[00:02] how do you get so much done? And my answer is that I stay productive. So, in today's video, I want to give you my honest opinion. My secret sauce is not motivation. My opinion is that motivation comes and goes. Like some [00:16] days I'll feel focused, other days not so much. Like I feel like that's normal. But listen, I just want to share this with you. It's been one simple habits that's made a huge difference in my life to stay productive even when I'm not [00:30] to believe it because it's something just so extremely basic. I use a daily checklist. Like that's my secret sauce. By using a checklist, it gives me structure, it gives me consistency and [00:46] clarity in my day. And I just want to say that I think one of the biggest mistakes that people make is waiting to feel motivated before taking action. And again, this is just my opinion. I believe that motivation is just [01:01] unreliable. Like I've noticed that well, your motivation is going to change mood, you know, my level of stress, sleep, you know, my level of stress, sleep, distractions, emotions, your energy [01:15] levels. Like if you only work hard when you feel inspired or at the top of your game, then yeah, your progress is going to be going to feel like that, at the top of your game or, you know, at your very [01:27] best. So, you might have one productive day and then lose momentum for, let's just say the next 3 days afterwards. But then the thing is that you already know that making progress in just about anything is all about just consistency. [01:42] I've personally observed, that productive people usually create more structure in their daily lives. You know, instead of waking up and wondering like what should I work on today, they already know. Like there's a plan, [01:56] there's organization, there's a direction. And that reduces your mental friction. And when you write down clearly in front of you what you need to get done today, it becomes easier to take action even when you don't feel [02:09] motivated. And that's I'm telling you like that matters much more than people realize because most progress in life, it doesn't come from massive amounts of inspiration. It usually comes from small actions that [02:21] are repeated consistently over time. And if you think about it, that's going to be true for many things in life. Building wealth, fitness, business, investing, learning skills, so just [02:35] about everything. Consistency matters more than intensity. about me. Like one thing I've noticed about myself is that when I try to mentally juggle too many things at once, like my productivity suffers or I just [02:50] like my productivity suffers or I just flat out forget to do something because I mean your brain is constantly trying to remember just the tasks themselves, the priority like which one takes priority over the other, deadlines, [03:03] And I just want to say that eventually it becomes mentally overwhelming, at least for me. And I just assume that this happens to other people as well. And then a lot of days, like I'll I'll stay busy. I'll stay busy all day long, [03:18] but sometimes I say to myself at the end of the day like 5:00 p.m. rolls around and I'll say to myself like what did I do all day? Like what did I get done? And it just got to the point where one day I told myself that you know what? I [03:31] just I need a checklist. And I want it to be pen and paper. I want it to be old I don't know because there's something about just so satisfying about crossing it off your your list, you know, once you get it done. [03:44] take it seriously. I'm going to be productive. I'm going to get things Now, I just want to take a few seconds to share this personal experience with you. Like one thing that people may not realize is that [03:57] I don't magically feel productive every single day. Some people think that I wake up every morning just so pumped up, so pumped up for life, just motivated, so motivated to get things done. But that's not the case. Like yes, I do [04:12] enjoy working on my business, I enjoy going to the gym, learning new things, meeting new people. I do, but sometimes I just I don't want to do anything. Like unmotivated. Like I just want to I just want to relax. I just want to watch [04:27] Netflix. I just want to doomscroll. I just want to do nothing. But the problem is that I want results. I want progress. I want to I want to get things done in life. So [04:40] with that being said, I created my own checklist. Okay, so why did I create my own checklist? But I want to happened. I created my own checklist because I wanted to buy a simple [05:24] checklist to help me stay organized and stay productive, but you know, I was looking everywhere and it just literally did not exist on the be set up. So they're all like the the ones that I [05:38] came across were a combination of planners or calendars with a to-do list. hybrid. Like I'm looking for a productivity checklist to help me stay disciplined, focused, and to get things done. Like, that's my That's what I [05:53] But, that product, it didn't exist.
