[0:00] hello everyone and welcome back to my [0:01] channel [0:02] [Music] [0:08] it's time for another netflix [0:09] recommendation video i did this video [0:11] like two years ago if you want to see [0:13] part one i'll put a little eye right [0:15] here i'm gonna divide it the same way as [0:16] i did last time the first is comedy then [0:19] drama then like horror slash sci-fi then [0:22] crime and then like food shows this is a [0:25] list of 20 netflix tv shows and movies [0:28] that you guys can watch in the summer [0:29] i'm going to start off with comedy and [0:31] the first show for comedy is young and [0:32] hungry this show started in like 2015 [0:35] 2016 but this is a great show to cheer [0:37] you up it's like a very light comedy it [0:39] basically follows this girl who starts a [0:41] new job at this like fancy place as like [0:44] a personal chef to somebody and i'm not [0:46] gonna really spoil anything but it's [0:48] really interesting the dynamics that [0:50] play out while she's at this job and [0:52] it's a really good lightweight show to [0:53] watch at any time of the day so i [0:55] definitely recommend this one next is [0:57] everything sucks this is technically [0:59] like a dramedy but i'm just gonna put it [1:01] in the comedy because i have a lot in [1:02] the drama section this show takes place [1:04] in the 90s and it's a comedy about this [1:06] girl who moves into this new school and [1:08] the principal is her dad so there's a [1:10] really funny dynamic between them as [1:12] well as the new people that she meets at [1:15] the school there are romantic interests [1:16] in this show and it's really cool how [1:18] their relationships change this one is [1:20] really really good it has a very [1:21] specific aesthetic which i really enjoy [1:24] so definitely recommend this one this [1:25] next one is anola homes this one is [1:28] about a character obviously called enola [1:29] homes it's basically the sister of [1:31] sherlock holmes and it follows her story [1:34] of how she grew up next to him and her [1:35] relationship with her mother and [1:37] basically the whole show is her trying [1:39] to find her mother because she [1:40] disappeared one day it has its very [1:42] funny moments this is a little bit of [1:44] action too so i love this one okay this [1:46] is another show dramedy but i'm gonna [1:48] put it in the section this one's a [1:50] mouthful it's called the woman in the [1:51] house across the street from the girl in [1:53] the window i think i got that right when [1:56] you watch the first couple episodes you [1:57] think it's a dramatic mystery show then [2:00] i think towards the end you find out [2:02] that it's actually a comedy the comedy [2:04] comes from over dramaticizing very like [2:06] stereotypical things that happen in like [2:09] mysterious shows like a million people [2:11] die she suspects that so many people [2:13] killed her neighbor like it's so funny [2:16] because she goes through so many rounds [2:18] of like trying to figure things out and [2:20] the way it's shot is actually really [2:22] funny and i didn't really realize it was [2:24] a comedy until like a couple episodes in [2:26] i'm like wait this is there's no way [2:28] that she suspects like five people at [2:30] the same time like this is so funny it's [2:32] supposed to be like this parody show of [2:34] the women in the window it's a very like [2:36] over dramaticized comedic version of [2:38] that hence the very long name so yeah [2:40] this one is really funny i definitely [2:42] recommend it okay moving on to drama so [2:44] for the first show for drama is [2:46] obviously stranger things i already [2:48] mentioned this one in my last video but [2:50] i feel like i want to re-mention it [2:51] because a new season came out literally [2:53] today like i have to watch it this is my [2:55] absolute favorite show in the world if [2:56] you guys haven't catched up with [2:58] stranger things season 4 came out so i'm [3:00] very excited if you don't know what [3:02] stranger things is it's basically a show [3:04] that's set in the 1980s it's a show [3:06] following a group of kids and one of the [3:08] kids goes missing and they try to find [3:10] their friend that went missing everyone [3:12] in the town thinks somebody just like [3:13] kidnapped him or something happened but [3:16] there's a very underlying sci-fi [3:18] mysterious way of how this child [3:20] disappeared so