, I would use the testing feature to kind of >> Yeah. And I think also like your early audience probably loves you the best and >> What I've seen is like creatively some people will test like B and C plots. So,
they'll think like, "Oh, I've got as many views as I have off the adventure aspect of this video. Let me test the comedic aspect or the romance aspect." And they'll get like a bunch more views and then they'll go on to So, it's it's
it's like which one is hitting the specific audience, >> Okay. Wow. The next thing that people are really excited about, really excited about and this hearkens me back. Anjad and I were at a creator summit in India
and some of the feedback we got was that they really loved the idea of collabs and all credit to you and your team. You have gotten this to market so fast. features that we've been talking about today, they all start from creator ask
either a creator request at a collective or at a meeting like we had in India and collabs was one where loud and clear how can we build out a way to do collabs what was interesting Rene was >> a lot of the ask came from the larger
creators. They wanted a way to uplift smaller creators and share them with a broader audience. And so we sprinted and here you have it, collabs. long time on YouTube, but it's nice to have a like a structure for them.
>> Yeah. Yeah. How how would you So how does this work? You collab with someone, multiple people. >> Up to five. Okay. Up to five. >> Let's say I collab with four others and we've each accepted the collab. Does
we've each accepted the collab. Does that now count as one video on YouTube or is that like five different potentially discoverable potentially discoverable videos as far as how it's seen on the
platform? >> I would think of it as one video. It has one set of metrics and views and all the collaborators can see those views and performance numbers inside studio. Um, our discovering recommendation systems
though understand all those different audiences and will recommend it to the other collaborators audiences. So there's that's where the twist is and so if you are following one of the collaborators, this video will get
the beauty of the collaboration is that you get cross-remended to other reach. >> Yeah, I love that. I know some people are worried also like on the video tab, right? It goes on the video tab of the
host and there's a shelf that collaborators can put on their home tab collaborations. >> Okay. So, there's a host and then Not everybody's treated equally. >> You have the person who starts the
>> And also, we're not going to spam your notifications right now with all the >> Uh, what about for revenue? Is it the the host is tied to their revenue or is >> That's a good question. Can you go in and say this guy only did 10% of the
[laughter] >> I mean, that's exactly what we heard it. So, right now, the way it works is the originator, the owner who started the revenue. Creators have asked for, "Well, is there a way to split?" And
well, it's not even because sometimes it's 9010 or >> um" and so we haven't gone through the the work to build all that out. >> Okay. One one more question. Yeah, I I mean I can go all day with this stuff,
>> Um, can you retroactively do a collab? Like like you said, collabs have been a >> for almost two decades, right? So, what if I want to go back and add collaborators to older videos? Is that possible or is it only for new videos
>> So, it's possible. You can go back to your archives and you got quite a bit of collaborators. Um, and maybe there's an opportunity to give some new energy to >> I love that. waiting for my 2008 collab. [laughter]
think also the other aspect it something that you do very well is brand deals and to be able to collaborate with the brand could give you other ways of of growing >> I see I wonder how the audience would react to something like that though if
react to something like that though if they see like my face with name whatever brand on the same if that would be a turn off. I mean, I know the brand would love it, but would would you know, when I the brand for me is like a partner,
brand. I make my videos for the audience. And so, it would give me pause audience. And so, it would give me pause at least to to collab with a brand until like I might want to see someone else do it first and see how we see.
of their ecosystem already. >> Yeah. >> Okay. It's a pretty well understood um and we're going to get into another feature we have there around uh links >> um as well for the brands. It's a pretty
world. >> Okay. each creator has to choose what makes sense for their audience. >> Um and I think for some it may not make sense and for some it may be a great way
>> Yeah. And I love that. That's one of the things I like most about it is like some people just don't like ads. They do full fan funding. Some people do full brand rolls. Some people want a lot of mid rolls. And it feels like it's about
>> Yeah. I mean that when you think about what we build into studio and um and the programs that we run, they really are reflective that a creator today has diverse businesses either shopping focused um your focus on a certain
vertical. And so we aim to create the the choices for you to be able to take to. It's sort of not one sizefits-all anymore. am not a numbers person, Amjad. I think you figured that out about me. I know
files, pivot table. >> I've seen lots of them. >> Yeah, I am not that person. But Ask Studio is another feature where it just pops up and I can go in and say like, tell me about my last video. And my
understanding is it understands your channel, your commenters, but within the context of YouTube. >> Yeah. Um, you've had a chance to use it, right? It's pretty amazing. >> Um, it's another request going back to
asked for a long time. How do I understand what's in analytics? Can you explain to me what the community is saying? Can you explain to me how the numbers are trending? Well, now you can go to Ask Studio and ask that question
understands your audience and it's able to give you an answer based on all of those elements. Um, there's no other way to do this today. And so if you've got a it's performing, what the audience is saying, how it compares to the last two
you a pretty decent answer to get you >> Yeah, I love that. >> I've I've tried it, too. I'm in the beta. I'm not just looking for a here's my question, here's a direct answer, and
then like end of conversation. Whereas in Gemini, it's like inviting back and forth conversation and kind of it'll even ask me like, you know, does that this? And it's like, oh yeah, I didn't even think of that. Please do.
