hello everyone and welcome back to my
channel
[Music]
it's time for another netflix
recommendation video i did this video
like two years ago if you want to see
part one i'll put a little eye right
here i'm gonna divide it the same way as
i did last time the first is comedy then
drama then like horror slash sci-fi then
crime and then like food shows this is a
list of 20 netflix tv shows and movies
that you guys can watch in the summer
i'm going to start off with comedy and
the first show for comedy is young and
hungry this show started in like 2015
2016 but this is a great show to cheer
you up it's like a very light comedy it
basically follows this girl who starts a
new job at this like fancy place as like
a personal chef to somebody and i'm not
gonna really spoil anything but it's
really interesting the dynamics that
play out while she's at this job and
it's a really good lightweight show to
watch at any time of the day so i
definitely recommend this one next is
everything sucks this is technically
like a dramedy but i'm just gonna put it
in the comedy because i have a lot in
the drama section this show takes place
in the 90s and it's a comedy about this
girl who moves into this new school and
the principal is her dad so there's a
really funny dynamic between them as
well as the new people that she meets at
the school there are romantic interests
in this show and it's really cool how
their relationships change this one is
really really good it has a very
specific aesthetic which i really enjoy
so definitely recommend this one this
next one is anola homes this one is
about a character obviously called enola
homes it's basically the sister of
sherlock holmes and it follows her story
of how she grew up next to him and her
relationship with her mother and
basically the whole show is her trying
to find her mother because she
disappeared one day it has its very
funny moments this is a little bit of
action too so i love this one okay this
is another show dramedy but i'm gonna
put it in the section this one's a
mouthful it's called the woman in the
house across the street from the girl in
the window i think i got that right when
you watch the first couple episodes you
think it's a dramatic mystery show then
i think towards the end you find out
that it's actually a comedy the comedy
comes from over dramaticizing very like
stereotypical things that happen in like
mysterious shows like a million people
die she suspects that so many people
killed her neighbor like it's so funny
because she goes through so many rounds
of like trying to figure things out and
the way it's shot is actually really
funny and i didn't really realize it was
a comedy until like a couple episodes in
i'm like wait this is there's no way
that she suspects like five people at
the same time like this is so funny it's
supposed to be like this parody show of
the women in the window it's a very like
over dramaticized comedic version of
that hence the very long name so yeah
this one is really funny i definitely
recommend it okay moving on to drama so
for the first show for drama is
obviously stranger things i already
mentioned this one in my last video but
i feel like i want to re-mention it
because a new season came out literally
today like i have to watch it this is my
absolute favorite show in the world if
you guys haven't catched up with
stranger things season 4 came out so i'm
very excited if you don't know what
stranger things is it's basically a show
that's set in the 1980s it's a show
following a group of kids and one of the
kids goes missing and they try to find
their friend that went missing everyone
in the town thinks somebody just like
kidnapped him or something happened but
there's a very underlying sci-fi
mysterious way of how this child
disappeared so it's really cool and
interesting and it sounds very different
from what the show is now in the first
season that's basically what it's about
so if you guys are interested definitely
watch this show the chilling adventures
of sabrina this one is a very like nice
show to watch around halloween time i
feel like i only watch it during
halloween time like i will wait a couple
of months even though it came out to
watch it around halloween time because
it's so nostalgically halloween for me
it's basically like another revamp of
sabrina the teenage witch follows her
and her family and how she's dealing
with being a witch but also being like a
high school student so it's basically
around the same synopsis as sabrina the
teenage witch but it's definitely
changed over time so i think there's
like three or four seasons up already i
think there's three so definitely watch
this one i think you guys were waiting
for this one squid games you've probably
heard of this show before it got really
big it's basically a show of a group of
people who live in korea and want to
earn more money addicted to gambling and
so they get into this very shady game to
win money and it just gets very
aggressive to say the least feel like i
can't say anymore without spoiling
anything i definitely recommend watching
it with just english subtitles because
it's all in korean i feel like it takes
away a little bit of like the acting
there's just something about hearing
like their actual voice that makes you
understand the show better i definitely
recommend watching it with english
subtitles another show that i was
obsessed with a year ago was the queen's
gambit it basically follows the story of
this girl who was in an orphanage and
became very good at chess she was sort
of this child prodigy in chess it's
really good i don't know what else to
say but yeah i definitely recommend
watching it this one is a movie it's
