[0:00] Today we're diving straight into the [0:01] world of Black Clover to break down all [0:04] levels of Asta's powers, going from [0:07] absolute zero all the way up to his most [0:10] absolute god tier form. In each one, [0:13] we'll go deep on his swords, anti-magic, [0:16] devil unions, transformations, and every [0:18] insane power-up he unlocked. Asta is so [0:21] powerful now that he can move thousands [0:24] of times faster than light, blow up [0:26] small planets, and has the strongest [0:28] defense in the history of Black Clover. [0:31] And because of this, everyone is [0:33] learning Asta is him. He's gone [0:36] head-to-head with multiple high-ranked [0:38] devils, has one of the drippiest [0:40] transformations in anime, and has five [0:43] girls wanting his big black sword. Nice. [0:47] However, one day everything changed when [0:50] this guy showed up. Lucius entering the [0:53] story has completely flipped the [0:55] narrative of Black Clover. In a matter [0:57] of minutes, this man declares himself [0:59] the ultimate Wizard King, defeats Asta [1:02] in seconds, and then proceeds to take [1:04] his girl. Don't tell me with this. After [1:07] being defeated by Lucius, Asta awoke in [1:10] the Hino Country, where he met the [1:12] Ryuzen Seven. They taught Asta the [1:14] ability he needs to defeat Lucius, as [1:17] his only weakness is physical attacks. [1:20] And now he has become 100 times [1:23] stronger. Ladies and gentlemen, [1:25] liability is called Zetten. However, [1:29] this begs the question, how strong is [1:31] Asta now? And what does 100 times [1:33] stronger even look like? In chapter 339, [1:37] it is stated Zetten is the process of a [1:39] manipulating one's ki and building up [1:42] magic power throughout their body. Ryuya [1:44] explains that in the Hino Country, a [1:46] person's ki is unconsciously turned into [1:49] your Yoryoku, their equivalent to magic. [1:52] But when someone does this consciously, [1:55] they can take that energy and make it [1:57] erupt in a single part of their body, [1:59] producing Zetten. Asta compares the [2:02] process to mana zones from the kingdom, [2:04] just in this case using ki as its basis [2:08] and then radiating it. He doesn't have [2:10] any magic, so he has to substitute it [2:13] for his anti-magic. In chapter 341, Asta [2:17] learns that his new technique can be [2:19] used in multiple different forms, such [2:22] as someone using 50% of their power in [2:24] two strikes or evening it out to 20% [2:27] across five. Remember, Zetten is an [2:30] ability that the best of the best [2:32] Yojutsu users can spend years trying to [2:36] master and never achieve. Yet, it only [2:38] took Asta a few days to learn it and [2:41] then master it. This puts it into [2:44] perspective just how skilled Asta is and [2:47] how his usage of ki in previous arcs has [2:50] been leading up to this moment. In the [2:52] end, it wasn't Asta's skill or battle [2:55] prowess that held him back mastering [2:57] Zetten, but his resolve and conviction. [3:00] After losing to Lucius, Asta felt [3:03] obsolete, stating, "I'm not gifted. I [3:05] can't afford to lose. Just keep getting [3:08] stronger and don't lose again. If you [3:10] lose, then become stronger than you were [3:12] before." However, Ryu states to Asta [3:15] that every once in a while his attention [3:18] lapses, which gives Ichika, a member of [3:21] the Ryuzen Seven, the opportunity to [3:23] destroy him. And that's what Lucius is [3:26] doing as well. This is how the both of [3:29] them defeat Asta and make him black out. [3:32] Yosuga, the strongest Ryuzen, stated [3:35] that Asta worries too much and that it [3:37] doesn't matter what kind of magic [3:39] someone has, as Asta's Zetten can cut [3:43] through it. This is because Asta's [3:45] anti-magic Zetten is the strongest [3:47] counter against anyone. As long as he [3:49] can see his opponent's attack, it's game [3:52] over and you win the fight. [3:54] >> That's why he's the goat. And now, if [3:56] you didn't know, this is because the [3:58] proficiency with Zetten is tied to your [4:01] convictions, resolve, and determination. [4:04] When Asta arrives in the land of the [4:06] sun, he's in a very doubtful state, [4:09] believing he wasn't strong enough to [4:10] beat Lucius and that he was a failure. [4:13] And so, to address the weak resolve that [4:16] Yuno claimed Asta to have in chapter [4:19] 348, the Paladin Yuno manifests his [4:23] greatest fear. In Asta's case, it was [4:26] his doubt that he could become stronger. [4:28] But with Zetten, Asta surpasses his [4:31] limits and destroys this version of [4:33] himself instantly. A better mental state [4:36] allows someone to fight better, and [4:38] Zetten is just part of that arsenal. In [4:41] order to find out just how strong Asta's [4:44] Zetten is, we need to do some power [4:46] scaling. Let's begin with just how much [4:49] faster Asta has become. Well, the fact [4:51] that in episode 1, he literally traveled [4:54] faster than captains could register, it [4:57] proves Asta was already above average. [5:00] And it's hard to comprehend this, but [5:03] Asta had already become faster than [5:05] light by chapter 50 onwards. As Yami and [5:09] Gauche confirmed, Patri was light speed. [5:11] This is before Patri's dark elf [5:14] transformation, which made him even [5:15] faster and stronger. But Asta scales [5:18] higher than him many times over by the [5:21] end of the elf arc after defeating [5:23] Zagred. However, Asta can go beyond the [5:26] speed of captains before even the time [5:29] skip began. We know this by taking a [5:32] look at chapter 146. At that point of [5:35] time, Sol Leon was multiple times faster [5:38] than light in the power scaling and [5:40] launched her attack to Raya. However, [5:42] Asta still managed to hit him before any [5:45] of her attacks landed to save him, [5:47] proving his speed was above the [5:49] strongest captain before any further [5:51] power-ups. If you didn't know, in Black [5:54] Clover, increasing your magic means [5:56] increasing your speed. So, as the story [5:59] goes on, these guys are getting faster [6:02] and faster. Magna in chapter 124 threw [6:05] fireballs at Asta so fast that he [6:08] couldn't read them with his key, which [6:10] means even his