>> You want like a coaching mode? >> Yes. And less of a, hey, how's my last this. >> Okay. I mean, that's good. That's it's not a complaint, but I would like more. >> Andrew, sit down, please. We have to
>> Help me. Help me figure out, especially as AI, help me figure out the things that I'm not even asking that you that you know that I don't even know to ask. >> So, be patient. you you're going to have to take a look at the next rev of this.
Um we've started out by just getting those answers and that are those are really important for folks that don't understand how to read the charts or not so versed in the CSV files and putting them into Excel or or Google Docs.
them into Excel or or Google Docs. >> Um and you know the comparison to your past history is also something you can't really do with Gemini or other other products. And so it's all in there in our studio. We're working on now the
coach somebody through it and give them advice. >> Um, you know, the holy grail might be like your content strategist. >> We're not quite there yet. Um, but we're definitely on that path of being able to
be, you know, that right-hand person for a creator. >> I think you, if you look at Ask Studio, sort of like this is everything that was on your channel. Inspiration tab becomes everything that could be on your
updates there as well. Yeah, the inspiration tab is, you know, if you're going to go and brainstorm new ideas, the inspiration tab is where you go to do that. And we've really updated that now with re giving you a sense of why
this idea resonates with your audience. >> Um, and keep in mind like it's not meant to replace your own brainstorming effort. It's meant to be a thought starter or when you're in the mode where you're trying to create a backlog, it'll
give you some ideas. It will explain to you why we think those will resonate of a series so that if you want to invest in this idea, here's like three or four videos that all relate to this topic. And of course, these are all
in as well. They're just not sort of generic topics. >> How individualized is this? So, for example, um cooking creator, whatever creator I might be,
might be, is it going to be giving me ideas based on my specific channel or is it like five of my friends might see the same might end up making the same content based on what we're seeing in there?
audience, >> okay? and creators that are similar to >> and the things that those audiences are interested in. And so it's not going to recommend a Disney, you know, walk, you know, live vlog around some the new
to recommend stuff that your audience is interested in. things that are also adjacent to your audience if you're thinking about expanding your reach. Um, and but it won't go far outside of your core
something that you're going to invest in. What I like about it too is that not everyone always has access to like a mind like a mastermind group or always I can ask Andrew about my idea for my video. Maybe he's not around. Maybe like
and this just gives me the ability to jam. And sometimes like content block is real. Like sometimes you don't know what to do next or you don't know the angle and this will give you ideas and even if no one of those ideas is perfect always
I get a spark like of what I could potentially do. And we see that creators their backlog. And so they may have seven or eight ideas they've generated with inspiration and then for that time when the content schedule is looking a
can start on. >> Yeah. And the other thing is I think series are under like are overlooked, but if you get someone who watches one video and they immediately have another video that they would love just as much,
like it's the big picture or the deep dive or like the next adjacent thing and they're watching two videos and then three videos and it can be hard to plan those three four ideas, you can start to develop those series which really I
you. >> So at studio is the AI feature you would use to learn about what you've already done it sounds like. And inspiration is
the AI feature that can kind of help you figure out what to do next. >> Is that a good way to look at these two things? Yeah, you know, inspiration is really is all the whole space is dedicated to ideiation, brainstorming,
script examples, outlines. Um, and so that's more of a full canvas to like come up with your next set of content. How do you avoid or maybe you don't want this. Um, the AI competing with itself. In other
words, I want to improve my channel. I want to make the best videos I can. Um, to make the best videos they can for their audience and hope that their videos are better than other videos on the platform. Um, especially in a
