## Summary

This video, sponsored by Ace Trader, presents a tutorial on practicing perpetual futures (perps) trading risk-free using a prop trading platform. CryptoGorilla explains the platform's features, how to place leveraged trades, the requirements to get funded with up to $24,000, and an upcoming $1 million trading competition.

### Key Points

- **Problem: Liquidation Risks** [00:01] — Many people rush into perps without learning and get liquidated. Advocates a safer way to practice trading without risking personal capital.
- **Ace Trader Prop Firm** [00:28] — Ace Trader is a prop trading firm that lets traders prove their skills and potentially get up to $24,000 to trade with their money.
- **Backed by Memeland/9GAG** [01:06] — Ace Trader is by Memeland, the web3 arm of 9GAG, described as a reputable company with a public founder.
- **Monthly Membership** [01:18] — The platform is not free; users pay a monthly fee to access paper trading and funded accounts.
- **Starting Process** [01:32] — Use a referral link for a 10% discount, then connect any web3 wallet. There is also a free trial of up to 21 days.
- **Leverage and Coins** [02:03] — Platform works like other perp exchanges. Bitcoin allows up to 40x leverage, while other coins may offer 20x or 10x.
- **Leverage Explained** [02:33] — With $1,000 at 40x leverage, you trade with a $40,000 position. A 2x move in Bitcoin yields $40,000 profit instead of $1,000.
- **Liquidation Risk** [03:01] — Leverage brings a liquidation price. In the example, Bitcoin at $95k had a liquidation price at $92,820, risking losing the entire $1,000.
- **Order Types and Direction** [03:40] — Choose between limit and market orders, then decide long (expect price up) or short (expect price down).
- **Position Sizing** [04:08] — Using a $10,000 standard account, a 10% position at 5x leverage trades $5,000; lower leverage pushes liquidation price further away.
- **Take Profit and Stop-Loss** [04:37] — Strongly recommends turning on take profit (auto exit at target price) and stop-loss (exit at a loss cap) to manage risk.
- **Risk Management Example** [05:05] — A stop-loss at a 5-10-15% loss might lose $100 instead of the full $1,000 if the trade goes against you.
- **Placing a Market Order** [05:44] — After confirming, the platform fetches the price, first trade opens, and the position appears in the P&L section.
- **Editing TP/SL** [06:11] — Take profit and stop-loss levels can be deleted or recreated under the TPSL menu.
- **Closing a Position** [06:24] — To close, click close, choose the percentage (e.g., 100%), confirm, and accept the result.
- **Paper Trading Value** [06:53] — All trading is paper trading, so even losses teach lessons without losing real money.
- **Funding Metrics** [07:05] — To get funded, three metrics must be met: a profit target, consistency (no single-day bulk), and a minimum number of trading days.
- **Memberships** [07:29] — Three monthly plans: Starter, Standard ($99/month), and Pro. Standard gives a $10,000 paper fund; paying with Memecoin adds a bonus.
- **Profit Goal** [07:44] — For Standard, the goal is $3,000 in profits, turning the $10,000 account into $13,000.
- **Minimum Trading Days** [08:00] — You must trade at least 5 different days, and trades must be closed to count.
- **50% Consistency Rule** [08:13] — Your best day's profit must be 50% or less of total profits; one lucky day disqualifies you.
- **Consistency Example** [08:42] — If best day is $2,500, you need $5,000 total profit for the rule to be satisfied.
- **Real Fund Qualification** [09:07] — After reaching goals, have a call with the team; if approved, you get a real funded account up to $24,000.
- **Conditions for Real Fund** [09:21] — Requires 5 profitable days (3 if paying with Memecoin), minimum $100 profit, and an 80/20 profit split (90/10 with Memecoin).
- **Million Dollar Competition** [10:02] — A competition starts January 19th, open to anyone, with a $1,000,000 trading fund as the prize.
- **Tuition Cost Mindset** [10:29] — The monthly fee is viewed as the cost of tuition, paying $99 to learn tough lessons instead of losing thousands.