father's ass was scaling [6:13] faster than light at this point since [6:16] Asta was capable of keeping up with that [6:18] speed prior. And what's insane is that [6:21] the Dark Triad arc displayed the [6:23] difference between Magna and Dante. [6:26] Magna was 500 times weaker than Dante [6:29] with Lucifero at 100%, but when Naamah [6:32] and Lilith arrived, they made even Dante [6:36] bricks in chapter 279, where chapter 280 [6:39] clearly states they scale even higher [6:42] than him. In fact, we are told by Nacht [6:45] their power is more than just 1 + 1, [6:47] meaning they are twice as strong as [6:50] Dante with Lucifero. Thus, via Magna's [6:53] graph, he could be 2,000 times weaker [6:56] than their fusion transformation at a [6:58] minimum. And guess what? Asta's [7:01] imperfect Devil Union was keeping up [7:03] with those supreme devils and eventually [7:06] killed them, which meant he was already [7:08] scaling thousands of times more than [7:11] Magna or every other magic knight before [7:14] mastering his Devil Union [7:16] transformation, which essentially means [7:18] Asta can attack hundreds of times faster [7:21] than light. And now you have to include [7:24] Zetten, which boosts it 100 times more. [7:27] To put this further into perspective, [7:29] we've seen Asta outperform everyone with [7:32] his ancient demon attack in the Clover [7:34] Kingdom. Sisgoleon's brand new Hellfire [7:37] spell was introduced, which increases [7:39] her power with each passing second. [7:42] Knowing that Asta's Devil Union has a [7:44] 30-minute cool down, we can assume she [7:47] had been fighting for that long. Asta [7:49] speed blitzed the demon in a single [7:52] clean slice, no problemo. Whilst the [7:54] others needed 30 minutes to fight the [7:57] same demon, Asta only needed 30 seconds [8:00] if we're low balling, which means [8:02] Sisgoleon took 60 times longer to beat [8:05] the same opponent. However, Asta's gap [8:08] becomes even bigger as all the captains [8:11] combined can't even cast spells, let [8:14] alone react to Lucifero's speed when he [8:16] is introduced. Lucifero is hundreds of [8:19] times stronger than any other supreme [8:22] devil. And during their first encounter [8:24] in chapter 317, Asta without his union [8:28] couldn't react before he teleported to [8:30] him. But in contrast, when Master Devil [8:33] Union was achieved, Asta had increased [8:36] his speed to the point where a [8:38] distraction or helping hand wasn't even [8:40] needed from the others unlike before. So [8:43] by logic, Asta must be going thousands [8:46] of times faster than light for the story [8:48] to make sense. Asta is scaling so high [8:51] that he makes the Paladins and angels [8:54] look like a joke in comparison. [8:56] Therefore, with Zetten, Asta has made [8:59] the gap between them even smaller as [9:02] Zetten has increased his speed 100 times [9:05] than what it was before. This allows him [9:07] to kill Paladins with ease unlike other [9:10] captains. For example, in chapter 360, [9:14] Lucius states Sisgoleon should have died [9:17] instantly to Morris and they are [9:19] completely struggling in the current [9:21] timeline as without multiple sacrifices, [9:24] they still wouldn't live. And Morris, [9:26] frankly, isn't stronger than Sister [9:28] Lily's Paladin form. Why, you may ask? [9:31] Well, she received Beelzebub, one of the [9:34] three kings of hell's full magic power. [9:37] Yet, her spells of spatial magic and [9:40] more cannot keep up with Asta's speed. [9:43] Bear in mind, Zenon said he is the best [9:46] and fastest spatial magic user in his [9:48] fight against Yuno when Finral and [9:50] Langris were helping out. This is [9:52] important as in Asta's initial fight [9:55] with Lucius, he tries to predict his [9:57] movements if you forgot. But, he isn't [10:00] fast enough and has a lapse of judgment [10:02] like Ryu mentioned earlier. However, now [10:05] with Zetten against Ichika, who scales [10:08] at the level of Paladins and mind you [10:10] also has a magic ability called Black [10:13] Star, where we are told it creates [10:16] vulnerabilities in any opponent. Asta [10:19] was able to predict what was required of [10:22] him to match her. This means his Zetten [10:25] against Lucius will penetrate his [10:27] defense and make up for his weaknesses, [10:30] especially since we see in chapter 360 [10:33] Yuno is able to damage Lucius's Paladin [10:37] form and kill him. He's getting faster, [10:39] too. He becomes so fast that Lucius [10:42] thinks he must not be reading the future [10:44] quick enough. But, in reality, it's all [10:47] because of Asta's existence changing the [10:49] entire timeline. So, that means Asta's [10:52] speed with Zetten, of course, has to [10:54] match Yuno or be even faster to stand a [10:58] chance. Therefore, proving again Asta is [11:01] moving thousands of times faster than [11:03] light. As Yuno is instantly teleporting [11:06] with his star magic and using his wind [11:09] magic to pump his numbers up. However, [11:11] let's move on to Asta's strength with [11:14] Zetten. Firstly, keep in mind Asta [11:16] already scales at multi-continental [11:19] level. Lucifero was so powerful that it [11:22] was stated many times that his mere [11:25] existence would be the end of the entire [11:27] world. This scaling existed way before [11:31] his manifestation. As Licht's demon, was [11:34] stated to have enough power to wipe out [11:36] humanity, stated in chapter one. And [11:39] later on, against Lumiere, the first [11:41] Wizard King, with just a single spell, [11:44] Licht would obliterate the entire Clover [11:47] Kingdom if it was activated, in which [11:49] Zagred confirmed this that there would [11:51] be nothing left. Now, if you're [11:53] wondering, "Well, Asta knows other [11:55] demons, so that doesn't count." Well, if [11:57] we go even further back, such as Fana's [12:00] fire spirit, volume 16.5's data book [12:04] states that one swing from his talon has [12:07] enough heat to dry up an entire ocean. [12:10] This is enough power to destroy [12:12] countries, as even the Atlantic Ocean in [12:15] real life would require 239 petatons of [12:19] TNT to completely evaporate it. However, [12:23] funnily enough, Asta scales higher than [12:26] Salamander with only