[0:00] Hey guys, it's Rush. Hope you're doing [0:01] well. Welcome back to the channel. In [0:03] this video today, we're going to look at [0:05] frame data for Saga to show you some of [0:08] the key punishes you want to use against [0:10] his normals and specials. So, starting [0:12] with stand heavy punch, one of his [0:14] normals. This has a lot of range, slow [0:16] start up, but it's minus five on block. [0:18] You do get a stand like punish here. [0:25] Next attack is stand heavy kick. This is [0:27] 10 frame start up. doesn't have as much [0:29] range, but this move actually connects [0:31] twice at close proximity. If the second [0:33] portion of the kick lands when you're [0:35] standing, it's minus 5. If you crouch [0:37] block, you'll block the knee, which is [0:39] minus 7, but the second part of the kick [0:41] whiffs entirely. If you're further out [0:43] at this sort of range, it'll completely [0:46] whiff. The the kick itself at the end [0:47] doesn't connect. That's like a free [0:49] whiff punish. [0:52] If you do block the stand heavy kick, [0:53] you only get the stand like a punish at [0:55] close range. There is a lot of push [0:56] back. [0:58] Just watch your spacing on the punish. [1:00] If you do block this kick and the second [1:02] portion of the kick whiffs because [1:03] you're crouching, remember minus 7. You [1:06] may want to go for a crouching, meaning [1:08] punch punish counter. Sag stand light [1:10] kick. This is special cancelable, so be [1:12] careful. But on block raw, this is minus [1:15] four. You'll only punish this with a [1:16] long range fourframe close proximity. [1:22] Sagat crouch heavy punch 11 frame start [1:24] up has a lot of range this move does so [1:27] on block this is minus five again you [1:30] can see you got to be very close punish [1:33] that I don't think you'll be punishing [1:36] that they will be using that as a whiff [1:38] punish tool they won't be throwing it [1:39] out at close proximity the stag sweep is [1:42] minus 12 on block even at max range 10 [1:45] can get a sweep with punish if you want [1:47] to spend bar you can do odi to [1:50] close range. You definitely want to do [1:53] stand heavy punch into either medium or [1:56] OD dragon lash [1:58] and of course do level two super as well [2:01] at range. [2:04] >> Saga has a heap of command normals and [2:06] target combos. This is high step kick. [2:08] Now this is not punishable. This is [2:10] actually plus four for Saga. This is a [2:12] high step kick meaning you can crouch [2:14] it. Means you will get a whiff punish [2:17] opportunity. Tiger monolith. This is [2:20] back heavy puncher stag out. If you [2:22] block both hits, it's minus 10. If you [2:24] crouch it or if only one hit connects, [2:27] it's minus 13. In both instances, you [2:30] can get a stand heavy punch punish [2:32] counter. So the kick kick target combo, [2:35] you can't crouch this, but this is minus [2:37] eight on block. [2:42] Saga also has two target combos from [2:44] crouch medium punch. This is crouch [2:46] medium punch into heavy punch. This is [2:50] minus 14 on block [2:59] crime punch into heavy kick. This is a [3:02] launcher. This is minus 10 on block. [3:06] So again very punishable for Saga. So [3:09] light tiger knee at close proximity [3:11] standing or crouching is minus eight. [3:13] But further out, if they do it at range, [3:15] you can see there it's zero. It's [3:17] actually more advantageous for Saga if [3:20] you're crouching. So, if I'm crouching, [3:22] should back dash. Now, [3:25] you can see that was quite close, but [3:28] it's only minus two. So, it is a spacing [3:30] dependent thing. If you see Sag's very [3:32] high up in the air, you're going to get [3:34] a big punish. [3:38] >> Similar story for the medium. Medium is [3:41] minus seven at close proximity. So again [3:43] if he connects and he's high minus seven [3:46] but further range especially if you're [3:48] crouching it becomes safe. [3:53] Heavy tiger is interesting. If you're [3:54] crouching this then you're always going [3:56] to be minus four. You do not want to [3:59] crouch that. But if you're standing [4:02] that second attack the second part of it [4:04] second knee is minus five for Saga. [4:08] you can get a punish counter, [4:11] but range, even if you're standing, it [4:13] can be made to be safe. You can see that [4:15] was only minus two the first time. [4:18] So, light tiger shot the close range is [4:22] minus 7. [4:27] Meme and heavy hit high. So, you can [4:29] crouch and if you are close proximity [4:31] when they do this, you can with punish [4:35] with a button. [4:39] However, medium, if you block it at [4:41] close proximity, you are minus three. It [4:45] is Sagat's turn at close proximity from [4:47] the medium fireball. This has slightly [4:49] slower startup than the heavy. [4:53] The heavy is minus one block for Sagat. [4:55] So, I'm plus one. You can see it comes [4:57] out very, very fast. I'm not going to [5:00] cover Tiger Nexus in this video because [5:02] there is a separate video that covers [5:03] all the frame data for that. So, please [5:06] see this video link in the video [5:07] description for more on Tiger Nexus. So, [5:10] when it comes to Sagat supers, his level [5:12] one super is very punishable is minus [5:16] 31. [5:18] You can get a drive rush crouch every [5:21] punch. His level two is minus 58 on [5:24] block. You get a big neutral jump punish [5:26] here. [5:32] >> Level three is minus 51. So again, you [5:34] get a neutral jump option there to [5:37] punish. [5:40] >> Sagat's level one super is [5:45] >> throw and strike invincible, but it is [5:48] very slow startup. [5:52] >> So you can bait it when it's done on a [5:54] wake up situation. Can of course go for [5:57] a meter fireball setup to punish. [6:06] So, that's it for the video, guys. Just [6:07] some super basic information, but stuff [6:09] that will help you with the matchup when [6:11] you face the army of Sagats in ranked. [6:13] Any questions or any queries, always [6:14] give me a shout, and I'll catch you in [6:16] the next video. Take care.
