## Summary

This video provides a comprehensive breakdown of Asta's powers in Black Clover, from his base abilities to his ultimate form with Zetten. It explains how Zetten works, its impact on his speed, strength, and defense, and how it makes him the strongest character in the series. The analysis includes power scaling comparisons to other characters and key moments from the manga.

### Key Points

- **Zetten Explained** [1:37] — Zetten is the process of manipulating one's ki and building up magic power throughout the body, then making it erupt in a single part of the body to produce a powerful attack. Asta substitutes his anti-magic for magic.
- **Asta's Quick Mastery of Zetten** [2:38] — Asta learned and mastered Zetten in just a few days, while the best Yojutsu users can spend years trying and never achieve it.
- **Asta Faster Than Light Since Early Series** [5:05] — Asta was already faster than light by chapter 50, as he could keep up with Patri who moved at light speed.
- **Asta's Speed with Zetten** [11:01] — With Zetten, Asta's speed is thousands of times faster than light, allowing him to kill Paladins with ease.
- **Asta's Destructive Power** [16:30] — Asta's attack potency with Zetten can destroy countries and moon-sized planets, as shown when he split the sky across the Hino Country.
- **Asta Overcomes Physical Weakness** [18:50] — After mastering Zetten, Asta destroyed his weaknesses and fears, making him able to react to and counter any physical attack instantly.
- **Zetten Enables Anti-Magic Sharing** [24:06] — Zetten allows Asta to bestow anti-magic onto other people, creating the ultimate Black Bulls team.
- **Asta Nullifies Fate** [25:16] — Asta's Zetten allows him to cut through Lucius's defense and nullify fate itself, making him the strongest character in the series.

## Transcript

Today we're diving straight into the
world of Black Clover to break down all
levels of Asta's powers, going from
absolute zero all the way up to his most
absolute god tier form. In each one,
we'll go deep on his swords, anti-magic,
devil unions, transformations, and every
insane power-up he unlocked. Asta is so
powerful now that he can move thousands
of times faster than light, blow up
small planets, and has the strongest
defense in the history of Black Clover.
And because of this, everyone is
learning Asta is him. He's gone
head-to-head with multiple high-ranked
devils, has one of the drippiest
transformations in anime, and has five
girls wanting his big black sword. Nice.
However, one day everything changed when
this guy showed up. Lucius entering the
story has completely flipped the
narrative of Black Clover. In a matter
of minutes, this man declares himself
the ultimate Wizard King, defeats Asta
in seconds, and then proceeds to take
his girl. Don't tell me with this. After
being defeated by Lucius, Asta awoke in
the Hino Country, where he met the
Ryuzen Seven. They taught Asta the
ability he needs to defeat Lucius, as
his only weakness is physical attacks.
And now he has become 100 times
stronger. Ladies and gentlemen,
liability is called Zetten. However,
this begs the question, how strong is
Asta now? And what does 100 times
stronger even look like? In chapter 339,
it is stated Zetten is the process of a
manipulating one's ki and building up
magic power throughout their body. Ryuya
explains that in the Hino Country, a
person's ki is unconsciously turned into
your Yoryoku, their equivalent to magic.
But when someone does this consciously,
they can take that energy and make it
erupt in a single part of their body,
producing Zetten. Asta compares the
process to mana zones from the kingdom,
just in this case using ki as its basis
and then radiating it. He doesn't have
any magic, so he has to substitute it
for his anti-magic. In chapter 341, Asta
learns that his new technique can be
used in multiple different forms, such
as someone using 50% of their power in
two strikes or evening it out to 20%
across five. Remember, Zetten is an
ability that the best of the best
Yojutsu users can spend years trying to
master and never achieve. Yet, it only
took Asta a few days to learn it and
then master it. This puts it into
perspective just how skilled Asta is and
how his usage of ki in previous arcs has
been leading up to this moment. In the
end, it wasn't Asta's skill or battle
prowess that held him back mastering
Zetten, but his resolve and conviction.
After losing to Lucius, Asta felt
obsolete, stating, "I'm not gifted. I
can't afford to lose. Just keep getting
stronger and don't lose again. If you
lose, then become stronger than you were
before." However, Ryu states to Asta
that every once in a while his attention
lapses, which gives Ichika, a member of
the Ryuzen Seven, the opportunity to
destroy him. And that's what Lucius is
doing as well. This is how the both of
them defeat Asta and make him black out.
Yosuga, the strongest Ryuzen, stated
that Asta worries too much and that it
doesn't matter what kind of magic
someone has, as Asta's Zetten can cut
through it. This is because Asta's
anti-magic Zetten is the strongest
counter against anyone. As long as he
can see his opponent's attack, it's game
over and you win the fight.
>> That's why he's the goat. And now, if
you didn't know, this is because the
proficiency with Zetten is tied to your
convictions, resolve, and determination.
