[01:06] went out to Texas uh I think for DreamHack a couple years ago. Or Or no, I went I road trip to a gun day that like Black Rifle Coffee, um Demolition Ranch, and all of them had like two or three years ago. And when I
[01:22] have a Buc-ee's like every like couple hundred miles, but for some reason right around where we grew up in Ohio they put a Buc-ee's here. And these two have never experienced it before. My anxiety already. I'm like,
[01:37] It's cra- It's crazy. And what's crazy is in Texas, these are even bigger. This is in Texas, these are even bigger. This is Buc-ee's. WHERE ARE THEY AT? WHAT ARE THESE WHAT ARE THEY CHANTING?

[04:31] just roaming free. But yeah, it makes um I don't know. It just makes coming to I don't know. It just makes coming to Ohio feel like we're a burden to to like you know, like anytime we go to my
[04:45] sister's or her family's house, especially if like we stay the night, it's usually just like a bedroom. Like cramming our entire lifestyle for a week is just not fun, by any means. Dude, you are going to break so much [ __ ] while
[04:59] Neil would know how to mess with the thermostat cuz it's 56 in here? I haven't touched this this whole time you've been talking. Dude, you can't trust him with anything. You really can't.

[06:08] we are originally from Ohio, which is where we are now, and we're visiting for the week. And it's supposed to be it's supposed to be a vacation. like 6 years ago we relocated down to Charlotte, North Carolina, which is
[06:22] where like a lot of the opportunities have come from and whatnot. But I you in current day I don't really have too much about like where we came from, like where I spent 30 years of my life. So it's just like trying to
[06:37] It's like oh it'd be it'd be nice to do something nice with that. Yeah. And then moved in the first place. Yeah. It's been good. It's not it's not all been negative. It's not uh you know
[06:51] area. There's good people here, but area. There's good people here, but of course like it's mid-May and it's it's gloomy here. It's cold. I think I Now I'm more excited to turn this on to
[07:05] to more so vent and see if anybody relates with I'm sure a lot of people do. Oh I know I know. It's just it's one of those things like you'll never like we just drove 8 hours to be up here for a week. We rented an Airbnb instead of
[07:19] staying at like one family member's house so that way like another side of intrusive. Like so that way we had a house all week to where anybody can visit. And it's just it's so crazy how in small town America cuz it's it can be
[07:35] >> Yeah. I guess that's where I'm like I I need Like it's crazy how ungrateful people are of try to go out of your way to for somebody else and set up the options.
[07:50] Cuz like we set up this entire scenario and you still have family that are like 15 minutes down the road and they can't go out of their way to just make like an hour and then they guilt trip you for not going
[08:04] more out more out of our way to go visit them. God, it's frustrating. It's very annoying. Like my own my own parents have seen us one time since we've been up here.
[08:18] They drove past our Airbnb the other day to run errands and then went all the way back home and they waited two to three days to guilt trip us into being like, "So you are you going to
[08:31] come visit us?" No! We got a [ __ ] Airbnb. I don't know. I'm I'm just at that age. Yeah, no, no, no, sir. You know, uh No, no.
[08:45] don't care anymore. I'm pretty I'm pretty content building my family I feel like we're pretty happy down south or could be happy anywhere else other than here. So it's like, why stress about making this area work? It's
[08:59] always good coming back here because it's like a a clip that I actually seen while I was up here explained it the best. It was called of Alex Hormozi talking about a guy that was like wanting to sell his business
[09:11] He's like, "I don't know. I've just been doing it for so long. I just think it's like time for like the next thing." And he's like, "Yeah, but as as people we always want what we can't have." And like the longer we spend
[09:25] you know, cuz it's been like a year since we've been here, we create this like fantasy in our head of like we need family. We need to be around like our hometown more. Like we we we really need that in our life. And it
[09:39] takes 2 days till you're like grass is always greener. I don't think we actually need that. Like just naturally as people like we always want what we can't have till we have it. And then you're like, "Okay, maybe I don't
[09:53] did." So, the good thing is I'm grateful. I'm very excited to get back home and to get to work now. So. But uh today should be a good one. Bring you around a little bit of of what we do.
[10:07] We got to go we got to go help set up Megan's families married. So, we'll set up part of like the wedding today. know go out to somebody's house or probably what grill.

[11:15] I think it encapsulates the entire idea of this area is everybody everybody wants you around for the general idea of like small town Ohio family should be close. But like nobody actually really wants to
[11:28] supportive of So. I know. I guess I guess instead I guess I needed to make this vlog today not to show you a glorified idea of what it was like when we were here before, but more
[11:43] so to vent to other people that I know relate to how just shitty family can be in situations of guilt-tripping you and then not coming through themselves.