forrest gump it's on netflix uh i feel
like i just wanted to mention this i
feel like a lot of people know this
movie already but it's one of tom hanks
very famous movies and if you guys want
to catch up on an oldie it's on netflix
now so just wanted to mention it this
next one is called the society this is a
dramatic show about a group of kids who
go on a bus to go on a field trip and
they eventually come back to the town
and all of their family and friends are
missing you can watch it in like a day
so definitely recommend this show so
this next one is bergerton it's
obviously very popular any of you guys
haven't watched it what are you doing i
love the aesthetic in the show it's
beautiful it's like it's chef's kiss the
colors the costumes it takes place like
in the early 1800s it follows this girl
trying to find a husband in the social
season of the 1800s in london so yes i
love the show definitely watch it and
that is it for drama so i want to
mention a few documentaries here the
first one is called the social dilemma
you guys have probably heard about this
one it got really big but it's basically
about the actual impact that social
media has had in our politics and in our
world today how our phones are actually
tracking us the people actually talking
in this documentary are people who have
worked a very high profile companies so
i think it's good to know like what
exactly you're getting yourself into
living in your like day-to-day life so
definitely recommend watching this one
so this next show is called explained
basically a show with every episode
talking about a different topic and it
basically explains like the whole
backstory of that certain topic and how
it affects society how it came about it
talks about cults it talks about like
the impact of sugar in foods like it has
a very large range of topics to talk
about but but it's basically mostly like
scientific and the very specific like
aspects of that certain topic so it's
very cool and interesting i definitely
recommend this one i feel like i've said
that so many times this next one is how
to become a tyrant so this one is a good
like history lesson i love it talks
about like all of the tyrants that have
lived and gotten really popular and very
powerful within like human existence it
basically talks about how they became
that influential basically a huge
history lesson it's really good okay so
now moving on to the sci-fi horror crime
documentary part so this movie is really
interesting i just randomly found it on
netflix scrolling for like hours it was
really good and i decided to put it in
this video this one is called what
happened to monday and monday is the
name of a character it's a very
dystopian america society where you can
only have one kid and it's very strict
rules and how everybody is trapped and
very heavily surveillance this woman is
pregnant with seven kids so she had a
multiple birth which is insane seven
kids and they're all girls and they all
look exactly the same so what they
decided to do in order to stay with
their seven kids they decide to name all
of the kids each day of the week and
each day of that week that kid will go
out as like the only like kid of the
family so yeah definitely recommend this
one okay so moving on to the crime
documentary part of this the first one
is called night stalker i really had
huge nightmares about this one this one
is actually really scary because it
talks about like a specific event i get
so creeped out but i keep watching them
and i don't know why i keep putting
myself through this misery but it's so
good it's really interesting i love the
editing it's really creepy but it's
really good another one that's really
interesting and really good it's called
the vanishing of the ciso hotel this is
a hotel in la that is like really creepy
it's kind of like a motel now i think in
2013 somebody disappeared there and it's
talking about that disappearance and how
it's really creepy it's a very
interesting watch so let me know if you
guys watch it this is another crime
documentary it's called the times square
it's basically a career that was on the
loose i think back in the 70s in times
square this guy kept getting away with
all these people and then at the end of
the day he got caught in a very silly
way so now i'm gonna move on to reality
food shows i have two reality shows this
one is a home organizing video so it's
very on brand for me this one is called
get organized the home edits so it's
basically a group of two girls who have
this company called the home edit and
they go to different people's houses and
they organize their entire house or like
a portion of their house and they have
like very high profile people they go to
so like there's this episode about like
them organizing reese witherspoon's
house and they can organize like an area
or a very specific area it has a very
big range very satisfying watching this
this show definitely influenced how i
organized this room right now i
definitely recommend this one so this
next one is called glow up it's a
reality show following a group of makeup
artists that have to go through
different rounds of makeup competitions
every episode they get rid of a makeup
artist and reduce the competition until
there's one final winner and that's
basically the winner of the specific
season and i think they have like two
seasons or three seasons so it's a lot
of bingeable worthy content so i
recommend it okay everyone so that's the
end of this video there were a lot of
shows in this video but i really hope
you guys found one that you at least
found interesting to watch leave it in
the comments down below any other shows
that you guys recommend for me to watch