When Asta arrives in the land of the
sun, he's in a very doubtful state,
believing he wasn't strong enough to
beat Lucius and that he was a failure.
And so, to address the weak resolve that
Yuno claimed Asta to have in chapter
348, the Paladin Yuno manifests his
greatest fear. In Asta's case, it was
his doubt that he could become stronger.
But with Zetten, Asta surpasses his
limits and destroys this version of
himself instantly. A better mental state
allows someone to fight better, and
Zetten is just part of that arsenal. In
order to find out just how strong Asta's
Zetten is, we need to do some power
scaling. Let's begin with just how much
faster Asta has become. Well, the fact
that in episode 1, he literally traveled
faster than captains could register, it
proves Asta was already above average.
And it's hard to comprehend this, but
Asta had already become faster than
light by chapter 50 onwards. As Yami and
Gauche confirmed, Patri was light speed.
This is before Patri's dark elf
transformation, which made him even
faster and stronger. But Asta scales
higher than him many times over by the
end of the elf arc after defeating
Zagred. However, Asta can go beyond the
speed of captains before even the time
skip began. We know this by taking a
look at chapter 146. At that point of
time, Sol Leon was multiple times faster
than light in the power scaling and
launched her attack to Raya. However,
Asta still managed to hit him before any
of her attacks landed to save him,
proving his speed was above the
strongest captain before any further
power-ups. If you didn't know, in Black
Clover, increasing your magic means
increasing your speed. So, as the story
goes on, these guys are getting faster
and faster. Magna in chapter 124 threw
fireballs at Asta so fast that he
couldn't read them with his key, which
means even his father's ass was scaling
faster than light at this point since
Asta was capable of keeping up with that
speed prior. And what's insane is that
the Dark Triad arc displayed the
difference between Magna and Dante.
Magna was 500 times weaker than Dante
with Lucifero at 100%, but when Naamah
and Lilith arrived, they made even Dante
bricks in chapter 279, where chapter 280
clearly states they scale even higher
than him. In fact, we are told by Nacht
their power is more than just 1 + 1,
meaning they are twice as strong as
Dante with Lucifero. Thus, via Magna's
graph, he could be 2,000 times weaker
than their fusion transformation at a
minimum. And guess what? Asta's
imperfect Devil Union was keeping up
with those supreme devils and eventually
killed them, which meant he was already
scaling thousands of times more than
Magna or every other magic knight before
mastering his Devil Union
transformation, which essentially means
Asta can attack hundreds of times faster
than light. And now you have to include
Zetten, which boosts it 100 times more.
To put this further into perspective,
we've seen Asta outperform everyone with
his ancient demon attack in the Clover
Kingdom. Sisgoleon's brand new Hellfire
spell was introduced, which increases
her power with each passing second.
Knowing that Asta's Devil Union has a
30-minute cool down, we can assume she
had been fighting for that long. Asta
speed blitzed the demon in a single
clean slice, no problemo. Whilst the
others needed 30 minutes to fight the
same demon, Asta only needed 30 seconds
if we're low balling, which means
Sisgoleon took 60 times longer to beat
the same opponent. However, Asta's gap
becomes even bigger as all the captains
combined can't even cast spells, let
alone react to Lucifero's speed when he
is introduced. Lucifero is hundreds of
times stronger than any other supreme
devil. And during their first encounter
in chapter 317, Asta without his union
couldn't react before he teleported to
him. But in contrast, when Master Devil
Union was achieved, Asta had increased
his speed to the point where a
distraction or helping hand wasn't even
needed from the others unlike before. So
by logic, Asta must be going thousands
of times faster than light for the story
to make sense. Asta is scaling so high
that he makes the Paladins and angels
look like a joke in comparison.
Therefore, with Zetten, Asta has made
the gap between them even smaller as
Zetten has increased his speed 100 times
than what it was before. This allows him
to kill Paladins with ease unlike other
captains. For example, in chapter 360,
Lucius states Sisgoleon should have died
instantly to Morris and they are
completely struggling in the current
timeline as without multiple sacrifices,
they still wouldn't live. And Morris,
frankly, isn't stronger than Sister
Lily's Paladin form. Why, you may ask?
Well, she received Beelzebub, one of the
three kings of hell's full magic power.
Yet, her spells of spatial magic and
more cannot keep up with Asta's speed.