his black Asta [12:28] form, as he defeated Ladros, who [12:31] absorbed all of its power, having enough [12:34] attack potency to break through his [12:36] magic ability. I mean, he practically [12:39] made Ladros cry. So, as Black Clover's [12:41] story continues, Asta's power level has [12:44] to keep increasing to go way beyond [12:47] these characters, as he can defeat all [12:49] of them with ease, which makes sense of [12:52] Ryu stating that Lucius would not only [12:55] take over all the kingdoms, but even the [12:57] Hino Country. His level of power can [13:00] take over the entire planet with ease, [13:02] which only naturally means Asta's attack [13:05] potency has to increase once again to [13:08] stand a chance. This is why it makes [13:10] sense that Zetten was introduced to [13:13] increase Asta's power 100 times. From [13:16] Jack's ultimate attack in chapter 357, [13:19] we can see that he split the entire [13:22] kingdom in half, which destroyed an [13:24] angel. But since we have established [13:27] that Asta already scales thousands of [13:29] times higher than other characters, it [13:32] only goes to show why he is relied upon [13:35] instead of him. For example, we were [13:37] told Asta was the only one capable of [13:40] destroying Lucifer's full manifestation. [13:43] And even against the five-headed dragon, [13:45] he was needed. Ryu hedged all of his [13:48] bets on Asta being the only one capable [13:51] of destroying all five heads at once. [13:54] The only person that could possibly [13:56] match Asta's Zetten would be Yosuga, but [13:59] even then his Zetten doesn't cut through [14:02] magic itself, right? Which makes his [14:04] abilities far weaker than Asta's [14:06] anti-magic when paired up against the [14:09] Paladins. This means Asta's Zetten [14:12] technically scales higher than the rest [14:14] of the Ryuzen 7, making him the [14:16] strongest Zetten user in the world. Even [14:19] more evidence that Asta before even [14:22] unlocking Zetten was pretty much capable [14:25] of destroying entire countries. Just [14:27] take a look at Dorothy's Glamour World, [14:30] which allows her to create her very own [14:32] dimension kitted out with stars and a [14:35] [ __ ] solar system. In fact, whilst [14:37] Magna claims that Luck's statement of it [14:40] being endless is impossible, Elf Dorothy [14:42] does back him up stating that in the [14:45] Glamour World even the impossible is [14:47] possible. Later on in chapter 184, it is [14:51] confirmed that everything that is [14:52] manifested in the world is structured [14:55] physically and chemically the same way [14:57] they are in the outside world. Yami, [15:00] however, with his dimension slash [15:02] managed to destroy the world in just a [15:04] single slice. This feat is not exclusive [15:08] to just him, either. As we know, Asta [15:10] has based much of his fighting style off [15:13] his sensei to the point where he even [15:15] replicated his Equinox spell that [15:18] achieved this feat. Therefore, with his [15:20] anti-magic and most definitely with his [15:23] Zetten boost, Asta would annihilate [15:26] Dorothy's entire Glamour World, which is [15:28] endless like it's freaking child's play. [15:31] However, this helps explain how Asta [15:34] found it so easy to kill the five-headed [15:36] dragon with one swing, casually [15:38] splitting the sky across the entire Kino [15:41] Country in the process of using a Zetten [15:44] boosted attack. As a result, he became a [15:47] living legend as he matched the feat of [15:50] the person that created this ability in [15:52] the first place, and everyone in the [15:54] country witnessed him doing it as it [15:57] went across the entire landmass. So, [15:59] putting things into perspective, you can [16:02] clearly understand by now that Asta with [16:04] his Zetten is more than capable of [16:07] wiping the floor of every single magic [16:09] knight and captain on his own as they [16:12] scale thousands of times lower than him. [16:14] This is why Lucius confirms that in [16:17] every single timeline, only Asta and [16:20] Yuno stand a chance against him. [16:22] Everyone else would die. By now, Asta [16:25] has enough attack potency in his soul [16:27] that can technically destroy countries [16:30] and moon-sized planets in half. This [16:33] swiftly brings us to his defense. Asta's [16:36] Zetten has increased it even further, [16:38] but let's take a look at where it was [16:41] before he made it stronger. Against [16:43] Lucifero, it was stated that a single [16:45] attack from him would kill you according [16:48] to Yuno in chapter 322. Therefore, [16:51] through deduction, Asta already gained [16:53] the best speed in terms of durability [16:56] against Lucifero in comparison to any [16:58] other character. This is before Master [17:01] Devil Union. Now, instead of one punch [17:04] having the force to kill somebody, Asta [17:06] tanks four heavy attacks before he was [17:08] at death's door in comparison. Asta said [17:11] that one punch did so much damage that [17:14] it feels like he cannot move anymore, [17:16] and his eyes won't focus. This is [17:19] similar to what Ichika achieved, a [17:21] member of the Ryuzen Seven, when she [17:23] utilized her full blast Zetten and Asta [17:27] in chapter 340, where he almost blacked [17:30] out instantly and lost. This tells us [17:33] how powerful Zetten is, that it's making [17:36] a Ryuzen do a similar feat to Lucifero, [17:39] the King of Hell, as the power scaling [17:42] keeps increasing. In fact, Ichika's feat [17:45] is even greater because Asta had [17:47] mastered Devil Union at this point and [17:49] against Lucifero, he didn't. And must I [17:52] remind you that trash Pharaoh, when he [17:54] faced Master Devil Union, Asta was [17:57] taking punch after punch without even [17:59] having to flinch. He was pathetic. So, [18:01] thanks to perfect Devil Union, Asta can [18:04] now manifest anti-magic anywhere in his [18:06] body, meaning that he himself is now the [18:09] weapon. This basically makes him [18:11] indestructible as magic is now pointless [18:14] before him in this form. No matter how [18:16] many punches Lucifer tries to land, [18:18] thanks to Asta's buff body, he can take [18:21] it all as the magic dissipates upon [18:23] contact