[00:01] some steps in how I've created best-selling listings on Etsy and how you can implement different strategies to get more sales and get a bestseller important things that we need to remember when we're selling on Etsy is [00:17] that Etsy is actually an e-commerce marketplace, meaning there's active single day to make a purchase. And I think that sometimes people get that confused of, I'm posting listings and I'm not getting sales. It's because [00:29] people want to purchase. And when we're selling on a marketplace, we actually can stream from data and things that people are already selling to see what works and what doesn't. So, we can really optimize our store. I would argue [00:43] that your research and your design are more important than your SEO, your mockups, and a lot of things on Etsy. And that's again because the buyer is already there. We just have to show them something that they want and that we [00:55] thing I recommend you to do is to actually go on Etsy and do a search for for the product or niche you want to sell to. I would recommend being a though. So, for example, I'm going to type in Dashhelm sweatshirt to see what [01:11] type in Dashhelm sweatshirt to see what are bestsellers for that specific term. my results down to best sellers, which there is a hack to do on Etsy. I'm going to go to show filters, Etsy's best, select star seller, and then up at the [01:28] top, I'm going to go to my URL and where it says star, I'm going to delete that and type the word best. sellers for that search term of Dashhound sweatshirt so that I can see [01:41] what's actually selling and what Etsy is showing me. People are actually buying for that search term. If you don't filter out or use a Chrome extension or any of that to do this, your search page looks completely different than everyone [01:53] else's due to like cookies, what you're searching for. So, it's important to get bestseller. You can then start to scroll and see similarities between these listings and start taking note of things that are actually bestsellers for the [02:06] that there's a Weenie mom sweatshirt that's a bestseller. There's also one that says Dashhound Mom. So, right off the bat, I know that Dash Hanwam seems to be something that people are buying in or searching for. I've got friends in [02:19] low places, so on and so forth, right? I'm also are in the same color, which is something that a lot of sellers skip or at the design, but something to take note of is all for this first page, I'm [02:34] sweatshirt. I'm also seeing dark green, near Christmas time when I'm filming this. But these are all just things that actually thinking for your designs. [music] You may be noticing on my page [02:47] as well. I do have this bar below that's giving some data based off of the search Etsy. This is actually a Chrome extension from Profit Tree, which is a really great tool if you're wanting to get some data proven results for your [03:01] you're looking for. When I click on a listing, I can see what the profit tree radar, how long the listing spent up, how many views, what the total revenue really helpful because again, it's another layer of data that tells me what [03:16] would not have thought to make a sweatshirt that said less meanies, more research and I know people are buying it and I want to make money, that's sweatshirt in my Etsy shop. Am I going to copy this design? No. We're not going [03:32] to take the exact design and just put it on our store. That's copying someone's add something new and valuable to the market that Etsy is going to push and want to be seen by different buyers. And I did a quick search on my profit tree [03:45] dashboard under the product finder and I typed in Dashhound sweatshirt so I could information and have everything laid out for me. As you can see here, Profit Tree really high and shows the monthly revenue and also all these different [04:01] things about the best-selling listings. You can see that they have a bestselling badge, how much they're making, and what the total revenue they've made is. So, obviously, ones with a higher total revenue gives me an idea that I want to [04:15] create something with this actual phrase or a similar type of design. There's did my search on Etsy that's popping up now that's made about $5,000 in revenue. six-month old listing. So, this is just actually going to give you another layer [04:32] your time creating things that aren't going to sell. Things with the more pay attention to. And you can get a preview of the designs, which I really like if you just hover over them on the left. I also find the average order [04:45] value interesting because I can see what designs people have actually been willing to pay more for, which I think is very helpful again when you're much you want to make. And speaking of profits, if you connect your Profit Tree [04:58] account to your Etsy, you can actually start seeing what your profits are when you begin getting sales and how much money you're actually making, which can a print on demand seller, cuz you have listing fees, transaction fees, and cost [05:14] helpful as well. to use. This is really great, but I really want to mention to you that right now they have a $67 lifetime access. Meaning