> Source: [Is Saylor About to Sell $1 Billion in Bitcoin?](https://youtube.com/watch?v=xDJbN1uYRUM)

## Summary

This video analyzes the viral claims that Michael Saylor's Strategy (MicroStrategy) is about to sell $1.25 billion in Bitcoin. The creator argues that after reading the actual press release, the move is the opposite of bearish: it's a confident, bullish strategy involving a $2 billion cash reserve that covers STRK payments for 17 months. The video also discusses Bitcoin's strong $60K support, the upcoming October cycle inflection point, and the emerging AI narrative in crypto.

### Key Points

- **Saylor selling panic goes viral** [00:01] — Posts from Anon, Arkham, and Calshi claim Saylor approved the sale of up to $1.25B in Bitcoin to fund Strategy's USD reserve, sending fear through the market.
- **Bitcoin fragile around $60K** [00:28] — Bitcoin has dropped to the 60K level, fluctuating between 58K and 60K, making the market vulnerable to news.
- **Cascade sell-off fears** [00:54] — Analysts fear a $1B sale could trigger a cascade to $40K or lower, forcing MicroStrategy to sell even more Bitcoin in a downward spiral.
- **Analyst doom predictions** [01:35] — Well-known macro analyst Andy, Dr. Profit, and No Limit predicted Saylor would be forced to sell lower and lower to protect his USD reserve.
- **Reality is bullish, not bearish** [02:16] — After reading the actual press release, the creator concludes it is incredibly bullish and the exact opposite of the headlines.
- **Permission to sell, not a sale** [02:44] — The release authorizes the option to sell up to $1B in Bitcoin if needed, while also confirming over $2B in cash raised to cover STRK payments for 17 months.
- **Key worry resolved** [03:10] — The $2B cash raise addresses the main fear that STRK could not afford payments, meaning no need to sell Bitcoin for at least 17 months.
- **Five major strategy changes** [03:51] — Changes include an emergency cash reserve, permission to sell Bitcoin, ability to buy back debt and stock, and active management of interest rates to strengthen the balance sheet.
- **Sale threat is a confidence play** [04:05] — The selling permission is meant as a threat to inspire market confidence, not an actual plan, since the company prefers to buy back debt and stock.
- **Positive analyst reaction** [05:27] — Bitcoin Archive praised the move, saying the 17-month dividend coverage makes $100K Bitcoin highly probable and the debt will be paid off in the next bull run.
- **Price dips but sentiment shifts** [05:39] — Bitcoin briefly dropped to 58K from 60.6K, but the market is starting to realize the news is not as bad as headlines suggest.
- **Strong 60K support** [06:06] — The 60K level has held through multiple negative news cycles, suggesting bears may not be able to push it lower.
- **October is the key date** [07:00] — The next major cycle inflection point is October, when sentiment is expected to flip from bearish to bullish.
- **Bears often miss the bottom** [07:13] — Historical examples show bears calling for sub-10K during 2022's 16K low, missing the actual entry; DCA is a better strategy.
- **Altcoin opportunities** [08:33] — Junk alts are dying, but profitable companies with institutional appeal like Hyperliquid and Tao are at heavy discounts and offer buying opportunities.
- **AI becomes crypto's next narrative** [09:26] — AI-adjacent crypto projects, especially decentralized AI, are emerging as the next big wave, particularly with crackdowns on centralized AI and strong open-source models.