with him. However, since Zetten [18:26] is a new power concept, when Ichika [18:28] initially tests Asta, he states that his [18:32] anti-magic is taking the edge of the [18:35] attacks and blocks simple Yojutsu. So, [18:38] if it wasn't for this property of [18:40] anti-magic, chapter 340 insinuates he [18:43] would have been destroyed even sooner. [18:46] On the other hand, after mastering [18:48] Zetten, this is where the weakness in [18:50] his armor disappears. Chapter 348, he [18:54] destroys his weaknesses literally, not [18:57] having to be afraid of anyone, including [19:00] Lucius. Asta's weakness of physical [19:03] attacks has subsided and we know this [19:06] because the Paladin that faced him, [19:08] Yuno, had enough power to claim that he [19:11] would instantly die if Asta was touched. [19:14] However, since he has increased every [19:16] stat so high, he instantly reacts to him [19:20] and counters, destroying him in one [19:22] attack. In volume 23.5, [19:25] it showcases the events of the Conrad in [19:28] which Asta faces off against all of the [19:31] Black Bulls on his own at the same time. [19:33] This is before he had achieved the [19:35] imperfect Devil Union by a training with [19:38] Noa. Now, as you'd expect, Magnus flames [19:41] are fodder for Asta as he easily [19:44] deflects with his Black Divider. Luck, [19:46] Gauche, and Zora try to attack, but [19:48] again, Asta easily defends with his [19:51] Black Hurricane. Noelle tries to then [19:53] put her husband in place by unleashing [19:55] Sea Dragon's Roar, which amounts to [19:58] nothing as he smirks. Even when they [20:00] sync together and attack all at once, [20:03] Asta manages to parry them all away, [20:06] which is when Julius decided to [20:08] contribute by secretly coordinating the [20:10] attack of the Bulls through Finral's [20:12] magic. They all combined and Grey [20:15] converted Noelle's water to oil, which [20:18] Luck then set on fire with his magic, [20:20] forcing Asta into the air where Charmy [20:23] hit him with a surprise hit. This [20:25] strategy got them the win against Asta, [20:28] but as they revealed, it was actually [20:31] all thanks to the brilliant thinking of [20:33] Julius. However, Julius knows better [20:36] than anyone that an attack of this level [20:38] was the only chance they had against [20:41] this god. At this moment, Asta glazes [20:44] the Black Bulls in their skill, and [20:46] after using the Imperial Sword in the [20:48] movie, it gave him insight into the past [20:51] Wizard Kings. He found out that the [20:53] Black Bulls' teamwork to be reminiscent [20:56] of strategies used by them in battles, [20:59] declaring once again that these dudes [21:02] are actually the strongest squad in the [21:04] series, even all the way back then [21:06] before the time skip training even [21:08] occurred. Now, at that moment of time, a [21:11] sense of dread overcame Asta as a [21:14] massive black slash cut through the sky, [21:16] forcing Asta to gather all his remaining [21:19] strength to defend himself against Yami. [21:22] The captain of the Black Bulls proceeded [21:24] to explain that Asta's control over [21:27] anti-magic is too weak, leaving him wide [21:30] open, making his defense inconsistent. [21:32] Now, in the Hino Country, Ryu came to [21:35] the same conclusion. But after Asta's [21:38] mastery over Zetten, he claims in [21:40] chapter 366 he will no longer lose any [21:44] more fights. As he destroyed all his [21:46] weaknesses and fears whilst training, we [21:49] find out Asta's goal and what type of [21:51] Wizard King he wants to be in this [21:53] volume. He vows to battle the Black [21:55] Bulls again when he knows he can beat [21:58] them all at once at the same time. Now, [22:01] eventually, with more training after [22:03] defeating Lucifero, Asta mastered Devil [22:06] Union to an even more powerful level. He [22:09] is able to use it for an extended [22:11] duration of time. But [22:14] we all know what happens next. After [22:16] Lucius stole his childhood buddy and [22:19] booted his ass to the Hino Country, he [22:22] wanted more than anything else to get [22:24] stronger and beat Lucius. Luckily for [22:26] him, the Ryuzen Seven are here to help. [22:29] It's at this point in the story where [22:31] Asta is introduced to the Zetten [22:33] concept. Ryu explains that in the Hino [22:36] Country, a person's key is unconsciously [22:39] turned into magic. However, when someone [22:42] does this consciously, they can take [22:44] that energy and make it erupt in a [22:46] single part of their body, producing the [22:49] Zetten attack. Asta compares the process [22:51] to mana zones from Kingdoms, just in [22:54] this case using key as its basis and [22:57] then radiating it. He doesn't have any [22:59] magic, so he has to substitute it for [23:02] anti-magic. And in chapter 341, Asta [23:05] learns that this new technique can be [23:07] used in multiple different forms, such [23:10] as someone using 50% of their power in [23:12] two strikes, or evening it out to 20% [23:16] across five. Remember, Zetten is an [23:18] ability that the best of the best Yūtsu [23:21] users can spend years trying to master, [23:25] and they never do. Yet, only took Asta, [23:28] my goat, a few days just to do so, [23:31] proving that this dude and his hard work [23:35] is making him go to genius levels. Get [23:37] this, Yūsuke described Asta's Zetten as [23:41] the perfect counter to magic, so much so [23:44] it was able to return Paladins like [23:47] Yūral and Sister Lily to normal after [23:50] concentrating their ability into his [23:52] sword and striking them. So, Zetten not [23:55] only increases Asta's power 100 times, [23:59] but also allows him to further master [24:01] his anti-magic, granting him arguably [24:04] the most vital ability in the whole war. [24:06] This is the power to bestow anti-magic [24:09] onto other people. Everyone was so weak, [24:12] so bro, Asta had to make them like him. [24:15] Rill explains this concept to Asta in [24:17] chapter 367, that Zetten has allowed [24:21] Asta to make his anti-magic to a new [24:23] level. And therefore, he should be able [24:26] to use the Demon Dweller's properties on [24:28] people as a result. So, Asta creates the [24:31] ultimate Black Bulls