you can pay $67 [05:26] once and get lifetime access to a lot of the features on Profit Tree, which is really great to saving money and doing your research because you're not going a link in the description below if you [05:38] in the same way that I'm showing you here. Like I said, we don't want to just take that one bestselling design and say, "Let's recreate this." What we're going to do, and it's an Etsy secret that I swear a lot of us successful [05:51] sellers do, is we're picking from different bestselling listings to create our actual cohesive brand new design. This means taking maybe a saying from one bestselling sweatshirt and a type of element from another best-selling [06:04] sweatshirt and combine them into a new design that's pretty much proven to sell because it's already bestsellers on two different listings. Why can't it be on as one of mine for inspiration because I can see Profit Tree saying it's a fairly [06:18] new design and they are selling pretty well so far. So, that's a good sign meaning that people want this product. Also, these cocktail weenie and the teeny weeny martinis seem to be selling well again according to the data that [06:32] I'm getting. So, this is something that I want to kind of mix together. So, let's go ahead and do that. So, I'm going to jump over to KD. They have a pre- t-shirt template that I'm going to use because these pixels are great for a [06:45] t-shirt design or design on a sweatshirt. I'm going to hit create. KD is a art platform if you've never used it before. And I really like it because there's a lot of different templates you can use for inspiration. Their AI is [06:58] incredible and it's just become my favorite art platform. So, you'll channel. I'm actually just going to bring in some screenshots of the art that I'm going to be using as inspiration. Again, I'm not copying [07:12] these, but I'm just going to put them on the side here so that I can have my info ready for me so that I kind of know what I'm creating. And you can do this with like multiple designs, too. I find this very helpful. Okay, so these are the two [07:26] designs that I want to kind of combine. And I'm going to start with my text. So, I'm going to go up here, create a text box. There's also some different titles and stuff you can use. And basically what I'm going to do is kind of t take [07:41] what I'm going to do is kind of t take the idea here of the simple text with some art underneath. And I'm just combining these two designs. I'm going to go over here and change my font to something that I feel fits the vibe. [07:56] Okay, now let's grab some graphics. So, I want to create a similar graphic to this one first where it's very simple. There's just some like silhouettes of paw prints and a dash hound. I'm going to do mine differently with the idea of [08:09] a martini glass though rather than the paw prints. And I get asked a lot where to get your graphics for these designs. And that's why I like KD as well because they actually have a ton that you can use for commercial use for print on [08:22] demand products and they just have everything you can think of. So if I type in martini or martini glass, I can then see all the different things that come up. And they also have really really great AI like I was mentioning. [08:34] So there are a few different um silhouette types of ones that I could use down here that are actually in the elements. So, I could do that or I could use this bar down below to create AI. And if I wanted to create something with [08:49] AI, it's really cool because all you have to do is just type exactly what you'd like. And then you can select your image style, clip art style, so on and so forth. They even have some for creating logos and doing other different [09:01] text, which is pretty cool. I'm going to go ahead and go to vector and use of a martini glass. I've already selected my style and then I can choose [09:13] what AI I want to use. There's a lot here. They require different amounts of credits and will be created faster. Some are better. I like to use Nano Banana cuz I feel like it comes out pretty good every time and it's really fast. It's [09:27] something in our design. So, just showing you that you can create silhouettes that way. Could also ask it for a silhouette of a dash hound dog. Okay, perfect. So you can kind of get the idea of what I'm creating here. So I [09:41] the idea of what I'm creating here. So I want a similar outcome as this around with it and see what I can come up with. [09:54] more. But essentially I'm taking the copy of this but changing the text to something similar because obviously this cocktail weenies weenies and teenies these all seem to be something that is popular along with this style design. I [10:07] design, copy it, and create one that just says cocktail weenies. That's also essentially just keep creating designs in the same way. in the same way. Also going to duplicate this [10:21] Also going to duplicate this and do cocktail weenies looks. Okay. So, in just a few minutes here, I [10:33] have two designs that are taking something from both best-selling designs, but combining it into one. I could also do a weenies and teenies with So, why don't we create one of