Now, we can use AI to do all of this, and I'm going to show you everything that you need to know step by step.
[01:02] The platform we use to build this, the API that we use, and I'm going to show you a website that's actually doing this right now, and I'm going to show you how they make their money. So let's get started. First of all, let's look at an example, and then I'll explain to you how it works and how we make money off that,
[01:19] and then I'll explain to you exactly what we need to do. So this is a website called Zillow.com or something like that. I think they tape count it. And what happens is people come to this specific website or app, you can do a mobile version,
[01:32] and they go and click on a hotel and they make a booking. And then what happens is when they make a booking, this person gets a commission. Now, I know exactly how much these guys are making on a monthly basis.
[01:45] And right now, if we write that down on here, this is what they are making per month. Okay? And they are making this, this is a commission. So they actually don't, like, this is a commission.
[01:58] So they get a percentage of the cost, meaning they don't really have to put in much work. All they really have to do is have this specific website up. So what happens is someone comes to this website and they book a hotel, okay?
[02:12] This is a hotel. We'll just put, like, someone knows here, whatever. They book a hotel on this website. What happens is when they book that hotel, so the money they spend goes to the hotel, okay?
[02:28] So the hotel takes a bit of that money. We'll do an arrow this way. So the hotel gets a bit of money. And then the hotel gives a little proportion of that money to you the person that owns that specific site I just showed you So that person gets this much per month at the moment
[02:48] on a monthly basis, and apparently it's growing. So how do we actually set all of this up? First of all, you want to go to a website called Lite API. What Lite API does, this is an amazing tool,
[03:01] it actually gives you everything you need to make this work. So it gives us the commission so we can track our commissions. So this API key, this one API key is set up.
[03:14] It's specifically designed for hotel sites. So, for example, it's got request level, hotel level, all of the stuff that you need here. So if we go back to home right here, this is an example website.
[03:29] Sorry, example dashboard. It's in the sandbox mode here. If we go down, what this will do is this will show you your growth over time. We can do this option or this option. So we can do like daily or whatever, or we can do the compounding over time.
[03:45] It'll show weekly volume, booking for a specific period. Now keep in mind, like I said, this is one API key that gives you everything you need. It gives you the commissions.
[03:58] It does all the hotel stuff, everything. It's specifically designed, if we go to their page here, it's specifically designed for travel apps, giving you access to this many properties worldwide.
[04:10] It gives you everything you need. So I probably should have showed you this first, this is a better example. And then it shows you the destinations that were booked that are making you the most money.
[04:22] The United States and Germany are probably always going to be the top because these are very high travel places. It gives you the top hotels, so you can prioritize these on your site.
[04:35] It gives you everything you need. So how do you actually get started to make something really, really simple like this? This is very simple to make, very easy to make. You can make this literally extremely fast.
[04:47] So I'll explain to you how this is it here. It looks really, really clean, really, really good. It gives you lots of options. Now keep in mind, the amount of options that you have on this is going to depend on the API key.
[04:59] So what happens is when you actually sign up to Lite API it going to take you through so you can go getting started and it will take you through a process of setting up your API key So you can make the first booking map rates to room semantic search hotels deep link You can do all sorts of stuff here and it going to take you through the process of setting this all up But the first thing we need to do is create all of this So you can use different types of apps to do this
[05:30] This AI app is called Base44, and you get some free credits that you can use. And this is probably one of the best app builders out there. So this is specifically turn your ideas into apps.
[05:42] This is an app development AI tool. Now, it can do literally anything. It's crazy. I've used this for many projects. Now, what I've done is I've already gone ahead and put in the prompt that I want to use.
[05:57] The reason why is that I want to use all my credits, okay, on a tutorial. But if we look here, I've said I want to create a simple, modern hotel booking site like Zillow.com, and we will be using Light API for this.
[06:10] I want it to be clean, simple, and easy to use. Now, please keep in mind this is a very basic prompt. The reason why I've made this very basic is because you want to start off basic. Because what's going to happen is it's going to create all this stuff, and then we can go ahead and we can actually alter it as we go.
[06:26] So we can tell this AI bot that we don't want it to look like this. We want to make it something else. We want to take this out from the bottom. We want to change the name, etc. But let's just click on this real quick, and we go to Popular Destinations.
[06:39] And it says here that these are some hotels right here. We can click on View Details. Now, these are placeholder stuff here. So it doesn't actually show this right now because we have to actually resolve this with the API.
[06:51] But if we go back here, you'll see that everything is really, really nice. So this is a really good starting point. All right. So now that you have the basics set up, you need to actually set up the API. Now, I'm not going to take you through doing all of that right now because I don't want to use all of my credits here
[07:07] because I only get a certain amount per month from my business. But if you go here, it says the site currently uses mock data for hotels and rooms to integrate with Lite API. You'll need to enable backend functions so we can call the API.
[07:20] So it says, would you like me to help set that up? So what you do is you say, yes, help me set that up. And it's going to take you through the process of setting up this Lite API and then integrating it into here.
[07:34] Once it's integrated, then what you can do is you can start customizing the website because it's going to have full functionality. So when you click on this, for example, it's going to show the specific hotels.
[07:47] And then when you click on the hotels, you're going to be able to book the hotels as well and do all of that if you want. That's going to work once you set up the Lite API. Now the reason why I not going to do the Lite API right now is because that a longer tutorial So if you do want to subscribe I will have something coming out for you on that but if you can go to ask light API and what it going to do is it
[08:11] going to give you a like an assistant that you can use you can go through and ask light API AI the assistant what to do and it's going to take you through step by step what you need to do and then you just kind of liaise with this
[08:28] AI and then liaise with this AI and you should be able to get everything set up ready to go. Now, basically you should be able to set up something and get it all functioning and get it really, really nice and get it to how you want it to look within a day or two, even
[08:46] shorter than that. The next thing you might be asking is how do I actually get traffic? There's a few ways. First of all, you can go ahead and you can do sponsored results. This is one of the most common ways. You can do sponsored results.
[08:59] The next way is you can use things like TikTok. You can use things like Instagram. And you can post free content on these platforms to get traffic to your link.
[09:15] I don't know specifically how this guy gets his traffic, but I do know there's a guy that has a similar site to this, and he gets a lot of his traffic from free traffic methods like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and things like that.
[09:30] All right, guys, I've showed you how to go ahead and create a simple app where you get a commission every time someone books a hotel through your app, and then you use Lite API to set everything up, and it's going to show you your commissions.
[09:45] It's going to show you everything, okay? So you can actually apply a markup, 6%, or you can update that and you can put in 10%. You can put in 15%, okay?