team, making these [24:34] guys even stronger than before, despite [24:36] initially being on the brink of death. [24:39] Another moment that proved Asta is just [24:42] on a whole other level is when he makes [24:44] his grand entrance, forming all the aura [24:47] in the world against Damnatio, where he [24:49] uses Demon Destroyer to dispel Baal's [24:52] magic by creating his own mini [24:55] anti-magic zone. And then, get this, he [24:58] beats him in his base form without help. [25:01] That's why he's the goat. Zetten is the [25:03] thing which gives Asta the edge in [25:06] physical combat that Lucius pointed out [25:08] was his weakness. And in chapter 378, we [25:12] finally see Asta prove Lucius wrong. He [25:16] was able to cut through an entourage of [25:18] Lucius' clones and work hand-in-hand [25:21] with Yuno. Lucius even says that [25:23] together they are inherently surpassing [25:25] his prophecy of total victory. So, Asta [25:28] is so goated he nullifies fate itself. [25:32] At this point, he is easily the [25:34] strongest character in the series. [25:36] Lucifero, Lucius, any supreme devil [25:39] combined, or even the captains, they [25:41] would die in one attack against him. [25:44] Lucius had to steal all the magic in the [25:46] world just to stand a chance. Yes! [25:50] Yes! [25:51] Yes! Asta becoming the greatest wizard [25:54] king of all time is happening more than [25:57] ever. He's achieving a feat the other 32 [26:00] never could. Mimosa states, "Asta, you [26:03] even turn former enemies into allies." [26:06] So, [26:08] why would anyone want Yuno to become a [26:10] wizard king instead again? Please remind [26:13] me in the comments cuz I don't know. Is [26:15] it even a race at this point for the [26:17] title? Because in my book, Asta has [26:21] out-lapped Yuno 10 times over. I mean, [26:23] Tabata even drew this artwork of Asta's [26:27] wizard king outfit and he's dripped the [26:29] [ __ ] out looking bossy. So, because of [26:33] all the people Asta united, Mimosa [26:36] finally reaches our MC to heal him [26:38] completely. But obviously, this takes [26:40] time and Yuno must buy more of it. Then, [26:44] we see Asta face planted on the floor. [26:47] Bro is cooked. Oh, no. [26:50] >> Mimosa states to fully heal Asta's [26:53] wounds, she needs to use ultimate magic. [26:55] But if she does that, the other injured [26:57] people would die. Asta definitely [26:59] wouldn't want to be the only person [27:01] saved, so it's a train tracks situation [27:04] in real time. However, due to Asta [27:07] changing the entire world by being the [27:09] patriarch of good and uniting the people [27:11] to respect commoners, they all realize [27:14] we are second. We are all NPCs and [27:17] trash. We're the [ __ ] people. No. Asta, [27:20] there's no way we can be more useful [27:22] than the future Wizard King. So they [27:25] tell Mimosa to heal Asta anyways as they [27:28] would gladly sacrifice themselves. Like [27:31] Damn. Look how far Asta has come. Bro [27:34] was a laughing stock at the Grim War [27:36] ceremony. He got treated like [ __ ] by [27:39] every other royal noble for being [27:41] magicless, and he even got framed for [27:43] murder. There is countless prejudice [27:46] against the dude throughout his journey, [27:48] but because he's so hard working and [27:51] selfless, making the world realize their [27:53] wrongs, now even the most elite squads [27:56] are stating that he's the most valuable [27:59] person on this side. Like, bro. It [28:01] brings a tear to my eye. That's why he's [28:03] the goat. The goat. Now, whilst this is [28:07] going down, this epic square-off occurs [28:10] between Yuno and Lucius on different [28:12] platforms. Yuno realizes that he is [28:15] terrified of Asta because he could not [28:18] predict any of his old enemies coming to [28:21] the war to take his side. But Lucius is [28:23] still confident he will win. He [28:25] showcases how the entire kingdom is [28:28] turned into rubble, and it will soon be [28:30] checkmate for Yuno when his anti-magic [28:33] will run out. We even see a collage of [28:35] every other character destroying the [28:37] angels. Keep in mind, these are buffed [28:40] ones ever since Lucius entity's final [28:42] form three chapters ago. That's why they [28:45] look more evil now. Langris using his [28:48] spatial nukes that delete space. Leon is [28:51] using the magic he trained in the heart [28:52] kingdom and more. And Mimosa's brother [28:55] are doing their thing. They remember the [28:57] past and all the words Asta said to them [29:00] about being better people. And as a [29:02] result, they resolved to keep destroying [29:04] the enemy over and over get stronger as [29:07] they even acknowledge Asta saying, [29:10] "You're him. You're the MC. You're the [29:12] one that has to kill Lucius and save us [29:15] all and become the Wizard King." Mimosa [29:17] then starts crying that she will fail [29:20] her future husband just like in the [29:22] Lucifer fight when Asta went to fight [29:24] even though he was half dead. She wasn't [29:26] able to heal him back then and that made [29:29] her feel worse than ever. However, guess [29:32] what? Uber Eats arrives with Charmy to [29:35] restore her mana with food. And with [29:37] this power up, Mimosa becomes a more [29:39] beautiful than ever revealing her [29:42] Princess Utopia spell. She heals Asta [29:45] completely to full health and just when [29:48] she's about to die, Asta gets up and [29:51] kills the bad guy so fast in the blink [29:53] of an eye that no one saw it coming. [29:55] Asta then forms all the aura in the [29:58] world with full rage that he's coming [30:00] for Lucius and will promise to kill it. [30:03] Asta regrouping with everyone after [30:05] being revived by Mimosa. They all become [30:08] top tier glazers. They're glad that [30:11] their future Wizard King pulled through. [30:12] Liebe apologizes that their devil union [30:15] became undone. His concentration and [30:18] willpower depleted when Lucius used [30:21] their mother Licita as a human shield [30:23] against them. This is what almost caused [30:26] their death, but Asta tells his brother [30:28] to shake it off and they've got this in [30:30] the bag. Lucius has taken over Heath's [30:32] Paladin and