## Summary

This video presents a curated list of free Chrome extensions that are essential for YouTubers and content creators. The extensions cover various needs, including new tab customization, content management, workflow automation, dark mode, focus tools, and screenshot utilities. The presenter highlights the key features, benefits, and minor drawbacks of each extension, providing practical insights for creators looking to enhance their productivity.

### Key Points

- **Free Extension for New Tab Customization** [00:00] — A free extension transforms the boring new tab into a customizable dashboard, allowing users to manage content, track progress, and use a to-do list.
- **YouTube Analytics at a Glance** [00:25] — The extension provides a quick view of the last 90 days of a channel's performance, including video success and upload days, when on the YouTube videos tab.
- **Quick Links and Docs** [01:09] — The extension includes a doc for quick links to jump to any website, and a tutorial is available for setting up your own API key, though it is a bit technical.
- **Creator Dashboard Alternative** [01:37] — This extension is free and serves as a YouTube Studio dashboard, similar to Creator Dashboard, with a focus on shorts creators and metrics beyond just views.
- **Cross-Channel Use and Settings** [02:05] — The extension can be used across multiple channels, but the presenter dislikes the logo and had to figure out how to turn off a blue button in settings.
- **Color Picker Extension** [02:31] — A color picker extension allows users to sample colors from any webpage and automatically copies the hex code to the clipboard, useful for design work in Canva or Photoshop.
- **Tab Group Workflow Launcher** [03:01] — A tab group workflow launcher lets users set up and launch groups of browser tabs with a few clicks, saving time when preparing for live streams or other recurring tasks.
- **Export and Share Stacks** [03:44] — Stacks can be exported and shared with a team, and setting up a stack involves naming it, choosing a color, and adding titles for each tab.
- **Workflow Use Cases** [04:23] — The presenter uses the launcher for YouTube live streaming workflows, opening all communities with one click, but notes the need to use import/export for multiple computers.
- **Dark Reader for Screen Glare** [04:48] — Dark Reader is recommended for reducing glare on glasses during recordings or live streams, though settings can be janky and the dark mode might be too intense.
- **Google Docs Dark Mode** [05:41] — For users who find Dark Reader too dark, Google Docs Dark Mode is an alternative that grazes everything down, but may also be too intense.
- **Lofi Girl Extension** [05:55] — The Lofi Girl extension includes a Pomodoro timer, to-do list, and built-in ambient sounds, but lacks a feature to prevent getting tired of the sound.
- **Screenshot YouTube** [06:52] — Screenshot YouTube allows taking screenshots of the entire page or cropping within the YouTube player, simplifying the process of capturing video references.
- **Downside of Screenshot YouTube** [07:31] — The only downside is that screenshots may not look as good if YouTube is set to 4K, but it gets the job done.
- **Paid Extensions Mention** [07:43] — The presenter mentions that there are also amazing paid extensions and tools for creators, with links provided in the description.

### Conclusion

The video offers a practical roundup of free Chrome extensions that can significantly improve a YouTuber's workflow, from analytics and customization to productivity and design. While each extension has minor drawbacks, they collectively provide substantial value for creators looking to streamline their processes.

And even a doc for quick links to quickly jump to any website that you want. so if you have any features
The downside of this extension is, is that you can use your own API key. there's a tutorial when you set it up.
but it is a little technical just so you know. just like Creator Dashboard, it's free your YouTube Studio dashboard.
the Creator Insider videos or anything else, that's marked targeted towards shorts creators. instead of just views, which I think is a nice touch.
you can also use this across your channels I personally don't like that their logo It also took me a little bit to figure out
but if you find yourself in that situation, and going into the settings. because I figured out how to turn the blue button off.
over your YouTube Studio page. so have you ever been on YouTube I would really like to use that.
drop it into Canva or Photoshop This fixes all that. click the pick a color button, sample the color.
it automatically copies it to your clipboard. that I don't have any complaints at all about this one. and this one is a tab group workflow launcher.
and it ended up being way more useful than I anticipated. to our live studio every Saturday I have to set up all of these different browser tabs
and it took a while to get everything set up. I can set everything up within two or three clicks. and you launch the workflow that you want.
and you can export your stacks to share with your team It's really easy to set up a stack or a launch group All you have to do is you give the stack a name,
and then there you give each stack a title. especially if you're gonna be dragging things around You choose a color for your stack and then you put in
From there, you can edit these anytime that you want to click on whichever workflow you prefer Different ways to use this.
for my YouTube live streaming workflow I just hit the button, it opens up all my communities, The downsides of this,
so because of that, you need to use the import export feature if you don't wanna set it up again on the other machine.
if you're gonna be doing this on multiple computers. Next up is Dark Reader. when you're recording videos or you're live streaming,
will put some type of glare into your glasses, you might find that having those pages open because in addition to the regular light that you use,
'cause of all the white on the screen than you had anticipated. The downside of this, I was gonna say the dark side,
The settings are a little janky, Overall, it's solid. because Dark Reader can be pretty dark.
if you use that, that just kind of graze everything down, That one is called Google Docs Dark Mode, ends up being a little bit too intense and too dark for you.
Now, if you are familiar it's a huge YouTube channel that is partly responsible Their extension has a Pomodoro timer, a to-do list,
and one of the things that I personally like about this one they have built-in background sounds that you can listen to, all kinds of ambient sounds.
The Lofi Girl extension also has For the downsides of this, for what it's being used for, it would be great if they had a feature in there
So for people that are sitting at their desk not get tired of the sound that you're listening to. Hmm.
Screenshot YouTube. to reference in another video the previous process is you have to screenshot
or take it into additional software to crop it down. With screenshot YouTube. and it's gonna take the screenshot
The best part about this one inside of the YouTube player. the entire page and crop things down.
but if you have your YouTube setting set to 4K, The only downside that I have with this one it just doesn't look as good
But really, when it comes to getting the job done, Now There's also some really amazing paid extensions and 1of10 that are also really helpful for creators.