Bear in mind, Zenon said he is the best
and fastest spatial magic user in his
fight against Yuno when Finral and
Langris were helping out. This is
important as in Asta's initial fight
with Lucius, he tries to predict his
movements if you forgot. But, he isn't
fast enough and has a lapse of judgment
like Ryu mentioned earlier. However, now
with Zetten against Ichika, who scales
at the level of Paladins and mind you
also has a magic ability called Black
Star, where we are told it creates
vulnerabilities in any opponent. Asta
was able to predict what was required of
him to match her. This means his Zetten
against Lucius will penetrate his
defense and make up for his weaknesses,
especially since we see in chapter 360
Yuno is able to damage Lucius's Paladin
form and kill him. He's getting faster,
too. He becomes so fast that Lucius
thinks he must not be reading the future
quick enough. But, in reality, it's all
because of Asta's existence changing the
entire timeline. So, that means Asta's
speed with Zetten, of course, has to
match Yuno or be even faster to stand a
chance. Therefore, proving again Asta is
moving thousands of times faster than
light. As Yuno is instantly teleporting
with his star magic and using his wind
magic to pump his numbers up. However,
let's move on to Asta's strength with
Zetten. Firstly, keep in mind Asta
already scales at multi-continental
level. Lucifero was so powerful that it
was stated many times that his mere
existence would be the end of the entire
world. This scaling existed way before
his manifestation. As Licht's demon, was
stated to have enough power to wipe out
humanity, stated in chapter one. And
later on, against Lumiere, the first
Wizard King, with just a single spell,
Licht would obliterate the entire Clover
Kingdom if it was activated, in which
Zagred confirmed this that there would
be nothing left. Now, if you're
wondering, "Well, Asta knows other
demons, so that doesn't count." Well, if
we go even further back, such as Fana's
fire spirit, volume 16.5's data book
states that one swing from his talon has
enough heat to dry up an entire ocean.
This is enough power to destroy
countries, as even the Atlantic Ocean in
real life would require 239 petatons of
TNT to completely evaporate it. However,
funnily enough, Asta scales higher than
Salamander with only his black Asta
form, as he defeated Ladros, who
absorbed all of its power, having enough
attack potency to break through his
magic ability. I mean, he practically
made Ladros cry. So, as Black Clover's
story continues, Asta's power level has
to keep increasing to go way beyond
these characters, as he can defeat all
of them with ease, which makes sense of
Ryu stating that Lucius would not only
take over all the kingdoms, but even the
Hino Country. His level of power can
take over the entire planet with ease,
which only naturally means Asta's attack
potency has to increase once again to
stand a chance. This is why it makes
sense that Zetten was introduced to
increase Asta's power 100 times. From
Jack's ultimate attack in chapter 357,
we can see that he split the entire
kingdom in half, which destroyed an
angel. But since we have established
that Asta already scales thousands of
times higher than other characters, it
only goes to show why he is relied upon
instead of him. For example, we were
told Asta was the only one capable of
destroying Lucifer's full manifestation.
And even against the five-headed dragon,
he was needed. Ryu hedged all of his
bets on Asta being the only one capable
of destroying all five heads at once.
The only person that could possibly
match Asta's Zetten would be Yosuga, but
even then his Zetten doesn't cut through
magic itself, right? Which makes his
abilities far weaker than Asta's
anti-magic when paired up against the
Paladins. This means Asta's Zetten
technically scales higher than the rest
of the Ryuzen 7, making him the
strongest Zetten user in the world. Even
more evidence that Asta before even
unlocking Zetten was pretty much capable
of destroying entire countries. Just
take a look at Dorothy's Glamour World,
which allows her to create her very own
dimension kitted out with stars and a
[ __ ] solar system. In fact, whilst
Magna claims that Luck's statement of it
being endless is impossible, Elf Dorothy
does back him up stating that in the
Glamour World even the impossible is
possible. Later on in chapter 184, it is
confirmed that everything that is
manifested in the world is structured
physically and chemically the same way
they are in the outside world. Yami,
however, with his dimension slash
managed to destroy the world in just a
single slice. This feat is not exclusive
to just him, either. As we know, Asta
has based much of his fighting style off
his sensei to the point where he even
replicated his Equinox spell that
achieved this feat. Therefore, with his
anti-magic and most definitely with his
Zetten boost, Asta would annihilate
Dorothy's entire Glamour World, which is
endless like it's freaking child's play.
However, this helps explain how Asta
found it so easy to kill the five-headed
dragon with one swing, casually
splitting the sky across the entire Kino
Country in the process of using a Zetten
boosted attack. As a result, he became a
living legend as he matched the feat of
the person that created this ability in
the first place, and everyone in the
country witnessed him doing it as it
went across the entire landmass. So,
putting things into perspective, you can
clearly understand by now that Asta with
his Zetten is more than capable of
wiping the floor of every single magic
knight and captain on his own as they
scale thousands of times lower than him.
This is why Lucius confirms that in
every single timeline, only Asta and
Yuno stand a chance against him.