has Ryu the Shogun in his [30:35] clutches. Lucius admits that just like [30:38] Asta, Ryu was also a man he couldn't see [30:41] the future of since he is mana-less. [30:43] This caused him problems, but then he [30:45] asks why the interest in Asta. Now, in [30:49] typical villain fashion, instead of [30:51] finishing Ryu off and breaking his neck [30:54] in, I don't know, T-minus 0.1 seconds, [30:57] he doesn't go on a yap session. And [30:59] guess what he yaps about? It's pure Asta [31:03] glaze, giving us yet another moment [31:06] proving why people believe he has the [31:08] merit to become Wizard King. Ryu claims [31:11] that when he got his Tengetsu eye, he [31:14] had to give up all his magic. And in the [31:15] process, it was difficult to accept, and [31:18] it felt like he was giving up on the [31:20] dream he promised with his friends [31:22] Yosuga and Yami Sukehiro. Although, he [31:24] doesn't regret his decision at all. Now, [31:27] remember, in chapter 351, we learned why [31:30] the Shogun has no magic. As 17, Ryu [31:33] watched his homeland get torn apart by a [31:36] plague that preyed on the weak power. [31:38] His rival and friend Yosuga stood beside [31:41] him. And together, they swore a dream, [31:44] making a world where magic and rank [31:47] doesn't decide your worth, which is just [31:49] like Asta. So, knowing that this goal is [31:52] ever so difficult, Ryu needed a vice to [31:55] escape his cruel reality. And when he [31:58] was looking for Yami Sukehiro with his [32:00] eye, he came across Asta from Hage [32:03] Village. He was a boy with no magic that [32:05] he could relate to, which resulted in [32:07] Ryu deciding to keep an eye on him to [32:10] see where his story led. Eventually, he [32:12] realized Asta was the goat, as he was [32:15] someone that never gave up. He kept [32:17] getting stronger to protect people and [32:20] wasn't afraid to charge head first. He [32:22] saw Asta accomplish the impossible, [32:25] basically confirming that Ryu, he binge [32:28] read the entirety of the Black Clover [32:30] manga, just like us, and he became a [32:32] fan. And that gave Ryu strength and [32:35] courage to keep going. As a result, he [32:37] will not back up Lucius and his false [32:40] ideals of playing the Antichrist God. He [32:43] will follow Asta to the death. So, [32:45] hearing all of this, Lucius says, "I bet [32:49] I guess it's about time I break this [32:51] dude's neck." But, it's too late. [32:53] Yosuga, the most powerful of the Reuzan [32:56] Seven, saves the day. And he does a [32:58] Zetten attack, cleanly cutting Lucius's [33:01] head off. And things only go from bad to [33:04] worse for Lucius. Those tens of [33:07] thousands of timelines where he wins, [33:09] they're becoming meaningless. The one [33:11] singularity timeline where Asta wins is [33:14] coming true. Because whilst fighting [33:16] Yuno with anti-magic, my guy thinks he's [33:19] about to get the job done of killing [33:20] him. But, no. He gets blitzed. Yuno uses [33:24] Asta's black meteorite in combination [33:27] with his star conjunction magic, which [33:29] makes him even faster than before. This [33:32] lands a clean hit on Lucius, and he then [33:35] drops the sword back to his brother. The [33:37] goat returns at full power. And Lucius [33:41] once again resorts to cheap tactics. He [33:44] resurrects Asta's mother as a paladin. [33:47] But, this time the brothers of [33:48] destruction have strengthened their [33:50] resolve. They instantly killed their [33:53] fake mother in one shot. As Asta [33:55] declares that this fight is the final [33:58] battle. The chaos causes widespread [34:01] destruction throughout the Clover [34:02] Castle. And this is symbolic in many [34:05] ways. We see these guys do beautiful [34:08] choreography destroying the entire [34:10] palace, right? Oh oh, just look at him. [34:13] The water's at its peak. Now, what does [34:15] this all mean? Firstly, Lucius [34:18] proclaimed himself as the ultimate [34:20] wizard king. And the Clover Castle is [34:23] everything that title stands for. It's [34:25] the center of power in the kingdom, the [34:27] throne of hierarchy and authority, and [34:30] the very heart of his perfect world, is [34:32] where kings, nobles, and the so-called [34:35] chosen ones sit above everyone else, [34:37] looking down on others. Others like Asta [34:40] and Yuno. They're both the complete [34:42] opposites of everything Lucius stands [34:45] for. He wants a world where everyone is [34:47] the same, where no one has flaws or free [34:50] will. But Asta proves that those [34:52] imperfections are a strength. And Yuno [34:55] proves that equality that comes with a [34:57] noble like him working with a nobody [34:59] like Asta, it's actually the key to a [35:02] better world. And so, every strike of [35:04] Lucius that lands and destroys a pillar [35:07] of this palace, is just symbolic in a [35:09] sense that in front of Asta and Yuno, [35:12] the world that the royals had built, and [35:14] what Lucius strives for, it's basically [35:17] collapsing. The old world must crumble [35:19] to bring about a much-needed change. But [35:22] it will be Asta as the 29th Wizard King [35:25] that spearheads the next era of total [35:28] and true equality. And Loki, Lucius is [35:31] beginning to see that his vision could [35:33] be cooked. Because seeing Asta and Yuno [35:36] together, he realizes that they're [35:39] making each other both level up at a [35:42] rate that he can't keep up with. They're [35:44] becoming far stronger and faster than he [35:47] can manage. Which of course, all links [35:50] back to the Asta effect. But for now, [35:52] things go full insanity. Because Asta [35:56] and Yuno are moving so fast, they [35:58] literally vanish off the page. This is [36:01] some platinum sperm versus Garou-level [36:03] choreography. A constellation of [36:06] afterimages that no one can follow [36:08] proceeds. Lucius then starts shaking, [36:11] calling it a pain, because he can't keep [36:13] up. So, he plays dirty. He targets [36:16] innocent lives. After all, he doesn't [36:18] care. He can just resurrect everyone as [36:20] perfect clones anyway. He casts his [36:22] strongest spell. Hundreds of magic types [36:25] merging into one countrywide spirit [36:28] bomb, the