the platform. Um, especially in a specific topic. If using inspiration, specific topic. If using inspiration, how does how do you avoid the same feature >> where the feature is trying to make the
best video for each person? Does it start competing with itself or is it really just siloed into we're just looking at your channel and not really does it consider the whole platform or does it just consider
platform but then it hones in on your audience because for the content to work with your audience. >> We could always we could have done this for the last 15 years suggested the top 10 trends and like these things are
going to are top of everyone's list. Um, but that is never a way to build a lasting business. And so inspiration doesn't recommend the most popular thing that's going to resonate with your audience. And as a creator, you've got
to sift through that and really decide where do you want to invest. Um, because trends, you know, and that's been, you know, strategy folks have followed at times. And that's not a way to build a lasting business on the platform. I
think also one of the focuses that at least I've heard you talk about is like the creator is always in the loop and for example like after the pixel event you know like your your category of creators are going to make pixel reviews
but each one is very different and I think still like if you draw inspiration your like your creator sensibilities your take your taste your style >> still informs massively >> and that's what your audience is looking
>> and that's what your audience is looking for it's that take on the pixel event. Um, and so we don't worry so much about that. I mean, we've designed it in a way that it's really focused on your audience. Um, and it's we're excited to
>> One of the other things that we've we're working on is the brand deals in general. Brand Connect is a big part of of of your work. Uh, one of the things that is interesting creators a lot is dynamic uh brand segments. So, uh, right
[clears throat] unless you cut it out with Studio Tools, there forever. Correct. >> But we're looking at a world now, and I asking you [clears throat] for this feature. Creators have been asking for a
way to maybe not make that so burned in. >> Yeah. Um, it's come up quite a bit and so the team's working on it and we're exploring a way to give creators the option to keep it in for maybe a certain number of views or a certain number of
days and then be able to take it out easily or to replace it with a different brand deal. And so if you've got content that is evergreen, you can imagine repurposing that slot for different brands over the course of the video. And
we hopefully it'll allow creators to increase their yield on those videos. So excitement from the announcement. Yeah. >> Um maybe you'll get to try it out. That's a really natural thing. Okay. see that that like you said like that gives
creators I think >> more options for their businesses because like you said evergreen I have video I've been making YouTube videos for about 20 years right and in the beginning um actually let's use let's
use Marquez Brownley MKBHD because every now and then for some reason the algorithm will start recommending >> the first video he made that too years >> it's because you click that's why I get [laughter] No,
[laughter] No, >> but at the time, right, he was so small that video. But maybe maybe he got a,000 bucks for it back then. But since then, right, if you taking taking aside the the massive amount of uh AdSense that is
that is generating that if that brand deal was still there, that brand is getting a a tremendous [laughter] a tremendous amount of >> Yes. >> with this new feature, he could just
dynamically, I assume, just specify points almost like you're choosing the >> And then, okay, here's where I want to put this. And then what? You just record >> that sounds incredible. >> It sounds incredible. Um I've heard that
story from many creators where they they sold it at one price and now they've grown so much and they >> if they could just repurpose that >> um that they sold for a thousand or two bucks, 2,000 bucks. Um and so we we
about how often you can do that, but that's part of what what the team is value. >> Yeah, that's really cool. Yeah, I was creator event and like the they have the slot, it's like talking about that event
talking about how to get the replay, but then after the replay is no longer that had your own line of cases or phone cases or your own line of coffee or whatever it was. It goes back to like a house product and then that you just can
just like burned inventory for you. I mean, you'll see a theme from a lot of the team is >> we'd love to create things for creators that add value to their business without a lot of new work.