per without putting your portfolio at risk. Because with all these speculation around perpex airdrops, a lot of people have rushed into pers without taking the time to properly learn and they've gotten liquidated in the process. But
what if I told you there's a much better way? A way to practice trading without the risk of losing your money. And once you get better at it, you can unlock a fund to trade with five figures of someone else's money while you keep a
majority of the profit. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another CryptoGorilla video. As usual, I am not a financial adviser. Special thanks to Ace Trader for partnering with me and making me one of their elite 20, which
milliondoll trade fund competition that anybody can join and win. We're going to cover all that and more. Hit subscribe and let's jump right into the video. So, you might have heard of prop trading firms. These are firms that give out
capital so you could trade with their money without putting your own at risk. And that's exactly what Ace Trader does. They allow anyone to prove their skills at trading. And if they qualify, they can get up to $24,000 to trade with.
Now, if you haven't heard of Ace Trader, it's by Memeland, which is the web 3 arm of NGAG, which is a reputable company with a long history and a public founder. So, let's first take a look at how the platform works. Then we're going
this is not a free platform. You do have to pay a monthly membership. Then we'll discuss how to get funded and we'll end with the milliondoll competition starting on January 19th. So getting started is really easy. You just use my
below. It will give you a 10% discount on that monthly fee. So why not use it? And then getting started is simple. You just need to connect a wallet, any web 3 whatever you feel like using. Then we land on the trading page. I already did
trial button here that you can click. It's going to give you up to 21 days. it unlocks your account. So, you don't You could test it out and see how it goes. So, if you've traded Pers before,
this works like any other per platform. On the top left, you can select different coins. They do have different levels of leverage. So, for example, Bitcoin allows you to go up to 40x, but some other coins would only go 20x,
maybe 10x, whatever the coin allows. And what leverage means is the amount you can leverage your money. So, let's say you have $1,000 in this platform and you want to trade at 40x leverage, you are taking on a high level of risk, but
you're able to trade with 40x your position size. So, if you have $1,000, position size. So, if you have $1,000, you're trading with $40,000. So, if I were to use a $1,000 position to buy spot Bitcoin and it were to 2x, I would
make $1,000 profit. But doing that with leverage trading at 40x, my position leverage trading at 40x, my position size being $40,000. My profit if Bitcoin goes up 2x is going to be $40,000. So, it allows you to stretch your money and
make a lot more profit. However, there is a risk attached to this and that is the risk of getting liquidated. Now, with spot Bitcoin, I own the Bitcoin. So, even if Bitcoin goes down to a dollar, as long as I don't sell, I
always have that Bitcoin. But with leverage trading, you have a liquidation price. As you can see, for the trade that I just put in this mock trade, if that I just put in this mock trade, if Bitcoin were to go down to $92,820,
it's currently above 95. So, if it goes down less than $3,000, I am going to get down less than $3,000, I am going to get liquidated and lose my $1,000 forever. So, that is the risk you are taking on in exchange to leverage your money and
trade with much more than you actually own. So, let's go ahead and place a have to decide is if you want to do a limit order or a market order. Limit means I want to set my order at a specific price and I don't want to buy
of the video, just to get it to go through. We are going to do a market order. Then you got to decide if you want to go long or short. Long means we means we think it's going to go down. After that, I would have to decide my
position size. Right now, I have the standard account. So, I have a $10,000 standard account. So, I have a $10,000 portfolio. So, if I do a 10% position at 40x, let's not do 40x. Let's lower it and be more responsible. Let's do a 5x.
Confirm. and now reduce that to 10%. So rather than trading with the thousand dollar, I am trading with 5,000. However, since that isn't as risky as a trade as going 40x leverage, my liquidation price has gone down. You can
liquidation price has gone down. You can see instead of 92,000, it is currently 76,000. So as long as Bitcoin stays above 76K, I am fine. I am not going to get liquidated. Now, I strongly suggest turning on takerit and a stop-loss. Take
profit is just going to automatically exit my position when it reaches a certain price. So for here, let's just say 96,000. It's going to tell you roughly how much you're going to make in profit. It's
know, it is what it is. And then I'm also going to set a stop-loss, which what this does is let's say, you know, I do some TA on the chart. I think, okay, Bitcoin's going to go up from here. If my levels are invalidated, if my thesis
is wrong and Bitcoin keeps going down rather than get liquidated, I'm gonna want to exit at a five, 10, 15% loss and just only lose $100 instead of $1,000.
