[00:00] What's up everybody, Damon here and in today's gaming news, PS5 is getting a couple GTA 6 controllers, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation gets a release date, and we know when Crimson Desert's first big expansion will arrive. This is your Daily Fix. Rockstar Games and PlayStation have revealed a pair of GTA 6 themed PS5 controllers.
[00:26] One will come in white, the other in black, but both feature the same core design. The 6 logo engraved on the touchpad with palm tree etchings around the controller grips. The Grand Theft Auto logo is also etched into the back of the controllers, which are rounded
[00:38] out with a sleek neon purple trim around the bottom half. Pre-orders will open through PlayStation Direct on September 10th, but fans won't be able to get their hands on them until the game's release on November 19th. The controllers will set you back a whopping $85, and you should probably anticipate them
[00:51] selling out quickly given the rapid demand for the game. The news comes as GTA 6's marketing begins to really ramp up. Last week, Rockstar debuted the first gameplay and invited select media, including IGN, to participate in previews.
[01:04] PlayStation has also been boasting that GTA 6 will play best on PS5 and the game will have unique exclusive features on the console. The game will take advantage of the DualSense controller's speaker, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and the console's Tempest 3D audio tech.
[01:18] Moving on, Square Enix has announced a release date for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, concluding its acclaimed remake trilogy. The third and final chapter in its Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga will arrive on April 8th, 2027.
[01:30] This time around it will arrive simultaneously on PS5 Xbox PC and Nintendo Switch 2 Following that two expansions will also be released over the following year Story DLC 1 Sephiroth and Story DLC 2 Vincent and the Turks are mentioned as part of a story
[01:44] expansion pass that's now visible on Steam. No pricing is available yet for this pass, and no further details on the story content of these expansions is mentioned, though this confirms that suggested further chapters are on the way, something fans have expected since the pass previously leaked via the Epic Games
[02:00] Interestingly, April 8th puts it one day after the release of Exodus, another big RPG, although if one of these games were to blink, you know it won't be Final Fantasy. And finally, Crimson Desert's first expansion arrives in October, and it's going to have
[02:13] a ton of game-changing content, including underwater gameplay. During today's PlayStation State of Play, Pearl Abyss announced Crimson Desert Chartering the Unknown, a brand new expansion for one of 2026's breakout titles.
[02:25] The DLC will launch on October 15th and adds city-building mechanics, underwater exploration, a ship that players can captain and much more. It takes place after the main story, so players should probably go back and finish the game if they haven't already to prepare.
[02:38] As of right now, we're not sure how much the expansion will cost, but it won't be free. Those who pre-order will get a deep-sea diver outfit as a bonus. Along with all the other games coming out in September and October, Pearl Abyss is ensuring you'll have something else to sink dozens of hours into.
[02:51] Crimson Desert was just enhanced last week and upgraded to version 2.0, so it's a pleasant surprise that the expansion is already coming so soon.