Everyone else would die. By now, Asta
has enough attack potency in his soul
that can technically destroy countries
and moon-sized planets in half. This
swiftly brings us to his defense. Asta's
Zetten has increased it even further,
but let's take a look at where it was
before he made it stronger. Against
Lucifero, it was stated that a single
attack from him would kill you according
to Yuno in chapter 322. Therefore,
through deduction, Asta already gained
the best speed in terms of durability
against Lucifero in comparison to any
other character. This is before Master
Devil Union. Now, instead of one punch
having the force to kill somebody, Asta
tanks four heavy attacks before he was
at death's door in comparison. Asta said
that one punch did so much damage that
it feels like he cannot move anymore,
and his eyes won't focus. This is
similar to what Ichika achieved, a
member of the Ryuzen Seven, when she
utilized her full blast Zetten and Asta
in chapter 340, where he almost blacked
out instantly and lost. This tells us
how powerful Zetten is, that it's making
a Ryuzen do a similar feat to Lucifero,
the King of Hell, as the power scaling
keeps increasing. In fact, Ichika's feat
is even greater because Asta had
mastered Devil Union at this point and
against Lucifero, he didn't. And must I
remind you that trash Pharaoh, when he
faced Master Devil Union, Asta was
taking punch after punch without even
having to flinch. He was pathetic. So,
thanks to perfect Devil Union, Asta can
now manifest anti-magic anywhere in his
body, meaning that he himself is now the
weapon. This basically makes him
indestructible as magic is now pointless
before him in this form. No matter how
many punches Lucifer tries to land,
thanks to Asta's buff body, he can take
it all as the magic dissipates upon
contact with him. However, since Zetten
is a new power concept, when Ichika
initially tests Asta, he states that his
anti-magic is taking the edge of the
attacks and blocks simple Yojutsu. So,
if it wasn't for this property of
anti-magic, chapter 340 insinuates he
would have been destroyed even sooner.
On the other hand, after mastering
Zetten, this is where the weakness in
his armor disappears. Chapter 348, he
destroys his weaknesses literally, not
having to be afraid of anyone, including
Lucius. Asta's weakness of physical
attacks has subsided and we know this
because the Paladin that faced him,
Yuno, had enough power to claim that he
would instantly die if Asta was touched.
However, since he has increased every
stat so high, he instantly reacts to him
and counters, destroying him in one
attack. In volume 23.5,
it showcases the events of the Conrad in
which Asta faces off against all of the
Black Bulls on his own at the same time.
This is before he had achieved the
imperfect Devil Union by a training with
Noa. Now, as you'd expect, Magnus flames
are fodder for Asta as he easily
deflects with his Black Divider. Luck,
Gauche, and Zora try to attack, but
again, Asta easily defends with his
Black Hurricane. Noelle tries to then
put her husband in place by unleashing
Sea Dragon's Roar, which amounts to
nothing as he smirks. Even when they
sync together and attack all at once,
Asta manages to parry them all away,
which is when Julius decided to
contribute by secretly coordinating the
attack of the Bulls through Finral's
magic. They all combined and Grey
converted Noelle's water to oil, which
Luck then set on fire with his magic,
forcing Asta into the air where Charmy
hit him with a surprise hit. This
strategy got them the win against Asta,
but as they revealed, it was actually
all thanks to the brilliant thinking of
Julius. However, Julius knows better
than anyone that an attack of this level
was the only chance they had against
this god. At this moment, Asta glazes
the Black Bulls in their skill, and
after using the Imperial Sword in the
movie, it gave him insight into the past
Wizard Kings. He found out that the
Black Bulls' teamwork to be reminiscent
of strategies used by them in battles,
declaring once again that these dudes
are actually the strongest squad in the
series, even all the way back then
before the time skip training even
occurred. Now, at that moment of time, a
sense of dread overcame Asta as a
massive black slash cut through the sky,
forcing Asta to gather all his remaining
strength to defend himself against Yami.
The captain of the Black Bulls proceeded
to explain that Asta's control over
anti-magic is too weak, leaving him wide
open, making his defense inconsistent.
Now, in the Hino Country, Ryu came to
the same conclusion. But after Asta's
mastery over Zetten, he claims in
chapter 366 he will no longer lose any
more fights. As he destroyed all his
weaknesses and fears whilst training, we
find out Asta's goal and what type of
Wizard King he wants to be in this
volume. He vows to battle the Black
Bulls again when he knows he can beat
them all at once at the same time. Now,
eventually, with more training after
defeating Lucifero, Asta mastered Devil
Union to an even more powerful level. He
is able to use it for an extended
duration of time. But
we all know what happens next. After
Lucius stole his childhood buddy and
booted his ass to the Hino Country, he
wanted more than anything else to get
stronger and beat Lucius. Luckily for
him, the Ryuzen Seven are here to help.
It's at this point in the story where
Asta is introduced to the Zetten
concept. Ryu explains that in the Hino
Country, a person's key is unconsciously
turned into magic. However, when someone
does this consciously, they can take
that energy and make it erupt in a
single part of their body, producing the
Zetten attack. Asta compares the process
to mana zones from Kingdoms, just in
this case using key as its basis and
then radiating it. He doesn't have any
magic, so he has to substitute it for
anti-magic. And in chapter 341, Asta
learns that this new technique can be
used in multiple different forms, such
as someone using 50% of their power in
two strikes, or evening it out to 20%
across five. Remember, Zetten is an
ability that the best of the best Yūtsu
users can spend years trying to master,
and they never do. Yet, only took Asta,
my goat, a few days just to do so,
proving that this dude and his hard work
is making him go to genius levels. Get
this, Yūsuke described Asta's Zetten as
the perfect counter to magic, so much so
it was able to return Paladins like
Yūral and Sister Lily to normal after
concentrating their ability into his
sword and striking them. So, Zetten not
only increases Asta's power 100 times,
but also allows him to further master
his anti-magic, granting him arguably
the most vital ability in the whole war.
