home for the holidays not a new concept but it means something a little different this year and honestly it's probably about time it did between all the seasonal obligations we put on ourselves and all the added challenges we face this year the holidays seem more like a deadline than well a holiday remember the magic of the season when you were a kid no stressing over perfection kids don't care about that stuff they care about presents and santa and all that decorating but it was so much more than that it was hanging out with the cousins you haven't seen in a while no school or anywhere else to be it was the wonder of it all really this year why not let yourself have that again make new traditions take a snow day free up that calendar and pencil in some you time me time we time focus on doing what you love with the ones you love whatever that means to you this year especially if it's slowing down and enjoying a new pace for the holiday season and don't worry about the inevitable messes that will happen along the way those can wait we'll be there just like we've been there for the last hundred years to clean up when you need us