## Transcript

billion dollars worth of Bitcoin and crash the market? This post from Anon says Saylor is about to dump 1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin, not looking good. This post from Arkham says Saylor is selling Bitcoin. Saylor's approved
the sale of up to 1.25 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin to fund strategies USD reserve. And this post from Calshi says, "Just in, Michael Saylor strategy has approved selling 1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin." A lot of people seem to really
dump over a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin onto the market. And this has a lot of people really concerned because the market right now is pretty fragile. We have dumped all the way down to the 60K level and been barely holding on.
Sometimes Bitcoin has dumped down to 58K, come back up to 59K, come back up to 60K, and then, you know, it's kind of fluctuating between those zones. And so, if Michael Saylor really does sell over a billion dollars of Bitcoin, this has a
lot of people worried. This could be the nail in the coffin that really sends Bitcoin's price lower. And what people are extra concerned about is the cascade effect that can ensue. Imagine if Michael Saylor sells a billion dollars
in Bitcoin, and this causes the price of Bitcoin to drop down to $40,000 or $45,000 or whatever. And this causes even more bearish appetite for causing them to sell off further, causing MicroStrategy to have to sell
even more Bitcoin, and then it just goes lower and lower and lower, eventually sending Bitcoin's price, I guess, to to zero or, you know, whatever the seem over the top, but this is really what people are saying. This is Andy,
really well-respected macro analyst, saying, "This means unless Bitcoin company." This is Dr. Profit saying, "Now watch this. Saylor dumping Bitcoin to protect his stock and pay out the dividends. And watch what happens when
the market forces him to sell lower and lower as the market forced him to sell. realize the amount of Bitcoin he has to sell to protect his USD reserve of 1.25 billion. This is No Limit saying,
selling up to 1.25 billion of Bitcoin to build a USD reserve. The man who built his entire identity on never selling is now selling." But, when I dove into the actual strategy release and all the materials around it, it wasn't at all
what most people were saying that it was. In fact, my conclusion after actually reading the press release is that it's literally the exact opposite of what most people are claiming it to be. As in, everyone is freaking out
thing that Michael Saylor is going to sell a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin, when in reality, this was actually an incredibly bullish press release. That's not at all what it seems like on the surface. What the actual strategy press
release says is not that they're selling $1 billion worth of Bitcoin. It's saying that they now have the ability to, or the permission to, if needed, sell $1
billion worth of Bitcoin. And even more importantly than that, that they have raised over $2 billion in cash to cover payments for STRC holders for the next 17 months. And this is a really, really big deal because this is why everyone
was worried STRC was selling off. People were worried, how is Saylor going to be able to afford these payments to these STRC holders? That was the big worry. That was what everyone was scared about with the whole like the Ponzi's going to
unravel. And now Saylor has raised over $2 billion in cash to cover these Meaning, for the next 17 months, Saylor has literally nothing to worry about. There's absolutely no reason for him to need to sell Bitcoin for at least 17
months. And understand really the difference, before this, the strategy behind MicroStrategy was basically they would raise money by usually selling money to go buy Bitcoin, and then they would never sell the Bitcoin. It was
really simple business model. The big five changes they made with this new big emergency cash reserve for situations like this. That's where the 2.5 billion dollars comes into play. The second thing is they can now sell their
Bitcoin if they need to. Ideally, they don't want to sell the Bitcoin. It's really more of a threat on the board that hey, if we need to, we're going to to give confidence to the market so people know that hey, if we need to,
we're going to do this, but obviously, ideally, they shouldn't do that at all you could tell this is more of a threat to inspire market confidence by the added to the list, which is that they can buy back their own debt and buy back
it's basically meant to be a triple threat to inspire other people to go buy do it. They don't want to go buy back their stock and have to do these things. we're going to front run this. We're going to go buy back these things and
thing. Because participants now know they might take some of that money and stocks, which would put push up the price. Or just, you know, for sure pay- payments because they have the cash
stock. And then the last thing that they added was that they'll actively manage market's doing really good, maybe the interest uh rate goes down. If the interest rate goes up. And so, ideally, even over the next 17 months, uh that
cash will cover a lot longer than that because if the market turns around, uh they should have no problem with STR C going up, MSTR going up. Usually, these they go down in a bear market. And so, they could lower interest to kind of