Ganjuan ultimate magic united [36:31] forces. Everyone stares into the sky [36:34] realizing, "Oh my god, we're cooked. [36:36] We're about to die, bro." But guess who [36:38] finally steps up? Lefron [36:40] Vermillion. This man has done nothing [36:44] for 150 chapters. He got the fire spirit [36:47] salamander back in 2020, and he never [36:49] did a thing with it until now. He tells [36:52] Asta and Yuno, "Keep your eyes on [36:55] Lucius. Leave this to us." Then finally, [36:57] he activates spirit dive. Now, okay, [37:00] let's hold up. Why didn't he use this [37:02] earlier against Morris, the Paladins, [37:05] the angels, whilst people were dying and [37:07] begging for help? Well, [37:09] forget good writing. This is all right [37:11] and hype moments. Let him cook. [37:16] The fraud label is no longer there, and [37:18] he joins his sister Sisgoleon, who's [37:21] been fighting with hellfire incarnate [37:24] for what feels like 40 chapters [37:26] straight. And together, they try to stop [37:28] Lucius's spell, but they're not alone. [37:31] They call Leo. He remembers every moment [37:34] he was left behind, and now he finally [37:37] catches up. Paying homage to Goku, [37:40] Gohan, and Goten's Kamehameha, they [37:43] release a triple vermillion inferno, a [37:46] vortex of flames so massive, it [37:48] incinerates Lucius's world-ending magic. [37:51] And whilst that happens, Asta and Yuno [37:54] break reality together. Their fight [37:57] moves so fast that Lucius can't [37:59] regenerate anymore. He's still bleeding. [38:01] He doesn't even have the time to use [38:03] magic to heal himself. So then, our duo [38:07] enter flow state. One mind, one timing, [38:10] one purpose. Asta and Liebe become one, [38:14] whilst Yuno and Bell do too. So with [38:16] this new power up, they blast Lucius [38:19] straight through his own magic. And now, [38:22] Lucius shows something we've never seen [38:24] before. He's actually a freak. He knows [38:27] it, we know it. We're in the end game, [38:29] [ __ ] You witness Asta and Yuno break [38:32] reality together. Their fight moves so [38:35] fast, Lucius can't regenerate anymore, [38:37] and he's still bleeding. Asta and Liebe [38:40] become one, whilst Yuno and Bell do a [38:43] fusion as well, where their mind and [38:45] purpose become one. Their rivalry and [38:48] understanding of one another make each [38:50] other get stronger than ever before. And [38:52] they blast Lucius straight through his [38:55] own magic. We see Lucius afraid for the [38:58] first time, where his arms have ripped [39:00] apart. He acknowledges their true fusion [39:03] is working against him. The power scale [39:06] has gone way beyond anything Lucius ever [39:09] accounted for. By his own admission, [39:12] across tens of thousands of futures he [39:14] saw, a one verse one against them should [39:17] have been effortless. And yet, Lucius [39:20] keeps making the same mistake. He [39:22] doubles down on the idea that Yuno is [39:25] his true rival, claiming that Yuno never [39:28] would have reached this level without [39:30] Asta. And for the millionth time, he [39:33] repeats that no matter how strong they [39:36] become, you cannot win. [39:40] Are you serious right now, bro? Now, to [39:42] prove it, Lucius floods the battlefield [39:45] with an absurd number of beasts made [39:47] from every magic attribute imaginable. [39:50] Remember, Lucius absorbed every grimoire [39:53] from the tower, meaning his magic supply [39:56] is effectively limitless. But this is [39:59] where everything falls apart for him, [40:02] because Asta and Yuno clap back with [40:04] something he never understood. Power [40:06] alone has never defined the Wizard King. [40:09] They erase everything in their path [40:11] instantly. And then, the real [40:14] ideological kill shot lands right in his [40:16] face. Lucius declares himself humanity's [40:19] savior, yet not a single person [40:22] acknowledges him as their true leader. [40:24] Instead, Asta and Yuno state something [40:27] that has been true since the very [40:29] beginning of Black Clover. The Wizard [40:32] King is chosen by the people. The entire [40:35] world is watching this moment unfold [40:37] because Lucius, being the genius [40:40] himself, he's broadcasting it using [40:43] Marx's magic. Kings, civilians, magic [40:46] knights, and everyone witness who truly [40:49] stands for humanity. This has always [40:51] been the core of the story. Julius [40:54] wasn't respected because he was the [40:56] strongest. He was respected because [40:59] everyone believed in him. One of the [41:01] first things Asta asks Julius when they [41:04] first met was how to become Wizard King, [41:06] and he said it was to earn merit. And [41:09] Asta's entire journey from a magicless [41:11] peasant to the world's hope has been [41:14] about earning acknowledgement and not [41:16] demanding authority through power. This [41:18] mirrors the same principle Itachi Uchiha [41:21] explained to Naruto. It's never been the [41:23] one who becomes Hokage that will be [41:25] acknowledged by everyone. It's the one [41:27] who is acknowledged by everyone becoming [41:29] the Hokage. Because, of course, we live [41:31] in a democracy in this [ __ ] right? So, [41:33] Lucius, he basically wanted to rule [41:35] humanity from above as a dictator, not [41:38] giving any real freedom as this [41:40] Antichrist type figure. Whilst Asta and [41:43] Yuno stand among the people, changing [41:46] the world for better organically. We [41:48] then see the destruction of the country. [41:51] Their fight has them blitzing around [41:53] creating speed constellations in the sky [41:55] nonstop. Eventually, their teamwork [41:58] pulls through. Asta tanks a building, [42:01] and Yuno breaks through it to land an [42:03] attack. He then tells Lucius, "Bitch, [42:05] listen. You keep saying I'm your rival, [42:08] but you're not. Asta is, and he's the [42:10] one I want to surpass." Let's look back [42:13] from the very beginning in chapter 1. [42:15] Their rivalry was never built on hatred. [42:18] It was built on a promise. Two orphans [42:21] standing in a broken church swearing [42:24] that one of them would become the Wizard [42:25] King and that they'd force the other to [42:28] rise with them. Every step