## Transcript

Hey guys, it's Rush. Hope you're doing
well. Welcome back to the channel. In
this video today, we're going to look at
frame data for Saga to show you some of
the key punishes you want to use against
his normals and specials. So, starting
with stand heavy punch, one of his
normals. This has a lot of range, slow
start up, but it's minus five on block.
You do get a stand like punish here.
Next attack is stand heavy kick. This is
10 frame start up. doesn't have as much
range, but this move actually connects
twice at close proximity. If the second
portion of the kick lands when you're
standing, it's minus 5. If you crouch
block, you'll block the knee, which is
minus 7, but the second part of the kick
whiffs entirely. If you're further out
at this sort of range, it'll completely
whiff. The the kick itself at the end
doesn't connect. That's like a free
whiff punish.
If you do block the stand heavy kick,
you only get the stand like a punish at
close range. There is a lot of push
back.
Just watch your spacing on the punish.
If you do block this kick and the second
portion of the kick whiffs because
you're crouching, remember minus 7. You
may want to go for a crouching, meaning
punch punish counter. Sag stand light
kick. This is special cancelable, so be
careful. But on block raw, this is minus
four. You'll only punish this with a
long range fourframe close proximity.
Sagat crouch heavy punch 11 frame start
up has a lot of range this move does so
on block this is minus five again you
can see you got to be very close punish
that I don't think you'll be punishing
that they will be using that as a whiff
punish tool they won't be throwing it
out at close proximity the stag sweep is
minus 12 on block even at max range 10
can get a sweep with punish if you want
to spend bar you can do odi to
close range. You definitely want to do
stand heavy punch into either medium or
OD dragon lash
and of course do level two super as well
at range.
>> Saga has a heap of command normals and
target combos. This is high step kick.
Now this is not punishable. This is
actually plus four for Saga. This is a
high step kick meaning you can crouch
it. Means you will get a whiff punish
opportunity. Tiger monolith. This is
back heavy puncher stag out. If you
block both hits, it's minus 10. If you
crouch it or if only one hit connects,
it's minus 13. In both instances, you
can get a stand heavy punch punish
counter. So the kick kick target combo,
you can't crouch this, but this is minus
eight on block.
Saga also has two target combos from
crouch medium punch. This is crouch
medium punch into heavy punch. This is
minus 14 on block
crime punch into heavy kick. This is a
launcher. This is minus 10 on block.
So again very punishable for Saga. So
light tiger knee at close proximity
standing or crouching is minus eight.
But further out, if they do it at range,
you can see there it's zero. It's
actually more advantageous for Saga if
you're crouching. So, if I'm crouching,
should back dash. Now,
you can see that was quite close, but
it's only minus two. So, it is a spacing
dependent thing. If you see Sag's very
high up in the air, you're going to get
a big punish.
>> Similar story for the medium. Medium is
minus seven at close proximity. So again
if he connects and he's high minus seven
but further range especially if you're
crouching it becomes safe.
Heavy tiger is interesting. If you're
crouching this then you're always going
to be minus four. You do not want to
crouch that. But if you're standing
that second attack the second part of it
second knee is minus five for Saga.
you can get a punish counter,
but range, even if you're standing, it
can be made to be safe. You can see that
was only minus two the first time.
So, light tiger shot the close range is
minus 7.
Meme and heavy hit high. So, you can
crouch and if you are close proximity
when they do this, you can with punish
with a button.
However, medium, if you block it at
close proximity, you are minus three. It
is Sagat's turn at close proximity from
the medium fireball. This has slightly
slower startup than the heavy.
The heavy is minus one block for Sagat.
So, I'm plus one. You can see it comes
out very, very fast. I'm not going to
cover Tiger Nexus in this video because
there is a separate video that covers
all the frame data for that. So, please
see this video link in the video
description for more on Tiger Nexus. So,
when it comes to Sagat supers, his level
one super is very punishable is minus
31.
You can get a drive rush crouch every
punch. His level two is minus 58 on
block. You get a big neutral jump punish
here.
>> Level three is minus 51. So again, you
get a neutral jump option there to
punish.
>> Sagat's level one super is
>> throw and strike invincible, but it is
very slow startup.
>> So you can bait it when it's done on a
wake up situation. Can of course go for
a meter fireball setup to punish.
So, that's it for the video, guys. Just
some super basic information, but stuff
that will help you with the matchup when
you face the army of Sagats in ranked.
Any questions or any queries, always
give me a shout, and I'll catch you in
the next video. Take care.