This is the power to bestow anti-magic
onto other people. Everyone was so weak,
so bro, Asta had to make them like him.
Rill explains this concept to Asta in
chapter 367, that Zetten has allowed
Asta to make his anti-magic to a new
level. And therefore, he should be able
to use the Demon Dweller's properties on
people as a result. So, Asta creates the
ultimate Black Bulls team, making these
guys even stronger than before, despite
initially being on the brink of death.
Another moment that proved Asta is just
on a whole other level is when he makes
his grand entrance, forming all the aura
in the world against Damnatio, where he
uses Demon Destroyer to dispel Baal's
magic by creating his own mini
anti-magic zone. And then, get this, he
beats him in his base form without help.
That's why he's the goat. Zetten is the
thing which gives Asta the edge in
physical combat that Lucius pointed out
was his weakness. And in chapter 378, we
finally see Asta prove Lucius wrong. He
was able to cut through an entourage of
Lucius' clones and work hand-in-hand
with Yuno. Lucius even says that
together they are inherently surpassing
his prophecy of total victory. So, Asta
is so goated he nullifies fate itself.
At this point, he is easily the
strongest character in the series.
Lucifero, Lucius, any supreme devil
combined, or even the captains, they
would die in one attack against him.
Lucius had to steal all the magic in the
world just to stand a chance. Yes!
Yes!
Yes! Asta becoming the greatest wizard
king of all time is happening more than
ever. He's achieving a feat the other 32
never could. Mimosa states, "Asta, you
even turn former enemies into allies."
So,
why would anyone want Yuno to become a
wizard king instead again? Please remind
me in the comments cuz I don't know. Is
it even a race at this point for the
title? Because in my book, Asta has
out-lapped Yuno 10 times over. I mean,
Tabata even drew this artwork of Asta's
wizard king outfit and he's dripped the
[ __ ] out looking bossy. So, because of
all the people Asta united, Mimosa
finally reaches our MC to heal him
completely. But obviously, this takes
time and Yuno must buy more of it. Then,
we see Asta face planted on the floor.
Bro is cooked. Oh, no.
>> Mimosa states to fully heal Asta's
wounds, she needs to use ultimate magic.
But if she does that, the other injured
people would die. Asta definitely
wouldn't want to be the only person
saved, so it's a train tracks situation
in real time. However, due to Asta
changing the entire world by being the
patriarch of good and uniting the people
to respect commoners, they all realize
we are second. We are all NPCs and
trash. We're the [ __ ] people. No. Asta,
there's no way we can be more useful
than the future Wizard King. So they
tell Mimosa to heal Asta anyways as they
would gladly sacrifice themselves. Like
Damn. Look how far Asta has come. Bro
was a laughing stock at the Grim War
ceremony. He got treated like [ __ ] by
every other royal noble for being
magicless, and he even got framed for
murder. There is countless prejudice
against the dude throughout his journey,
but because he's so hard working and
selfless, making the world realize their
wrongs, now even the most elite squads
are stating that he's the most valuable
person on this side. Like, bro. It
brings a tear to my eye. That's why he's
the goat. The goat. Now, whilst this is
going down, this epic square-off occurs
between Yuno and Lucius on different
platforms. Yuno realizes that he is
terrified of Asta because he could not
predict any of his old enemies coming to
the war to take his side. But Lucius is
still confident he will win. He
showcases how the entire kingdom is
turned into rubble, and it will soon be
checkmate for Yuno when his anti-magic
will run out. We even see a collage of
every other character destroying the
angels. Keep in mind, these are buffed
ones ever since Lucius entity's final
form three chapters ago. That's why they
look more evil now. Langris using his
spatial nukes that delete space. Leon is
using the magic he trained in the heart
kingdom and more. And Mimosa's brother
are doing their thing. They remember the
past and all the words Asta said to them
about being better people. And as a
result, they resolved to keep destroying
the enemy over and over get stronger as
they even acknowledge Asta saying,
"You're him. You're the MC. You're the
one that has to kill Lucius and save us
all and become the Wizard King." Mimosa
then starts crying that she will fail
her future husband just like in the
Lucifer fight when Asta went to fight
even though he was half dead. She wasn't
able to heal him back then and that made
her feel worse than ever. However, guess
what? Uber Eats arrives with Charmy to
restore her mana with food. And with
this power up, Mimosa becomes a more
beautiful than ever revealing her
Princess Utopia spell. She heals Asta
completely to full health and just when
she's about to die, Asta gets up and
kills the bad guy so fast in the blink
of an eye that no one saw it coming.
