[00:00] Donald Trump certainly just left some people speechless at the United Nations, talking about a potential foreign Iran deal, changing the name of artificial intelligence, bashing the Cubans so much so that they got up and walked out all right in front of the
[00:16] president of Iran, who's sitting there looking like totally shell-shocked the whole time. Man, this was a show. Let's break down exactly what Donald Trump said. So, here's the scoop. Donald Trump just moments ago at the United Nations, there's Sarah Eisen, by the way, had the following to say.
[00:33] He says that U.S. real household incomes are at the highest level in history. Real is inflation adjusted. This does not break it down by race, as there are obviously racial disparities.
[00:45] But he is correct. Real household income in the United States has just hit all-time highs, now surpassing that 2019 peak. back when Jerome Powell told us that monetary policy is finally broadly benefiting all Americans Donald Trump says then that we have reached the lowest murder rate in history This is a little bit more mixed but we are on the right trend
[01:11] First of all, it's worth noting there was this weird bump during COVID. I show this chart, which ends in 23, just to show you that we had a bump right after COVID. The murder rate went up. People lost their mind. I don't know how murder was measured here.
[01:24] But anyway, the NPR publication, which Donald Trump doesn't like very much, NPR actually admits that U.S. murder rate as of June 30th of 26 approaches a record low,
[01:37] that there were some years in the 1950s that we had a slightly lower murder rate. But it is true that our murder rate has been dropping. The murder rate in 2026 has fallen 18.7% in the first four months of the year.
[01:49] And if that pace continues, we will have the lowest murder rate in history, with all violent crime down 6.4%. So, he's actually not too off on some of these stats, but so far, so good.
