knowing how to EQ properly is a lot by

bell curve we're going to do a cut a low

voice is in a hall you just want to feel

it Blends it in perfectly because it
makes the the vocal a little louder it
extends it a little bit it um yeah your
Reverb is super important um so yeah
that's that's adding a little bit of
Reverb some delay to your voice but now
I just want to add even like still a bit
more clarity to your voice so we tried
that with EQ but this is um a harmonic
Exciter it's basically adding harmonics
to the top end of your voice and
harmonics are
basically adding additional frequencies
and and distorting saturating the
frequencies at the top it just it's
basically going going to make your voice
clear in a very just smooth pleasing way
that like boosting EQ wouldn't do the
same thing so check this out steady

dser
mhm and this is going to compress the
the s's that jump out because as you
boost highend this sound right here all
of that when you're when you're singing
or rapping that's in the highend so if
you're boosting that your voice is
sounding better yeah but you're also
bringing out more of that it can be
harsh it can get harsh yeah like is yeah
I got you so we boosted we boosted the
high-end here for the tone right we also
boosted the even more highend using this
plugin for the tone as well but now we
need to compress some of that back so
that is basically just not you know
hurting our ears all it's it's not it's
not hurting our ears right now but like
when you go in a car especially like
with worse speakers and you just play
things loud even the slightest little
bit of harshness that you hear in here
is exaggerated in the real world so
that's why this type of stuff is so
important the roof over our head she

it also helps you tame the Dynamics of
the voice a little bit more so we're
going to get your voice a little bit
louder right but it's not going to ever
feel like it's too loud it's not ever
going to feel like it's peeking over the
beat because if I wanted your voice
louder yeah you could just turn up the
track right but there's moments in your
voice where like for example that moment
here like there's moments in your voice
where your voice kind of Peaks and if
you just simply turn up your voice
you're going to have those peeking
moments still which aren't desirable but
this way if you had a if you had a
compressor at the end of your vocal
chain which we have here with the rbox
you can you can still turn up your vocal
but it will be more smooth throughout at
a louder level instead of just turning
up the volume does that make sense yeah

put depending on the Chain I'll put a

to 30 I know it goes crazy you just get
big talk about it but I know I know the

want something to sit in the back of the
mix and be a little bit more ethereal
back there you got to reduce some of the
high you got to reduce some of the
clarity if you have a lot of that
Clarity and highing it the ear's still
going to perceive it like it's it's
pretty close to you but we want it to
feel like it's just swimming in the back
there so check this out