Asta then forms all the aura in the
world with full rage that he's coming
for Lucius and will promise to kill it.
Asta regrouping with everyone after
being revived by Mimosa. They all become
top tier glazers. They're glad that
their future Wizard King pulled through.
Liebe apologizes that their devil union
became undone. His concentration and
willpower depleted when Lucius used
their mother Licita as a human shield
against them. This is what almost caused
their death, but Asta tells his brother
to shake it off and they've got this in
the bag. Lucius has taken over Heath's
Paladin and has Ryu the Shogun in his
clutches. Lucius admits that just like
Asta, Ryu was also a man he couldn't see
the future of since he is mana-less.
This caused him problems, but then he
asks why the interest in Asta. Now, in
typical villain fashion, instead of
finishing Ryu off and breaking his neck
in, I don't know, T-minus 0.1 seconds,
he doesn't go on a yap session. And
guess what he yaps about? It's pure Asta
glaze, giving us yet another moment
proving why people believe he has the
merit to become Wizard King. Ryu claims
that when he got his Tengetsu eye, he
had to give up all his magic. And in the
process, it was difficult to accept, and
it felt like he was giving up on the
dream he promised with his friends
Yosuga and Yami Sukehiro. Although, he
doesn't regret his decision at all. Now,
remember, in chapter 351, we learned why
the Shogun has no magic. As 17, Ryu
watched his homeland get torn apart by a
plague that preyed on the weak power.
His rival and friend Yosuga stood beside
him. And together, they swore a dream,
making a world where magic and rank
doesn't decide your worth, which is just
like Asta. So, knowing that this goal is
ever so difficult, Ryu needed a vice to
escape his cruel reality. And when he
was looking for Yami Sukehiro with his
eye, he came across Asta from Hage
Village. He was a boy with no magic that
he could relate to, which resulted in
Ryu deciding to keep an eye on him to
see where his story led. Eventually, he
realized Asta was the goat, as he was
someone that never gave up. He kept
getting stronger to protect people and
wasn't afraid to charge head first. He
saw Asta accomplish the impossible,
basically confirming that Ryu, he binge
read the entirety of the Black Clover
manga, just like us, and he became a
fan. And that gave Ryu strength and
courage to keep going. As a result, he
will not back up Lucius and his false
ideals of playing the Antichrist God. He
will follow Asta to the death. So,
hearing all of this, Lucius says, "I bet
I guess it's about time I break this
dude's neck." But, it's too late.
Yosuga, the most powerful of the Reuzan
Seven, saves the day. And he does a
Zetten attack, cleanly cutting Lucius's
head off. And things only go from bad to
worse for Lucius. Those tens of
thousands of timelines where he wins,
they're becoming meaningless. The one
singularity timeline where Asta wins is
coming true. Because whilst fighting
Yuno with anti-magic, my guy thinks he's
about to get the job done of killing
him. But, no. He gets blitzed. Yuno uses
Asta's black meteorite in combination
with his star conjunction magic, which
makes him even faster than before. This
lands a clean hit on Lucius, and he then
drops the sword back to his brother. The
goat returns at full power. And Lucius
once again resorts to cheap tactics. He
resurrects Asta's mother as a paladin.
But, this time the brothers of
destruction have strengthened their
resolve. They instantly killed their
fake mother in one shot. As Asta
declares that this fight is the final
battle. The chaos causes widespread
destruction throughout the Clover
Castle. And this is symbolic in many
ways. We see these guys do beautiful
choreography destroying the entire
palace, right? Oh oh, just look at him.
The water's at its peak. Now, what does
this all mean? Firstly, Lucius
proclaimed himself as the ultimate
wizard king. And the Clover Castle is
everything that title stands for. It's
the center of power in the kingdom, the
throne of hierarchy and authority, and
the very heart of his perfect world, is
where kings, nobles, and the so-called
chosen ones sit above everyone else,
looking down on others. Others like Asta
and Yuno. They're both the complete
opposites of everything Lucius stands
for. He wants a world where everyone is
the same, where no one has flaws or free
will. But Asta proves that those
imperfections are a strength. And Yuno
proves that equality that comes with a
noble like him working with a nobody
like Asta, it's actually the key to a
better world. And so, every strike of
Lucius that lands and destroys a pillar
of this palace, is just symbolic in a
sense that in front of Asta and Yuno,
the world that the royals had built, and
what Lucius strives for, it's basically
collapsing. The old world must crumble
to bring about a much-needed change. But
it will be Asta as the 29th Wizard King
that spearheads the next era of total
and true equality. And Loki, Lucius is
beginning to see that his vision could
be cooked. Because seeing Asta and Yuno
together, he realizes that they're
making each other both level up at a
rate that he can't keep up with. They're
becoming far stronger and faster than he
can manage. Which of course, all links
back to the Asta effect. But for now,
things go full insanity. Because Asta
and Yuno are moving so fast, they
literally vanish off the page. This is
some platinum sperm versus Garou-level
choreography. A constellation of
afterimages that no one can follow
proceeds. Lucius then starts shaking,
calling it a pain, because he can't keep
up. So, he plays dirty. He targets
innocent lives. After all, he doesn't
care. He can just resurrect everyone as
perfect clones anyway. He casts his
strongest spell. Hundreds of magic types
merging into one countrywide spirit
bomb, the Ganjuan ultimate magic united
forces. Everyone stares into the sky
realizing, "Oh my god, we're cooked.
