And this is a really unfortunate situation because a few months ago, I sold this amazing truck, a 1973 Ford F250 camper special Ranger XLT, one of the original luxury pickup trucks, and it is a really cool rig. Unfortunately,
the buyers, they were over 1500 miles away, and when they took delivery, they pedal went to the floor. It had no brakes and they asked me to take it back, to take it on refund. But not only that, I had to take it on refund and
then pay another $3,500 because I paid for their shipping. They wanted me to do that $1,500. And then I had to pay another $2,000 to ship it back to Kansas because it was now an INOP vehicle. I sold it with working brakes. But when
working brakes, it needs to be classified as a non-running vehicle. So, I had to pay more, $2,000 to ship it back to Kansas. And this is an old truck. It has to be something simple. It wasn't something that I set out to sell.
emailed me saying this was their dream truck. They saw my video from years ago sell it. And it was during my Hoopty Salathon to pay taxes like I do every year and I sold like 10 cars and this one it wasn't on the list and I actually
because it had been sitting for a year. I hadn't moved it in a year. Needed a battery to get running and driving. And when I finally did, I brought it out. It was covered in dust. I mean just an inch of dust. I told them it hasn't been
driving video. Showed them everything was working. The AC felt a little weak. The brakes definitely worked then and then I sold it to them at a price that I thought was really good. I paid $13,000 for this truck three years ago. Spent
another $2,000 or so sorting it out and sold it to them for $8,500 bucks. So, a sold it to them for $8,500 bucks. So, a big loss on my part, like a $6,500 loss. while and wanted to give them a cushion just in case something popped up. But
when they got it, they were really unhappy with it because obviously the definitely a thing. They said they live up on a hill, so they couldn't even their house. They didn't want to put brake fluid in it and see if they could
limp it up there. And they didn't know anybody that could come and fix it. So, house. And they were pretty frustrated, which is, I guess, sort of something thinking it's working and it shows up not working. But, I did say,
this thing. A brake line, a brake hose, one of the cylinders burst, something like that, while it was being shipped. It can't be a big deal to fix." And they didn't really want to investigate it. I offered to refund the vehicle. They took
it like that. So maybe they were expecting it to be nicer. I don't know darn good shape. It's an original Survivor, mostly original paint. The original interior does show some wear, but once again, I sent them pictures of
that they watched. That's how they reached out to me on this. So I can't imagine they were disappointed as far as the condition of it. And I hope that actually pretty valuable when they are restored. So as far as a driver, uh,
this was a pretty good deal. But I didn't really ask a lot of questions. They were done and I could just tell. So I refunded the money. Asking for the then having to pay for all that shipping. But now here it is almost a
month later. It took a long time to find a truck for this and it's back. It's that last Hoopty Salathon before I opened up the Hoopty Lot, I sold 10 cars and I actually had to refund money on now three of them, which in many many
years, I probably out of a 100 cars have had to refund one in that entire run of sell things. Not so much when I buy them, but when I sell them, I want them to be good cars. And in that last run, the Porsche Panamera 4S, unfortunately,
after I sold it. The guy drove it through like a monsoon rainstorm and I guess it filled up one of the passenger wells and the ECU got wet. We couldn't find it until it was too late. So I refunded him the money, sent it to J&J
Autorecking and they discovered that indeed that ECU was wet. The car was already being stripped at this point. So that nice Porsche Panameare 4S with destroyed, broken up for parts. Another one that wasn't so nice was my 1998
Range Rover. And that one when I sold it on Cars and Bids for 10 grand. from everywhere. All of a sudden, it sat the dash started leaking and there were other leaks like oil leaks that popped
money fixing leaks. So, I took it in the shorts on that one. I think I sold it Autorecking, refunded the buyer and and took a hit there. So, between those three cars, that was easily a $15,000 hit. Although, this one I did get back
and I can fix it now. And I do think it's possibly worth more than what I because I really was in a hurry. Didn't have time. And it always starts right have time. And it always starts right up.
This is a really happy truck. 390 V8. Factory air conditioning, AM radio, the Factory air conditioning, AM radio, the luxury interior. And anyway, it's it's back. So, I can drive it around this field right now, but I do
have no brakes. So, I have to plan my stops with the emergency brake, putting it in neutral and all that stuff, but it still drives just fine. So, anyway, it is it is pretty frustrating. So, now that it's back, we can see
finally what happened to it. Because when I was waiting for the shipper to bring this thing back. Okay, emergency break. Let's stop it. Stop. Stop. Stop. There we go. So, when I was waiting for the shipper, they did make an offer to
me, the buyers. They said that they would keep it uh for $5,000. That was their offering price as far as a discount. So, to sell it to them for shipping. And I thought about it for a
want this thing to come back because I want to show that it really wasn't a big deal. I'm I'm pretty confident that it's not a major fix on this thing uh to make it running and driving and functional again, which is how I sold it. So, I
but partially just because of stubborn pride to ship the thing back and spend that $2,000 to ship it home. And I hope I mean I hope I'm right. So, anyway, let's go get Danielson and see what he has to say. All right, Daniel Son,

that very low mileage one. 40,000 mi on it because it's never been touched up. it because it's never been touched up. So, it it is insanely insanely nice. You know, I'm keeping the 180,000 mi one. So, that's my consolation prize.
But this is really, I think, the coolest and hardest to find thing that I've ever It does have an aftermarket stereo and backup camera, but the original stereo sitting right here. And look how nice the knobs are. I mean, if you know old
GMT800s, all this just gets worn out. People's fingers rubbing through accessories and everything in here. This truck bed, it doesn't look like it's down on it. I mean, same with this stuff. This stuff just sort of ages. The
texture kind of goes away. It gets milky and it's all it's all ridiculous. Did >> Well, I wanted to ask you a question. How much would you ask for this truck if >> Probably. >> Yeah, probably close to 30 grand.

old and new to where it's reliable, but it's modern enough to where it has all the comforts and things you want. So, it'd be crazy if this was a daily driver for someone, but I mean, as far as what new trucks cost, I guess it would make
daily driver, but really this is a collector's item now. It's getting to that point where I could definitely see someday these being $100,000, especially really is an amazing operation. They've done 10 of these for me so far. A lot of
happy Hoobies Garage viewers have gotten some really neat cars, and this one veteranowned and operated company, so they're great people to work with as well. And this really is it is an opportunity. But I guess I can't go yet