Yuno and Asta [42:31] took was about keeping up with the one [42:33] person who refused to leave them behind. [42:36] And this is where a bombshell is [42:38] dropped. Tabata truly glazed Yuno to a [42:42] next level in this final fight. Lucius [42:44] claimed that his magical power has [42:47] reached above ultimate. He has entered [42:49] the supreme realm, receiving his [42:52] acknowledgement. And we need to pause [42:54] there because that's just insane to [42:57] hear. This is the same Lucius who [42:59] absorbed Asta of 100% Lucifer, the power [43:03] of every other devil in hell, every [43:05] grimoire in the tower, and unified the [43:08] strength of the Dark Triad into himself. [43:11] Yet now you're telling me Asta and Yuno [43:14] have reached this level of power? That [43:16] means every other enemy is now [43:18] pre-mortal. They can annihilate all the [43:21] captains and magic knights combined with [43:23] zero effort because no way anyone is [43:25] beating Lucius besides these two. No one [43:27] can compete with them anymore. And I [43:30] think this ties into Asta's words. Asta [43:33] once said he doesn't want to become [43:35] Wizard King until he knows he can defeat [43:38] all the Black Bulls at the same time on [43:40] his own. Well, we can pretty much say [43:43] that's a fact now. But Lucius's [43:45] prejudice against our MC it doesn't stop [43:48] there. When Yuno declares that magic [43:50] power has nothing to do with why he [43:52] stands beside Asta, Lucius crashes out. [43:56] He completely snaps, going berserk, [43:59] flooding the battlefield with [44:00] overwhelming magic. Furious that Yuno [44:03] would deny the very hierarchy Lucius [44:06] worships. But guess what? Asta cuts [44:09] through it all and erases them from [44:11] existence, giving us a speech that [44:14] inspires everyone in the world. Asta's [44:17] answer to Lucius's [44:19] speech against the floor is not only [44:21] about himself, but for the people of all [44:24] classes to realize their wrongs. Asta [44:28] tells him that this is my life, [44:30] acknowledging the frustration, despair, [44:33] and suffering he endured because he had [44:35] no magic at all. But, Asta never once [44:39] asks for Lucius's salvation, and he sure [44:42] as hell never asks for someone else to [44:44] decide what his life was worth. Asta's [44:47] speaking for peasants, magic knights, [44:50] and everyone who's ever been crushed by [44:52] a system that decided they were lesser. [44:55] The entire world is watching as Asta [44:58] declares that even if the world is [45:00] imperfect, it still belongs to the [45:02] people living in it. He's stating that [45:05] imperfection isn't a flaw that needs [45:07] erasing. It's what gives life meaning in [45:10] the first place. That no single person [45:12] has the right to own or dictate [45:15] humanity's future just because they're [45:17] powerful enough to see it. And that [45:19] freedom, even when it leads to pain, [45:21] failure, or chaos, it's more important [45:24] than a safe world where every outcome is [45:27] decided for you. Asta would rather live [45:29] in a world that people can change and [45:31] have free will rather than a perfect one [45:34] that they're forced to obey. And after [45:36] this epic ass speech, Lucius gets [45:40] clapped by the duo for being a fraud, a [45:43] trash villain, and a loser. However, [45:46] he's not giving up yet. They start [45:48] flying across the entire country with [45:50] everyone recognizing Asta and Yuno. They [45:53] push them forward to keep going and beg [45:56] to save them. Yuno charges his arrow at [45:59] full blast, and Asta created the biggest [46:02] black sword we have ever seen. The demon [46:05] dweller reaches the sky and cuts Lucius' [46:08] beast in half like butter. Now, what [46:11] Tabata did here, since he did not have [46:13] enough pages to clearly finish his [46:15] manga, he tried his best to convey a [46:17] message. We see peasants, nobles, [46:20] royals, and magic knights finally [46:22] uniting in their glazing for Asta. They [46:25] all state, "We are counting on you." and [46:27] scream at the top of their lungs. Like, [46:30] we already know what this will look like [46:31] in the anime. It's going to be peak. The [46:33] opening music will be playing at full [46:35] blast, peak animation, and a payoff [46:37] that's going to make us bust nuts. Now, [46:40] with this encouragement, the duo keeps [46:42] surpassing their limit, catching up to [46:44] Lucius wherever he tries to escape. They [46:47] need one more move to win the fight, an [46:49] opening needs to be created. Because [46:52] right now, Lucius is stalling for time. [46:54] He knows their transformations have a [46:57] limit, and once they're gone, his [46:58] victory is secure. But Tabata, he said, [47:01] "Nah, I'm about to cook peak with [47:03] Noelle." I would say out of all the [47:05] characters, Noelle, just like Nacht, [47:08] actually got the best development. Every [47:10] one of her story threads completed [47:13] really well. She finally met her mother [47:15] and resolved that tragedy. She got [47:17] acknowledgement apologies and [47:19] reconciled with her family. She's [47:21] finally confident enough to confess love [47:24] to Asta, and now she has complete [47:27] control of her magic power. Because with [47:30] the anti-magic abilities Asta bestowed [47:32] her, she comes in clutch. We receive a [47:35] montage of her journey. Every single [47:38] moment which leveled up her control by [47:40] surpassing the psychological limitation [47:43] placed upon herself. She flies in, [47:45] double cheeked up on a Thursday [47:47] afternoon preparing an attack. This [47:49] definitely seems inspired from Vegeta [47:52] helping Gohan against Cell to create an [47:54] opening. Similarly, Noelle states, [47:56] "Since no one can keep up with them, she [47:59] then controls a anti-magic bullet with [48:02] such precision that like a homing [48:04] missile instilled with anti-magic, it [48:07] hits Lucius's core and cracks it giving [48:10] the opening her future husband needs to [48:13] win. As soon as the attack lands, Julius [48:16] appears to help as well leaving his twin [48:19] in place to be slammed at full power [48:22] splitting him in half to die.