those together? So, I'm going to go down here [10:48] together? So, I'm going to go down here again and do two dash hound dogs drinking martinis together. And then for the style, I'm going to [11:02] find a similar style to how these are created. There's this cool like silhouette dolly e. prompt down here, but just selecting different image styles and see how [11:18] really create something just depending on what your vision is. Also, a small hack over here on your left side is chatgpt. You can type something in and something similar. I've done this a few times here to get a really good AI [11:34] prompt for the actual image generator. I find that that helps a lot if you don't you're ever creating designs and you're kind of in a stuck or you're in a rut correct prompt, that's a nice hack you can do. I have to mention a feature that [11:49] KD has too called their smartboards. Basically, you can take a design. So, here's a design that I found that was selling well and use AI to create something of your own by making a smartboard and then giving your own text [12:03] prompt and have the AI create something new based off of what you gave it. And you can continue to do this and create multiple smart boards and get different variations of your design, which can be really quickly to create new designs and [12:17] just overall not spend as much time creating new elements and designs. So, here's what my artboard looks like after I've created eight different designs. inspiration from all of these bestselling designs that I found on Etsy [12:30] and Profitry, and then making my own versions of them. So, again, we're not copying. We're just taking from these bestselling designs, seeing the elements that are working, the sayings that are working, and then implementing them onto [12:42] new designs. Now, are all these designs going to be winners? No, most likely not. But it means that one of them or even maybe more of them will actually start to bring us in sales because we're using proven design techniques. So this [12:54] is exactly what I mean by this. And then when I go and upload them to print on demand products, I can use similar products, similar color schemes to know what's already working. And taking your time and testing out different things [13:06] Like I said, I like creating in that same art board, but like even something as small as changing the bow on this could be a new selling point for a design. You really never know. I'm going to export one of these and we're going [13:19] to go ahead and upload it to a product. And if you don't have a KD account yet, I will have a link in the description, of course, along with a code to get you a really great deal on their plans. And I'm going to go to Printify and this is [13:31] the Gilden sweatshirt that has that sand color that I kept seeing. So, I'm going to go here and select the sand color and then just upload one of the designs I just created. Just center it on there and then check out how it looks. [13:43] Gorgeous, right? And then I also could do a version where it's maybe smaller in the corner. And then I noticed on that listing too that there was personalization. And if you didn't know, Printify has a new personalization tab [13:57] actually personalize their own text or image. So here you could put a dog's name example. So Rocky and have it as like Dashhound Mama with [14:09] the dog's name on the sleeve, right? There's so many options. Let's say we want to do it on the sleeve. Personalized text. Rocky. [14:24] the print here. And then we have that optional print on the sleeve. So, totally up to you. But just trying things out again based off of what's already selling. I would upload two of these. I would upload one with the large [14:36] with personalization and try both things using those different techniques, we have a better chance of selling this and we looked at things that were already working. And you can take this formula [14:50] and apply it in so many different ways on your Etsy shop. But again, using things that are proven to sell and then adding our own creativity to it to make something new. And then what's great as well is once you have a design that [15:02] they're favoring it, then you can have real-time data for your store and your niche of, okay, that design worked. I'm going to take that design and recreate it in different ways in my own store. So, use the own trick you use to create [15:17] that to make more and more designs. And I swear by this hack. It's been so useful for me and other sellers that I've helped in my program and on social media. And I know that it works. You just have to apply it and then use [15:29] research tools to actually your advantage to see what's already selling with data. Data does not lie. And so many Etsy sellers don't want to put in that work, but that's what's going to get you separated from the rest. If you [15:43] let me know. If you'd like to see more like it, definitely leave a comment down that it's helpful. And of course, everything I talked about and used in description box below. So, if you want to follow along and do this for [15:58] for you. Thank you so so much for watching, and I hope to see you in the watching, and I hope to see you in the next video.
