## Summary

This video is a commentary on the controversy surrounding the use of Japanese anime and manga imagery in French protests, which have involved violent acts. The creator expresses frustration at the backlash Japanese people face for objecting to their culture being used in this way, and criticizes what they see as cultural appropriation and hypocrisy.

### Key Points

- **Manga author encourages use of manga in protests** [03:36] — The creator discusses a manga author who identifies as a member of the Japanese left and encourages the use of manga in demonstrations, which has upset many Japanese people who feel this author does not speak for them.
- **Individual waves modified Japanese flag** [04:32] — The creator highlights an individual in Japan who waved a modified Japanese flag, replacing the rising sun with a free Palestine flag and pride flags, calling it a gross act of disrespect.
- **Call for deportation of disrespectful individual** [06:31] — The creator suggests that the individual who disrespected the Japanese flag should be deported, as they clearly hate Japan and do not belong there.
- **Japan is done with the situation** [07:11] — The creator reiterates that Japan is fed up with how anime and manga are being used in French protests, and that Japanese people are being called racist for objecting.
- **Anime and manga as a battlefield for culture war** [07:52] — The creator laments that anime and manga have become a battlefield for culture war and politics, which was not a problem six or seven years ago.
- **Anime politics unavoidable** [08:10] — The creator argues that even if one tries to avoid engaging with anime being used for politics, it is unavoidable, citing examples like VAs funding terrorist organizations and Crunchyroll censoring content.
- **Japan called racist for objecting** [09:06] — The creator notes that when Japan calls out the misuse of their culture, they are called racist, while the same people who do this are quick to label others as white supremacists.
- **Anime used like a puppet** [09:49] — The creator expresses sadness that anime is being used like a puppet by bad actors, and that speaking up about it results in being called racist.
- **Double standard in cultural respect** [10:17] — The creator suggests that if similar disrespect happened to the black community, it would not be tolerated, implying a double standard in how Japanese culture is treated.

### Conclusion

The creator concludes that Japan's response to the misuse of its culture is being unfairly dismissed, and that anime has become a battleground for cultural and political conflicts, which they find deeply troubling.