that. I'm sure we'll talk about that in it's the same content you're shooting and you may shoot another new segment, but it unlocks all a whole new trunch of value for you as a creator without
having to do a lot of work. >> Yeah. Let's let's get into autodubbing because this is like whether it's multil- language audio which is now or autodubbing which is available to everyone in the YouTube partner program
now expressive autodubbing with lip reanimation. It just feels like we're inching closer to universal translators because now you know I I think we're at 11 I I forget the exact number 11 13
>> uh yeah depending on which direction it's up to across 20 languages not going to duplicate any creators voices but like it'll sound like the the emotional content and lip lip reanimation like
>> Yeah. I mean, I was happy, you know, a long time ago with just subtitles and "Oh, this is actually pretty good. I can watch a whole movie in a dubbing." And now when you see the lip animation and you see it feel natural, like it makes
it feel like it was made for you in your native language. And back to what I said earlier, like for a creator now who was locked out of the English market because locked out of the English market because they couldn't uh afford uh to do, you
know, uh translations, they now have an opportunity to expand their reach across languages, whether it's English or in any of the other languages we support. from some creators that their English market is like 80%. Like they just don't
even reach those people. And now you like you could be like David Hasselhoff and huge in Germany, [laughter] >> right? I mean that that is really cool. So I assume before you make these features like you hear requests
>> you do test. I've been a part of tests in the background. So you're testing to see how these things work. What have you guys found as it pertains to lip reanimation? Like if you're launching it, my assumption is that it's not
something you've seen the audience have like a negative reaction to. For almost everything we test, we make sure we understand uh the impact it has on viewers. And I'd say anecdotally, viewers appreciate uh lip reanimation
more than they appreciated just plain old dubbing more than they appreciated really if you're someone who's >> wanted access to that content but have been locked out because of language, it opens up a new opportunity. Um and so
yeah, viewers have been broadly appreciative of it. I think that as a creator, you may always want to think about the voice and the sound. And I considerations that a creator has >> and that's why we give them the choice.
>> Yeah. The autodubbing I think for people who can't afford or don't have like videos and it like you said, it removes a cognitive load. Like if it's subtitles watching, it's not as immersive and when the lips aren't aren't synced, it's not
like again it feels like a layer of abstraction. But this like because you for the the translation >> allowed back in the day. those audiences. >> So you mentioned like if you can't
afford it, but it almost sounds like even if you can afford it, it makes more sense to use the built-in tool that YouTube's putting out there, especially it's going to look so much better. >> It'll look amazing. And I think it's two
clicks. It might be three clicks. It's in terms of effort, it's right there in course, you can always preview the language um and make your own decisions, but yeah, I think for most creators, it's a great way to expand their reach
into new audiences. >> So, how does a creator if you had to give them advice, smartly take advantage of this? Let's say, so take advantage of this? Let's say, so they have access to dubbing, expressive
>> Yeah. Um, they have access to the translated titles and descriptions. So, >> we have a pilot for multi- language >> got that check mark. >> And I assume it'll every language that
your dubbing is available in will also you'll be able to have a thumbnail associated. Okay, that's really cool. Um, that was like going through and just >> this is great. Uh it do you just recommend they just jump in like okay
just enable turn on and we're good to go or is it more nuanced than that? >> It it's a little more nuanced. I think with any creator feature as you're if your way into it. That's the way we
>> Sometimes they make sense for your audience, sometimes they don't. You audience, sometimes they don't. You know, when it comes to dubbing, the dubbing is amazing, but if you have a piece of content that relies heavily on
the narrative, the storytelling, and like the inonation, you know, we're it doesn't sound the way you want it to. And so, I think that's something where you have to test to make sure you understand um how it's being conveyed in
this other language. It will continue to get better as with everything we've seen uh that is based on AI the last couple years. But I think that's important for sense for their channel. >> Also, if you're like sending 67, you
>> 67. >> They tell me not to say it though actually cuz >> Um but like so there are some people for example who have like massively
different cultural aspects. Like we know we have some creative friends who their different content. Yeah. So it still makes sense for them to have their own culturally different videos. Some people like want to hire a famous anime person
to be their voice. So multi- language audio. I think the advice that we've audio. I think the advice that we've been giving is like sort by the videos getting you the most watch time still. And like start with like your top 20 or
your top 50 because a viewer journey is important. If you do one video, someone I want to see more of Andrew in sp. There's no more of Andrew in Spanish, enjoy those videos. So, even if you're like you want to test it out, like said,
journey. >> Okay. And similar question to uh the >> Okay. And similar question to uh the collabs, can I go back and say redo these I don't know 25 top performing videos of mine across the board in
and all that or is it just new videos going forward? fill on those. I think we've rolled that. And you can also choose on a video basis to have it in on off to let you check it before you publish it to remove
>> That's [clears throat] another thing is like you're doing a lot of backend stuff things. >> Yeah. Like uh the businesses that creators have built are so diverse and the content verticals are span the
gamut. And so a lot of what we do in studio is give creators a choice um to selective on a video level. And you'll see that across most of the features >> So So you're the creator, you're on the creator side,
>> Yeah. Do you have is there I assume there's another team that's on the viewer side. So when you want to push out a feature corporate >> this is like show me your order.