We're about to die, bro." But guess who
finally steps up? Lefron
Vermillion. This man has done nothing
for 150 chapters. He got the fire spirit
salamander back in 2020, and he never
did a thing with it until now. He tells
Asta and Yuno, "Keep your eyes on
Lucius. Leave this to us." Then finally,
he activates spirit dive. Now, okay,
let's hold up. Why didn't he use this
earlier against Morris, the Paladins,
the angels, whilst people were dying and
begging for help? Well,
forget good writing. This is all right
and hype moments. Let him cook.
The fraud label is no longer there, and
he joins his sister Sisgoleon, who's
been fighting with hellfire incarnate
for what feels like 40 chapters
straight. And together, they try to stop
Lucius's spell, but they're not alone.
They call Leo. He remembers every moment
he was left behind, and now he finally
catches up. Paying homage to Goku,
Gohan, and Goten's Kamehameha, they
release a triple vermillion inferno, a
vortex of flames so massive, it
incinerates Lucius's world-ending magic.
And whilst that happens, Asta and Yuno
break reality together. Their fight
moves so fast that Lucius can't
regenerate anymore. He's still bleeding.
He doesn't even have the time to use
magic to heal himself. So then, our duo
enter flow state. One mind, one timing,
one purpose. Asta and Liebe become one,
whilst Yuno and Bell do too. So with
this new power up, they blast Lucius
straight through his own magic. And now,
Lucius shows something we've never seen
before. He's actually a freak. He knows
it, we know it. We're in the end game,
[ __ ] You witness Asta and Yuno break
reality together. Their fight moves so
fast, Lucius can't regenerate anymore,
and he's still bleeding. Asta and Liebe
become one, whilst Yuno and Bell do a
fusion as well, where their mind and
purpose become one. Their rivalry and
understanding of one another make each
other get stronger than ever before. And
they blast Lucius straight through his
own magic. We see Lucius afraid for the
first time, where his arms have ripped
apart. He acknowledges their true fusion
is working against him. The power scale
has gone way beyond anything Lucius ever
accounted for. By his own admission,
across tens of thousands of futures he
saw, a one verse one against them should
have been effortless. And yet, Lucius
keeps making the same mistake. He
doubles down on the idea that Yuno is
his true rival, claiming that Yuno never
would have reached this level without
Asta. And for the millionth time, he
repeats that no matter how strong they
become, you cannot win.
Are you serious right now, bro? Now, to
prove it, Lucius floods the battlefield
with an absurd number of beasts made
from every magic attribute imaginable.
Remember, Lucius absorbed every grimoire
from the tower, meaning his magic supply
is effectively limitless. But this is
where everything falls apart for him,
because Asta and Yuno clap back with
something he never understood. Power
alone has never defined the Wizard King.
They erase everything in their path
instantly. And then, the real
ideological kill shot lands right in his
face. Lucius declares himself humanity's
savior, yet not a single person
acknowledges him as their true leader.
Instead, Asta and Yuno state something
that has been true since the very
beginning of Black Clover. The Wizard
King is chosen by the people. The entire
world is watching this moment unfold
because Lucius, being the genius
himself, he's broadcasting it using
Marx's magic. Kings, civilians, magic
knights, and everyone witness who truly
stands for humanity. This has always
been the core of the story. Julius
wasn't respected because he was the
strongest. He was respected because
everyone believed in him. One of the
first things Asta asks Julius when they
first met was how to become Wizard King,
and he said it was to earn merit. And
Asta's entire journey from a magicless
peasant to the world's hope has been
about earning acknowledgement and not
demanding authority through power. This
mirrors the same principle Itachi Uchiha
explained to Naruto. It's never been the
one who becomes Hokage that will be
acknowledged by everyone. It's the one
who is acknowledged by everyone becoming
the Hokage. Because, of course, we live
in a democracy in this [ __ ] right? So,
Lucius, he basically wanted to rule
humanity from above as a dictator, not
giving any real freedom as this
Antichrist type figure. Whilst Asta and
Yuno stand among the people, changing
the world for better organically. We
then see the destruction of the country.
Their fight has them blitzing around
creating speed constellations in the sky
nonstop. Eventually, their teamwork
pulls through. Asta tanks a building,
and Yuno breaks through it to land an
attack. He then tells Lucius, "Bitch,
listen. You keep saying I'm your rival,
but you're not. Asta is, and he's the
one I want to surpass." Let's look back
from the very beginning in chapter 1.