So, here, let's just put uh 94,000. I'm not actually doing TA here. I'm just putting 94K. So, instead of losing a,000 bucks, I'm only going to lose 61. This is just a mock trade. Let's go ahead and put in that trade. Because we did
market, it's just going to fetch the price in the order book. And here we can see first trade opened. I'm going to close it because I have my position down here. So down here, it's going to tell me what positions I have open. I might
tokens that you could long or short. We can see directly on the chart my position with my P&L. Right now I am down uh almost a dollar. So we're down down uh almost a dollar. So we're down 0.1%. We also have my takerit level as
well as right here you can see my stop loss. It's very low. So odds are it won't hit but it can on October 10th, right? Everybody got liquidated. If I want to change those levels, I would do that right here under uh TPSL. So this
is where I can delete them or recreate them or whatever I want to do. And if I want to close my position, I can just click down here, close. So right now I'm at a slight loss. Maybe I think, oh, Bitcoin is going to go down. So, I want
to close it. So, here I would click on close. It asks you how much do you want the whole thing. Let's just go ahead and close 100%. I'm going to click confirm. took a small loss. Not the end of the world. Better than losing a,000 bucks.
And like we said, this is paper trading. So, even if I lost the,000 bucks, I'm not losing real money anyways. I'm just using this as a tool to learn. So, that's how you take a trade on Ace Trader. Now, let's talk about getting
funded. So, if we click on top, we're going to see there are three different metrics we have to hit in order to get funded. The first is to reach a certain level of profitability. The second is to be a consistent trader. So, all your
profits can't be in a single day. And the third is to trade a certain amount the membership you have. So, let's take a look at the different memberships. So, there's three different kinds. They're all monthly memberships, so they last 30
days. There's the starter, the standard, and the pro. Let's just go with the standard for this example. So, if I have the standard membership, it's $99 per month, and I'm going to get a $10,000 fund, a paper fund to trade with, unless
to get a slight bonus. You're going to get $12,000 instead of 10K. So, the one is hitting a certain profit goal. So, for standard, I'm going to need to hit $3,000 in profitability. So, my 10K account is
going to need to go to $13,000. The third, let's just jump ahead, is how many days you trade. The minimum is five different trading days. So, you need to actually close those trades for it to count. You can't just have a trade open
for a week and it counts as seven days. And then the other metric is going to be that 50% consistency rule, which what this means is we said I need $3,000 in profits. You can't have a single day that takes up a bulk of your profits.
The highest day you have needs to be 50% or less of your profits. So if I have a day, if I did 3K in profits, but I have one single day that's 2500, that's just a fluke. Like I just got lucky on a trade and I'm not a consistent
profitable trader. So that wouldn't qualify. And I need to keep trading qualify. And I need to keep trading until my best day is less than 50% of my total profit. So let's say I do have a day that's 2500. Now, I need to do
$5,000 in profit in order for it to qualify. Now, once you do reach this goal, you are going to have a call with the Ace Trader team. And if they decide cheating, somebody else isn't trading for you, you know what you're doing.
They are going to open up a fund with you with real money. So, they're going to give you a $10,000 fund or whatever uh package you were playing with up to $24,000 if you went with Pro and paid in Memecoin. And in order to get that
trader with your real fund, there's still some rules here. You're going to need to have five profitable days. So, five winning days. It goes down to three if you pay with meme. You are going to have to have a minimum of $100 in
profit. And then finally, there's the pay split. So, you get 80% of the profits. They take 20. Again, unless you pay with Memecoin, the official token of Memeland and Nine Gag, you get 90% and they keep 10. So, that's how this
definitely check out my referral link in the description down below to get that 10% discount. However, they also have a competition coming up where you could win a $1 million trading fund. Not a million dollars in your pocket, but a
trading with. So, the competition is open for anyone to join. It is going to start on January 19th. I'm going to be head-to-head against each other. Then there's going to be the showdown
followed by on February 6th to the 7th there's going to be the championship. So interested in getting better at perp trading. Like I said, it's a risk-free method outside of the monthly membership. The way I look at that, it's
just the cost of tuition, right? You're paying to learn, but you're paying a $9 paying to learn, but you're paying a $9 or $99 fee to learn very tough lessons instead of getting liquidated and losing hundreds or thousands of dollars. And I
speak from experience. So that's it for today's video. I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, be sure to give it a big thumbs up. If you did, I hope to see you in the beat me. Thank you for watching another Cryptogorilla video.
Peace. [Music]