[laughter] >> If if I want to publish uh in German for example and I have viewers in Germany spec like some viewers in Germany who right is it is it going to be geographic where it's like you're in Germany you're
got to go back and click again to stop getting this every time. like making creator that then puts more of a burden on the viewer. Do you how do you think
>> We do like there's a lot of work to make in this world where every piece of content isn't available in 10 15 languages, there's a lot of work to make the viewer experience also very natural. And so if you have a language that you
appear by default there. And you'll have a choice to choose a different language. >> You can do that by default. And you know, Renee mentioned the thumbnails. default in this language. And so, we work really closely with the the team at
sure this stuff all lines up. >> Like, it works when it all lines up for both creators and viewers. >> Yeah. So, Andrew, we've been talking a lot about what is what we're announcing. What is [clears throat] sort of what is
are what is on your wish list? >> All right. I'm going to pick my phone up down. Okay. I got I got I got a list. Well, there was an email that said what Studio. So, I was like, let me just let me just go now. I I have been saying
match with dubbing. You already said, hey, we already got that. >> Um, okay. Here's one. We didn't talk about a lot of these features, but the sentiment that I've gotten the last two years and from what's going to be
whenever you guys see this, um, a lot of the coolest, newest features in my opinion seem to be gated to shorts creators specifically. So, a lot of the AI features and things like that is this is coming to shorts.
V3 coming to shorts. When will long- form creators be able to When will long- form creators be able to generate horizontal 8-second clips for example uh for their videos as opposed to just shorts creators?
>> Yeah. Um I can answer a little bit of that which I mean actually if you step today um I mean we have things across every format. So we talked a lot about dubbing. Dubbing is for shorts and it's
long form. the brand deals work shorts long form um we have a lot of long form um we have a lot of announcements around live um a lot of so when we think about the features we build as studio is another example
content >> shorts are like we just own the camera app so it's an easy place to start with these but you were at Google IO and you what VO can do there and we have YouTube create which I know you were also an
things that can go going to YouTube create. Uh, so I think it's one of those things where we only have one job, so he can't do everything all at once, but he can test things and develop things and then they is that fair at all? They can
>> Yeah, they can roll out over time. Or we can figure out a clone job, but we >> Yeah, even something as simple as like uh I want to make a background track, >> right? The background track I can I can create one using Genai for shorts, but I
long, just as an example. >> I think we have that one coming up. uh >> Um >> so we will have to chat afterwards back.
I also think like just not to get too deep into this but there's like um long on desktop have very different workflows. Like a shorts creator will often their entire workflow will be in the YouTube app where you're probably
roundt tripping it between a bunch of apps and that's a like a like a more complicated creation flow. So those tools might I won't speak for AMJ but as well. Amjad as you think about the future and I know we can never do
is your vision for like the next couple years of of studio and analytics? >> I mean if you step back from the things we talked about all the announcements from today um and you think about our mission like we opened up a way to
connect creators with billions of viewers across the globe and there before YouTube came around there was no other way to do it. And so at the creative product team, like our mission is really to give creators the tools
that can continue to expand their reach and find their audience. And so everything we've announced today is is in line with that mission. I think AI dramatically for creators over the next few years. And so a lot of our
announcements are new AI tools and we're going to continue to invest there. Um, figure out some of these other things like maybe there's a health score. I mean, anything that helps a creator put their energy into the creativity and the
passion and their audience is a win for us. And so, that's what we invest in. >> Yeah. You know why I I made this list? Because I feel like I can present it. >> Like, I'm a creator. I'm a content creator, right? I create on YouTube, but
there's also Instagram. There's Tik Tok. There's all sorts of other platforms. There's no other platform out there in the world anywhere that even comes close the world anywhere that even comes close to caring about what the creator side
needs. They all care about what the viewer or the subscriber or the follower cares about, but when it comes to actual content creators, it there's YouTube and there's everybody else. So, I really want to tell you how much from all
for us. >> That's great. And hopefully a year from launches to talk about. >> Another OS up. Andrew. >> Absolutely.
