[00:00] In this video, I'm going to show you how to create eye-catching Pinterest pins like these using Canva. Now go ahead and open Canva. I've dropped the link in the description, or you can just type canva.com in your browser. Once you're in, click on create a design on the
[00:14] left and search for Pinterest pin. You'll see a couple of size options. The first one is 2 to 3 and the second is 9 to 16. I'm going with a 2 to 3 ratio for this tutorial. You should now see a blank canvas and maybe some template suggestions on the side. We're building this from scratch,
[00:30] so just close that for now. Let's start with the big number we saw. In our case, it was 19. Click text on the left, then hit add a text box and type 19. You can adjust the size by dragging
[00:43] the corner or using the font size option on top. Now let's change the font. Pick something bold and attention-grabbing. I'm going with this one, but feel free to use what fits your vibe. Once that's done, change the color by clicking on the text color icon.
[01:02] And for a little extra pop, go to Effects, choose Outline, and adjust the thickness using the slider. Now let's add the next word.
[01:17] Add a text box, type the word, Increase the size and position it where it looks good. Pick your color. To make the text a little more interesting, you can play with text effects.
[01:33] Now let's add the next word. Repeat this for any other words or phrases in your pin
[01:56] For example, I'll use the splice effect for one of the words. Gives it a nice modern touch. You can also change the effect colors to match your brand.
[02:12] Alright, now let's add a graphic element to spice things up.
[02:33] Go to Elements on the left and in the search bar, type Money. Under Graphics, click See All. Choose one you like. There are both free and paid options. I'll go with a free one for this example.
[02:48] Click to add it to your canvas, then resize and move it into place. One last thing. If you're planning to post this on Pinterest, I highly recommend adding your website name
[03:02] or handle. Just add another text box, type your URL, and place it somewhere clean and visible.
[03:14] I usually go with the bottom left corner. And that's it, your Pinterest pin is ready to go. Just click on share button and then download, save it to your computer, and you're all set to post.