from Bitcoin Archive saying strong move by Saylor and team. Cash reserves now support 17 months of dividends. High probability Bitcoin will be 100K by so, the biggest short-term overhang of
to the market and now 17 months of coverage. This doesn't mean moving Bitcoin, but puts in a stronger floor. The debt will get paid off in the next bull run. And you can see on the news uh Bitcoin's price was at 60,600,
and it dropped all the way down to a low of 58,000 it does even seem right now that the market is starting to realize this isn't the bad news that it seems like with all the headlines going around. And I want
to double down and just say that it really does or it really is super impressive how strong this 60K floor has been. Obviously, we've been dipping down here a couple times. But, we've held this general range of 60K now on some
pretty negative news cycles. And it does really seem like if the bears can't break through here, then what is going to enable them to break down to the 40K calling for. This does go to support the idea that maybe those shelling points
at the start and finish, but maybe a little bit more blurry and weak in the middle as you can see kind of playing out right now with the bears really unable break free of this 60K level despite,
you know, a pretty good whirlwind of negative news that to rally around. And already, and we're just going to see Bitcoin either chop or slowly trend higher into October. And really, the
next date to watch is October because that's the next big shelling point for the 4-year cycle. By that point, everyone knows that the cycle's up. They That's the point you stop selling. And so, you should see a pretty good
coordinated effort uh to for everyone to flip bullish from bearish to bullish around that timeframe and really see Bitcoin's price start to climb higher. I every crypto bear market, there is bears calling for lower than we go. You know,
when we were at 16K uh in 2022, I remember bears saying, "Hey, we're going to go down to sub 10K. We're going to go down to sub 5K." I mean, the bears get unhinged because the the right at the start of it, right? And that confidence
arrogance of like uh you know, I'm I'm so right. We're going way lower than you you know they're really a little bit more biased towards the going lower point but most of the time the Bears end up missing the entry point because they
end up calling for too low and then by the time that they realize you know it's that they they get nervous and then you know they stay out the whole bull market that kind of plays to both sides that it's just really hard to time the bottom
bottom and the best strategy usually is to DCA in and so you know if you think bit don't you know you don't have to go all in you can just put a little bit into the market and then a month from now put a little bit more and just kind
of separate it into fourths or eighths or whatever you think is wise for you really hard to time the market but we do know who's historically during these time periods that is when you have the best opportunities for entry for a lot
of these alts and I I think this time around a lot of these alts you're going to see a lot of the junk die away we already kind of have I've never seen as this past bear market which is really healthy for
environment because there is just way too much junk in crypto but we do have some really good profitable companies that are doing some amazing things and heavy discount right now and probably really good buying opportunity and those
up in the bear market cuz you're just not going to see prices like that at any point during the next couple years usually after this point as the market just kind of climbs overall higher and I would say probably the best ones are the
ones that have the most institutional appeal so things like hyper liquid things like Tao some of these bigger caps really are primed for for potentially a pretty decent move up if they can get that institutional appeal
because we have the door wide open for these altcoin ETFs and then in my opinion anything kind of AI adjacent that has any sort of legitimacy also is going to be really appealing over this next leg of the cycle as AI just really
reaches like um some sort of climax. I think probably over the next four or five years where people can just get really blown away by how amazing AI is, especially at the current rate we're going. If I think
where it is today, it's night and day. years people are not blown away by AI, which means AI I think it it crypto is going to become more of an AI story than it is like a DEX story um a blockchain
important, but they're kind of like important in the past, right? We built looking towards the future. What are people going to really use this for? coins. We have some of those with hyperliquid. Uh but I think AI
decentralization around AI is emerging as potentially the next big wave for crypto, especially with the crackdown on Fable, the crackdown on uh ChatGPT 5.6, and then how good these decentralized um are these open-source models are
getting. I think there's a really big case for uh that being a huge wave of the cycle. Regardless, it's a countdown until October. Uh you can place your none of this is investment advice. None of this is me telling you to do anything