it's really cool and [3:22] interesting and it sounds very different [3:24] from what the show is now in the first [3:26] season that's basically what it's about [3:27] so if you guys are interested definitely [3:29] watch this show the chilling adventures [3:31] of sabrina this one is a very like nice [3:34] show to watch around halloween time i [3:36] feel like i only watch it during [3:37] halloween time like i will wait a couple [3:39] of months even though it came out to [3:41] watch it around halloween time because [3:42] it's so nostalgically halloween for me [3:45] it's basically like another revamp of [3:47] sabrina the teenage witch follows her [3:49] and her family and how she's dealing [3:50] with being a witch but also being like a [3:52] high school student so it's basically [3:54] around the same synopsis as sabrina the [3:56] teenage witch but it's definitely [3:58] changed over time so i think there's [4:00] like three or four seasons up already i [4:02] think there's three so definitely watch [4:04] this one i think you guys were waiting [4:05] for this one squid games you've probably [4:07] heard of this show before it got really [4:09] big it's basically a show of a group of [4:12] people who live in korea and want to [4:14] earn more money addicted to gambling and [4:16] so they get into this very shady game to [4:19] win money and it just gets very [4:22] aggressive to say the least feel like i [4:24] can't say anymore without spoiling [4:25] anything i definitely recommend watching [4:27] it with just english subtitles because [4:29] it's all in korean i feel like it takes [4:31] away a little bit of like the acting [4:33] there's just something about hearing [4:34] like their actual voice that makes you [4:36] understand the show better i definitely [4:38] recommend watching it with english [4:39] subtitles another show that i was [4:41] obsessed with a year ago was the queen's [4:43] gambit it basically follows the story of [4:45] this girl who was in an orphanage and [4:48] became very good at chess she was sort [4:50] of this child prodigy in chess it's [4:52] really good i don't know what else to [4:54] say but yeah i definitely recommend [4:55] watching it this one is a movie it's [4:57] forrest gump it's on netflix uh i feel [4:59] like i just wanted to mention this i [5:01] feel like a lot of people know this [5:02] movie already but it's one of tom hanks [5:04] very famous movies and if you guys want [5:06] to catch up on an oldie it's on netflix [5:08] now so just wanted to mention it this [5:10] next one is called the society this is a [5:12] dramatic show about a group of kids who [5:15] go on a bus to go on a field trip and [5:17] they eventually come back to the town [5:19] and all of their family and friends are [5:21] missing you can watch it in like a day [5:22] so definitely recommend this show so [5:24] this next one is bergerton it's [5:26] obviously very popular any of you guys [5:28] haven't watched it what are you doing i [5:30] love the aesthetic in the show it's [5:32] beautiful it's like it's chef's kiss the [5:35] colors the costumes it takes place like [5:37] in the early 1800s it follows this girl [5:40] trying to find a husband in the social [5:42] season of the 1800s in london so yes i [5:45] love the show definitely watch it and [5:47] that is it for drama so i want to [5:49] mention a few documentaries here the [5:51] first one is called the social dilemma [5:53] you guys have probably heard about this [5:54] one it got really big but it's basically [5:56] about the actual impact that social [5:58] media has had in our politics and in our [6:01] world today how our phones are actually [6:03] tracking us the people actually talking [6:05] in this documentary are people who have [6:06] worked a very high profile companies so [6:09] i think it's good to know like what [6:11] exactly you're getting yourself into [6:12] living in your like day-to-day life so [6:14] definitely recommend watching this one [6:16] so this next show is called explained [6:18] basically a show with every episode [6:21] talking about a different topic and it [6:22] basically explains like the whole [6:24] backstory of that certain topic and how [6:26] it affects society how it came about it [6:29] talks about cults it talks about like [6:31] the impact of sugar in foods like it has [6:33] a very large range of topics to talk [6:35] about but but it's basically mostly like [6:37] scientific