Their rivalry was never built on hatred.
It was built on a promise. Two orphans
standing in a broken church swearing
that one of them would become the Wizard
King and that they'd force the other to
rise with them. Every step Yuno and Asta
took was about keeping up with the one
person who refused to leave them behind.
And this is where a bombshell is
dropped. Tabata truly glazed Yuno to a
next level in this final fight. Lucius
claimed that his magical power has
reached above ultimate. He has entered
the supreme realm, receiving his
acknowledgement. And we need to pause
there because that's just insane to
hear. This is the same Lucius who
absorbed Asta of 100% Lucifer, the power
of every other devil in hell, every
grimoire in the tower, and unified the
strength of the Dark Triad into himself.
Yet now you're telling me Asta and Yuno
have reached this level of power? That
means every other enemy is now
pre-mortal. They can annihilate all the
captains and magic knights combined with
zero effort because no way anyone is
beating Lucius besides these two. No one
can compete with them anymore. And I
think this ties into Asta's words. Asta
once said he doesn't want to become
Wizard King until he knows he can defeat
all the Black Bulls at the same time on
his own. Well, we can pretty much say
that's a fact now. But Lucius's
prejudice against our MC it doesn't stop
there. When Yuno declares that magic
power has nothing to do with why he
stands beside Asta, Lucius crashes out.
He completely snaps, going berserk,
flooding the battlefield with
overwhelming magic. Furious that Yuno
would deny the very hierarchy Lucius
worships. But guess what? Asta cuts
through it all and erases them from
existence, giving us a speech that
inspires everyone in the world. Asta's
answer to Lucius's
speech against the floor is not only
about himself, but for the people of all
classes to realize their wrongs. Asta
tells him that this is my life,
acknowledging the frustration, despair,
and suffering he endured because he had
no magic at all. But, Asta never once
asks for Lucius's salvation, and he sure
as hell never asks for someone else to
decide what his life was worth. Asta's
speaking for peasants, magic knights,
and everyone who's ever been crushed by
a system that decided they were lesser.
The entire world is watching as Asta
declares that even if the world is
imperfect, it still belongs to the
people living in it. He's stating that
imperfection isn't a flaw that needs
erasing. It's what gives life meaning in
the first place. That no single person
has the right to own or dictate
humanity's future just because they're
powerful enough to see it. And that
freedom, even when it leads to pain,
failure, or chaos, it's more important
than a safe world where every outcome is
decided for you. Asta would rather live
in a world that people can change and
have free will rather than a perfect one
that they're forced to obey. And after
this epic ass speech, Lucius gets
clapped by the duo for being a fraud, a
trash villain, and a loser. However,
he's not giving up yet. They start
flying across the entire country with
everyone recognizing Asta and Yuno. They
push them forward to keep going and beg
to save them. Yuno charges his arrow at
full blast, and Asta created the biggest
black sword we have ever seen. The demon
dweller reaches the sky and cuts Lucius'
beast in half like butter. Now, what
Tabata did here, since he did not have
enough pages to clearly finish his
manga, he tried his best to convey a
message. We see peasants, nobles,
royals, and magic knights finally
uniting in their glazing for Asta. They
all state, "We are counting on you." and
scream at the top of their lungs. Like,
we already know what this will look like
in the anime. It's going to be peak. The
opening music will be playing at full
blast, peak animation, and a payoff
that's going to make us bust nuts. Now,
with this encouragement, the duo keeps
surpassing their limit, catching up to
Lucius wherever he tries to escape. They
need one more move to win the fight, an
opening needs to be created. Because
right now, Lucius is stalling for time.
He knows their transformations have a
limit, and once they're gone, his
victory is secure. But Tabata, he said,
"Nah, I'm about to cook peak with
Noelle." I would say out of all the
characters, Noelle, just like Nacht,
actually got the best development. Every
one of her story threads completed
really well. She finally met her mother
and resolved that tragedy. She got
acknowledgement apologies and
reconciled with her family. She's
finally confident enough to confess love
to Asta, and now she has complete
control of her magic power. Because with
the anti-magic abilities Asta bestowed
her, she comes in clutch. We receive a
montage of her journey. Every single
moment which leveled up her control by
surpassing the psychological limitation
placed upon herself. She flies in,
double cheeked up on a Thursday
afternoon preparing an attack. This
definitely seems inspired from Vegeta
helping Gohan against Cell to create an
opening. Similarly, Noelle states,
"Since no one can keep up with them, she
then controls a anti-magic bullet with
such precision that like a homing
missile instilled with anti-magic, it
hits Lucius's core and cracks it giving
the opening her future husband needs to
win. As soon as the attack lands, Julius
appears to help as well leaving his twin
in place to be slammed at full power
splitting him in half to die. Now to