[12:35] somewhere, we put coolers on floaties, and we just float miles like call and, you know, pick up bring us a vehicle and we'd have to swap later on, but we call it cabrewing. Cuz you're drinking beer. Cuz you Yeah, cuz you're
[12:50] canoeing or floating. So, I guess down south they do do it, but they call it >> but I know I mentioned to that guy at work I said cabrewing and he goes, And that's literally what he was about to do. Yeah. I I just I thought

[15:14] it's obviously changed ownership and now it's this like brewery. Down in Charlotte, they will literally build new buildings that look like they've been around for a hundred years to give off that aesthetic and vibe.
[15:29] That's where like in Ohio, it's just it's everywhere. It's like that it's naturally what it is. But I don't know. It just like again, it's cool to visit, it's cool to look at. Um I mean, I grew up in this type of
[15:43] um not a lot of people like change. They like kind of the negative vibe you get that there's anything wrong with it. I feel like it's the type of video like

[31:43] You can make enjoyment out of anything. And it's not that like Ohio is all bad. I I know that I like to give it a bad rep a lot of times, but if we're also being real, you guys got a really perfect
[31:56] moment of Ohio captured. Like the days we went up this week, perfect beautiful weather, opportunity to hang out with family, do things, and be proactive, right? The thing is, no matter where you go,
[32:11] whether you stay in your hometown, whether you move away and and come back, it's never going to be 24/7. Like the idea of constantly being with other >> like not going to happen all the time. Everybody has their own lives and and
[32:26] things to do. You know, like I said earlier, as humans, we want what we >> The grass is greener on the other side. The fact that we can't constantly be that we did this weekend with those people [music] that we do enjoy spending
[32:39] time around. It makes us think that maybe we should go back there. Like the we're like, "Are we missing out on on these things?" But you can't measure constantly put this weight and idea that maybe you should have to do this thing
[32:54] because in those small windows it [music] feels good because start building a group of friends around you, like a >> core community, you can really build that anywhere. Like we're building our
[33:06] little family here and there's nothing stopping us from being more proactive in the community around us to meet more friends [music] here and and have more of those windows like what you just seen in Ohio here. It's just ever since we've
[33:19] moved to Charlotte, we've been so busy. The pandemic happened, then [music] Kick happened, then the baby happened and it's just been so go go go time to like become part of groups or sign up for
[33:34] clubs or do these things to meet people in this area because we don't go out and also debated moving to other places in the country where there's more of a condensed group of people that we know and we like and that we would like to
[33:48] see more and hang out with. But with whatever we do, I just want to relate been in this situation where I'm like, "I'm comfortable here, but I'd like to try some place new." Go do it, dude.
[34:00] Most likely if you're watching this video, you're anywhere from 20 to 45 years old. You can move your entire life away, completely change everything for a few years and still move back if it doesn't
[34:12] feel right for you. Like realistically, we've been gone for 6 years now. It seems like a lifetime, but it's only been 6 years of our life that we've been down here and our lives have drastically changed. If we moved to Ohio, we moved
[34:25] back to Ohio, the what we accomplished down here would we would be exponentially better off the fact that we did move down here. And like, "Hey, okay, if this area didn't work, we'll just go back up there." So,
[34:40] on one side, I want to encourage those who haven't gone out and flown the coop and lived a little bit more somewhere else and tried something else, go do it. Trust me. And for those that did take that risk, they did move somewhere
[34:53] don't really know anybody here. I don't have my tribe here. They're all back in this area, but I love this area that we live," which is exactly what we're going through right now. Like, we love North Carolina. We love it. We love the
[35:07] weather here. We love the location. You can go 3 hours south, you're at >> an hour and a half north and you're at breathtaking mountains. And we're only a few hours away from Atlanta, a couple hours away from Raleigh. Even Florida,
[35:20] it's like a morning drive's away as compared to in Ohio, it was like an entire day's drive. The only thing we don't have here is we don't currently friends and family. We don't [music] currently have those moments where we
[35:35] can go out into the middle of a field, shoot some guns, and rip some donuts. At the end of the day, that there's nothing stopping us from putting ourselves out there and meeting other people
[35:47] to have those moments. There's nothing stopping us from working hard to get the land that we want, to be able to do those things with ourselves or with basically wanted to share this today because I know other people go through
[36:00] these experiences. My opinion, our bet, like what Megan and I talked about this week, give give things an extra chance. Like, instead of just doing one thing and be like, "Ah, well,
[36:12] Maybe give something else a try. You're already out there. You already got out out of your hometown. Maybe give something else a try before you just go missing something where you currently are. Anyways,