and the very specific like [6:40] aspects of that certain topic so it's [6:42] very cool and interesting i definitely [6:44] recommend this one i feel like i've said [6:46] that so many times this next one is how [6:48] to become a tyrant so this one is a good [6:50] like history lesson i love it talks [6:52] about like all of the tyrants that have [6:54] lived and gotten really popular and very [6:57] powerful within like human existence it [6:59] basically talks about how they became [7:02] that influential basically a huge [7:04] history lesson it's really good okay so [7:06] now moving on to the sci-fi horror crime [7:08] documentary part so this movie is really [7:10] interesting i just randomly found it on [7:12] netflix scrolling for like hours it was [7:14] really good and i decided to put it in [7:16] this video this one is called what [7:17] happened to monday and monday is the [7:20] name of a character it's a very [7:21] dystopian america society where you can [7:24] only have one kid and it's very strict [7:27] rules and how everybody is trapped and [7:29] very heavily surveillance this woman is [7:31] pregnant with seven kids so she had a [7:34] multiple birth which is insane seven [7:36] kids and they're all girls and they all [7:37] look exactly the same so what they [7:39] decided to do in order to stay with [7:41] their seven kids they decide to name all [7:43] of the kids each day of the week and [7:46] each day of that week that kid will go [7:48] out as like the only like kid of the [7:50] family so yeah definitely recommend this [7:52] one okay so moving on to the crime [7:54] documentary part of this the first one [7:56] is called night stalker i really had [7:59] huge nightmares about this one this one [8:01] is actually really scary because it [8:02] talks about like a specific event i get [8:05] so creeped out but i keep watching them [8:07] and i don't know why i keep putting [8:09] myself through this misery but it's so [8:11] good it's really interesting i love the [8:13] editing it's really creepy but it's [8:14] really good another one that's really [8:15] interesting and really good it's called [8:17] the vanishing of the ciso hotel this is [8:19] a hotel in la that is like really creepy [8:22] it's kind of like a motel now i think in [8:24] 2013 somebody disappeared there and it's [8:26] talking about that disappearance and how [8:28] it's really creepy it's a very [8:29] interesting watch so let me know if you [8:31] guys watch it this is another crime [8:32] documentary it's called the times square [8:35] it's basically a career that was on the [8:36] loose i think back in the 70s in times [8:38] square this guy kept getting away with [8:40] all these people and then at the end of [8:42] the day he got caught in a very silly [8:44] way so now i'm gonna move on to reality [8:46] food shows i have two reality shows this [8:49] one is a home organizing video so it's [8:51] very on brand for me this one is called [8:53] get organized the home edits so it's [8:55] basically a group of two girls who have [8:58] this company called the home edit and [8:59] they go to different people's houses and [9:01] they organize their entire house or like [9:03] a portion of their house and they have [9:05] like very high profile people they go to [9:07] so like there's this episode about like [9:09] them organizing reese witherspoon's [9:11] house and they can organize like an area [9:13] or a very specific area it has a very [9:15] big range very satisfying watching this [9:18] this show definitely influenced how i [9:20] organized this room right now i [9:22] definitely recommend this one so this [9:23] next one is called glow up it's a [9:25] reality show following a group of makeup [9:27] artists that have to go through [9:29] different rounds of makeup competitions [9:31] every episode they get rid of a makeup [9:34] artist and reduce the competition until [9:36] there's one final winner and that's [9:38] basically the winner of the specific [9:40] season and i think they have like two [9:42] seasons or three seasons so it's a lot [9:44] of bingeable worthy content so i [9:46] recommend it okay everyone so that's the [9:48] end of this video there were a lot of [9:49] shows in this video but i really hope [9:51] you guys found one that you at least [9:53] found interesting to watch leave it in [9:55] the comments down below any other shows [9:57] that you guys recommend for me to watch