## Transcript

It's so messed up that the Japanese people are begging for manga not to be used as a symbol of revolution! Real Japanese folks getting all spicy because we're using anime symbols in our protests!
Kikikikikai! Hmm? How it feels to have your culture stolen, Japan? If it scares you, imagine doing what you did to countries during your empire! Japanese people who criticize the French for using One Piece imagery in protests!
It's the biggest joke of the century, LMAO! I really feel like they and we aren't reading the same work! The Japanese are so cut off from the outside world that they think they're the only country in the world where everyone can read!
Apparently it's okay to be completely racist to the Japanese, and the reason for that is because the Japanese doesn't want to see their anime, manga, or culture itself used to promote violent acts of rioting and looting. Japan is rightfully pissed with how anime is being used to promote violent acts of terrorism within France and Paris.
It is legitimately gotten out of control. Like, you take one good look at, like, the quotes of this poster right here, saying anime characters are becoming symbols of Gen Z resistance in France, and basically you'll see a lot of different Japanese accounts that's getting a lot of likes, as you can see,
that are outright calling out just the usage of Japanese anime to be able to promote basically violent acts of burning down buildings, looting, and riots. Japan is mad.
And basically, for whatever reason, when Japan calls this out, there is literally individuals that are getting upset, people that are within France, and even individuals that don't even live in France, as you can see by this guy right here, he doesn't even live in France, he's from Brazil,
that are straight up being outright racist that Japanese people, Japan itself, the creators of anime and manga, are mad that their actual anime and manga is being used to promote violent acts.
And you have people being just outright so racist in these last 24 hours. Honestly, the mask is really just slipping on off. It's actually crazy just seeing how many people legit just do not actually really care about anime.
they use it like a skin suit to be able to push their ideals and ideology and politics, and this is honestly one of the most vindicating things, which is sad I'm getting vindicated like this,
but it's one of the most vindicating moments in a while, just seeing that everything I've talked about with all these bad actors that get into anime, just how anime became mainstream, is not a good thing. Like this is the very reason why I said anime becoming mainstream is not good because it being hijacked by literally parasites that are using it to push propaganda censorship and other things that just go completely against
what anime and manga is even about to begin with. And it's just, it's really sad just seeing how many Japanese people are trying to call this out, but in turn, you have people that are literally from the West that are just saying Japan doesn't get it,
they're stupid or whatever, that they don't own, you know, manga, they don't own anime. It's like, yes, they do, they created it. and it's just like, these people are just so, so evil, man, there's just so much evil going on,
and it really pisses me off, because there is one thing I want to talk about, and you know things are getting serious, when you have a community note talking about a situation with how manga and anime is being used to promote violent acts within France, when you have a community note
that is being actually done in Japanese on a poster, you know you're done fucked up, you know you're doing something that's really pissing off the Japanese, and I kind of want to take a few moments to talk about this one real quick. So, basically, this individual right here
is apparently a manga author saying, hello, I am a member of the Japanese left. Please actively use mangas which are part of Japanese culture and the demonstration. They will become a symbol of solidarity. And obviously, a lot of the Japanese that are quoting this post,
it's nothing with Japanese, it's a character, as you can see, just translated, are just outright upset that this user is trying to speak for all Japanese, all Japanese authors and saying, oh, you know, you should use all manga to promote these violent acts,
and likely getting called out. I'm glad to see this. And if you're wondering what this individual does or what they work on as a manga author, apparently that's what they work on, of course. Absolutely ugly-ass freaking main character, I'm assuming, on the cover.
Obviously, I don't read this, but that's just a very unattractive look. Who would have guessed? You know, someone that's promoting all this and wanting their manga to be used for politics and all manga to be used for politics would be drawing characters like this. It really is just a case in point, very similar to what we've seen in Western media when it comes to games.
But before I go any deeper into this, though, I want to take a few moments to really iterate something that pissed me off to my very core, and that is this individual right here, which is called Noemane, or whatever, I don't care to really pronounce her name right,
but they're going viral right now because they were in Japan waving a messed up, cut-out Japanese flag. For those that don't know, that is the Japanese flag, the land of the rising sun, with their symbols, you know, the symbol on the flag.
This individual cut out the Japanese rising sun and then put it underneath the free Palestine flag and then, you know, LGBT, trans support, gay flag, gay pride flag and stuff right here at the top.
It is such a gross act that this individual lives in Japan They are actually walking in Japan and doing something like this and then they gladly are happy that they the ones doing it
they even outright admit it, but I want to show something that is really interesting about this individual that I really want to point out, and that is the fact that this guy, like this guy actually, it's a guy, laughing as a woman, trying to laugh as a woman, not
yet, you know, in September of this month, you can see where they have the flag and what they're rocking here, Free Palestine, why isn't the people, the party of the sceptics, always the most violent and most, like, heinous individuals that want to do things to other cultures
and basically be colonizers, honestly. Like, they legitimately are cultural appropriation and colonizers. But if you go back to September on this account, you will see what they're saying here is just really interesting.
You can see, like, all their mental illnesses full on display. Like, look at this right here. So, they literally talk about this. Like, literally, just pause the video and read that. Like, it's actually insane. and 67 comments on this, I'm willing to bet you that there's probably some nice things in this post.
But what I'm saying is that this person is going viral for just being outright disrespectful to Japan and it's like Japan really needs to deport this individual, right? Just straight up kick him out of the country because the fact that you clearly hate Japan
and you are ruining their flag and then just trying to push this type of stuff, it's like you don't belong in Japan. You really don't. 100% you should not be in Japan. And the thing to be said for, you know, this offer as well, which I want to show something,
this author also does stuff like this. Who would have guessed? Who would have guessed? It's just like, it is so strange to me how you always see patterns, or it's pattern recognition you see continuously when you see this type of stuff happen.
It's always the same group of people that use this to destroy certain cultures and LARP. It is, it's really gross, man. It's actually gross. And so, I just, the big point I'm getting at here is that Japan is really done with this situation.
They really do not like what the French are doing right now, what people within France are doing to anime and manga. And the fact that Japan is calling this out, and then in turn you have people from France and other places around the world,
and even people from the West, and I've even seen VAs and stuff that have quickly deleted their posts after, by the way, that have said that Japanese are racist for not wanting their works to actually be used in politics. It's like, excuse me?
Like, it's so insane where we're at. Like, honestly, I hate how anime and manga has become a battlefield for, like, a culture war in politics.
It really pisses me off because it like this was not a problem You go back six years ago six you know maybe seven years ago you didn have like this type of problem This was not a thing But now it literally everywhere You can avoid it
It's unavoidable. Because even if you don't want to engage with this, like, with the whole thing with anime being used for politics and the culture war and stuff like that, it will still come to you. You have VAs that are literally funding terrorist organizations and using anime to push this.
You have literally Crunchyroll that is taking control of the anime sphere and censoring things, changing the very culture. You have Hollywood infecting Japan itself with anime and games coming from Japan to censor it and basically make nothing but live actions out of it.
We have just so many different authors that are getting infected and not really knowing what's going on. Like, for instance, you have individuals like this that are thinking that they are doing the right thing by wanting to use manga to absolutely butcher and destroy their own culture. It's really gross, man, and it's interesting how they keep saying they're a party of no hate, no war, but then they straight up do stuff like this, and then they, like, literally burn things to the ground.
it's just like it also gets back into like the whole thing with Japan and how they are clearly done with this they're getting very upset and that's a legit you know when they try to call
this out they're just called racist they're called racist for not liking their culture being used like this but the same people that are taking Japan's culture and doing this are the same individuals that will call you a racist if you do one wrong thing or say the wrong word they will
say you're a white supremacist which by the way that's actually happened literally in the last 24 hours, I have been called a white supremacist for, um, even being against these violent acts and stuff going on, it's just, we have really lost, I think, a lot, and it's so sad, because it's like,
anime is being literally used like a puppet, it is, and it's sad seeing something that I grew up with being butchered and taken control of by so many bad actors, and apparently, like, you know, speaking
up about this is just, uh, you're a racist if you speak up about it, you're, you know, Japan is racist if they have a problem with it, it's like, no, I'm willing to bet you if this was, like, let's say, anything for the black community, and this happened, this
conversation wouldn't even be happening, they would not allow it, but, obviously, since it's Japan, and people like to say Japanese are white adjacent, that's why, that's why it's allowed, apparently, it's just, I don't think it's that, I just, I wanted to talk
about this, I thought this was very important to talk about, seeing just how Japan has really effect and response that they're getting for everything. But be safe and healthy. Chibi out.
